8 Michelin-starred Indian Restaurants Around The World

"The peacock is India's national bird and is used for striking decorative effect at this contemporary Indian restaurant at The Venetian, along with copper, glass, screens and Sadeli mosaics. The chef hails from Kerala but his menu covers all parts of the country making good use of quality ingredients; through the window you can watch his team working with the tandoor oven. At lunch an appealing and good value buffet is provided." - Michelin Guide Digital-Singapore

This is our first time in Macau, and we came directly to The Venetian Hotel. The design and spatial planning inside are exceptionally exquisite and beautiful, making it impossible for us to get enough of exploring. Whether it's shopping, dining, or taking photos, especially the internal Venetian canals, it gives you the illusion of truly being in Venice. It's a beloved spot and a great scenic location for taking plenty of photos. If you haven't visited Macau yet, I highly recommend it, and the egg tarts are incredibly delicious.

Husband I visited for a look (we did not stay in the hotel itself) - the casino is huge and we had fun with some small bets but could see large bets going on. The hotel itself is very interesting to walk around - has a real feel of Venice in places - especially around the indoor canal area. It’s a huge area to walk around with high end shops, bars and restaurants but very worth a look around and much enjoyed.

This is, and has always been my favourite hotel in Macau. Sadly it still hasnt recovered it's service provision since covid. Back in the day the range of restaurants one could choose for breakfast was amazing... and the whole hotel felt alive. However, I can't blame the hotel for covid! Hopefully as time moves on it will return to its former service level. For now, the rooms remain amazing... the pools are decent, although I wish they were deeper, and the location is fabulous.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The hotel exceeded all my expectations. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. Staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The amenities were top-notch, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. I especially appreciated the smooth check-in process and the delicious breakfast. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back!

The Venetian Macau is a stunning masterpiece of Venetian-inspired architecture, with breathtaking ceiling frescoes and grand pillars creating a palatial ambiance. The Grand Canal Shoppes, a shopper’s paradise, feature luxury boutiques beneath a mesmerizing artificial sky that mimics a Venetian dusk. Gondola rides with serenading gondoliers glide through serene canals, while diverse restaurants and a vibrant casino offer world-class dining and entertainment. This opulent destination blends culture and indulgence, leaving you enchanted.

The room are clean and tidy, location is excellent and is close to shopping malls. But I’ve got a room full of cigarette smell even though I’ve already requested for a smoke-free room. The manager did offer to change our room but our room will not be at the same level as my family’s, or if I choose to have a same level room I will get a room without a bathtub which I refused both options. But the manager did helped out a little by giving us an air purifier machine to be placed in our room. Overall experience is still not quite bad, hope they can improve in this matter in the near future!

Venetian was not able to accommodate our reservation, it was confirmed by booking.com I have 3 suites reservation and I was only given one room for 12 guests. We have 3 kids, 1 infant and 1 elderly. Service from front desk was really bad. We all slept in one room, 1 king bed like sardines. My 60th Bday and vacation was a nightmare. They didn’t even give my cake for my Bday. Very unprofessional. Will not recommend to anyone especially my family. I checked out the next day, found a better hotel service and we were catered.

The Venetian MacauWhat a grand entrance. Absolutely beautiful and elegant. You know when that you have arrived in a 5 star hotel. Checkin was super easy. Passport, inward documentation and a signature and you are done. Check-in staff (Sofia) absolutely helpful. Finding our room was a challenge though. Instructions were given but at 11.30pm and a 9hr flight and a 50min bus ride, the details got a bit scratchy at the end, but we got there. Well, you have to go through the mall and find the entrance to the wing that you are in. I guess shop while you are going to your room or window shop. The room was grand in all sense. The room size, design, furnishings, and amenities, were of top quality. Bed was neither hard nor soft but in the middle and pillows just excellent, just what we needed after a long day and in every sense, a five star quality. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. Breakfast was a little disappointing. When I had booked on Trip.com, it said breakfast included and didn’t specify type however at the time of check-in I was told that breakfast will be a la charte and it is set menu that we have to choose from. Upon reading the fine print of the booking at the desk, and pointed out by the Manager, it was correct and if I wanted buffet, I had to pay extra. On the hind side, Breakfast set menu was not too bad. Portion was good and food was served and set rather well. I would still would have loved the choice in a buffet. As for the hotel in general. It’s part of The Sands group and all the hotels are connected with a different theme and vibe based on a European city. You can walk internally with name brand shops all around, just the theme changes whether it be a London, Venice or Paris look. A bit of a maze which is pleasure to get lost in as there is always something to grab your attention. Lots of eating choices choosing from high end restaurants to food court style. Irrespective of which concierge service you go to in each wing of the hotel chain, they are all very polite helpful. I guess the question to ask is, would I come back to the Group if I am to visit Macau, most definitely. The Venetian was incredible but I would like to try another theme.
