The Best Restaurants in Arlington

"Craving something comforting but a little outside of the familiar favorites? Poutine and spicy fried pickles are on the menu alongside the Tipsy Burger, which comes with so many possible combinations of fixings that it’ll make the head spin. Brunch is offered daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., along with a robust menu of draft beers, house cocktails, and wines. This place also has Austin vibes, with its outdoor seating with picnic tables and umbrellas under twinkle lights, and occasional live music. Inside is more rustic, with unfinished ceilings and wall-lined walls." - Courtney E. Smith

We loved the self seating outside. Even though it was hot (90+ degrees) it was nice getting there at 3:15pm on a Friday and their fans were blowing which helped some. Love the picnic tables and umbrellas. A waiter found us not long after we sat down. Very attentive and if you love margaritas—-these are the BEST on the rocks margaritas. Their food is so good too. You must try the blackened salmon BLT and the fish and chips! Pair with the sweet potato fries. They were perfect. Better blackened salmon than gourmet seafood restaurants. Our waiter was so good. We will definitely be back! And they have live music on the weekends so we have to come back to check it out. Sorry for the photos-we had already eaten most of the food!

Google
The service and staff were very friendly, the prices were great and I loved the beer selection here. I had the brisket sandwich which was very good, however the fries were a bit ordinary. It didn't seem to have any seasoning and they weren't super hot. I would still recommend visiting, as the atmosphere is great

Google
One of our favorite spots in the DFW area. I like their variety of live Music on the weekends. I do wish they had healthier food options but anything we’ve had there we like. From Wings, to Tacos, to Burgers and of course a cold beer. Haven’t been impressed with their cocktails but can’t ever go wrong with a cold beer. It is always hard to find parking but if you’re patient enough you can park for free on The street. Just a friendly note: on the weekends they do tend to get pretty busy so be patient., it’s worth the wait. Definitely recommend this place 👌

Google
I had the brisket grilled cheese and brisket cheese fries, it was fairly good. The blueberry lemonade (cocktail) is sweet and yummy, not tart like lemonade would lead one to envision. Waitress was excellent and food/drink quickly served. It is a loud environment, so for a quieter/intimate/hear conversations atmosphere consider their outdoor patio.

Chadwick King

Google
Just going to say they have some really tasty fish and chips. I really like the simple menu and the open atmosphere is kind of nice. This place is seat yourself. So you have been more. Don't be shy. Just grab your spot. Don't be afraid to ask to share if you're a small group. It's kind of the point. Enjoy the good music, good drinks and good food.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review – Tipsy Oak Me and my roommate came through to Tipsy Oak and had the best time! First off – the blackened salmon? A whole masterpiece. Perfectly seasoned, flaky, and packed with flavor – hands down one of the best salmon plates we've had in a long time. What really made our night though was the service. Shoutout to our wait person– Lindsey – she was AMAZING. Super friendly, attentive, and knew the menu like the back of her hand. She made sure we had everything we needed and her energy just lit up the table. The vibe here is chill, the drinks hit just right, and the food speaks for itself. We’ll definitely be back! — MP

Google
Great spot for brunch or lunch. It was very busy but didn’t seem overly packed. The food and drinks were good. Great options for Indoor and outdoor seating. It seemed like a good amount of parking, but be prepared to walk if it’s a busy day.

Google
I took my wife there for her birthday. The family had an outstanding time there. Service was first rate, the food and cocktails were bar none, and afterwards we had after dinner drinks at the fire pit in their patio. We will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Yea, cool vibe, great cocktails, service on point and the food is spot on! Elevated gastropub. We did a full sampling from poutine to lobster bisque and to salads and friend shrimp. Sydney provided the service that truly impressed on the patio.

Yelp
A fun Sunday afternoon lead us to The Tipsey Oak. We found ourselves on their awesome patio. Greeted by Jamie who had the most beautiful makeup and funny personality we knew the visit was gonna be good. First drinks my son and daughter in law choose a local Blackberry Meade and me a local hazy IPA. The bar is open to the large patio where the Tipsy Oak can be found. A stage for live music. Such a great venue. Fish and chips, shrimp tacos and a Fried chic salad for dinner. All was delicious and portions large enough for left overs. Thanks Jamie for taking great care of us!

