10 Great Asian-Owned Vegan-Friendly Restaurants In LA

"If stuffed french toast or chik’n and waffles sound like the ideal brunch meal, The Wild Chive in Downtown Long Beach will not disappoint. It’s a vegan soul food restaurant that first began as a vegan pop-up series known for signature brunch items like the monte cristo sandwich and buttery grilled BLTs. After much success, it evolved into a brick-and-mortar in the fall of 2019. Soozee Nguyen is the Vietnamese-American chef/owner, and she wanted to create a space that brings people together through good food that just happens to be vegan. Nguyen celebrates her roots with popular menu items like the breakfast banh mi or banh mi bowl, which our friend Crystal highly recommends ordering in addition to the shroom city burger. I’d order the warm flaky biscuits with sausage and country gravy, and bring a few friends to hang at the communal tables." - esther cho, with warm welcome

A Guide To Boozy Brunch In Long Beach

"Almeraz describes The Wild Chive as a place to get “amazing vegan food for brunch,” and also praises the staff and owners. “I had a morning off the other day and went to The Wild Chive with some friends of mine,” she says. “I highly recommend it.” Order their Chick’n & Waffles or a Grilled Burrizo, and pair it with a Michelada or IPA. Now located on Broadway, the restaurant evolved from a pop-up to a brick-and-mortar restaurant where you can find delicious vegan dishes. A Pride flag hangs inside and guests are welcomed by a huge painting of RBG." - danielle bauter

Google
Weekly spot to enjoy the MOST AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS vegan eats! Recommend that you always get the special if there is one! One of the agua frescas, coffees, or a choice from the variety of other drink selections are a must have. The photos are from different times, mostly specials. Anything on the menu is the right choice - just depends on what you're feeling. The ENTIRE staff is great! Fun, attentive, and absolutely the best team. Do your tummy and taste buds a favor and visit the Wild Chive! The art hanging and on the walls, and entire restaurant decor are the vibes!

Had brunch here on a Sunday morning and it was busy, but no wait. Our server was so pleasant and kept our waters full. I had one of the best micheladas that I have ever had and my country breakfast was tasty! There was a bit of a dog kerfuffle while we were there, but the staff didn't seem rattled by it and other than that a perfect brunch!

Google
When a vegan foodie friend came to visit California recently, we went here for brunch, and it was fabulous. The service was great, our server was so cool, and the decor and vibe were on point. ALL of the food was so good, including the fried pickles! I got the French toast and cleaned my plate. My friend also loved her breakfast entree, made of tofu. I would definitely return, and I’m not even a vegan. Check the hours - they aren’t open late. Parking is just street parking and in the residential neighborhood.

Awesome vegan comfort food. Nice people. It is my favorite place to eat in Long Beach I went there again on August 4. The lady at the desk smiled and handed me a menu so I could choose my lunch. I told her what I wanted and she took me to the counter and helped me place my order. She invited me to have a seat while they prepared my lunch. I was wondering how I was going to hear them call my name. No worries. When my order was ready she brought it to my table.

Google
I'm not a vegan but I definitely would recommend this place to anyone who wants to give vegan food a chance. One of the best vegan brunch spots that I've had! I got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and it was amazing. They made it with house made condensed oat milk and I can't wait to go back to have more! We also got the Monte Cristo, Zucchini bites and Mushroom burger! So so good!!

Google
The vegan patty melt was great, the breakfast scramble a bit saltier but tasty as well. Nice staff.

Google
First time we try this place and it has become our new fav brunch/lunch spot in Long Beach right away! The food is super tasty and healthy, definitely one of the best vegan food I ever had in LA. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. To top it off, the patio tables and indoor/outdoor space make it very dog friendly which was perfect for our dog (it’s also 5min from Rosie’s beach, so very convenient!)

Joseph McElmeel

Google
Staff and atmosphere are kind and cool (minus waiting ten minutes for a water refill), but the best thing we consumed was the Aqua Fresca. Mushroom burger is over-salted, has the worst of the store bought bacon on it, and lacks any interesting flavor. Tatar tots were okay, but uninspired. The salad was a British type of salad (eg Tree leaves). We didn’t eat any of the breakfast desert items (French toast, pancakes, etc), but those do look better than what we had. Doubt I’ll risk coming here again and it won’t make my best of Vegan places in the world bookmark.

