Ordered a variety of dishes. Fantastic concept for a mushroom-based menu. We enjoyed most of the dishes. The chanterelles could have been spicier since it leaned towards more of the Asian influence. I’d skip the king royal trumpet. It’s pricier and not worth it. Didn’t taste the ricotta that was noted on the menu. We like beech, chestnut, and blue oyster. The dessert was good. Service was okay. The waiter was friendly but we had to wait for our water to be refilled constantly. The runner who brought us the food could also be tasked with refilling water perhaps if they notice that when bringing food? The timing between dishes could be improved. Waiter never asked if I wanted another beer which is fine as I can ask myself but it shows the lack of attention. We overheard from the other tables times where he missed things or repeatedly apologized for the wait. It’s a fine place to try once as it’s unique but wouldn’t be a place to return to on a regular basis unless the menu is constantly updated.

So many delicious choices. Made for sharing. Different influences, Asian, Italian, American, and all so yummy. We enjoyed all of them. Friendly staff is knowledgeable and made solid recommendations. Beautiful space, cozy & romantic. I will definitely return and would recommend it to friends.

Third Kingdom in New York is an absolute gem! The food is delicious, with every dish showcasing a unique variety of mushrooms, making it a paradise for mushroom lovers. The service was flawless—attentive, friendly, and professional. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between elegance and coziness, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. And you must try the lobster and the lava cake with porcini ice cream—it’s an unforgettable dessert experience. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining experience!

I came to Third Kingdom on my birthday night. The waiter was very nice and put a little candle on our dessert lava cake. The cake was delicious and the mushroom ice cream on the side was definitely very special tasting. Had a very nice time there.

We love mushrooms and this is the only all mushroom restaurant I know of in existence. The food was tasty and the service was nice. The had some cool wall decorations. I will say it was very hard to figure out what things actually were from the menu, and the price did not scale well with size, so ask your server for some specifics unless you like surprises. Our favorite dish (BEECH) was something that was not at all what we expected it to be but was great!

I so badly wanted to give a full 5-star review since I've been so excited to come here. Unfortunately, the hostest/waitress was anything but pleasant, welcoming, or interested in our experience. Not only did she refuse to smile or greet or even be pleasant to be around, but not once she bothered to ask us if we were enjoying our meals. For such unique & exquisite experience & cuisine, the staff should match it. As far as the food, it was outstanding. I don't think anyone wants to try these dishes with a taste of other cultures but instead the unique flavors that most dishes have. So, I will skip the dishes that have a strong cultural attempt. The presentation was stunning & flavors left me so happy. The dessert was absolutely delicious, so it is a most. The atmosphere was great. It was freezing, but not much they offered to do about it. I'm definitely coming back & and I definitely highly recommend it. Hopefully, next time, the experience will be better. Congratulations on an amazing menu excfor 2 of the dishes.

Upscale vegan dining. Delicious, creative dishes—perfect for mushroom lovers! Portions are a bit small for the price, but the flavors and ambiance make it worth it. Lion's mane: 9/10 Ramen: 10/10 King Royal Trumpet: 10/10 Blue Oyster: 8/10

This place is an amazing experience. Finally a place that validates my opinion; that mushrooms belong in every dish! Everything I had was mouthwatering and delicious and vegan. I still can't believe this place exists, but I'm grateful that it does. We tried a ton of the dishes; everything was excellent. They served the very best Mac and cheese I've ever had in my entire life! (And I'm a huge Mac n cheese fan, so that's really saying something.) The mushrooms were the pasta; just wow. I loved it so much; I can't wait to go back for more! I also loved the potstickers and the dessert was simply unbelievable. If you like mushrooms or plant based dishes; this place is a must visit. I highly recommend stopping by at least once. (Though I don't see how anyone could go just once and not have a strong desire to return; frequently.) Take some friends so you can share the dishes and everyone can try more. I took my sister, her partner and their toddler and I'm so glad I did. Everyone enjoyed it and everyone found a favorite dish. My sister is not really a huge fan of mushrooms, but she really enjoyed it too. Looking forward to returning. The waitress was super helpful with her suggestions and very friendly. I also appreciate the decor; every picture on the wall had mushrooms. What a fabulous idea for a brilliant restaurant. My hats off to the chef and my deepest gratitude to the owner who saw this dream to fruition. Thank you!

