The 18 Best Lobster Rolls On The East Coast & Northeast US - The Infatuation

"This off-road seafood shack is slightly off the beaten path towards Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, but it’s worth the small detour to try their fresh sweet lobster. Pieces of claws, knuckles, and chopped-up tail are tender, and mayo lends a soft creaminess to each bite. The bun is on the softer side, but the lobster is so fresh you won’t even care if the bread starts to fall apart after a few bites." - carlo mantuano, anne cruz, team infatuation

The 15 Best Restaurants In Bar Harbor, Maine 2024

"This small shack is a bit further away from Bar Harbor’s downtown scene, but its location near the bridge connecting Mount Desert Island with mainland Maine makes it a great first or last stop of your trip. It can get very crowded during peak summer months, but it’s worth the wait for lobster feasts and buttery seafood rolls. Large pieces in the roll are tender and beautifully creamy in each bite, and other things like chicken wraps and mac and cheese will keep the crustacean-averse happy.  " - anne cruz

Google
Best lobster roll I ever had in my life!! There was a full lobster worth of meat in the "small" roll-- the tail, and two full claws! Delicious warm with just butter added. Their crab roll is humongous and their blueberry pie has the perfect flaky crust. Nice outdoor bar. This place was amazing.

Google
The Travelin Lobster is the best! The food is a 10/10. Great Lobster and the dishes are tasty while still allowing the lobster the shine through. While the Lobster is fantastic, the feeling of this place is unmatched. The live music was fun, and the whole family running this business really went out of their way to make sure this experience memorable. Watching them cook the Lobster was so cool, and everything was fantastic. Please check this place out!

Google
This was my first time here and for my first time, it wasn't bad! I went with the clam chowder and the crab roll. Clam chowder was freaking delicious. I would go back just for the chowder. They do have the option of serving it in a bread bowl. Definitely going with that next time. The crab roll... was just okay. Crab/lobster rolls are always going to be a hit or miss. For me, anyway. I've had delicious rolls and not so delicious rolls. It happens, and it's almost always never the fault of the establishment. It's all in how they're prepared and what your preference is. I think next time, along with the chowder, I'm going to try the lobster mac and cheese. Looking forward to it! Service was great. The lady that took my order was helpful and kind. The food came out quick. (To be fair, it was just me, and it wasn't that big of an order.) I'm not sure how to rate the parking. I arrived maybe 5 minutes after they opened and I was lucky getting a spot. The parking lot was already pretty much filled up. Leaving was a little difficult. I ended up getting boxed in (sort of) by someone from NJ but I was miraculously able to squeeze my way out. Don't quote me on this, but I *think* they *may* have additional parking on the right side of the building as well, but I'm not entirely sure. Overall, not a bad experience. I'm definitely down to visiting again.

Google
We had our one and only true lobster dinner experience here and it was a delight! It was a hot day but fun experience. The other items looked great! Also shared some blueberry pie and ice cream. Good stuff!

Google
WOW! that’s about all I can say. Great food, great atmosphere, just what we were looking for in a Maine lobster dinner. The 1-1/4 lb lobster dinner came with mussels, corn, and melted butter and it was all so good. And it is very very reasonably priced. We enjoyed local Atlantic draft beer and finished with blueberry pie and ice cream - so good. This is a family business and you could just tell by the friendly service and the way the people working there - of all ages - pitched in. We arrived to see a line waiting to order so we knew we had made the right choice! Highly recommend.

Google
this was truly our favorite part of our trip! the lobster roll was DELICIOUS and we loved the lobster mac n cheese as well. the fast service and ambiance really makes this place id say! we were in and out in a half an hour give or take. Going to miss it all the way from jersey!!!

Google
Such a fun dinner option if you’re staying around Acadia. We got the mini lobster roll sampler, as well as the market salad. We loved the fresh blueberries on the salad! The hot lobster roll was definitely the best I tasted while in Maine, but I loved the addition of lettuce on the cold roll. It was expensive ($41 for the sampler and around $10 for the salad) but it was delicious and I loved the fun environment!

