"You wouldn’t necessarily expect a Southeast Asian spot to serve pizzas, but PowWow Pizza does just that - with some pretty great results. The Angkor, with lemongrass beef, fried garlic, pickled carrots, and a creamy garlic sauce is excellent (and extremely addictive), and the Filipino with egg and longganisa is also good. But our favorite of them all is the roast duck - which has crispy-skinned duck with watercress and a plum spread instead of sauce. It’s also right next door to Ambitious Ales, a brewery where you can bring in food, so we highly recommend bringing your pizzas there and getting involved with some hefeweizens." - Brett Keating

"Since it opened in October 2020, this Bixby Knolls pizza joint has become a neighborhood favorite. Pepperoni pizzas are topped with hot honey, and vegans can delight in a choice of four different options. And don’t forget to order the garlic knots." - Judith Rontal

Google
Definitely a contender for best pizza in Long Beach! I had the The Winter White, Sweet and Spicy, Caesar salad and zucchini fries. Recommend it all with a side of their house made ranch.

Thunderbolt Pizza in Long Beach is an absolute gem! Their Culpo Di Fulmine pizza, topped with cupping pepperoni and finished with a drizzle of hot honey, is a flavor explosion that you won't forget. Each bite balances the spicy and sweet perfectly, making it an absolute treat. The arugula salad was a refreshing complement, light and crisp. To top it all off, I enjoyed a glass of their red house blend, which paired beautifully with the meal. Highly recommend this spot for a memorable dining experience!

Jay & the team have been making delicious pizza and apps! If you don’t know you need to. The Big Dill pizza is a new seasonal favorite (in photo) but Sicilian Kiss is our regular go to! Other favs are the bone in wings and garlic knots. Best wing sauce in Bixby hands down! This place has great vibes, staff, and food.

Visited for the first time on Saturday afternoon. The service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious and it came out fast. The variety of seasonings they offer for your pizza is fantastic. (No basic red pepper flakes here!) I definitely recommend this place. We ordered 1 Gluten Free Pizza, 1 Regular Pizza, Ceasar Salad, and mozzarella sticks. Everything was tasty.

Google
Pizzas are good but prices are steep. We had a plain cheese pizza ($12), 10” sweet & spicy $20, and a Butcher pizza (sausage and pepperoni) $28. Employees were friendly but service was slow. Two pizzas came out and we were half done before the third (plain cheese) came out. Crust on the sweet & spicy was burnt - I watched the staff. They were talking and it stayed in the oven too long. The flavor of the sweet and spicy was pretty good. I added some reaper pepper to it to kick it up a notch. Outdoor tables had space heaters but it was still pretty chilly. Indoor area is small but the extended patio has wind protection and heaters making it comfortable to dine. Even at 8:30pm there was a decent crowd.

If you happen to find yourself in the Bixby area of Long Beach around lunchtime, do yourself a favor and stop by the southwest corner of Carson and Atlantic to Thunderbolt Pizza. One of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. I had the Hellfire sub and loved it. They bake the bread to order and cram it full with so much flavor that you'll savor it to the last bite. Capicola, spicy soprasetta, pepperoni, arugula, ricotta, chopped cherry peppers, spicy mayo.

Google
Great pizza place with terrific lunch deals. I bought a slice and a salad for only $8. There are a few tables inside and there is also an outdoor patio. Parking in their lot can be a little difficult at peak times, but there is also plenty of street parking. Lots of choices for vegan and vegetarian friends on the menu. Be sure and get a side of their hot honey to try with your pizza.

Google
We came here for after Sunday football meal. There was a line but the meal was worth the wait. We took a walk across the street and then came back and sat at their bar. Beer and wine are the options but they have some great choices! Craft beer only!! We took the pizza to go, service was impeccable. Owner was there at the time and told about his concept! Hard work and passion are felt and tastes in their food and service! Go for it! Go visit them, order a pizza, and grab a local beer!