Yelp
Food was amazing /I got the fish and chips. Fish was flakey and beer battered with tartar sauce and fries. Fries were great and crispy as well. My husband got the salmon BLT and said it was good but blackened spices were a bit heavy. Service was great! Only complaint was that indoors it is open air-so a bit warm and there were flies. Music outside was great and chairs were comfy. Large TV behind the band are laying Stars game

Yelp
We dropped in to the Tipsy Oak last weekend for a quick bite before a concert at Globe Life. It's my second time to dine here. Neither visit was something to write home about, but it wasn't bad either. We sat at the bar and were greeted quickly and got our food and drinks quick as well. My lobster roll on a gluten free bun was much appreciated. The lobster was cold, but some people like it that way. I'm thankful they have GF items in their menu! The margaritas are premade in a large dispenser, but with the grand mar I had our girl add, it was not bad. This place had been around for many years and still a popular spot.

Yelp
Can't believe I didn't know this gem was here in Arlington. My husband and I were looking for a place to eat and stumbled upon the tipsy oak. It's a really nice chill spot to hangout at. Our waiter was quick and attentive. I would for sure go back. I didn't know a grilled cheese could be so good. It was spicy too. We lived out drinks as well

Yelp
Sit where you want and someone will be over to help you. Waiter was easy breezy and laid back, while still being attentive. Looks like everyone pitches in to bring food and drinks. Each person that came by my table was super friendly. Solo dining tonight. Got myself a BoochCraft hard kombucha and one of their cocktails: the Texas Mule. That mule was delicious and strong. Glad I got a hearty sandwich with fries. This smoked brisket was everything. Cheesy and just the right amount of spicy from the roasted jalapeno. Fries were standard - cooked all the way through but nothing more to write about. This place is great to hang out with friends or pop in for a drink and bite.
google avatar

Yelp
What a cool place! Awesome vibe with an outside patio and good food!! We shared the brisket fries and then I got the jalapeno bacon burger. The service was very good and we really enjoyed our time! Next time we'll bring the pup. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Darla T.

Yelp
We ordered the daily special appetizer Brisket Elote Nachos. The cheese was simply Shredded Cheese that was not melted at all, with smattering of sour cream and Brisket. We were seated inside, but numerous flies were everywhere.

Yelp
We are in Arlington Texas for a concert and wanted to eat lunch locally. We decided on The Tipsy Oak. We were very happy with our choice. Our server Kelsey was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Her service was excellent. My wife had the Southwest Chicken Salad. It had good amount of chicken and the greens were fresh. My wife opted for the regular ranch dressing on the side. I had the Blackened Cod Tacos. Very good fish taco. The Sriracha aioli added to the flavor. I also ordered a side of Cole slaw. The Cole slaw had a very good flavor. We are planning on coming back for lunch, to try the brisket options. I found the prices to be reasonable. We liked to choice of indoor and outdoor seating. This place felt warm and inviting. We would recommend The Tipsy Oak.

Yelp
We have been to this location several times and have always enjoyed it. The food is good and the setting is fun.

Yelp
On a recent trip to Dallas for a concert, my husband and I were looking for a place to grab a bite near AT&T Stadium. I found The Tipsy Oak on Yelp and it seemed like a great place to hang out. The service was awesome, they were so busy but we definitely felt like we were being taken care of. We even got some good tips on how to get to the stadium and where to park. Food was also great bar food and the beer selection was great! If I'm ever in town and going to an event at the stadium, I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Nick V.

Yelp
I hope Tispy Oak remains as an Arlington staple. The food and beer is excellent. The brisket grill cheese is . A smaller menu than some places but definitely worth trying. The staff is friendly. I feel like they could use a bit more waiters and waitresses. The location is smaller and a bit more crowded. Your table may be right next to someone else. Some may consider this part of the charm given the ambiance and style of the restaurant. I personally could just a teensy bit more space. Definitely worth checking out!
google avatar

Lorri D.