Google
This seafood place is great. Everything is fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable. Fast service. Ordered 1 1/2 lb lobster with clams and Summer ale. I can’t say enough how good it was. Place is very popular and always full. Live music. Strongly recommended.

Yelp
With a lot of options for lobster, I highly recommend The Travelin Lobster. It is a lovely side of the road family run business about 15 minutes from the entrance of Acadia National Park. The owner is a life long lobster fisher who goes out and gets the catch of the day, and his wife runs the restaurant. They offer a wide assortment of seafood options and different sizes for different appetites! My mom and I shared their lobster bisque and a lobster roll and with my first bite, I'm promptly thanked the good Lord for lobster. Everyone working at the restaurant was so helpful and as sweet as their blueberry pie the sell (from local blueberries!) They offer local non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. I personally recommend the cider for non beer drinkers who still would like to imbibe. They also sell fun merchandise of their logo as well as some commodities with lobsters on them, I was able to get a wine tumbler with a lobster on it for when I want to imagine I'm back here. We had the pleasure of being able to chat with the owner as he told us about his family run business. As a life long Maine fisherman, his food and recommendations was the warmest welcome we could've hoped for. Phil the owner/captain of the lobstering is lovely and works the morning bringing the lobsters in, and helping keep operations run smoothly. We missed the pleasure of meeting his wife, but did have the excellent experience of meeting Caroline. She worked as the bartender/oyster shucker and is an absolute peach. Both native Mainers? Mairiners? Anyways, they're lovely folks who welcome all and are happy to share their food and little slice of heaven (aka Acadia) with all who stop by.

Yelp
Maine abounds with Lobster Shacks so you've got to be discerning in your choices of where to eat. Lobster isn't cheap. My recommendation is to use Yelp to find the best rated and most frequently reviewed shacks and then read the reviews. They'll give you good insight into the why behind the locations ratings. The Travelin Lobster is a well rated shack. And for good reason. It's authentic - owned by a lobster fisherman and his wife for decades - and stocked daily with their private catch. We met the owner, Phil, and had a great discussion with him about "lobstering" and the challenges and hard work of that life. We stood in line, common at most good shacks, for about 20 minutes and then placed our order for a 1 1/2 lb lobster dinner with clams and corn on the cob and a large "hot" lobster roll. We grabbed a good Travelin Lobster IPA and a Blueberry Ale, found a place to sit. Our wait for our order was not long, about 15 minutes and Phil himself served us. The lobster was a large hard shell packed with meat. (I'm not sure how many soft shells (shedders) are available in October, but I'd like to try one before we leave Maine). The meat was firm, tasty, and the lobster was fairly easy to shell. The corn on the cob looked like it was over-mature, but was very tender to the bite and tasted just OK. It lacked the fresh corn taste I'm used to from Nebraska, where I live. The clams were fresh, meaty, a bit sandy (which I personally like) and tasted great dipped in the melted butter. The star of the lunch was the Large Hot Lobster Roll. It was $41.00 for the roll but contained almost three full lobsters of meat (learned this from Phil) and was a much better way to enjoy lobster than the $28.95 Lobster Dinner that I ordered. Overall, the Travelin Lobster was a very good experience. It lacked the "on the coast" venue and view of McLoon's Lobster Shack and for that reason, I gave it a four-star versus five-star rating. But I'd certainly go back - and I'd stick with the lobster roll and their great beers! Well done, Phil! Thank you for all you do! God Bless the Lobsterman!

Yelp
Out of all the places I have tried lobster in Maine so far, I would crown Travelin Lobster as my favorite. I enjoyed it so much that we came here twice during our trip! We tried the Classic Lobster Roll (large - 6oz for $38), Hot Lobster Roll (large - 6oz for $39), Lobster Mac and Cheese ($27), Lobster Bisque ($8), and Clam Chowder ($7). They were all delicious. Lobster meat was naturally sweet and meaty. There was SO much lobster on a roll! There is a decent sized parking lot next door, and they provide a bathroom so you don't have to use a pot-a-potty.

