Giant thick pancakes x3 and eggs cooked exactly how you like them. This was our perfect breakfast destination. Super polite and gracious staff who obliged me with a take-away container (it was more than you’d get for $AUD16 anywhere in Sydney). Coffee wasn’t too bad when you ask for Americano either.

First impression is everything. it’s a located in a nice convenient spot. The place is nice and clean and a great atmosphere. The waitress seems a bit cold but the food is hot and looks delicious.

This is my favourite breakfast spot in Manhattan. They make a delicious steak and eggs, and the servers are always super friendly, quick and helpful. Worth a visit if you are nearby!

Yes, it's safe to visit this place. I didn't get what I ordered, but you'll get something that won't poison you. If you're going for a good meal, don't. If you're going for a classic diner experience, yes, you'll get it. Hopefully, that will be enough for your knowledge base to realise that you can spend less and get actual food.

I was extremely pleased by everything about this diner. We were greeted by friendly staff (at least 6 different employees) and I couldn’t believe how nice they were. The fruit bowl, Oreo pancakes, PASTRAMI BURGER 🤤 and everything on their breakfast menu so far.. are incredible. One thing I need to stress about this place as well, is that the food arrived to our hotel room literally within 10-15 minutes 🤩 oh; and the food was very hot! So many other restaurants deliveries end up being lukewarm 😑 Tip the staff because they don’t get any better than this. I forgot to mention the cheesecake ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Food was dry dry dry- hash browns cold and clearly old without seasoning, French toast so dry I couldn’t eat it- dumped all the syrup and still wasn’t enough to get it down. Also … why are the eggs on top? Odd and makes no sense …. Bacon was gross — would not recommend… maybe it was an off night - service was great and restaurant was clean

Came here for lunch. Service was fast and polite. The food was pretty bland. No seasonings whatsoever. Probably great drunk late night food. Wouldn’t return.

Fabulous & Famous diner in the tri state area - across from MSG & Penn Station - Right next door to the luxurious New Yorker Hotel...6 Train Subway outside. Open 24 Hours - which is 'accommodation' at its best. Excellent service and delicious food.

Great diner for a quick stop! Service was fine and food came out quick. Pancakes were fluffy and chorizo hash was on point!

The service we received from the waitress was a little disappointing. She was quite rude when we asked her to adjust our table slightly, and even shouted at us. Additionally, she didn't greet us or ask if we needed anything else after taking our order. Despite this, the food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere of the place was charmingly retro and clean.

530pm Sunday after a day of ferrying some out-of-town friends of ours (family of 4) all over NYC and we hit the Tick Tock Diner just before getting a train home to New Jersey (home of the diner, so we had expectations). We were all pretty beat and past caring, till SERGIO made our day by being an excellent example of a forward thinking, customer service oriented LEGEND of a server. He preempted the kids needs and relieved our tired parent brains. Even split a milkshake into 3 glasses for em (no way did we want the 3 kids hocked up on sugar before a decent train ride home on a crowded train). And looked after us really well. My Fish n Chips was STELLAR. Everyone else was happy with their NJ Diner-sized meals too. Great job Sergio and Tick Tock.

Tick Tock diner is conveniently located near the Moynihan Station & across from Madison Square Garden. I visited on a Sunday at 11am with 8 people and there was no wait. Food cane out quickly! The ambiance is very retro with colorful tables & ceilings. However the food was well below average. Not much flavor or sauce. My friends and I ordered the quinoa bowl, pasta, & waffles. The waiters were very kind though!

Food tasted spoiled I ordered risotto with salmon Was afraid to eat it from the way the salmon smelled Also ordered a mohito the orange juice taste stale Was not pleased with the customer service but the bar tender was very cool and understanding.

Tick Tock Diner is open 24 hours and quite convenient location in midtown especially in the heart close to Moynihan Train Hall. Retro décor with wall full of "time" themed phrases with watches or clocks the represent the word "time". One can't help but read the walls. Catch phrases like: In the nick of time... 3rd times a charm...there's a place and time for everything...It's about time... Ceiling colored lines reminds me of a rubix cube older style themed restaurants. Overall service and food is good. A lot of tourists do come here. Food comes out quick.. I've come quite often now - staple is ordering the avocado toast and side of hashbrowns or the California chicken wrap and side of onion rings to share of course. Menu has gotten smaller than previous year but still a good variety of food to select from. They have a bar and plenty of dessert options. Restrooms downstairs - shared with the hotel next door. And yes, the entrance doors are heavyyy especially with the wind!

A gloriously average diner. I like the convenience of being near Penn Station; it's a good meeting spot for a quick meal. My friend got the French toast, a diner classic. I got the B.E.L.T. which was decent - thicker cut bacon than usual but also quite fatty. It also didn't come with the aioli as indicated on the menu. I'll probably be here again, mostly out of convenience than anything else.