Completely blown away by the mushroom-based dishes at @thirdkingdomnyc with Executive @chef_juan_xaltepex_ , an @overthrowhospitality restaurant among one of our favs @sodaclubnyc, @avantgardennyc, and many more! We absolutely loved everything we tried: - Lions Mane Dumplings - Beech Mushrooms in Cauliflower Cream - Chantarelles in Cilantro Sauce - Fried Enoki Ramen with fresh House Made Noodles in a creamy Sesame Coconut Cashew  Broth ( My husband greatly enjoyed this one without me since I am allergic to cashews ) Thank you @allende_chef for the recommendation! - Lava Cake with Rosemary and Porchini Ice Cream with Candied Shitake ( takes 20 minutes so recommend ordering ahead ) I cannot recommend this place enough for such innovative and delicious mushroom dishes. And I am obsessed with the mushroom decor! And if you are not a mushroom person, have you tried good or different types of mushrooms? Being vegan has opened my mind to try so many new foods and cuisines. I had this negative perception of mushrooms growing up as a kid... gross looking... slimy... but once you try a good mushroom or the different variety of mushrooms, you might pleasantly surprised!

Came here to entertain a vegan friend. I am not vegan but we both like mushrooms and were hyped to find this place. The decor is super cute and feels like being in an artsy friend's house. Our server was really nice and cool and was like chatting with a friend. It was recommended to order multiple dishes to share so we did. The dumplings were my favorite and my friend's favorite was the ravioli. We were very curious to try the lava cake dessert because of the unique sounding ingredients as well as the seeming glowing reviews here on Yelp about it. We both found it gross and couldn't finish it. I understand everyone has different taste experiences (if you like it, fine) but personally it was so unpleasant and not a fun way to end an otherwise good meal. Although the overall meal wasn't terrible and the service was stellar, I didn't leave feeling very satiated. I'd recommend this place for a light meal but not really a place to go if you're starving or looking for a celebratory feast.

I went to Third Kingdom tonite with a friend who hates mushrooms because I figured if anyplace could convince him to eat mushrooms, it would be this place! Since there would be no other option hehe. Anyway he did end up liking the mushrooms! I also thought it was very good. We had the chantarelles, the enoki, the dessert lava cake, one of the oyster mushroom things and the beech. And we liked all of them! Service was great and very friendly. They even sat me before my whole party was there, a new york delight! Very fun mushroomy ambiance, everything is mushroomy. If I had any complaints it would probably be that you really have to order a bunch of things so it can get a bit pricey. We ordered 5 things (including dessert) and for two people that was like baaarely enough, i could have ordered another two things and eaten all of it easily. Also: not loud! Yay a not loud restaurant in Manhattan! Very beautiful presentation. My buddy took a lot of pictures.

If you're mycophobic, Third Kingdom is your eighth circle of hell. Not only is the menu centered on mushrooms, but also the entire restaurant's decor is in tribute to this versatile organism--right down to the candles. Cue the screams. If you're adore fungi like me, Third Kingdom is pretty much what heaven would look like. And taste like. We got nearly everything on the menu, and the dishes ranged from fantastic to very good. That's right--the worst were still very good. How rare is that in a NYC restaurant? The fantastic: Beech, Maitake, Blue Oyster, Chanterelles The excellent: Yellow Enoki, King Royal Trumpet, Black Pearl Oyster The very good: Pioppino, Forager's Corner, Dessert (lava cake, rosemary & porcini ice-cream, candied shiitake, chocolate crumble) All this without every incorporating animals or animal products. My golly goodness. If Third Kingdom is THIS good in its first year,, I can only imagine how delectable it's going to be from here on. Hurry and try it before the Michelin/James Beard circuit discovers it (albeit deservingly).