Yelp
Bar Harbor is another beautiful quaint little town, Acadia National Park is located close by. So we decided to eat before going into the park for the day. The Travelin Lobster was out of this world delicious!! Make sure you get there early, the line does move pretty quickly. This is an outdoor casual dining restaurant. They have plenty seating outside and some at the bar. All the food and drinks were so good, I cleaned my plate. We had mussels, lobster, and the rolls. Our food came out in a timely manner. Dont miss this yummy if your in the area! Free popcorn at the bar. Customer service professional and friendly! @glampedlife

Yelp
Hands down the best lobster we found while visiting Bar Harbor. The Hot Roll was incredible. We got the large, so 6oz of fresh, buttered lobster positively stuffed into the roll. So fresh and so incredibly delicious. Best lobster roll we have ever had. I believe it was around $40, but for how much lobster you got (and how fresh it was), 100% worth it. No way you will be disappointed. Also grabbed a slice of their blueberry pie with blueberry ice cream. Perfection! Not overly sweet, crisp crust, and tasty blueberries. Despite both the ice cream and pie being blueberry, they complimented each other well, and the blueberry was never overpowering. Really nice outdoor area to eat. Some firepits scattered around, plenty of seating, and a bar area. There was even some wonderful live music to enjoy! Definitely come here to get the best lobster ever.

Yelp
We came for a quick snack before heading to Acadia. There was a short line and numerous outdoor seats. We had steamers clams, mussels and a lobster roll. I paid with Amex and saw that they offered a cash discount. We got a number for the food and someone delivered them within 10 minutes. Mussels were not hot and lots were empty shells. Clams were good and wished they could have given us 2 cups to rinse off the sands vs only 1. Lobster roll was good like many others. This is probably our 6th lobster roll during our stay in Maine. It's no longer just the quality of lobster but the type of roll and toppings it came with.

Yelp
Can I give them more than 5 stars?? We stopped on a whim for lunch. My BF and I had lobster rolls which were loaded with fresh delish lobster. My son had the lobster panini which I couldn't even get a bite of. He said it was amazing. The salad, while expensive, was amazing. I'd order it again in a heartbeat. We will be back soon !

Yelp
The most phenomenal lobster centric meals! Casual, outdoor setting where the focus is on what's on your plate. Every dish is out of this world amazing! Super friendly service and cool, relaxed atmosphere. LOVED it!

Yelp
Hot small lobster roll was good. Would recommend avoiding cruise ship day. Lobster bisque was pass. Crackers were stale and no lobster. (But was end of day so most stuff sold out). Staff was excellent, view at park with borrowed blanket worth a stop!

Yelp
This was the best lobster we had during our trip to Maine! I had the salad topped with generous portions of fresh and delicious lobster. My partner had the small lobster roll, which came with chips, and we shared a lobster bisque. Everything was delicious. There's plenty of outdoor seating with a bar area on the side. Service was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

Yelp
Holy Lobster Roll!!! This thing was HUGE!!! It was well worth the $40 price tag!! Get here if you are in Bar Harbor..... u will NOT be disappointed. Also, PLEASE get the blueberry pie with the blueberry ice cream. I would eat this every single day of my life if I could!!! The service was awesome. Super friendly and made it a great experience. The ambiance is great as well.... Fun little atmosphere!
google avatar

Yelp
The best lobster roll I have ever had...so buttery and tender... laid back vibes and amazing IPA. My kind of place. I will be back.
google avatar

Breana L.

Yelp
Best lobster roll we had! We also got their blueberry pie with blueberry ice cream which was delicious as well. The roll had a great buttery flavor and huge chunks of lobster with a soft roll. The outdoor seating was also very cute and you get a discount if you pay in cash. This place is so popular there was already a line with 5 parties before they opened. Workers are also very nice. Would definitely recommend this place.

Steve G.

Yelp
Food was the ultimate! Service was great! Ambiance was casual outside which I was fine with! Not high end elegant tableware but the lobster rolls are what we kept coming back for..... EVERY day!!! None better!!!!