Yelp
What happened to this place ??? Only 4 'Main' items left on the current menu which were, by far, the worst 4 item from their older menus (which were always filled with bangers down the lineup!) This french toast/pancake/basic-ass-breakfast direction is definitely ~not it~ I can go to so many other places, even non-veg, and get this menu... bring back the risk-taking-bangers like the Monte Christo or the Burrizo! Or even roll out some new bangers! We TRUST in The Chive! Just please, I'm begging, crying, pleading, on my knees, don't go basic now... But, seriously, what happened here? We used to go once a week when the brick-and-mortar first opened and it was always a highlight of the week; I'd even request only Wild Chive Gift Cards if I was asked for gift preferences during the holidays lol... Now it's a shell of its former self... A once-staple of the now slowly decaying LB vegan scene... *single tear rolls down cheek* Pour one out tonight for one of the best to ever do it, The Wild Chive! It's like watching Michael Jordan play on the Washington Wizards; obviously only respect for The Chive, now and always, but man, tough to watch forsure! The Chive still be unanimous first ballot Vegan HoF!

Yelp
The food was gooodddd there were some flies in there but it was a good vibe and good service.

Yelp
I am not vegan but don't mind a bit of healthy food. I came here for an early lunch with a group this past Friday and was pleasantly surprised. I previewed the menu before arriving, so had a good idea of what I wanted. It was a debate, however, between the country breakfast and bbq chik'n salad. I opted for the salad, as it was one of the newer items on the menu, according to our server. And boy, am I happy I did! The chik'n was very flavourful -- I really enjoyed the BBQ sauce (I even asked for extra). The salad is also tossed with a southwestern ranch dressing. Personally, the dressing was a little chive-y for my taste, so I would have gone a little lighter on it.. but that's OK -- I was able to tone it down with the extra BBQ. We also had some fried zucchini, which was also very tasty. My one recommendation to the restaurant would be to have larger water glasses. I felt like our server had to constantly come over to fill out glasses, as you get about three sips from them. (We had just finished a walk, so were pretty thirsty.) Highly recommend The Wild Chive! 2024: 34/100

Yelp
Heads up - Weekends require reservation! The Wild Chive has such a cute interior! Hanging lights, wooden accents, RBG on the wall... it's a vibe! It felt so fresh and open. There's also an outdoor seating area. I'm always intrigued by vegan food, and everything on their menu sounded delicious. We ordered the Shroom Burger, Chive BLT, Grilled Burrizo, Pickle Fries, and side of French Toast. Everything came out hot and fresh (emphasis on HOT! I burned myself on the Burrizo haha). The pickle fries were crispy and yummy, but the dipping sauce was too salty IMO. The french toast was pretty standard - nothing to write home about here. Other than that, everything else was overly salty, and unfortunately, not enjoyable for me :( I'm not sure if that's the nature of vegan foods, but it was a bit hard to finish due to the saltiness. While I loved the interior and friendly service of The Wild Chive, don't think I'll be returning as the food was overly salty.

Yelp
Sometimes I consider making a trip down to Long Beach just so I can go to Wild Chive. This vegan brunch spot makes some of the best comfort food I have ever tasted! They also have tons of gluten free options and everything I've tried was absolutely amazing. The restaurant is open air and has lots of room for dogs, kids, strollers, etc. The staff is super friendly and accommodating- I always love chatting with them. Don't miss the amazing iced sweet tea and hibiscus teas! I also love their scramble and the burrito bowl. The flavors and textures are so good that you won't even know it's vegan!