Yelp
Our family's favorite local pizzeria. They have a wide variety of vegan options as well as some pecialty house dishes that are great. Personal favorite is the Colpo Di Fulmine. Service is always great, pizzas are always hot, couldn't ask for more.

Evan C.

Yelp
The pizza here is nothing short of spectacular. The crust is perfect, with just the right amount of chewiness. A must have is the hot honey pepperoni pizza. Thunderbolt Pizza is a must-visit for any pizza lover. It's a bit on the pricier side, but the quality and taste make it worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Sandra L.

Yelp
Pizza super delicious and the ranch looked homemade and it tased so good too. We also order wings and they were great too Nice workers and found my new favorite pizzeria 100% recommend!!!!

Sharon D.

Yelp
Great sauce! Nice chew to the dough. All around great flavors. Definitely would go back for more.

Yelp
Went on Sunday evening for a bite to eat. First, the parking was HORRIBLE. The Thai put out folding chairs with a sign they made with their laptop stating that 3 of the spots were for their customers to pick up food. IGNORED! The parking lot is too small to save parking for potential customers. Walking in, it seemed a bit confusing. Do we seat ourselves? Are we sitting anywhere? Seemed like there wasn't anyone running the front. The waitstaff were running back and forth until we stopped someone to ask for help. There are a lot of good choices for pizza. We had 4 people and ordered 2 pizza that were 16 inches. We had 2 slices left over. You be the judge for your group but the pizza goes fast! The pizza crust was thinner but not crisp like some of the other pizza places. The dough had good flavor and was not chewy. I think this pizza appeals to most pizza lovers. You can purchase beer and wine here to make it a meal. The place is an average size but feels a bit cramped. There are tables and high tops in the area along the street. They make the best use of this tiny space. Not a bad place for a good slice of pizza. Outside of the parking, greeting customers and tight dining area, the pizza is very good.

Tony T.

Yelp
The food is 10/10, and I love that they service the brewery across the street. I never feel that heavy, bloated feeling after eating their dough. Some restaurants use flour with additives that can be bad for health/digestion, but not at Thunderbolt! My go-to is the Pepperoni Pizza with the spicy honey sauce--it's perfection! Customer service is generally good. Occasionally, there are a few hiccups, but nothing serious. Ambiance is in this little plaza with a few indoor tables and outdoor table al fresco. It's nestled in a corner with urban sprawl views. Sometimes they have a projector in the patio where they play movies.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of pizza, but I have been thinking about the "sweet & spicy" pizza since I ate it a few days ago. We rolled up around 830p on a Sunday night. Their parking lot is kinda small, but street parking isn't too bad. The front doors are wide open and there's a couple long tables for you to sit at outside. We pulled a laminated paper menu and kept going back and forth on what to order I knew for sure I wanted some of their bone in wings. Their wings have some texture and I like that they're not overly sour from vinegar. For sure you have to order it with their homemade ranch. The herbs are kinda chunky and it helps with adhering to the chicken wing. I seriously have to scrape every last drop out of the container. When it came to ordering a pizza, my girlfriend is vegetarian so I let her pick a pie. They do have vegan options which is super nice if you're out with vegan loved ones. It was hard for us to pick, until we saw the Sweet & Spicy. The ricotta in it caught our eye. The worker was very accommodating and said we could keep the pepperoni off of one side for my vegetarian. We got home and couldn't believe how good this pizza was. Originally I was just gonna have a slice or two since it was late, but I almost completely ate my half. My girlfriend ate all of her slices. But seriously, everything in this pizza worked. The meatiness of the pepperoni cups, the creaminess of the ricotta, the kick from the peppers, and the sweetness from the hot honey. I don't care for hot honey, but I really want this pizza again. Don't get me started on the crust; it was flavorful and had the right amount of char to give it that pizza oven taste. If you're at the brewery next door, you can order pizza through your phone and they'll bring it right to your table. I thought this was a really cool perk. What's even cooler is they have a big jar of dog treats of different sizes by their front door. Great food and dog lovers? A++ in my book. I can't wait to be back. This is for sure my favorite pizza spot.