The Third Kingdom has a cosy atmosphere with beautiful decor pictures and a warm color scheme. It is a great place to relax with a great selection of drinks and a friendly staff. You will find some of the tastiest dishes you would never have imagined could be created with mushrooms on the trendy mushroom Vegan menu. Regardless of whether you are a vegan or not, you will not be disappointed if you visit this restaurant.

Absolutely delicious fun cuisine! Everything was so elegant and earthy. I every dish we tried was an experience for the eyes and tastebuds!

I was pleasantly stunned by this restaurant. I'm usually not one for vegan food, but I do love mushrooms. My friend wanted to come here for her birthday and between the 3 of us we split 5 dishes and 1 dessert. This was enough food for the 3 of us where we were satisfied, but not stuffed. Beech - tasted somewhat like Mac and cheese, but with mushrooms instead of pasta. Very good and great starter dish Maitake - probably my favorite. The pickled mushrooms were so tasty Pioppino - I wasn't sure how I felt at first, but I think the watercress really enhanced the dish and I would order again Black pearl oyster - this one had a bit more of a Mexican flavor with the inclusion of the mole sauce. It was a nice palate change but not as good as the others. Blue Oyster - definitely a standout for presentation, but taste wise it was the least remarkable. If anything, I was actually most shocked by the dessert. It was a lava cake that also had mushroom flavor in the cake part and candied shiitake, but paired with rosemary ice cream it was sooo tasty. It left me shook. It was sweet too that the restaurant had put a candle in it for my friend's birthday. The service was great and I thought it was a great restaurant period, not just good for being vegan food. I would definitely recommend.

I came with some friends on a cold and drizzly evening and we were welcomed with the cozy interior and amazing menu at Third Kingdom. Everything we had was SO GOOD - even if you don't like mushrooms (or think you don't) I promise you'll find something you'll love here

As an avid lover of mushrooms, I was extremely excited to try this restaurant. However, I would not come back here solely because the service and staff. Came here to catch up with some family as I haven't seen them for a while. However, as soon as I got there they had told me the hostess/waitress in the front was rude to them. My sister had wanted to use the bathroom and the restaurant was a few minutes from opening and they would not allow her to do so. This left a bad taste in our mouth but we decided to let it go and just wait the couple minutes outside. When I went back in by myself and told her my name and party number, she immediately made a snarky comment like ah yes the party that needed to use the bathroom you can use it now. Train your staff better. The most outstanding dishes were beech (a take on macaroni and cheese) and the blue oyster. The dessert took close to 50 minutes to come out and our waitress failed to mention that at the beginning of the dinner as well.

This is a super unique night out! We definitely enjoyed our dinner and all the creative dishes and cute decor. The service was super kind and attentive as well. The menu is generally ordered from small to large dishes - the riff on mac and cheese was one of our favourites, as well as the lava cake and mushroom ice cream for dessert. The only snag in the experience was that we were told when we ordered that our dishes would come out in the chef's decided order, so we assumed there'd be some thoughtfulness based on what dishes we chose - it turned out that this actually meant dishes came out as they were ready, cooked with others who may be seated before you. Basically, this meant that we started with the biggest / heaviest dish and ended with the salad, which was a bit disjointed. Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying this place! It's a unique date night and perfect for when you're with friends with food restrictions - I don't think I'd be a regular, but it's 100% worth trying out.

Wow this place was my dream restaurant. I am obsessed with mushrooms and have been dreaming of a mushroom based restaurant for a while now. This place did NOT disappoint. The decor is amazing inside I love that literally everything is mushroom inside, the staff were very friendly and had great recs and the food was probably my favorite meal of the year so far! We ordered 5 dishes + dessert for 4 of us and it was the perfect amount. Honestly it's hard to say which dish was the best because we loved them all but I would say the Yellow Enoki, Pioppino were top, and the King Royal Trumpet was also really good and the presentation of the dish was outstanding. Also the dessert is great and shouldn't be missed, definitely unique.