Yelp
The fries here are like no other!!!! If you get one thing here, it has to be the fries!!!! They were super delicious!!!!! Perfectly made. The burger was delicious, too, but those fries are very memorable!!! Service was phenomenal. Our waitress was incredible!!! Super friendly and helpful. The hostess was great, as well. My sister ordered the Grilled Burrizo and we each ordered a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee, for me, was super strong but I doctored it up a bit with sweetener and it was much, much better (to my liking). Would recommend if you're in the neighborhood. : )

Yelp
With a cute name like The Wild Chive, I wanted to check this place out for myself. The staff was friendly and the service was good. If you're going on a weekend, be sure to make a reservation. They're highly encouraged. We made a reservation and got seated right away. There is only street parking, which was a negative for me. For being vegan, the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Grilled Burrizo were tasty. It has a good brunch vibe. Vietnamese Iced Coffee 4/5 It was cold-brewed "Cafe du Monde" coffee with house-made vegan oat condensed milk. Grilled Burrizo 4/5 The burrizo had soft-scrambled tofu, soyrizo, sauteed kale, slow-roasted peppers, sweet onion, and shaved herb potatoes. It came with a delicious smoky chipotle aioli. The fries were amazing. I love the chive dipping sauce!

Yelp
Chanced upon this cute little spot while walking my dog in the neighborhood. We didn't need a reservation on a Saturday, although the place was a bit packed. We ordered the chick'n French toast, the burrizo, Jamaica and Vietnamese coffee. Everything tasted absolutely delicious! My husband didn't know it was a vegan spot and commented, "wow babe this is the lightest, fluffiest chicken I've had" that's how good their vegan meats were! The service was a bit slow, but that's expected with how busy this place is. I would recommend this place!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great spot. The wild chive is an awesome name! And the service is really good. The quality of food is like four out of five. And the atmosphere is probably a 4 out of five. But overall, I'd give it a 4 to 5 star experience. I'm just gonna round up to five stars. Definitely recommend checking out the Wild Chive.
google avatar

Yelp
My son and I walked in for breakfast one Saturday. Once we were seated, I discovered it was a vegan restaurant. Now, I am not a vegan and wanted some eggs but I decided to stay and give it a try and I'm so glad we stayed because it made my taste buds very happy. We were so full we had to go for a 2 mile walk after that. Can't wait to go again. They have limited hours. They close early afternoon so get there before 2pm For sure.
google avatar

Greg C.

Yelp
The sign on the door says "all are welcome", but when you walk in - the decor and servers are aggressively clear on specific geopolitical views, indicating that no, not all are welcome. Why does a vegan restaurant need to have a "Boycott & Divest from Israel" mural on the wall? My family did not feel welcome here. We walked out & would recommend Jewish patrons avoid this place, as it is not safe and welcoming as described. Too bad, the food looked good.

Yelp
i've been coming to wild chive for years! nothing but good things to say about the staff and the food. vibes are always up and the specials are always bangers ESPECIALLY THE BAHN MI!
google avatar

Gaea R.

Yelp
One of the best monte cristos I've ever had. I keep wanting to try other menu options but I literally cannot NOT have the monte cristo. I will say though that everyone else who I've eaten there with has been more adventurous and they have all enjoyed their breakfast choices equally as well.
google avatar

Riyah P.

Yelp
I should start out by saying when we walked in the vibes a little off, kind of judgmental but we decided to stay anyways. It was myself and my uncle who is an older gentleman. We sat and ordered and the food was delicious! Got the country breakfast and the French toast, both very good. Didn't like or expect how heavy I felt afterwards and thought it would be the opposite since it's vegan but I was wrong. Id still go back but maybe just to order take out.
google avatar

Shana S.

Yelp
One of the best plant-based spots anywhere! The decor is vibrant and the vibe is hip and lively. Service was fast and everyone was so kind and helpful! Highly recommend the BLT. It is sometimes difficult to not keep getting the same thing every time because it's literally perfect. The pesto chicken sandwich on croissant was delicious as well. Dairy-free horchata? Yes, please! So good. I have been missing Vietnamese coffee since going dairy-free and theirs did not disappoint!
google avatar

Mariah D.

Yelp
Really great spot in a more residential neighborhood. Spacious with high ceilings and a big, comfortable open air vibe. Queer friendly establishment (and neighborhood) with attentive and friendly staff. Vegan breakfast, brunch, lunch faves. Melts that melt in your mouth!
google avatar

Ariel S.