Yelp
Y'all. If you're in the Bar Harbor area or simply planning your trip to Acadia National Park, hold up a sec. Make it a priority to come here. Hands down the best lobster roll we had in the area. Fact. Heck, the fact that I'm not even from Maine and located in Seattle, yet writing this review is a testament of how good this place is. My friends and I came here after hiking around Acadia, and we ordered: Lobster Roll Clam Chowder Bread Bowl Blueberry Pie The lobster roll was the best we had in Maine. Just take a look at the photo: it was PACKED and THICCC (with 3 c's) with lobster. The lobster tasted fresh and so good - my only qualm was that the bun was a hotdog bun and not the toasted brioche, but the lobster easily overcompensated for that issue. The bread bowl was phenomenal. The bread ain't your usual sourdough, but it was toasted and almost resembled a garlic bread. The chowder was delicious too, especially after a gloomy day in Maine. The blueberry pie is not pictured, but rightfully so, as we devoured it! A perfect way to wrap up a hearty meal. Y'all. I'm still salivating over this place. This place needs more recognition for its delicious food. Great food, great ambiance, great people - what more can you ask for? Make an effort to stop by this place if you're ever in Maine!
google avatar

Heather T.

Yelp
Great place for lobster on your way to Acadia National Park. We ordered a bunch of items: lobster rolls, the seafood platter, lobster bisque, and the lobster salad. Note: there isn't indoor seating, you order at the window. There is covered seating under umbrellas though. The lobster rolls can be quite heavy but is super yummy. The seafood was super fresh. There's also free popcorn that you can help yourself to near the bar.
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
This place was a golden treat to find after hiking Acadia mountain. The weather was perfect outside and they have really cool ambiance -- surrounded by trees, lots of picnic tables with umbrellas for shade or fire pit for warmth. Everything is outdoors for this place. There are two parking lots on either side of the restaurant. They have an extensive menu! We ordered the lobster roll (small), lobster panini, pound of mussels, blueberry and ice cream. Everything was delicious, fresh, and amazing! Absolutely worth the wait if there's a bit of a line. We can't believe we almost didn't go here because of the distance from our Airbnb in Bar Harbor to here, but we're so glad we did!
google avatar

Yelp
By chance, a woman overheard me asking about lobster pounds to dine at and she highly recommended The Travelin Lobster which is a shack with a long line of customers located outside of downtown Bar Harbor. Now that I've eaten there, I can see why the lines are long. Here's what we had: A Dozen Oysters ($2.50 each) 6 Petit Manan and 6 Bar Harbor Blondes Freedom's Edge Cider The Downeast Feast: 5 - 1 1/4 lb lobsters, mussels, clams, corn on the cob & melted butter Clam Chowder Hot Lobster Roll (small for $26), comes with Miss Vickies Potato Chips Blueberry Pie topped with Udder Heaven Blueberry Ice Cream Everything we ate tasted fresh and delicious. Usually, when I order mussels, I get 2 or 3 bad/off tasting ones, but not here. Although clams were meaty (due to growing in cold water), they were sandy....crunch, crunch. While waiting for the food, there is complimentary popcorn which we took advantage of. Seating is outdoors with shade or seats at the bar. There is one bathroom. Paying by cash will give you a 5% discount. Yay!

R B.

Yelp
By far the best meal we had while in Bar Harbor and Maine. We shared the large hot lobster roll with just butter, clam chowder and corn on cob. Best lobster we have ever had. Super friendly staff. We sat next to where they boiled the lobster, clams etc. fun to watch. The line is worth the wait
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
We came here on the recommendation of someone we met at the Bar Harbor campground and I have to say I wish we were able to find and thank her for the recommendation! This was the best lobster our family could remember having and it was nicely priced for the times. We ordered: Half dz. Petit Manan oysters Half dz. Bar Harbor blondes (my fav). Clam Chowder Lobster roll Bluberry Pie Freedom's edge Cider However, the big deal here was the Downeast Feast! It is literally big - huge! For about $100 you get five lobsters, a ton of mussels and clams and five corn on the cob served in a big metal washbucket. Served with a bunch of melted butter and lemons. Yeah, baby, this is what we were looking forward to in Maine! The lobster was perfectly prepared and we devoured the shellfish as well. Frankly, when we've been to other lobster places on either coast, east or west, we are always left wondering, "This was OK, but why the fuss over these big bugs?" Not this time! It was super fresh, tasty and a much different experience than we've had before, even though we've had fresh out of the tank lobster (I mean, sent to the West coast from Maine by jet and kept in a special multi-thousand gallon lobster pen). This was twice the food, half the cost and infinitely better tasting! Oh, God, now I want to go back to Maine! The other stuff was also pretty great. No duds (ie. closed shells) in the mussels and clams, and they tasted great as well. Sweet, sweet corn. Fresh oysters, all great! The other star of the meal was the excellent staff at the TL. They were friendly, engaging and efficient. Once you get through the line (there is always a line) and sit down, it all happens pretty fast - but, they are not rushing you. it's just that you are not waiting for someone to come and take your order, etc. It all just rolls and the the folks are fun to talk with. So, when within a hundred miles of this place, make the effort to come and treat yourself!