E Y.

Yelp
Really good brick oven NY style pizza. Pepperoni chips and sausage toppings have great flavor. Fast service . I would recommend.

Chad K.

Yelp
Cool spot. Great patio area. The pizza was ok. We got the Veggie Supreme and there was just nothing super memorable about it. Maybe all the love is in the meat pizzas. We also got a large Caesar Salad and a fancy root beer. Both of those were great and the staff was nice. The sitting on the patio was also very pleasant. I was just not impressed with the pizza taste, ingredients, crust texture, cheese, etc. Everything in that area was mid. Again, only had the Veggie Supreme. 5 star atmosphere and service though.

Maggie H.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Thunderbolt Pizza's Colpo di Fulmine is the best pepperoni pizza I've ever tried. They do not skimp on the pepperoni, and what really seals the deal is the house hot honey that is drizzled generously on top. Great, now I'm dreaming about this pizza as I resentfully poke at the boring chicken salad I packed for lunch...

Juan M.

Yelp
Okay so I've been passing this spot now for YEARS and never realized what I've been missing! First off, the dough on this joint is SO GOOD. The flavors coming off this pepperoni bad boy were a pleasure with each bite! There's also plenty of parking on the street or around the back through the alley. Might get this pizza every time I want some HEAT cause wow. Shoutout to the kind staff too! Yall were great.

Arion R.

Yelp
Start to finish we enjoyed our time spent here. It's a quaint neighborhood cafe that's got salads, sandwiches, pizza and vino. We appreciate the smiles and warm greetings the most.

Maggie W.

Yelp
If you have a nut allergy you can eat here with no caution! Oh my goodness I WISH I could give this place more than five stars, they truly are such a wonderful establishment. My fiance and I went in on a weekday to try out some of the other pizzas we haven't had for a party we are hosting. Fun Fact: Their pesto contains no nuts! There is only one thing on the menu that contains nuts and it's a vegan pizza. Otherwise it is so insanely safe Our Favorites - We Be Jamming - Rustic Adventure

Casandra M.

Yelp
Ordered from their lunch menu, which is a great deal! Ordered online and it was easy, it updated you when your food was ready which is also nice. I had the 2 slices and Caesar salad combo for $10 added on their homemade ranch for $1. Pepperoni slices were good, salad was great and the ranch was pretty good. Felt like it was missing a bit more acidity in it but still good. My partner ordered the 10inch for $10 and loved it. It came with 3 toppings and was HOT and fresh. My 2nd visit I tried the 3 topping 10inch and got pepperoni, bacon and pineapple. It was good. Very convenient and great priced for what you get.

Fredi C.

Yelp
Amazing hospitality and the food is good. Bone-in wings are great size. They make their own ranch kinda tastes like blue cheese but still delicious. Outdoor patio is very chill and well covered.

Ernest S.

Yelp
Great staff!! The manager Christie was amazing and helpful. She made us feel welcome, we will differently becoming back!! The pizza is fire, the hot honey is a MUST!!! I only know a few spots that do have it, however they make their own in house, which is special!!! Pizza with pepperoni and hot honey sauce!! Delicious dessert!! Good job guys!! See you soon!!!

Angel P.

Yelp
Long Beach's best pizza man do they knock it out. Of the part something about the environment the staff the brick oven pizza and don't forget the zucchini fries TIP YO PEOPLES MAN! they work hard to take care of you here and apart from the pizza they keep me commkng back

Diana L.

Yelp
Thank you! Thank you! Service, food and environment 10/10! Let start with the pizza! Me and my gf stopped by to check this place out, she has a gluten allergy and has been holding off on having pizza for a year since we haven't been able to find one that she's loved but man, the pizza here was it for her! She got the Margherita pizza and I got the sweet and spicy on gluten free bread. Both amazing quality and taste. The dough was cooked perfectly, had flavor and wasn't dry like your usual gf pizzas. Chefs kiss! My favorite definitely the wings, with that dill ranch omg! Did our happy dance plenty. Also right on with the music! Beatles, QUEEN! Exceptional flavors! Thank you so much we will be back!