Yelp
AMAZING. I love the fact there's a few all-vegan eateries with brunch options in L.A. County. But this one ... right here... SPECIALIZES in brunch! I've been here several times AND never had a bad experience! it's an eclectic, chill ambiance with great music and activism as a backdrop. I love that! The staff is amazing and answers all my questions! I personally also like watching my food be prepared and there are chefs whipping up specialties through a glass window. I've had the entire menu and I don't think I have a favorite! The pancakes, "egg", "bac'n" are great! I will say the chick'n Sammie is one of my favorite vegan burgers I've EVER had thus far! Their sauces/vinaigrette are fire and made in-house like: hot sauce, [my favorite] the garlic-chive dip!
google avatar

Emily Z.

Yelp
I was happy with the number of options here (all vegan yay). Zucchini fries were so tasty, and I also enjoyed the scramble. French toast and fries could have been better. Burrito was alright too but all the sauces were delicious and enhanced the food a ton. Would go back to try their other items. Note: they were cash only when I went. They said they're in between systems right now so make sure you bring cash in case they're not set up yet.

Cal L.

Yelp
Wow... the chef of this restaurant really knows their flavor profiles. This has got to be the best food I've ever had in a restaurant since I went vegan. We got their French toast as a side (AMAZING!!!), BLT (really savory and had a lot of depth of flavor), and the country scramble (so filling and good!). Portion sizes were huge and we took half of the food home for later. Most of the staff seems to be LGBTQ+ which is awesome.
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
A vegan brunch spot worth visiting whether you're eating a plant-based diet or not. It's really that good! It's pretty hard to get a last minute table here on the weekends; they are reservation only, but it's possible to still stop by and snag a table if there's a cancellation. I had such luck this past Sunday for a group of 6 of us (4 adults, 2 children) and it worked out pretty well. The place was pretty stroller friendly and the ambiance inside is really nice. Lots of natural light, open air possibilities, and just a cool little farmhouse feel of sorts. I like their vegan french toast, coffees, and also had their Chive BLT which I definitely recommend. If you're looking for some tasty vegan eats, don't miss out on The Wild Chive...it was named as one of Yelp's Top Brunch spots too for a reason. It's damn good!
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
This a must try spot. The beignets are enough alone to bring me coming back. And reasonably priced for only $10. The other food was great as well! The potatoes were also amazing. Ambiance and service were great. If you're contemplating trying just go!
google avatar

Virginia D.

Yelp
Great vegan breakfast & lunch spot! Love the space- very open & airy. Service was good. Hipster staff LOL But of course than main event is THE FOOD. Had the monte cristo, was thrown off by the sweet & savory combo, but it was tasty nonetheless. Hubby had the fried chicken sandwich & offspring had the chicken & French toast. ALL DELISH. Vietnamese coffee was also 100
google avatar

Chantal A.

Yelp
We flew in from Miami and found this amazing establishment on yelp and I'm so glad we did. The service was top notch. Pancakes- heavenly buttery and slightly crisp edges with a fluffy center. I was so pleased. I wasn't a fan of the tofu scramble or the bacon but the fried chicken was outstanding. French Toast- just like grandma's. Please get the homemade coconut whip cream.
google avatar

Nancy V.

Yelp
The food was great, and if you're thinking of getting the beignets, get them! Service was great, the staff was friendly and nice. The ambience was super vibey loved all the art and the string lights hanging indoors.
google avatar

Yelp
Vegan or NOT!! This place is a party for your tastebuds!! Drinks and food alike all FLAVOR filled!! Music is always playing in the background. You're greeted by a sweet host, servers and bartender are literally all a WHOLE VIBE!! Chefs and owners are legit just wanting to create a safe and YUMMSTER space for all humans and puppies of all sizes I always get a Jamaica! It taste like Mexico but I usually MAD DROOL over their breakfast pancake with vegan Nutella spread Pictures posted are of Valentines Dinner they had!
google avatar

Yelp
Comfort Food in a Vegan Style in an Adorable Old School Building. Add in the trimmings of artsy, fun & pro staff, great music plus amazing flavors and textures... this place is indeed a five star spot. Yes it's a GREAT PLANT BASED spot and you gotta go try it! Note: For the meat eaters out there, - it's a GO! Try it you'll like it!! You can get all the flavor you want with less vein clogging animal proteins.