Though I usually dont consider a meal a meal unless it includes meat, I have always said that mushrooms would be my meat if I were to ever become vegetarian. I LOVE mushrooms so I just knew I had to come here for my birthday dinner :) The waiter was nice and explained the menu to us and even gave us some orange wine on the house for my birthday. The ambiance is dark with some cute mushroom decor. We enjoyed all the dishes we got but the crowd favorites were the beech, maitake, and the dessert! Do NOT miss out on the dessert (and this is coming from someone who doesnt really have a sweet tooth!!)

Be ready for a mushroom-filled adventure! Every menu item from drinks to dessert is related to mushrooms! As a mushroom lover, I knew I had to check it out! Dishes are meant to be shared and they recommend 2-3 dishes/person. For my party of 3, 7 dishes + dessert was plenty for us. They bring out the different mushrooms in the order of light to heavier dishes. My top 3 dishes were the pioppino, blue oyster, and beech. Something about the curry grits mixed with the crunchy pioppino stems made it very tasty to me! The blue oyster was their take on "steak" with super smokey mushroom pieces and a delightful peppercorn sauce. The beech is almost comparable to "mac and cheese" but it was much more aromatic! It was cheesy without being overly heavy. For all of these dishes, I loved how it was well seasoned but not overly salty. Other dishes that I enjoyed included the maitake. It was very juicy overall and well seasoned on the outside but I wished it was slightly more seasoned/ salted in the middle. The ramen featured fried enoki mushroom which were delicious and even better with their nutty sesame coconut broth! However it felt like the ramen was the spotlight rather than the mushroom in this dish. The mole sauce of the black pearl oyster dish was very tasty but felt like it distracted me from the mushroom enchilada. Lastly, the ravioli in the king royal trumpet dish was yummy with a green sauce (kinda between pesto and a green goddess dressing), but it felt the least "mushroom-y" out of all the courses. Desserts - do not sleep on the dessert!! When do you ever get to try mushroom ice cream? It was my first time having porcini ice cream. While it confused my brain a little, I actually enjoyed it very much! The mushroom taste is indeed prominent and felt like a frozen cream of mushroom to me. It paired well with the lava cake and candied shiitake mushrooms, which initially was just like any other candied dried fruit but then the mushroom flavor hits. The restaurant itself was very cute with its antique, wooden, and all mushroom-related decor. Pacing of the dishes were appropriate. Staff were polite and helpful in explaining things. It was a very interesting meal and I can't wait to share it with others!

The food at 3rd Kingdom is as good or better than many Michelin star restaurants! I can't wait to go back - this is a must do for anyone looking for a special night, a new dining experience, or just an amazing dinner! There was not one food we had (we had 5 dishes including desert) that wasn't perfection on a plate. The plates are meant to share and order 2-3 plates to share per person. Overthrow Hospitality has once again delivered the best food on the planet! This isn't just the best vegan food it is the BEST food!

Mushrooms lovers MUST try! Everything was very tasty... servers were very kind and knowledgeable. The decor is sooo cute- full of mushroom paintings. Would definitely recommend - even if you're not vegetarian. Had the beech, maitake, lions mane dumplings and dessert! All so good!

Holy shiitake!! I'm a HUGE mushroom lover and I've had Third Kingdom on my list for a bit and finally got to try them out tonight!! First of all the place is great! Love the tables and seats are comfy. The food was out of this world delicious! Definitely meant to be shared. Yellow Enoki Salad - loved the one balsamic vinaigrette and had a great balance of mushrooms. Lion's Mane Dumplings - came out nice and hot, plenty of filling and delicious sauce. Beech - literally felt like a mushroom Mac n Cheese with mushrooms replacing the Mac and was my FAVORITE thing ever! Seriously, I want to bathe in that cauliflower cheese. I want to order one to eat every day lol Maitake - Once you put all the components together you'll see why this dish was wonderful! Everything separate was fine. Ramen - Was just okay for me, but to fair the sesame coconut broth just isn't for me. I can definitely see why people would love it. The fried enoki were a little greasy but I still loved them. Blue Oyster - LOVE LOVE LOVED the sauce and how it was like a take on steak and potato. So tasty!! I had high hopes and was not disappointed with the food here! I cannot wait to go back and get the dessert this time. Fair warning, order it early as we were told it takes 20 mins to make!! Thanks Third Kingdom team! Keep up the great work!