Yelp
You had me at fried pickles! This off the beaten path spot has a great beer/wine/liquor selection, I opted for a local IPA. After I devoured the fried pickles, I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich, which was yum but I was stuffed so ended up taking 1/2+ home. Parking wasn't great, but worth looking, service was fantastic. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

Sarah W.

Yelp
I was visiting Arlington and saw on Yelp that this place had good reviews. You seat yourself inside or outside in the patio. It was hot outside so we sat inside. Inside was still warm even with the fans on. The place was crowded! We had no wait to sit down inside at 7:00pm. You could tell that it was a good spot because of how many people just kept coming in to eat. Outside had live music on a Saturday night. Inside was a pretty loud place, but I didn't mind. Server was friendly. Me and my family ordered the Chicken Hot Sammy with side salad, chicken tenders with honey mustard, steak salad, chips and Gouda bacon queso. We drank Yuengling, Blue Moon, and the Blueberry lemonade (alcohol). Everything was delicious. I would come back again!

Yelp
I landed here for an employee luncheon and so glad I did. We had a party of about 15 people and the service was pretty dang good. Our waitress was extremely attentive and worked noticeably fast as the requests for assistance were placed before her. Every dish that came to the table was piping hot and plated beautifully especially considering it was lunch time and we had a large party. I decided to try the brisket grilled cheese which included Gouda so I knew it would be yummy. It was paired with fries and boy was I excited to try it. Y'all when she brought my plate the entire table said "MAN THAT LOOKS AMAZING!" I quickly shouted "don't even think about it!" The bread was golden brown and buttery in appearance and the brisket was glistening and appeared to be full of flavor. OMG that first bite sent me to heaven and brought me back for more. I was full by the time I'd eaten half the sandwich and planned to take it back to work with me but that idea lasted about a nano second. I inhaled the rest and went about my day. Lol. Give this place a try if you're near UTA or in the mood to take a ride to Arlington. It'll be worth it I bet!

Yelp
Walked in. Was told it was open seating. Sat down and watched several servers look us in the face and continually fail to acknowledge us. Exhausting. Got up and left.

Yelp
My friends and I ate brunch at the Tipsy Oak since it was a dog friendly restaurant! The waitress was super kind and even gave us a water bowl for my friend's dog. Our service from start to finish was fantastic. However, the food was decent but not quite 5-star level. Starting on a positive note, my favorite was the fried pickles! The portion was bigger than I was expecting. They were crispy, and even so the next day as leftovers. The jalapeño ranch was absolutely banging as well. The fried pickles were on the saltier side, so I could see how some people may not like that. The brisket on the brisket benedict wasn't as smoky or flavorful as some other briskets I've had. I didn't pick up on a particularly strong garlic flavor on the toast. The eggs and hollandaise sauce were quite good though. The potatoes on the side were a bit greasier than I would've liked.

Tricia S.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was fast! Even though the line was out the door, it moved fast. Just make sure you know what you want to order. And for sure, try the Texas Twinkie!

Yelp
We sat ourselves at a picnic table type seating on the patio. There were lots of metal beer ad signs all over the fence as decor. We had a few drinks but let me tell you how great the battered fried bacon was that I added to my burger. Omg delicious. If you like crispy bacon you must try this. Our server was friendly and attentive too.

Yelp
I'm going to preface this by saying this is a cute spot, the staff were super friendly and there were lots of seating options (inside and outside & they are pet friendly). Met a friend here for brunch however we came near the end of brunch and sadly they were out of biscuits. What they did offer was $5 mimosas or a whole bottle for $20 and unlike most mimosas, this one didn't taste like cheap champagne drowned in OJ. So after lots of reviewing of the menu I went with California club sandwich and sadly I wish I had pondered a little more and went with something else. The ciabatta was soft and delicious however the Turkey left a lot to be desired. It's thick sliced Turkey that I believe they put on the flat top and whatever seasoning that was on the grill was now in the Turkey. Sadly the Turkey was dry and tough to the point I gave up on the sandwich. The fries (which I asked to be crispy) were on point however and I'd order again. My friend enjoyed everything about her meal and stated that she would come back. As I stated it was a great little place, I just didn't love my meal.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and every time it's been a pleasure. I love the feel and atmosphere of this place. The inside is quite small, but they have a pretty good size outdoor seating area. If the weather is nice, always sit out there. I've never had an issue with the staff, they are always nice and very helpful. When they get busy though, they can be a little slower, but that's expected. They don't ever really answer the phone though. The food is great. I haven't had one bad thing here. From the appetizers, to the entrees, to the cocktails, it's all very good. I recommend the pork belly tacos, the brisket fries, or the brisket grilled cheese.