Teresa M.

Yelp
How have I not rated this Pizza place? I've been going to TB since they opened. Jay the owner is a great guy! The pizza is legit NY style pizza. The kind you fold to eat. My favorite is their Sweet and Spicy aka "The Wis Special". Their selection of beers are great to go with their pizza, sandwiches or apps. Their ranch is homemade and a must have! I love their lunch specials. So affordable. And if you dine in they always have great music playing. The staff are great too. After this review I'm headed there to get some pizza and a salad!

Francesca L.

Yelp
J and I were in Long Beach to see a friend in The Bloom Bloom Room comedy show and wanted to grab a slice after. We didn't see anything that looked great near Plantiitas so we made the 15 min drive up to Bixby Knolls since the reviews and photos looked appealing. It definitely was worth it! We walked in at about 9:45p and staff were all super welcoming. Being the end of the night we only saw one lone slice in the window so opted to go ahead and order a whole small pie. Decided on the We be Jamming - fig jam, bacon, and Gorgonzola. Plus we had to check out their zucchini sticks. I love that it's patio seating with plenty of heat lamps. The pizza crust was light with just the right chew and crisp. The Flatiron seasoning "Sweet Heat" on the table was a nice addition on the pizza. Zucchini sticks were very uniform and the breading stayed on well. But I still favor the Lucky Boy Pasadena sticks! Overall Thunderbolt was a great night cap, I'd definitely go again.

Michael R.

Yelp
Good pizza but the 2 tbsp of hot honey for $2 taste like straight honey. The pizza is thin and well cooked, Customized pizza cost can go way up to make yourself a supreme.

Ashley C.

Yelp
Love this spot ! Been coming here since many owners ago LOL . Definitely enjoy thunderbolt pizza ! Love dining in their outside area , always feels warm and they have a projector screen playing something. I had got the white pizza with Caesar salad . Both were good and fresh ! They also have a nice ranch and seasonings on the side that nice to pair the pizza with! Service was on point , everyone was nice , parking shared with joining businesses but may get packed when the brewery folks decide to park there

Ingrid M.

Yelp
We are on a Long Beach Pizza quest with some friends. We have tried 8 so far. Thunderbolt pizza has moved to #1 on the list ( Marlena is tops for a nice dinner vibe). The arugula salad was so fresh and there was plenty for 4. Next we tried the wings, they use a very different sauce and we all loved it( almost missed the picture opportunity). The Garlic knots flew off the tray. Then holy smokes the pizza, the sauce has just right amount tang, not too much cheese- just the right amount, oh and the toppings - delicious, good quality of meats & plenty of it. You order at the counter and they bring all your items to you. Everyone is friendly & helpful. Indoor/outdoor dinning: kiddo & Fido friendly. Plenty of parking. You can order from the brewery next door & hang there or enjoy Thunderbolts Ambiance. We are for sure going back and making a little afternoon of the three local breweries around the area, as well as grab more of this awesome pizza!

Cindy K.

Yelp
They have the best Italian sub!! When I was pregnant, it was all I craved but had to stay away from deli meats. The nurses who delivered my baby recommended thunderbolts specially for their sub and it did not disappoint! I've had it at least once a week since giving birth!!

Angie M.

Yelp
Amazing pizza. That's it. I was referred to this place by a pizza loving client and finally had the chance to make the drive out. We went with a classic white pizza and fries to start. Fries were perfectly crispy and freshly made. The pizza however... *chefs kiss* The crust was thin like how we like it, slightly chewy but not too much. I wish there was a smidge more salt but otherwise it was perfect! Fries and a larger pie were enough for leftovers. Service was great. Idk what everyone's complaining about. We sat in the covered outdoor patio. Every table had a little heater too!