Yelp
Came here on a whim and was absolutely delighted with this place. The sign out front said reservations required, but we lucked out that they had some space for us as a walk in. A nice variety of vegan food, which all looked and smelled amazing (definitely coming back for the French toast). They also serve cafe du monde coffee. Orders: Grilled burrizo with breakfast potatoes: a packed breakfast burrito that looked like it was pressed with one of those panini press machines. It didn't look like a lot volume wise, but it was! We left with half of it in a to-go box. I really liked dipping it in the chipotle sauce that came with the potatoes. Country breakfast: Texas toast with a vegan scramble that included tomatoes, house made sausage (vegan), potatoes, and cheese. It was so much food and so good! Crispy pickle fries: the favorite of the table. I wish I could have a bucket of these. They were perfect. Couple things about the vibe of this place that made me feel at home: it's super queer friendly, there's a huge mural of RBG, and the people working there are fantastic. Shout out to our server, Kesic! They were super helpful getting us oriented to the menu since we had never been there before and just an overall wonderful human.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place, always a great vibe, the last great place in LB. Always great options, tasty fried chicken, great drinks. I love bringing my non vegan friends n fam here they always leave happy n full. Service is always on point too.
google avatar

Lina T.

Yelp
The food was delicioussssss!! Service was also very attentive! I had the Chikin Sammie with fries and the flavors were great. I wish I had taken a pic of it cut open to show you all. I love chipotle sauces so the spread worked for me. Another big highlight was that they had crispy fries! The Chikin was seasoned well and the texture was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and I would come back. My friend had their BLT and also said it was good. She finished her meal as well. We just wish the tater tots had something else to make it stand out. Overall the vibe in the restaurant was great, it was packed once we left so I'm glad they have the recognition they deserve!
google avatar

Yelp
So far we have seated and the server was on point and ready to take our order. It's not really busy at the moment only about 4 couples eating and we just ordered the burrizo and shroom burger and its been about ten minutes and its being brought to our table. Lovely timing since we are in a rush! I took a bite of the burger and instantly wished I ordered this instead of my burrizo! The burger has a soy mushroomy meatiness that's passable for a decent filling burger due to the umami of the shrooms the price point is kind of crazy for no meat on the product though and level of flavor profile. Lovely profit margins for them but perhaps a bit limiting for your typical consumer. As we all know my reviews are based on quality and the amount you get for what you pay for. The burrizo on the other hand was homely as I'm biased because I make these all the time at home and it just basically tastes like I made it which isn't bad but isn't great especially at the price point because I could feed a group of ten people these burrizos for the same price as this one. I feel it needs to be a little less mushed together and needs to rely more on its individual components, layered, and seasoned with something that overcomes the store rizo taste and compliments it like fennel or anise rather than being mashed because the soyrizo I buy from the store like this is overpowering everything which has a decent processed taste but eventually after eating half of the burrizo I was over it flavor wise. It was more filling than the burger though but lacked the memorable umami smack the burger had. Overall the service is on point but the menu needs a little more love and thought that focuses on individual components or signature seasonings

Yelp
Food : 10/10. I've ate here twice and I've ordered the BLT and beignets all the time. So I definitely recommend the BLT. The beignets are also really good! I tried the stuffed French toast and it was DELICIOUS! It wasn't too sweet like you'd expect a French toast to me. It was the perfect amount of sweet and very fruitful! You really do forget that you're eating vegan because the food is that good! Service : 10/10 the servers are nice, friendly, and welcoming Ambiance : 10:10 it's pretty spacious inside with high ceilings. Art is cool!
google avatar

Heather L.

Yelp
Very cute find. I couldn't decide on what to order because everything on the menu looked delicious but finally decided on the grilled burrizo and was not disappointed. The winner though was the pickle fries and garlic chive dip - highly recommend ordering these! Plenty of parking and the vibes were perfect for a weekend brunch outing.
google avatar

Bryson L.

Yelp
The food here was great, especially for vegan foods. It is great that they take reservations too. That being said, a couple of things were lacking here that could be improved. Service was one of the issues which while very friendly, we did notice at times that our waiter was nowhere to be found and it was difficult to flag someone down. If you're good with a very casual dining experience, you probably won't feel rushed though. The second issue was that their savory foods seemed to be very salty. I would highly recommend their beignets, those were delicious. Overall, great brunch spot.
google avatar

Carly D.