Graylon R.

Yelp
Drinks are great and food and service are good. Really like the ambiance and overall atmosphere there.
google avatar

Kendy L.

Yelp
Great place to hangout with friends and listen to live music. It'll be hard to find a good seat on the weekend. I had the lobster roll and it was pretty decent. It was obviously mixed with other seafood to fill up the tiny toast. The coleslaw and fries were pretty good. I also tried the burger and it was pretty plain to me. The alcoholic drinks we had were really weak. We didn't taste any alcohol nor felt anything from them. Service was okay. Food came out pretty quick. The Drinks we ordered more did take a while though for some reason.
google avatar

Yelp
Tipsy Oak has a fun menu equalled only by the fun atmosphere inside and out! You'll arrive to a bustling patio of guests when the weather is nice. Inside, a fully stocked bar greets you upon entry. You'll find the inside tables are almost uncomfortably close together, but that won't matter once the food comes down. The food is all fun, filling, and hits the spot just right. The brisket hash was great, especially if you like sweeter BBQ sauce because it's full of it. The burgers come cooked to your taste, and the kitchen knows how to hit a medium rare cook time. There's a good beer menu with many local pours, and it's all served by attentive and friendly wait staff. Is the food the best lunch or brunch food ever? No, but that doesn't make it any less fun or memorable. They're quite good at creating each menu item - just skip the tacos. It's rare to feel like you had a good time just because of the atmosphere, but this is one place where that happened. I'd happily return.
google avatar

Amethyst G.

Yelp
Ate here after I got married in '22 and it's always filled with friendly and attentive faces. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a menu that suits all tastes. I personally loved the fish and chips and calamari. It's a hip tavern type of vibe and a little tight but they make it work. Portions are large, sharing is caring.
google avatar

Kacey C.

Yelp
We had great service here and enjoyed the outdoor seating area even in the middle of summer. It was a great experience as far as the atmosphere goes. The appetizers were all great! The lobster roll was just okay in my opinion. You could definitely taste that it had been frozen and I'm not the biggest fan of mayo on a lobster roll but it was okay. All in all, the food was okay. I would come back just enjoy appetizers and drinks outside.
google avatar

Crystal V.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere & service, but the food is absolutely always amazing no matter what you get! Been here several times & will not complain about making the drive from Forth Worth, because it's totally worth it!
google avatar

Miles C.

Yelp
We walked in and was told by a server that it was open seating. That same waiter walked passed us , looked at us from a distance, and was the same server we passed when we walked out. There were at least 4!other servers that did the same looked but did not approach, we even had a server that cleaned a table right next to us and never looked our way. After being ignored for several minutes we got up and left. I do not recommend!
google avatar

Katrice S.

Yelp
My cousin flew in from California for business so we decided to meet up for brunch. My brothers came from San Antonio as well. We had a party of 12. The outdoor seating area was nice. The weather was great. I had a dill pickle Bloody Mary and it was delicious. I ordered the lobster roll for lunch and I don't eat pork but when I did I was obsessed with pork belly so I had to try the pork belly lettuce wrap tacos. My lobster roll was good. If I have any negative feedback I would have preferred a plain roll. The roll is drenched in butter and toasted. It was like a thick piece of Texas toast with a slit cut into it. It was kind of soggy but the lobster was on point, my pork belly was overall good. Quite a bit of fat and waaaaay too much sauce. Also wrong kind of lettuce. Should have used something that could hold the weight of the ingredients. Our server was very nice and she constantly checked in. This place was super packed so I was impressed that she didn't miss a beat. 18% gratuity was charged. I thought it was for large parties but it appears that even when my party was going to the bar to get individual beers they were getting the gratuity charge. I was totally cool with this but some people don't like to be told what they have to tip. My husband and I will definitely go back for Sunday brunch really soon.
google avatar

Marla C.