Silvia G.

Yelp
Great pizza! They have this one called sweet & spicy and it is delicious. Wings are bomb. A must try! Great customer service & reasonable prices. Seating is limited inside but they do have outdoor seating.

Marlon J.

Yelp
Solid pizza although the crust was burnt and the bottom didn't have much undercarriage. The sauce was probably my favorite part but I thought it could use a little more cheese. When I got the pizza it also wasn't all that hot. Total was $28 and would give it a 7.6. Interested to see how the other pizzas are. Thanks

Alex B.

Yelp
Phenomenal phenomenal phenomenal This food is amazing great flavors better staff, and amazing ambiance. It's always reassuring when the owner comes and asks how everything was. Everything was amazing. Highly recommend

Yelp
Goood Pizza but gets super busyyyy! One time had to wait for an hour for my order when they had told me 45 minutes then 10, then 5 ( for pick up) .. but food was good, been here 3x and always busy but the rest were positive experiences!

Jacob C.

Yelp
Great service, quaint location, and easy to find on Atlantic & Carson. It's across the street from Panda Garden and Corked. Park in the neighborhood to save the parking lot headache. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and a West Coast IPA. Both were refreshing and delicious. I also appreciate that they carry Hatch New Mexico dry chile to put on the pizza.

Rene C.

Yelp
Pizza here was omg amazing I loved everything about it perfect size and tastes amazing. Definitely going back!

Sarah J.

Yelp
Amazing pizza that the next door brewery had delivered to us. The vegan pepperoni with hot honey and arugula salad didn't disappoint. Good size servings, service was quick. We enjoyed the picnic seating area where we could enjoy the space with our pup

Yelp
-- location -- pretty much in the Bixby knolls neighborhood of Long Beach. It's in a small plaza shared with a few other shops, notably a Thai restaurant. -- parking -- limited spots in a smallish parking lot. You may otherwise park on the street which I believe is metered. -- menu -- good variety of pizzas and other non pizza items. I was only focused on the pizza however. Each pizza has 2 sizes available. The smaller is $20 and the bigger is $26. You can only do half and half on the bigger size. I got the rays and white pizza, half half! Personally I like the rays more. It is the owners speciality apparently. The red sauce is sweeter and flavorful. The white sauce pizza was nice as well, but needed just a tad more sauciness for my liking. I super like the thin dough and yummy crust. I would like to go again because I want to try another that has meat. -- seating -- you can eat inside and get like a table number thing. Otherwise, you can order to go, which is what I did. They texted me when it was ready. It's not a huge place but a decent amount of seating for small to medium parties. -- overall -- even though the white pizza wasn't my jam 100% (that's a ''me" problem), I still think this place is 5/5 given its quality. Really enjoyable.

David M.

Yelp
The best pizza, salads, wings, and Italian sub around. The people are friendly the food is amazing. The place is super casual, patio is great and relaxing. My go to lunch spot. Have taken food home and my wife if super impressed. I recommend this place to anyone that has had pizza in New York you will think you are in Brooklyn. Love this place, Jay and his Team knock it out of the park every time.

Willy T.

Yelp
I ordered takeout from here. I ordered a 16" White Winter, which was $26 + tip. The cashier told me that it would take 15 minutes, but it actually took 13 minutes, which shows that they are timely. The interior decor of the restaurant was nice, but I decided to eat this at home ~20 minutes away. Honestly, it's alright. My sense of pizza economy is not that good because it's been heavily diluted by big chains, relatively cheaper options like Costco and Little Caesars, and personal pizzas such as MOD and Pieology. This was my first time ordering a large pizza since the pandemic. It doesn't feel like it's worth $26, but that's pretty standard for a small business pizza. The dough was really good. The toppings were good too but I would really want more per bite. I was craving a white sauce pizza and this does satisfy it. I like how this pizza doesn't feel heavy. I could eat half of it in one sitting without feeling abysmal. I had really high expectations for this place - I thought it would be head and shoulders better than any other pizza I've had. It's a good pizza, don't get me wrong, but it didn't really amaze me. Maybe I ordered the wrong pizza or had unrealistic expectations, but I don't get the hype. I'd say it's still worth a try to from your own opinion.