Yelp
i got the monte cristo with a side of fries and a vietnamese coffee. all were amazing!! i couldn't decide between savory and sweet, so the monte cristo solved that problem for me. very cheesy and the french toast was incredible. the fries were crispy and cooked perfectly. the vietnamese coffee was a little too sweet for what i was feeling, but it was still so good. the service is amazing too! my server was very knowledgeable and attentive. there's plenty of seating with inside and outside options. i came during the weekday morning, so it was very chill. overall really great and i would come here again!

Yelp
The Wild Chive is a bright, Vegan breath of fresh air. I didn't realize before coming that everything here is Vegan but even as a meat-eater I didn't miss it. Everything was so fresh and service was off the charts personable. We went with the Chive BLT and the Wild Shroom Burger and both were packed with flavor and left us with enough to take some home. The bread on both just took it to the next level. Reservations are required on the weekends and you don't want to miss this brunch.
google avatar

Divya M.

Yelp
Was so excited to try out this vegan brunch spot! Unfortunately the menu was a little limited than what was online. I really wanted to try the chicken and waffles but their waffles machine was down. Instead we got the chicken and pancakes and the chicken Sammie. Both were delicious and portions are huge! I loved the interior decor - very fun and modern. The menu selection is a bit small but i would definitely still recommend checking it out! Staff and service was wonderful!

Ms H.

Yelp
This place is hidden gem in Long Beach. The mushroom burger is oh so delicious. The zucchini is so good I can literally eat everyday. The zucchini dipped in garlic chive dip is like Lay's Potato Chip you just can eat 1 order. The atmosphere and hospitality is very welcoming. I frequent here often.
google avatar

Teresa B.

Yelp
I love the ambiance here. I've had two friends recommend this place to me. The menu is straightforward and simple, a couple of entrees, sides, and drinks. I ordered the shroom burger with tater tots, but found the burger salty. The chipotle aioli or sauce paired perfectly with the tots. If you try to park on Broadway, then the locals will honk at you for being too slow.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Your mushroom burgers are the best on the planet! They are worthy of five stars! I am saddened to learn that you are now using canola oil instead of peanut oil to fry up our goodies. I cannot believe you would choose such an unhealthy seed oil in your delicious organic menu! I beg you to reconsider, possibly using organic rice bran or avocado oil. The vegans and vegetarians want to continue to support your fantastic Long Beach location. Please help us to do, even if you have to charge us slightly more for not to die for options.

Yelp
The Wild Chive is hands down one of the best brunch spots I've ever tried! I've been wanting to try TWC for years -- first while they were a pop-up and then as a brick and mortar. I'd never made it to either due to my inability to get myself together and out the door in the morning. This time it was meant to be as we were visiting friends in LBC just a few blocks away. I made a reservation so we didn't have to wait for a table. I highly recommend doing this because it's a fairly small but very popular brunch spot. We were seated immediately, but it took a little while for a server to come by. Though they were pretty busy, our server was still really friendly and took the time to answer all our questions. I chose the grilled burrizo and it was awesome! The griddled tortilla was filled with a nicely seasoned tofu scramble, kale, soyrizo, peppers, onions, and potatoes, and it was served with a chipotle aioli, accompanied by a fresh side salad. The flavors and textures complimented each other perfectly to make it so much more than the sum of its parts. My dining companions were also very pleased with their choices. I had a bite of my husband's country breakfast, and it too was delicious. The chive BLT looked amazing and was packed with avocado slices. I also had a taste of the chick'n and waffles which was fantastic. The coffee was good, the service was friendly, the ambiance was airy and modern, and the experience was excellent! I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
This place is outstanding! My friend is a Vegan and so we decided to try this restaurant on a random Saturday. At first, we were a bit nervous if we were going to get a seat or not because it looked pretty busy in this Saturday. We didn't have reservations, but the hostess say that she would be able to accommodate us. Note**Make sure you make reservations especially on the weekend. We ordered our food and we were amazed! We ordered Breakfast in Bread, Country Breakfast, Vietnamese Iced Coffee and the French Quarter Beignets. All the food were delicious! The soft scrambled tofu that they use is their entrees was delicious and I don't know how else to describe but---[insert the chef kiss emoji]. The beignets was delightful! I can still remember the smell--it was so good. I'm not a big sweet person so that is telling you something. The place is located in Belmont Heights. I love this neighborhood and it wasn't hard to find parking. Definitely a cool and earthy vibe to the restaurant and great customer service.