The food was decent and the service was decent too. Not bad but it was great either. It's attached to the New Yorker hotel but there's also a seperate entrance as well. Typical diner with counter seating, tables and booths. It's was pretty busy while I was there but not every table was full. The menu wasn't a full on diner me, meaning it didn't have a lot , but it did have breakfast, burgers, lunch and dinner. I was little disappointed they didn't have home fries as an option. There aren't too many diner options around this area but I would come back in a pinch

Such a cool spot. Every door here is different and you'll be glad to spend some time here, it's a nice spot on the corner and the food is prepared really well. Nice wait staff as well, thank you

We stopped by tick tock diner after seeing a movie. Service was good and attentive. The long island iced tea was strong, and the food was tasty and fulfilling.

The service was good. We were seated quickly. The atmosphere is kind of different, lots of time-themed stuff all over. The food was average. The cheesesteak I ordered tasted off. Other people in the party said their food was good- but not great. For the price, there are better options in the area.

I had the scrambled eggs and French toast. The French toast was very bland almost like it was barely dipped in egg batter and had no added seasoning. I did try the pancakes which had good flavor. Overall a convenient place for breakfast as it was attached to the hotel.

The absolute best cookies and cream milkshake I've ever had, went back 3 days in a row just for that. The breakfast I ordered was tasty as well.

My party of 6 came on a Sunday around 11:30 and it was busy, but we were seated right away. We all enjoyed our meals- I got the super Greek wrap. The lamb was a bit salty but the fries it came with were great. My friend said the shrimp in her dish were very salty also. Our waiter was awesome. He was old school and was attentive to our needs. Nice spot for a quick sit down meal.

The food is soooooo good! I had the turkey club (no tomato, no mayo) and it was delicious! The bacon was crispy and the fries were yummy! I also had the chicken tender basket which was also really good! The banana split waffle was to die for and the Reese's pancakes were really good (but rich). The employees are friendly and it is a cute atmosphere :)

After a night out drinking, we came by this 24/7 diner for a late night bite at 3am. They've got a decent menu with everything from all day breakfast to burgers. I love me some Chicken and Waffles ($16.95), so I had to order this. The chicken was smaller than my waffle, so not very proportioned. Overall, the food is okay --what you expect from a typical diner.

Tick Tock Diner located on 34th Street is one of my favorite diners in this area. I have been coming here since year 2000; hence my college days. I always order the same thing I kid you not. I'm a sucker for their chicken cutlet sandwich served with lettuce, jalapeños, mayonnaise and pickles. Yum! I usually order it with a side of jumbo onion rings. This diner is pretty huge and it's the spot to eat in the area. I'm surprised how busy it is no matter what day you stop by. It's a bit pricey, but it won't burn a hole in your pocket. Enjoy!

Very open spaced with a lot of booths in at least two rooms from what I could see. Very clean. I was extremely pleased by everything about this diner. What a terrible experience my best friend and I had here. This landmark and centrally located diner has truly gone downhill. Although it's a standard 24/7 diner with retro looks, basic fare and just steps proximity to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, I feel the quality has decreased dramatically due to laziness and poor management. This diner benefits from the fact that it sits on the corner of W. 34th & 8th Ave, smack dab in the heart of Midtown West, an area filled with locals and tourists alike. They know that lots of people in the area, at any time of the day, will consider Tick Tock Diner a viable option due to it being open 24/7, it's super convenient location and also their fully loaded menu. We just wanted a good burger with fries to cap off our great evening after seeing an amazing play. They screwed up big time! Eliza wasn't a good server either. She was inattentive and was seemingly too tired to communicate effectively. I ordered "The Juicy Lucy" burger (double burger stuffed with melted cheese and served with their famous "disco fries" on the side - smothered in brown gravy and melted mozzarella). Annoyingly, I was charged extra for lettuce and tomatoes, and I even had to ask for mayonnaise since it was automatically brought out nor was some already sitting on the table. My friend ordered a blue cheese burger deluxe and added bacon. Of course they forgot the bacon. My friend reminded our server of this and two minutes later a side of half cooked bacon came out. Not to mention, the presentation of our food was very underwhelming. The cheese on my double patty burger wasn't melted and neither was the mozzarella cheese on my disco fries. When I mentioned it to our server Eliza, she just stated "these are disco fries." I was highly annoyed. Our food was lukewarm by the way. My friend and I agreed that if it wasn't so late and weren't so hungry we would have gotten up and walked out. I will never go back here again and I recommend others to follow suit. Skylight Diner is just a block away on 9th Avenue and they are much better. They are open late but unfortunately they are not 24/7.