Jasmine W.

Yelp
The service was A+. The whole kickback ambiance was great. The pizza and friend cauliflower was fire. I'll be back!

Amy J.

Yelp
Here to say this place is consistent with customer service and great pizza! These are probably the best chicken nuggets I've ever had in my life and now I eat them almost every Friday . This is a smaller space and the staff is always fully engaged. You can opt to sit at Ambitious and order the QR codes on their tables and they bring your food right over to your table. If there's ever a backup, the owner, Jay, has always put his customers first. He's a hard worker and there's barely a day I don't see him there.

Candace G.

Yelp
Hands down. Best. Pizza. In. Long. Beach. My family and I frequent this establishment weekly. The dill ranch is to die for. Not once have we had a bad meal. And don't get me started on the chicken nuggies. Pretty sure they have the secret recipe from McDonald's. They are amazing! The staff is all super nice and friendly. Try Thunderbolt for your next lunch or dinner. You won't be sorry.

Alex P.

Yelp
The pizza here was really good, thin crust and lots of toppings and super filling. Hard to find pizza with that thin crust but so much flavour. The garlic knots were a bit too garlicky for my liking but still really tasty with soft breading. Super quick for pizza and waiters were nice. Great experience here. Coming back for sure when I'm back in this area.

Teresa A.

Yelp
This is my go to pizza spot when I'm in the area. This pizza place cares about what they're serving and everything is always hot and fresh. The service is wonderful and quick so don't be discouraged if you see a line out the door. The ambiance is simple and clean and gives you the option of sitting inside or outside on the patio. If you're in the area, you MUST try this spot, you will not be disappointed.

Brian T.

Yelp
I was introduced to Thunderbolt and Jay at a yelp event during the midst of the pandemic, and I've been recommending it to all my NY pizza lovers ever since! After meeting Jay, I had some insight as to why other NY-style pizza places don't do well here on the west coast, and I proffer that insight to my friends who want to try delicious pizza! There were very few flavours when I first tried Thunderbolt, and the menu has expanded significantly since then. Most recently, we've tried the pesto chicken, we be jammin', and devil's chicken. If you're looking for a sweeter option, the we be jammin' is a solid choice. The pesto chicken is savory and busting with sabor! We also loved the devil's chicken as the mildly spicier option, but it was a bit floppier/droopier than the other pizzas we tried (almost perfect!). Generally, I'm not a fan of pizza crust, but I consistently finished my crusts here. They're light, airy, and thin! The zucchini sticks are legit! They are tasty, crisp, and go well with the dipping sauce. The breading can be a bit much for some, but I enjoyed the texture and volume. If you're looking for hip and chill vibes with good background music and good food, then look no further! Each time I've been, there has been hip hop and rnb music to jam to. The customer service is excellent, as everyone smiles and checks on you frequently. Of note, the parking lot is very small, but there are both indoor and outdoor seating options. Lastly, come check out the different seasonings you can add to your pizzas!

Arie R.

Yelp
Went here last week for some single pizza slices. It was almost $11 for three pizza slices, which we thought was too high considering the slices were not very big. We expected a huge New York style portion but they were small. We brought the pizza home and had to reheat it so perhaps this is what led to the flavor and overall pizza only being so so. The pizza was kind of dry, cheese stale and the quality was not good. No ooey gooey cheese. I do believe it would be tasty though if someone gets a full pizza. I'm guessing the not great quality is because we got a slice instead of a whole pie but I don't know for sure since I've only been here once before.

Geronimo T.