I came for dinner with my husband to celebrate my birthday and I was immediately impressed by the service- there was a card on the table for me and the server was incredibly kind! The food was delicious- specially the maitake and black pearl oyster dishes were outstanding!

I went to Third Kingdom about a year ago, when they were a pop-up known as &Beer. Even though I only get to NYC once or twice a year, I was glad to see that they are now a permanent restaurant and have renamed themselves Third Kingdom. As was the case when we first went, Third Kingdom shares an address with a bar named Proletariat, but the two restaurants switched, so Third Kingdom is in the larger space. If you don't like mushrooms, this is not your place. If you do love mushrooms, well, you are in for a treat. Every dish at Third Kingdom is mushroom-focused, and there's even a canned functional beverage with mushrooms. Third Kingdom's dishes are meant to be shared, so my boyfriend and I started with the Lions Mane dumplings, served in a daikon sauce. They were delicious and crispy, a really nice start to the meal. We then had pioppino mushrooms, served with grits and watercress, followed by blue oyster, served with cippolini onions and celery root. I remember this dish fondly from when I ate at the pop-up. Finally, we had the "black oyster" dish, a slightly spicy mole enchilada. This is the trickiest dish to split, but we made it work. We skipped dessert because they serve the same lava cake we'd had at Avant Garden two nights before, but I do recommend getting it. Just order dessert with all your other dishes, as it takes time to bake.

This was a fantastic experience full of creative vegan food. The menu is centered around mushroom dishes. Literally every dish, even the dessert, has some form of mushrooms in it. We had the lion's mane (dumplings), beech mushroom (mac and cheese), hen of the woods (steak au poivre), baby trumpet (tamal with mole), and the dessert (lava cake with porcini ice cream and candied shiitake). All of the dishes were phenomenal with creative presentation, and unexpected flavors and textures. Everything dish was bursting with umami from the mushrooms! My favorite was the hen of the woods the mushroom "'steak" was grilled to perfection, the celery puree "mashed potatoes" were rich and comforting, and the pickled mushrooms were the perfect bright note to cut through the savoriness. It's a very small space, with 20 seats or less. There's a rotating beer selection in partnership with Proletariat next door.

Great concept and the dishes were executed well. While it was an innovative menu overall most dishes were the mushroom over a puree. This made the meal sort of flat with the dishes blending together. The dish with celery root puree had the best pop of flavor. Skip the salad.

& Beer is (currently) a mushroom-based restaurant that's right next door to a brewery (owned by the same people). This explains their name: right now they're mushrooms "& Beer", but that will change when the chef gets tired of it. The food was excellent: I got the ravioli, chicken in the woods and fudge cake, which were all excellent, packed full of flavor and beautifully plated. The vibe was great. The main seating area is one long bar, so it's best for small groups of two or three: it would be perfect for dates! I went on a slow night when the server on duty was unfortunately out sick, and one of the owners instead ran the restaurant: he was helpful and courteous and told me a lot about Overthrow Hospitality, which is the group of restaurant that & Beer belongs to. & Beer exists because the owners got a lot of extra, leftover real estate when they opened Proletariat, their brewery next door. They decided to make the most of it and turn it into a playground for their chefs: they get to choose a culinary theme and run with it until they get bored. I love this idea: it gives the team a lot of artistic license while keeping the restaurant fresh and exciting. I suspect a ramen-themed menu may be next, and you can be sure that I'll be back when it's comes!

Was really excited to try their mushroom based menu. Its a cute spot with bohemian Victorian fusion vibes. We tried the beech, ramen, blue oyster mushroom and chocolate cake from the menu. Would've appreciated a few more dessert options. The only dessert option they had was a chocolate souffle. Would love a vanilla lover option too:) Service was great, staff were cordial and friendly. My favorite was the ramen. Portions could've been bigger

Great food and excellent service. The expansion into the new space makes the restaurant much more spacious. The lion's mane, beech and baby trumpet were standouts. The food here is excellent if you wan to try different types of mushrooms.