Yelp
This is the best lobster roll I had in bar harbor, went to the location by the freeway; super fresh, tender, strong ocean flavor, more meat. Great value, $29 slaw roll 4 oz meat, samplers 3 mini rolls $41 6 oz. Nice clean big outdoor patio seating with hand washing station, fast service. A must try!
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
Bottom Line: Excellent lobster and fair prices at an outdoor eatery about 10 - 15 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. I can't imagine that there is a better place for Lobster on Mount Dessert Island whether it be a whole lobster or lobster roll. When my husband and I visited the Travelin' Lobster in May 2022 they weren't open so we vowed to return to Bar Harbor and try the Travelin' Lobster. In June 2023 we visited the Travelin' Lobster on an unseasonably cold, windy day and it was worth the wait! Since the "feels like" temperature was in the 30s I started with a cup of Clam Chowder which was good. Then it was time for the headliners - I had the Grilled Cheese Lobster Pannini and my husband had the Classic Cold Lobster Roll. Both were excellent with huge chunks of lobster. Travelin' Lobster is a roadside stand with outdoor seating. There is a bar, picnic tables and a few propane powered fire pits. We huddled around a fire pit and still froze. Had the weather been more typical for June I think we would have really enjoy the fun, casual atmosphere. The employees were friendly. We paid with cash for a 5% discount. I can't imagine another trip to MDI without visiting Travelin' Lobster.
google avatar

Yelp
Had the best lobster roll of my life here. Seriously it is the best you can get anywhere. Pictured is the 6 oz hot roll. Lot of butter on this and the bread sort of turned to mush. Came back again and got The Sampler which was a great way to taste each version. Honestly thought I got more lobster with the sampler. Hot roll is a must!

Yelp
Eating here was the best way to start our Bar Harbor, Maine long weekend! It was on the way from the airport and the food was great, ambiance and decor was casual, festive and nicely done. We ordered a lobster roll, crab roll, and 2 Lobster Ales. The rolls came with chips and a pickle and everything was perfect. We really enjoyed ourselves sitting outside here. It was busy but there were enough free tables and they bring the food and drinks to your table for you after ordering at a counter. If you're hungry get the large lobster roll, the regular sized one is hot dog bun sized which is pretty standard. The lobster was really tender and very tasty. Highly recommend! Definitely get a Lobster Ale while you're there too.
google avatar

Tessa D.

Yelp
The best lobster roll I have ever had. I had the small hot roll and my husband had the large. Our rolls were absolutely stuffed. We also ordered the blueberry pie with blueberry ice cream. We may have been stuffed but I cannot recommend the pie enough. The staff were amazing. You can tell they are truly happy to be working. Take the trip and enjoy this amazing place. The outside seating made for the perfect stop after a long hike.

Yelp
100/10 the BEST hot lobster roll I have ever had!!! Not only was it the most delicious but it was a huge portion and I didn't even order the large full size roll!! No other restaurant has even come close to their lobster rolls. Their lobster bisque was fire too! I don't live in Maine but when I come here again I will make sure to visit again. It's mostly outdoor seating so be sure to bring lawn chairs if it gets busy. I tried many lobster rolls in Maine and this spot is hands down the best roll I had in Maine and the best one I've had hands down. You won't be disappointed coming here!
google avatar

Yelp
Deserves all the hype! Great lobster, great vibes. The lobster dinner was delicious-- loved every bit of it from clams to claws to corn. We got a seat near the bar where the lobster bowl was on tv and some local folks were reminiscing about their own lobster bowls. I had my first blueberry ale here, which I'm now obsessed with-- though it's way better here than in the can with the blueberries in the glass. Just great, top to bottom!