Yelp
When we got here, my friend and I were seated quickly. We chose to sit outside. There were lots of seats available even though it was pretty crowded. Our waitress was super helpful with reviewing the menu and answered all of my questions. Originally, we went there for brunch, but I ended up getting a lunch meal. I got the salmon plate with roasted potatoes and asparagus. The salmon and the asparagus were cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed the chili sauce on salmon. The roasted potatoes tasted like the potatoes had been out for awhile and that they had just put garlic on top of them. I do like garlic so that was good but they were dry. But the mimosa made up for it, when I 1st looked at my drink, it looked like it was just orange juice. But I have to tell you that the mix between orange juice and champagne were perfect. I was going to another event, so I only had one drink. But I would definitely go back and try some of their other drink options.

Yelp
Stopped by after a Rangers game. Food was good. Really nice outdoor patio area. Will be back

Yelp
This is a beautiful restaurant in the heart of downtown Arlington. They have a wonderful outdoor patio, and great seating inside. The staff were very attentive, knowledgeable on the menu, and quite frankly awesome! We tried an appetizer, along with the jalapeño burger, and chicken strips. All the food came out quickly and was hot. The main hit was the jalapeño ranch, you couldn't get enough of it!
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
I ordered a delivery the fries were soaked in grease and the burger dry I guess they forgot the sauce and everything else
google avatar

TreeVera L.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was great and the outdoor seating was nice. We were leaving as the live music was starting but the music playing was good.
google avatar

Yelp
Service is great and the drinks are good with no frills. The food was not great. Our fried pickles were so salty. It was like eating salt. Skip please Wings were also not great. Come to drink. Maybe not to eat

Yelp
We came for the first time on Saturday around 5:30pm, was told to seat ourselves wherever we wanted. We picked a picnic table outside. It was not that busy yet, but it took at least 10-15 minutes before a waitress came by to ask if we have been helped yet, we were just sitting there waiting to order wondering if we needed to order at the bar. The food was good, we got fish and chip and fried shrimps. Seating outside was nice. Service was probably a 2, they have wait staffs running around like they're overworked and don't give a friendly vibe here.

Yelp
So I've had this on my bucket list for a while, and I finally got a chance to come so glad I did !! This place was packed on a Thursday night at 5 o'clock in the afternoon so that's always a good sign. Staff was attentive and food was amazing. I have to say the fried bacon on the sandwich Was out of this world never had anything like it!! My husband tried the grilled cheese brisket sandwich, and the lobster bisque and they were the best of both he has ever had (I tried the bisque, and it was so good creamy lobster deliciousness! One thing I noticed was the prices were very reasonable. I didn't know what to expect Since so many places have gone up just to stay in business with our new economy . So with that being said, add this to the love list
google avatar

Yelp
We've tried this place twice and ended up at Cane Rosso both times due to NO service. Inside, outside. Busy, not busy. Didn't matter. Management needs to focus on this. Best of luck.

Yelp
Food was awesome! Brisket fries, fried pickles, and the steak salad were great. 100% recommend
google avatar

Gabrielle D.

Yelp
I was definitely disappointed with my experience. Today was my first time going, and I went for brunch. I ordered the lobster Benedict and Moscow Mule. The Mule was good and brimming to the top. Unfortunately, the lobster Benedict left something to be desired. It was extremely bland which was a shock because of the sauces used. The potatoes that came with it were bland. Salt and Cholula couldn't even save this meal. Even my waitress seemed like she couldn't be bothered