Came here for my girlfriend's birthday dinner, and every plate was delicious, utilizing mushrooms in a unique and flavorful way. The restaurant is very intimate, with quirky mushroom-related decor that adds to the charm. Though it's a vegan restaurant, as a non-vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed the entire menu. Chef Pajarito has truly outdone himself with his creative and inventive dishes. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Catching up with my girlfriend at this cute vegan restaurant, and we do enjoy the relaxing vibe and all the cute decoration details here. The service is very friendly here and all the vegan dishes are very creative with mushroom ingredients. We also like the natural wine we picked. The only reason that I didn't give this restaurant five stars was because all the dishes we ordered were way too salty, so we were having a hard time swallowing them and ended up leaving hungry. ( I drank two full bottles of water after just a few bites) Hopefully, they will control their salt usage next time, so I can enjoy the food when return.

Another vegan favorite. The only all mushroom restaurant in NYC! The presentation was lovely and we really appreciated the respect and love for the mushrooms. It was a unique experience and they really made us feel special by placing a happy birthday card on the table. Service was a tad bit on the longer side that evening, to make up for it they gifted us the lions mane dumplings. The ambiance is cozy and great for a date night or if you want to impress.

This review is for Third Kingdom This is such a great spot, especially if you love mushrooms. I found this whole experience to be unique and it makes it totally worth it. We got 4 dishes plus dessert and we shared between 2 people. It was the perfect amount for us. Our favorite dish was the blue oyster dish. The marinade that was used was amazing and really enhanced the flavors of the mushroom. But honestly every dish we got there was really good. It's a perfect blend of textures and flavors. The dessert is definitely a must try. The ice cream had this earthy flavor and you could taste the mushroom but it works! The restaurant is also gorgeous. It feels intimate and has an air of cozy elegance. They have cute little mushroom candle holders at every table and the wall is full of mushroom pics. It's a great spot to take a date. They have a really nice selection of beers and wines. For orange wine lovers, they had 3 different kinds. And even had a chilled red on the menu. Service was great, they were attentive but didn't make us feel rushed. Our server gave us really good suggestions and was patient with all our questions. This is a great restaurant and I would highly recommend it.

McSorleys was packed next door, so figured to try this spot which feels hidden away as opposed to some of the other bars on the street. Dark interior and a good selection of beer as well as an interesting menu Had an eight ounce of one of their beers ($13) as well as splitting the Lava Cake ($19). Beer is expensive but not something you see a lot in the city, which I assume they share with the bar next door (Proletariat). The dessert has candied mushroom mixed in as well as.some interesting flavors. Pretty good overall and not overly sweet. Seems like this place may have closed down, but hope they have another iteration soon.

(This review is for Third Kingdom) An absolutely stellar meal tonight. I was thoroughly impressed with the use of and variety of mushrooms, although if I'm honest, the most delicious thing this evening wasn't a mushroom -- it was the mole sauce. There were a couple of dishes in which the mushrooms were overwhelmed by other flavors. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. The lions mane dumplings were okay -- but the dipping sauce, exquisite. The porcini ice cream was stunning -- surprising, and reminiscent of a mushroom gravy (which sounds terrible as I write it, I realize). But the lava cake and the blueberry really overpowered it. I enjoyed the beech mushroom version of "mac and cheese" a lot -- this was the one that, I think, worked the best as a "reimagining." The service started out strong, but the server was less and less attentive as the evening went on. (I judge by whether my water glass gets refilled.) The food runner from the kitchen felt like our de facto server and she did a great job explaining dishes and hyping us up for dessert. Loved all the mushroom decor.