Yelp
Oysters: Maine blonde was smooth and buttery. Yum! They were quickly snatched up and my brother said he could have gone for more. About $2.50 per oyster I think. Free popcorn! Always a perk Downeast Feast: $112 for five tails, five corns, mussels and clams. Everyone felt this was worth it and got a lot of lobster. No one was left feeling they did not have enough. It easily fed four of us and we would have been fine if it was five. It would have been nice to get a side of the bread rolls, but not necessary considering the amount. Really solid service and place. Tried a bite of the lueberry pie and ice cream and it was yummy as well!! Everyone was satisfied. Thumbs up all around.

Yelp
Been to Bar Harbor for several years in a row now but this was a new one. Remarkable lobster and they don't go easy on the butter. Traditional is an option for those that don't like the butter (and the locals apparently get it traditional - meaning cold lobster meat with mayonnaise or plain). Forgot to take pictures but we came a little before close after leaving Bar Harbor. Great outdoor patio area. Just order at the window - sweet people working here.
google avatar

Anthony V.

Yelp
This place was yummy. After seeing so many reviews about this place before heading to Acadia we knew we had to try it. It didn't disappoint. We were there in the fall so we didn't see the updated fall hours. We barely made it on time. Even though we were there for closing time the staff didn't rush us. I guess the out door seating arrangement helps with that. The kids loved eating lobster!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little roadside place. Went for the blueberry pie and ice cream. It was great and fast! Better than be ice cream shop down the road for sure!

Yelp
THIS PLACE!!! We stayed about a week up in Maine and tried a variety of different lobster serving establishments. This one topped the rest. It's a roadside spot, with a nice covered outdoor bar area and additional seating after you order at the window. Ordered the lobster bisque which was packed with chunks of delicious lobster and I got a bonus claw on top, which was worth it. Other bisque I had nearby was 100% puréed no chunks which was very disappointing. I also ordered the Slaw Lobster Roll which has coleslaw and thousand island dressing which was loaded with tender lobster meat. The restaurant is away from the bustle of downtown Bar Harbor but it is popular. I found it to be much more reasonably priced than other places we tried. Finally, the service was great! Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Realized I didn't write a yelp review from my trip last summer 2023, Hot Lobster Roll & Blueberry Pie with ice cream! The best meal!

Yelp
Outdoor food stand with amazing food and good prices. We would eat here again and they can accommodate lots of people. One of the best places I have eaten at in Maine!

Yelp
A must stop in the Bar Harbor area, and our favorite foodie place from our trip. Amazing service, great people, good food. Ordered: Hot Lobster Roll 9/10 Clam Chowder 9/10 Blueberry Pie and Blueberry Ice Cream 10/10 The lobster was fresh, tender, and packed the roll completely full. The clam chowder was savory and warm on a cool night. The blueberry pie was great, and the ice cream is one of the best we have ever had. It had an amazing creamy texture, no ice crystals at all, and was packed with blueberry flavor. The service was a 10/10, everyone was so kind, endearing, and genuinely happy to be there. A few bartenders gave us great recommendations for the remainder of our trip as well. We really enjoyed all of our interactions with everyone there. We really can't overstate how great the service was. The atmosphere was everything we wanted. A cool outdoor area, little string lights, and really welcoming environment. Not to mention, the price here truly can't be beat. If we were local, we'd be here often. This place lives up to the hype.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! We had been on a lobster boat tour and the captain recommended this as the place to get good lobster for a reasonable price. We ended up ordering a smorgasbord of different things to try. First up was a mini lobster roll. It was great, the lobster was overflowing the bun 5/5. The lobster grilled cheese was next, wow, it was like a lobster roll take to the next level. Again, full of lobster and gooey cheese. 7/5, would get again and again. Also grabbed some lobster bisque to dip. It was your average soup 3/5. Not as beautiful as eating pier side but the food was delicious and they certainly didn't skimp on lobster!