Yelp
We found the Tipsy Oak on a whim when visiting Arlington, and its a hidden gem! I was craving a big, juicy burger- and that's what I got! I ordered the basic Tipsy Smash Burger, and added cheese and an egg. Hands down, one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The hand cut fries were delicious, and so were the drinks. My boyfriend had a sample of a few whiskeys, and I had mimosas. It's a rustic-style American eatery with country music, and a large outdoor patio. We loved the decor, and were surprised with how busy it was. The area itself doesn't have much going on, but this was the best spot we found in Arlington. The servers we spoke to were all friendly, despite how busy the restaurant had gotten. Our server got to sit with us and chat for a few minutes and I loved her energy. She really seemed happy to be there. It gave us that positive, Texas vibe we know and love. If you're wanting some hometown, all American burgers- this is the place!
google avatar

Yelp
I sat down and waited 10 minutes for one of the many servers to acknowledge me or bring me a menu. They never did, despite my continually trying to get their attention. I left.

Yelp
The dragon fruit marg is a must! The jalapeno bacon burger was delicious!Great food and great service!

Yelp
We were in town for the Woman Evolve conference and had a break from 1-4 so we headed over here. Upon arrival you could see it was a mad house. We were advised to seat ourselves so we proceeded to the outside area and grabbed a table. We sat for a bit and was never acknowledged so I went inside to grab some help to ask if we could at least have water brought to the table. They young lady was nice and said sure she'll be right over. Once she came over she took our orders which we settled on something quick since the place was in chaos. 3 salads, 1 lobster roll, fries and chips with salsa lemon pepper wings as an appetizer. The 3 salads came out w the chips n salsa while it took forever for the lobster roll to come out. It came out right before we were about to leave. There's no cooking involved so why that took so long had us all confused. We found out while sitting there that it was only 3 servers and they were waiting on more staff to be able to manage the crowd. Now if you keep your ear to the streets you'd be prepared for a time such as this because a lot of people that was at the conference (40,000 ppl) came over to the tipsy oak to eat/drink. One waitress was rather rude when we had 1 question and she's like im busy i'll come back which she never did. Over all it was a 5/10 and I would recommend on a slow day only.

Sarah R.

Yelp
Ambiance and service are great, but I'm not a huge fan of the food. No real complaints, just doesn't get me excited. But if you are looking for a great outdoor patio, drinks and good vibes, this is the place.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. Food was fantastic and not overly priced. Service was really good, fast and friendly.

Yelp
A good spot when it's not so hot! Ate on patio because it's a Cowboys game day! Very close to Stadium. Great Burger with jalapeños. Thick and prepared perfectly. Great homemade fries. Brisket tacos were good, sauce was a little sweet and pico on top. .

Yelp
This area of Arlington is tucked away from the beaten path and I'm not sure how you'd find it if you weren't looking for it. That said, I'm sure glad we were looking for it because we've found some wonderful places to eat and drink back here. The Tipsy Oak was this weekend's experiment and we were all-round thrilled. The place is about 80% outdoor seating which works exceptionally with the atmosphere. We ordered drinks first which consisted of two glasses of vodka blueberry lemonade and a glass of rosé. Two thumbs up all around. We ordered the fried pickles to start, which were very thin and surprisingly delicious. For brunch, I had the Huevos pretzel and the other two had the chicken and pretzel. All were delicious. The service was excellent and we loved the out

Yelp
I went on a Tuesday afternoon after work around 4pm. Parking wasn't too hard to find at that time; however, I can understand it might be a bit challenging during prime hours. The ambiance was nice and casual with semi low lighting. The music wasn't so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. It was pretty clean and the wait staff was very friendly. I ordered fish tacos with a dragon fruit margarita. The drink was the perfect amount of sweet and spice. The tacos were flavorful and fresh. I would definitely go again.

Visited here while in Texas for a LARGE women's conference and upon arrival, with the uptick of diners, things seemed a bit cumbersome but, the staff worked to get everyone served and things worked out fine. The Lemon Pepper wings were yummy and very tasty and friend well! We actually had to order two platters of them to ensure everyone got just enough! The Salmon Salad was yummy and flavorful. The lobster roll overflowed the bun and was spot on with flavor! Overall, we had a good dining experience here and highly recommend for a quick bite.