I came here regularly back in the days with my ex and we were always seated in a private booth with cushioned chairs and steeled tables. The diner still looks the same with the steeled tables and cushioned chairs. The good thing about this place is that it opens 24/7!!!! I usually catch a movie and then end up coming here afterwards. My regular is a Canadian bacon burger and waffle fries but usually regular fries since it costs extra to substitute. The bacon tastes so good and it's not as fatty as regular bacon! It's a must to come here if you're stranded around Herald Square and need some good filling food! Highly recommend. Staff is nice and fast at refilling your cup of water!

Sometimes things turn out a lot better than you think. Between the poor Yelp reviews and the fact that this was the only casual place we were able to get a reservation for a party of 9 on a week night, I was not expecting much at all. What we did get was great service and a very decent representation of diner food in a clean and bright location extremely convenient to Penn Station.

Stopped in around midnight to grab a late bite. Sat down immediately. Water was brought over as soon as we sat down. Our server was really good and patient. I ordered the hamburger with fries and a Coke. The burger was cooked medium well like I wanted the lettuce and onion were fresh. The pickle on the side was crisp. The fires were not greasy and crisp. Not bad for late and fast.

Did I stop here solely because we were on the subway, and my kid needed to pee immediately? Did we order chicken fingers and fries, because that's always good to feed a kid (and an adult)? Was it actually good? Did it cost $20, which is pretty much highway robbery for a diner? Were the servers super sweet, probably because my daughter is incredibly adorable (and not because I'm incredibly adorable)? Is climate change real? Did my kid love watching people walk by out the big windows? Would I do it again, the next time my kid has to pee and it's right here? The answer to all these questions is "Yes."

I've actually been to Tick Tock a coupe times and always have the same breakfast experience . The venue is the epitome of the "Diner" including decor, service and the menu . Service is the generic New York diner experience and the food is no frills or fancy . I ordered an omelet with toast and coffee . All were good , quick and efficient . It is what it is and I will continue to visit this foundational feature of The city

Great location being right next to MSG and the inside does give that diner feel BUT the service and food bring it to 2 stars. Been there 3 times and the service is very slow, I've had to summon our server over several times. For the food, the price doesn't make it worth it. And my friends have ordered Caesar salad but didn't get any cheese, as well my friends Reuben was ice cold and she wanted it warm to which they "heated up" but it was then at room temp.

There was a line to get in but it went fast. Service was just ok. Friendly-ish. Not overly attentive but we eventually had everything we needed. Food itself was hit and miss. The avocado toast was decent but really lacking in seasoning. It was just lackluster and seemed like it was missing something. Plating was nice though. Nutella cookie crepes were really delicious, but very sweet and rich, so it would be tough to eat just those as your meal, I would recommend them as a shared item for the table. Not a bad breakfast option, but there are probably better places out there.

Average diner near Penn station- used to come here a lot for a work breakfast. Not sure why all the hate? Menu has been updated through the years and the food is consistent. Not the most amazing but solid. I've ordered avocado toast, made my own omelette and colleagues have also ordered waffles/Benedict and Monte cristo with berries. Service is fine as well, again not the best but fine.

I ate here 3 times because it was connected to the hotel I was staying at. The 1st + 3rd time I didn't care for the waitress & waiter. Their hospitality needs works The 2nd time I took it to go. I ordered a Ruben sandwich. The bread was starting to get soggy on the bottom (they should have separated it from the french fries.) The reason why I kept going back was because the food was made fresh and when I got the food it was hot. I saw one person mentioned it was expensive, well the prices are on the menu & of all the places I went to in New York (NY isn't a cheap place to visit) this is average plus if the food is fresh & hot that is what is important to me. The diner is on the corner so the scenery is pleasant including how it was decorated like a 50s diner in the movie Back to the Future. I really wanted to give this diner a 5 star but aside from the food something could have been better. If I am ever in the big apple again I would go back but know I should eat my Rueben sandwich there !

This 24 hour diner is a great spot for those looking for a quick bite in downtown New York. My husband and I arrived there around 1 o'clock in the morning after a show and were immediately created by the owner. Our food arrived quickly and the quality seemed pretty good.

I wish I went on Yelp before coming here. Needed to catch a quick meal while waiting for friends in the city so I stopped here. And disappointed is an understatement! The service was quick and the staff was attentive. But the food, I was better off getting a pretzel off the street vendor. I ordered bang bang shrimp and mac & cheese balls. The shrimp are a good size but lazily coated. And the shrimp is grilled (usually served fried) and coated in the sauce. The Mac balls taste like fried Krafts Mac and cheese from childhood. It's too expensive for the food to not match the price. But the Long Island was decent

I'm sorry, but this place was gross and the service was absolutely terrible, rushed and rude. The chicken sandwiches had dry, super old chicken. The milkshakes were water. The chorizo in the tiny breakfast burrito was not chorizo and terrible. Do not go here. I'm so disappointed in this $100 lunch that we barely touched.