Yelp
We drove here tonight for lobster because of the rave Yelp reviews. It was very good, but not the best I've had in Maine. Part of the problem was a miscommunication with our order and we ended up with a grilled cheese panini instead of the lobster cheese one. The lobster roll was fine, but I'm not a fan of a lot of claw meat. Might explore further. I did take a photo of current prices in case it's helpful!

Yelp
Food was really great. Service was incredible. The owners and wait staff really took time to see if we were enjoying everything. That's good service. Ambiance was great! Outside on a perfect fall day. Plenty of fire pits if you're cold.

Yelp
Would give it 6 stars if I could. Stopped for a late lunch after Acadia. The lobster rolls have so much lobster they are overflowing. Only thing is go early I hear the blueberry pie is amazing and they were sold out! Staff is super friendly and lots of places to sit.

Yelp
Summer of 2022's best lobster roll. Of all the lobster rolls I've tried this year in Maine, the Travelin Lobster BLT was the best one. I'm usually not one for anything other that traditional lobster rolls, meaning just lobster on a bun with either a little mayonnaise or butter, but this one with 6 ounces of lobster with bacon, lettuce and tomato was easily the best one I had. Quite frankly, I ordered the BLT version by accident as I didn't see the other options online but I'm glad I did because this was yum. It was the priciest roll I had this summer but it was worth it. The lobster in the roll was minimally dressed with mayonnaise and that's all it needed as it was perfectly cooked, claws, knuckles and tail. In fact, all the entrees featured noticeably fresh lobster with minimal dressing including the lobster salad, which had 3 ounces of lobster meat with a lemon vinaigrette dressing. A slice of Blueberry Pie and the local favorite "Old Soaker" Blueberry soda to finish a meal was the perfect compliment to the meal. Pro Tip: Order ahead if going during peak season as that line from the roadside view is a little long. Pickup at the side window dedicated for pickup with ease from super friendly staff once you arrive. FYI - They close for the season in Mid October.

Yelp
Great selection of beers on draft. 5% discount with cash. Small lobster roll is plenty! Lobster Mac and Cheese very rich and decadent! Plenty! Lobster Bisque heavenly as well as the cream rich Clam Chowder! Everything served hot. Service was quick and courteous. Clean nice roadside stand! Could not be better! BTW The Restroom is new and clean!

Yelp
Really something else. You wont get better lobster anywhere in town. At first I balked at the prices. But when you realize the amount of lobster you get, the sheer size of the chunks of meat and the amount of those chunks you get, it makes it worth it. Everything taste amazing and I will def go back next time I'm in town. Had the jumbo shrimp as well which were massive and amazing

Yelp
We had this on our last night and maaaann do we wish we've had more time to eat here! Prob the best priced lobster roll in town. Also the only 1 of 3 restaurants we tried that had a warm lobster roll as well as the regular cold ones everyone seems to serve. Everything was real good, service was great- real friendly, ambiance was very chill. Would definitely visit again!

Yelp
By far the best lobster spot in Bar Harbor, and there are many. It's slightly outside of the downtown area (10-15 min) but well worth the ride, or just stop on your way in. I got the large warm lobster roll which was about $36 but it was LOADED with claw, knuckle & tail meat. They did not skimp one bit. It was overflowing and delicious. It's nice to see a place give you what you pay for and not charge a premium and then give you scraps. It also came with a pickle and bag of chips. Seems like a great family owned business, can't wait to come back.

Yelp
We started our trip with this amazing lobster place!! The 5 stars are legit!! Hot lobster rolls were the best of our trip. Mussels were super good. They have a 3% discount if you pay cash so bring some for more lobster!! Blueberry pie was really good. Overall it was the best way to start our Bar Harbor vacation! You will not regret coming to this little lobster heaven!!

Yelp
We were hoping for some lobster/sea food before leaving Acadia. We stopped here on the way out and everything was delicious.

Yelp
Best lobster of the trip. Fresh from the boat. Quaint, outdoor venue. Get there when they open!
