"Every house cocktail at this speakeasy (under Patisserie Chanson) has some sort of gimmick or theme. For example, the Coconino Rain made with spiced rum and prickly pear is suspended from the ceiling like a house plant, and we genuinely can’t decide if that’s cool or the most ridiculous thing ever. The decor and limited food options (salmon crudo and beef sliders, e.g.) aren’t as interesting as the drinks. There are a few small tables with plush round seats and a long bar with some high chairs for two. We’ve dubbed those “loveseat bar stools.” " - Hillary Reinsberg, Neha Talreja, Bryan Kim, Kenny Yang

"Every house cocktail at this speakeasy (under Patisserie Chanson on 23rd) has some sort of gimmick or theme. One tastes like a refreshing alcoholic iced tea and arrives in a golden genie lamp with smoke coming out of it. Another—made with spiced rum and prickly pear—is suspended from the ceiling like a house plant. We genuinely can’t decide if that’s cool or the most ridiculous thing ever. The decor and limited food options (salmon crudo and beef sliders, e.g.) aren’t quite as interesting as the drinks. "Flatiron’s subterranean cocktail bar Thyme Bar is known for using ingredients rarely seen on drinks menus, like bael fruit and bird’s beak chile or orange shaved ice and used coffee grounds. The low-waste bar is now delivering five-ounce single serving cocktails, including some not previously available on the bar’s menu, like the Glimmer, made from gin, matcha, and lemon juice. Delivery is available between Wednesday and Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Happy hour runs from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., when food is 50 percent off. Order here." - Luke Fortney, Serena Dai

One of the best nights I have ever had in NYC. Bartenders Martin, Alex and Vibe are the most creative bartenders. We asked for customized drinks by giving them stories, flavors and the choice of alcohols. Turned out, the drinks were made to perfection. From the ingredients, to the flavor and to the presentation, everything amazed me. Definitely worth the experience. We were bar hopping and decided to end our night in the Thyme bar. The best decision! It’s also my first time giving out such big amount of tips. See you guys in 2 weeks!!

Beyond how cool this place is and how fascinating the drinks are the crew working this place are amazing. I got to chat with Cody a little bit while waiting for the rest of my party and he was so nice and funny! I can’t remember my waiters name but he was also amazing and so friendly and even joined in on some interesting conversations with us. I will definitely be back. They were super accommodating for one of our guests who does not drink which was really nice. Definitely visit if you’re ever in the area.

After dinner, we went to Thyme Bar for cocktails. Reservations are recommended but we were lucky to walk in and get a table for 4. All the drinks we ordered were very creative and delicious. The bar itself has a nice sexy speakeasy vibe. Hands down we agreed that Agrabah was the BEST.

AMAZING!!!! Vive and Alexander are the best bartenders!! The drinks are all amazing with great presentation, perfectly balanced cocktails done with ARTISTRY, and just overall a 100. One of the best bars I’ve been to in my life. Would totally come back!!

I was lucky enough to walk in without reservations on Tuesday night. Last time I tried my luck on a Thursday evening and was told that the wait is over 2 hrs. Service is friendly and warm, which is rare in a NYC speakeasy to be honest. The manager was knowledgeable and introduced their famous cocktail to me. I ordered 🌟Agrabah: really not to my taste. Heavy hint of mint and I hardly taste pistachio. 🌟🌟🌟Corpse reviver: in my opinion, this is a citrusy gin with a hint of chamomile and the absinthe made it stronger. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Noir: my favorite. If you don't like scotch, please skip this one. Their drink presentation is nice and beautiful. Bartenders look very experienced! I'll revisit if they invent new cocktails!

Intimate speakeasy hidden underneath a coffee shop. We almost missed it looking at the storefronts but found our way by following their carpet. The drinks were quite elaborate in terms of presentation. I had the Agrabah and thought it was good.