Yelp
Went here on Sunday, Labor day weekend. Place was packed. The owner was polite but the young cashier/server needs alittle bit of good customer training. I said it and heard other people say it.. the word Thank You.. the correct response would be your welcome with a smile.. not just walk away. Sitting in my table over hearing the Multitude of Thank you this young lady has received. This place has delicious food and even have Charlie Chapman playing on their projector. Which is pretty cool. Be aware, when you go to peak hours, you will be waiting at least 20 to 30mins to get what you have ordered. Not to mention they share the same menu next door at Ambitions brewery. Good place, good food and Drinks. I recommend. Shout out to the manager/owner for seating me. First time there and he admitted he made a mistake about seating us prematurely. He followed up and gave me a table to sit. Appreciate the courtesy.

Gustavo B.

Yelp
This place is top notch. Came here for lunch on a Friday and it was not crowded at all. Got a table for a group of 5 outside with shade on a nice sunny day and fresh air. Ordered the Pint and 2 slices of pizza special. Perfect price and perfect amount of food. The pepperoni pizza was delicious and the pilsner beer went great. Thunderbolt has pepperoni pizza down right.

Yelp
$22.05 (12" Old Skool Brooklyn pizza) Thunderbolt Pizza monologue: I was crusin' by and saw lights, heat lamps and people looking like they were enjoying their evening. Looks like my kind of vibe! So, I did a u-turn, found some parking and trotted into the restaurant. I was greeted with some R&B music (which I found out is turned on in the evening hours), a friendly young lady at the register and a menu full of delightful options. I did not know it was a pizzeria until I got to the door. Slightly perturbed because I have really been having some major issues finding good pizza in Southern California. But, I decided to step out of my issue zone, picked up the menu, scanned all the very interesting options and ordered the 12" Old Skool Brooklyn. Let me tell ya'll...that first bite was better than a sunny, 85° degree day at the beach. I instantly started dancing at the table, each bite taken in rhythm to all my favorite tunes serenading me thru the speakers. Cristi (who I met while I was dancing and having my own sing along concert in my seat), Jay (Brooklyn native, who broke down the extensive art of pizza making that he adopted and told me where he orders this amazing pepperoni) and the staff, keep this place attractive: kitchen stocked with unique and spectacular ingredients; a pizza making style that goes unmatched; regularly cleaning tables for the next guest and such friendly service. Check out their menu, and let your appetite lead you to an unknown, but now known, level of pizza perfection. Yeah I'll be back. Hope to see you there! Oh, p.s. - at night, a projector is turned on and plays silent, black and white films, from the original era of this style of filming. What a treat!! Pizza, music and movies, while outside in this great Long Beach weather. I'm in love!!

Sinjin H.

Yelp
The hot honey was delectable!! The dough was the perfect thickness and the crust had the perfect texture. One of the best I've ever had. The pizza came quick and hot! They also had out different types of dried peppers for you to add to your pizzas with raging spice levels and tastes. They had ample seating and a great outdoor patio where it seems like everyone was sitting at. The workers were friendly as well :) Hopefully I will come back soon!

Yelp
The chopped salad and The Works pizza was delicious! We have been looking for a good pizza place and think we found one! And it's really close too!

Yelp
Thunderbolt was a delicious meal in a cute and casual restaurant for Father's Day. (my husband wanted pizza). Let's get to it: Food: Wings and Caesar salad were delish. The wings were a bit too spicy for my taste, but I still enjoyed them. Salad was fresh with great dressing. While it took a little longer than we would have liked to arrive at our table, the pizza was beyond worth the wait. We ordered the largest pizza with everything on it...perhaps it's called the works? Can't remember. I do remember it was delicious. Sauce was good, cheese was perfect, and overall flavor was great. Came fresh out the oven! Ambience: Most seating is on their patio which is cute and cozy with different kinds of music playing in the background. Relaxed, and very nice. Casual up scale vibe. Service: They really shined here. While you do place your order at the counter, waitresses do bring you food and refill the water. Staff was personable, checked in on us, and interacted with my baby, who was in his bassinet next to the table. Great energy here. I'd return often, but I live in LA. Price: Great. Not pricey for what you get and leave you full.
