"Following the splashy opening of Theodora, the Miss Ada extended restaurant universe is expanding with a bakery called Thea, just down the block in Fort Greene. We’re excited to try their lemon pistachio babka, and sandwiches like a chicken milanese with matbucha and pickles on challah. They’ll also have grab-and-go items from Miss Ada and Theodora, like pita and hummus, and their smoked baba ganoush." - will hartman

"A Fort Greene bakery from Tomer Blechman (owner of Miss Ada and Theodora) offering items like tahini banana bread and lemon pistachio babka, with flavors often showing a Mexico City twist plus coffee cinnamon concha, cotija with falafel on pita, grab-and-go salads, and in-house pantry staples." - Eater Staff
"Thea is from the team behind Theodora, a seafood restaurant in Fort Greene where people come for the dainty fish plates, and stay for the breads. It makes sense that they'd open a bakery. Thea is right down the block, and has a similarly minimalist interior, but an impressively lengthy menu of sweet and savory items. If you're not sure where to start, try the mango labneh maritozzi, a thick slice of tahini banana bread, and a BLT sandwich on focaccia. In the morning they have egg sandwiches and avocado toast, and after 11am there are tortas and falafel. Also grab a loaf of sourdough for later. With interesting options like a guava ricotta danish, you'll probably order way more pastries than you ever intended to, and that's going to be the best thing you do for yourself all week. "A twice-baked babka serves as both cookie and filling, with babka ice cream swirled with babka crumble and rolled in salty babka brittle for a highly indulgent, weekend-only treat that tends to sell out quickly." - Charlotte Druckman