Yelp
SERVICE - located off of the main road in Downtown Long Beach - street parking only - may need reservations on the weekends - dine in and take out options - open decor with lots of wood seating - service was fantastic! The server was extremely friendly and helpful - food make quickly MENU - brunch food - all vegan, gluten free marked - average price ($18 per entree) FOOD - country breakfast (6/10): scrambled tofu with house made sausage, roasted potatoes, onion, bell pepper, tomato, arugula, and meaty cheese with sides of toast or tortillas and gravy. This is a fairly classic brunch dish with a lot of different components. We opted for tortillas as the other dishes we ordered came with bread. I was confused by the gravy at first and would have preferred a side of avocado instead. The scramble was well spiced but slightly on the saltier side. It is a good dish to share. - stuffed French toast (7/10): caramelized Texas toast filled with chocolate hazelnut spread, strawberries, and banana with a dollop of coconut cream and a side of maple syrup. If you are looking for an indulgent dessert for breakfast, this is the perfect dish. The chocolate spread tastes like a richer version of Nutella and pairs well against the sweet fruit. The maple syrup on the side is not needed since I felt the dish itself was already quite sweet. - wild shroom burger (9/10): grilled potato bun layered with a crispy mushroom patty, melty Gouda cheese, roasted tomato, bacon slices, garlic aioli, and arugula. This was our favorite of the three dishes. All of the flavors and textures were balanced with spice and creaminess. The bread was the perfect vehicle to absorb some of the sauce without getting soggy. - tater tots (4/10): this came as a side with the burger. They were not terrible but I was not amazed enough to order them on their own. WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! The food and the service were fantastic.

Yelp
For a Vegan restaurant, this place is actually pretty good! I only say that because I am not vegan lol My husband has been wanting to come for weeks and we finally came out and when I asked for cheesy eggs for the kiddos because that's their usual breakfast request they replied with everything is vegan lol (completely our fault for not doing our research) so we switched up our order and ordered the kiddos some pancakes with fruit and they loved it, definitely a good day for them! I tried their pancakes and ended up ordering one of my own, very delicious! We also ordered the chicken and French toast and the French toast was really good, it had a caramelized cinnamon taste to it and we also ordered the BLT and some zucchini fries which were all very good as well. Loved the decor to this place. I think the only thing for ME personally since I have 3 under 3 kiddos, we weren't given high chairs so it made it a bit difficult for us and the music was a bit loud for our liking. Overall pretty good, so if your vegan I highly recommend!

Yelp
Food is always great when we go. Can't go wrong with any of the selections, and don't forget to leave room for the beignets!!!

Yelp
Probably our new favorite vegan brunch place! We randomly found this place since we were in the area and we couldn't believe we didn't know about this gorgeous place. We tried the burrito and got tater tots on the side, it came with a side of vegan aioli. Burrito was flavorful and I liked the tater tots too, they were fresh. We also got their stuffed french toast which was just the best thing I have ever had. It was stuffed with chocolate, bananas and strawberries. I couldn't believe that vegan french toast could taste this divine. I would come back just for this french toast, and would also love to try other things on the menu too. Service is nice, people are friendly. The first time we went on a Saturday we were able to get in without a reservation but when we went again on a Sunday few week later they couldn't accommodate us so I would strongly recommend getting a reservation. If you are vegetarian/vegan and looking for a brunch place, look no further.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to try this place on Friday. I ordered the Berry & Banana French Toast. It is only now that I remembered to post and yes, I forgot to take a photo. Suffice it to say, it was absolutely delicious. Not a crumb was left! I will definitely go again.

Yelp
My friends came over to chill out on my deck to enjoy some peaceful beach vibes. I was surprised when they brought lunch. They are vegans and the selected the Monte Cristo sandwich and vegan fries. The meat was vegan ham and it taste pretty delicious as it had a smoother texture then regular hand. I could taste syrup in my bread which was different and I was not a big fan of that, but I blowed right through as the sandwich overall was good. Love the French fries and the dipping sauce. I plan to go back t dine in next time