When I'm in between options at a restaurant, I just go for the one with mushrooms. So, a spot like Third Kingdom opening is a dream come true to me. Food: So, so good. Interesting flavors, brilliant presentation. My friend and I aren't big on lava cake but were curious about the ice cream. Worth every bite. We ended up loving both cake and ice cream. Decor: Mushroom everything. 10/10 would buy everything in there for my apartment if I could. Service: Overthrow Hospitality service just never disappoints. Friendly, professional. P.S. Mushrooms are def the main character and often also secondary lead of each dish. But, the flavors are so interesting, I'd still recommend giving this place a try even if you're not obsessed with mushrooms like some (aka me).

This one is an easy 5 star for me. Easy to make reservation over phone, also can make on Resy. Homey, dim, magical vibe inside with mushrooms candle and arts. Their whole menu is dedicated to different types of mushroom and honestly I would have ordered everything if I could. My gf and I tried a total of 3 dish: beech, maitake, and black pearl oyster. My favorite was maitake but my friends favorite was beech. Honestly all very very good and recommend all. Mushrooms are fresh. Flavors and presentations are thought out. Michelin quality for sure. Dessert is said to take around 20 mins because of the lava cake. It's so worth, lava cake is fresh and warm with their homemade ice cream and dried mushroom. I would definitely come back! ‍

Took my friend there for their birthday. Try the wine flight where they provided 3 glasses that pair perfectly with the occasion and food! The vibe was cool, I'd recommend the bar seating - just gives a great experience since they're all pretty cool bartenders. Go with an empty stomach! The food is amazing and filling. We took so much home and it still lasted til the next day. All the dishes are fire, but the ones I remember are the Mac and cheese, gyoza, and the red mushroom top.

Came here for a friend's birthday because she requested vegetarian. All the dishes are mushroom based, and it was delicious. There were 4 of us, and we ordered about 8 dishes to share. My least favorite was the royal trumpet and the enchiladas, but the rest were so good!!! The decor is super cute and cozy. Our waiter was nice and gave his recommendations. I would come back again.

As a shroom lover, this place was incredible. I mean, an entire restaurant dedicated to celebrating fungi is WOW. My husband knows how much I love mushrooms and he surprised me with a dinner here for our wedding anniversary. I truly felt seen as this place makes the most incredible dishes from one of my all-time favorite ingredients. We had 5 dishes and were floored by them all. I also love how much variety of mushrooms they use so it's not just a bunch of creminis across dishes. From enokis, to maitakes, oysters, king, and even porcinis in the dessert, these mushrooms were a bounty of flavor across dishes of all cultures. I got to have some Mexican mole and then some ramen. It was like a culinary journey on top of a taking mushrooms on the best journey. I can honestly say I've never experienced anything like this where one ingredient gets such a memorable and star showing. The wine list was super complementary and loved that. Great service and make the evening so lovely! Cannot wait to visit again.

Ventured into &Beer on a lively Friday night. The interior is small, cozy, and dimly lit, but had an upscale, intimate feel. There was one staff member manning the entire restuarant and he was quite attentive. We tried: Beech (5/5): the mushrooms are crisped to perfection! The cauliflower cheese, nori butter, herbed breadcrumbs, and spiced ponzu combination in Beech was a flavor and texture explosion. Lion's Mane (4/5): The Lion's Mane dumpling were delicious especially when paired with the daikon sauce. The micro cilantro added a fresh element. A must-try for dumpling enthusiasts. Hen of the Woods (3.5/5): The celery root puree and pickled hon shimeji in Hen of the Woods were intriguing, but the dish as a whole lacked a bit in terms of flavor complexity. Grimm "No Hands Now" - Sour Wheat Ale (5/5): tart and flavorful, highly recommend if you like sour beers. Even though each dish had mushrooms, they were unique and incorporated all different kinds of mushrooms. &Beer is a great cozy spot for mushroom &/or beer enthusiasts. Would come back to try more!

What delightful surprise we stumbled upon this vegan restaurant specializing in mushrooms! I love mushrooms, so exciting to find this place! It was cozy and have lots of unique mushroom photos on the wall. Lights were dim and booth was comfortable. Service was excellent, between 2 people we were suggested to order 4 to 6 dishes or 4 dishes if we wanted to try the dessert. We will need to return to try everything on the menu. We should have ordered only one ramen, it was very rich so we took last blue oyster home and opted to order the dessert. My favorite dish during this visit is the MAITAKE.

