Three Uncles — owned by friends, Cheong Yew, Put Sing Tsang, and Mo Kwok — is one of the best-value new takeaway lunches in the area. A small number of tables and a few counter spots are in high demand for delicately balanced char siu, roast duck, and pork belly. "Liverpool Street is vaguely controlled bedlam at the best of times, so having a place like Three Uncles that’s slightly hidden, but very nearby, is definitely a good thing. This basic canteen specialises in Cantonese roast meats, roast duck, char siu pork, and Hainan chicken, but also serves low mein and dim sum as well. The roast meats are decent (the chicken is particularly nice) and it makes for a tasty lunch, or quick dinner option, all for around a tenner or less." - Jake Missing

Taking me back to my days living in Hong Kong this Cantonese eatery is fast food done right. The portions are ample and everything we tried was very scrumptious indeed. The menu is small but that’s a good thing. It means what they have is always fresh and tasty and it’s easy to make your choice. I can’t fault anything about Uncle Uncle Uncle and it was recommended to me by a friend from Hong Kong who lives in London. Highly recommended.

There is not doubt this is my stable spot for lunch whenever I’m craving a taste of home. The lady at the cashier is always the nicest with the great smile, warms me up during a hard day of work. The portion is generous, price is fair, service is quick, efficient and no fuss aaaand most importantly, IT IS YUMMY. I’ve lost count how many orders I’ve had from here and I can only say it’s going to be more and more. The experience is always so nice and everyone I’ve brought from work absolutely adore this place. Thank you Three Uncles for the continuous great food during our hard days at work. 多謝！

Loved going to three uncles the past year because it’s truly truly the best Chinese food can never fault it. Such a simple menu with beautiful flavours in their dishes, I can’t rave about it enough! So much so that I usually get a takeaway for the next day 😂 10/10 locations are always small though so keep in mind they are set up for quick eating for high turnover of customers

Good Hong Kong style restaurant that sells roast delights 👍🏻 both of us enjoyed our meals, noodles were of the right texture, pork belly was crispy with the right mix of fats, and the chicken rice was absolutely fragrant too, paired with tender chicken meat 🤤

Good food, small portion size but was not hot even if opted to eat in. Ideally I expected steaming hot Hainan chicken rice but it was barely warm. Could be much better if they improve on some minor things.

Friendly staff, quick service. Food was really good. Came later in the day and there were no noodles left. The rice was cooked well. Duck and roast pork was good. Wontons ok and could be spicier. Bottle milk tea was creamy and sweet and could have more tea taste. The decor is cute. There are tabletops and counter seating if you want to stay a bit.

There’s certainly a buzz about the place. And that can mean a lot. But for me, the food was just ok. The roast pork was undercooked. And the duck portion meagre and lacking flavour. The rice was fine and the sauces were nice. I found the price point a little steep. If it was more a generous portion, I could see it. But it isn’t generous. It’s a three out of 5 meal. Not bad. Not great. I do seem to be in a minority, because a load of people are jazzed about this place. So take my thoughts with a pinch of salt. It just didn’t rock my world.