This now our new favorite restaurant in NYC! Absolute delicious food. All dishes are supposed to be shared which is great so that you can try more. Extremely friendly staff. Very good rhythm in which the dishes are served. Last but not least: loved the atmosphere. Can't wait to be back!

Chef Juan Pajarito created such a flavorful, creative, and unique menu at Third Kingdom fully based on mushrooms. Every single dish is entirely it's own take on different mushrooms with different flavor profiles and beautiful plating! We loved the ambiance, it's moody and cozy, and the service was fantastic. They also have a fantastic natural wine list! I would definitely recommend this to anyone, vegan or not, as it's such a unique dining experience that left us full and wanting to come back. My pro tip: You MUST get the dessert!!!

A great place for mushroom lovers! We ordered every item except for the hen of the woods as the dish had refined sugar added that couldn't be set aside. The rest either the sugar added ingredients could be set aside or no refined sugar. Would highly recommend all the main course type dishes. All three were amazing hard to pick. The baby trumpet was in an amazing mole. Blue oyster had so much flavour and white silver dollar had a great mix with veggies. The appetizer type dishes were just average/ok less memorable, especially the tempura one can be skipped.

This was an amazing dinner. We were greeted by Drew Brady,COO and Partner. His welcome was warm, sincere and so informative. He guided us through the menu making suggestions and explaining the dishes. We ordered Yellow Enoki, Lions Mane, Beech, King Royal Trumpet and Blue Oyster. We were a party of 4 and we shared all dishes. I loved all of them! If I had to pick 3 favorites the Yellow Enoki (salad) and Lions Mane (dumplings) and King Royal Trumpet were mine! The dessert is OUT OF THIS WORLD in a class by itself -lava cake, rosemary and porcini ice cream, candied shiitake and chocolate crumble, a MUST HAVE!! Each dish was impressive, taste wise and visually. Loved everything about this experience- service was excellent! Definitely going back!!

Our favs, in order i think are -- Lobster, Beech, Hen of the Woods, Blue Oyster -- and the candied shitake lava cake with porcini ice cream was awesome for dessert.

food and service and ambiance all 5/5!!! The dishes are quite small, my friend and I got 4 dishes + dessert and both of us were decently satiated but probably could've gotten 2 more dishes. The dessert absolutely blew my mind, it's some of the most unique and tastiest ice cream i've ever had!! and the chocolate lava cake was to die for. All the food was amazing but I will be thinking about that dessert on the daily

It was GREAT I had trepidations about going to an all-vegan restaurant because I am far from vegan, but Third Kingdom delivered. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming. Service was fantastic. Our waiter recommended a Sicilian red wine, rustic and raw, that was just perfect for the strong umami flavor of the dishes we had ordered. I can strongly recommend the Lion's Mane, which is a dumpling, and the starch ratio is perfect, as well as the Black Pearl Oyster , because I am crazy for mole, and the Blue Oyster. We also shared the Ramen, fantastic, and a few other dishes that were all outstanding. And I could not believe the desert!...an all vegan lava cake that was so subtle and perfect You go Third Kingdom...you are on the path to the place that makes us happy and the food that we need and is healthy

Very creative concept for a restaurant! We had the tempura oyster, lions mane dumplings, the morel, and the dessert. The dumplings and dessert dishes were absolutely sublime--both in terms of tastes and textures! However, the tempura and morel dishes fell a little flat unfortunately in terms of flavor. The staff were very kind and helpful. Will have to return again to try the other dishes!

This place was awesome! For three people, we had the Lion's Mane dumplings, the white silver dollar gratin, the ravioli, and the baby trumpet. The standout for me was the baby trumpet, but all of the dishes we tried were fantastic. They also had an interesting beer list! We went on a Tuesday night and the small, cozy place was busy. Reservations necessary.

I'm not a vegan but I love mushrooms and I would definitely eat here again. Everything I ordered was delicious and the ambiance was so unique and beautiful.