Had to make sure I ate before the trip back home and decided to go here because it's literally connected to the hotel. I should've went somewhere else. I decided to get the red velvet pancakes ( I knew I should've stuck with French Toast, smh). It came out looking like Maroon or Burgundy Velvet pancakes. I've had good Red Velvet pancakes and this was not it.

I will never say a bad word about Tick Tock. Like many others, this is a go-to for me when in NYC. No matter that it's in the heart of touristy attractions. It's a long-standing business that continues to put out yummy diner food. I've never had poor service or bad food.

I chose this restaurant for its proximity to the Flix Bus station. I was in a rush and wanted a quick hearty breakfast. I was immediately seated in a booth at noon on a Saturday. The decor is classic diner. There were lots of open booths. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet, hash browns, white toast, and coffee. My food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. Omelet was great. Hash browns were too soggy. Coffee was light roast which I prefer to dark roast. My entire bill was $19. I feel like this meal was a great value and very convenient to the train and bus stations.

Yum! What a pretty ambiance and very nice service. My egg white veggie omelet with well done homefries was perfect! And my warm pumpkin pie with whipped cream and a raspberry drizzle was a huge portion and so good!

Always a definite stop when we come to town. We found this place some years ago. And every time we come it gets better and better. The food is delicious and cheap. You get enough food for your buck. The service was awesome, it wasn't crowded when we arrived. Glad for that. The ambiance is set like a diner. Very cute abs chic. If you are ever in The NY Times Square area stop in for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Convenient since it's in our hotel. I got the shrimp Cesar salad. They went heavy on the Parmesan and too light on the dressing. Slightly over priced but they are really nice there. The Mac and cheese bites were so good.

Had a later evening omelette and some sides, it was pretty good overall for diner food. My main callout and poorer rating is because the downstairs mensroom had No soap available! The outer hall liquid sanitizer dispenser was also empty. I last visited the restaurant the end of Dec and had the same experience - zero soap in the mensroom. Soooooo are the staff washing their hands with soap somewhere???

A friend wanted to try this spot, and ultimately it was just ok. My friend got the Chicken and the Egg, which was not bad (albeit a bit greasy). I got the Burger Deluxe, which unfortunately was dry and kind of bland. Still service moved fairly quick, even with how busy it was. All in all, it is serviceable if you're really craving a classic diner experience.

the breakfast burrito was absolutely atrocious and when i asked to get it switched out because of how inedible it was the server got mad and said i should have read the menu. yea sir i did read it but it tasted like shit, and that was not in the description, thank you. very mid experience overall.

I did not like it at the. The server was talking to the same customer for 20 mins. Finally took our order with took about 25 mins and when we got the food it was cold without any flavor. I could not eat. Yes he did not charge me but it was not worth it. Next time I will just get a dirty water dog.

Prices are really high for the area and service quality is extremely spotty, but overall the food here has always been fine, so I'm gonna give it three stars instead of two. if it's late at night, and you want a sit down diner in this area, the spot will do the trick, but it's definitely not one of my favorite diners in the city.

Am surprised by some of the ratings. Yes it is extremely convenient to Penn station , like across the street! But I also think that it is very cute inside, service was Excellent, and the menu and food were great! We were a group of 14 and our server was friendly efficient and helpful! Table was set for 14 upon entry. I'm sorry I don't have pictures as I didn't have my camera , but the food was presented well, and very tasty. I had a carmelized onion with smoked salmon frittata, made in a skillet and it was exceptional, probably the fluffiest frittata I have ever had. Others had wraps, burgers, salads etc and all were good. Servers filled out water glasses regularly. They serve eggs/ breakfast all day! Only issue for some is that the restrooms are in the basement and so one would need to utilize stairs , which can be difficult for handicapped . When in the area, I would def return, for the food, selection, service and location.

Tick Tock Diner is a Vibe. Walking into the retro decorations transports you to a different era and makes you feel like in a movie. There are a lot of seats so we did not have any issues getting a table for 4 fast. Our server took our order efficiently and the food came out hot and fast with large portions to satisfy everyone. We tried the huevos rancheros, which were more like nachos and in a different circumstance would have bothered me but they were actually good and I enjoyed them We also shared the gluten free pancakes with blueberry ricotta topping and they had a great taste and consistency that did not even feel gluten free. It was a fun place to have a big portioned breakfast in a super convenient location.

Absolutely horrendous please take his place down and has no business being an establishment in the state of New Jersey. This place was absolutely horrible. The food was lackluster. Low mimosa was lackluster. Everything was lackluster the ambience was lackluster. I would never go back to this place again they need to shut it down and build apartments.

A cute diner adjunct to the New Yorker hotel. Like they are both connected. They have your breakfast staples. However, I was on mission to find the best Monte Cristo. Service is busy however they have a great employees that will get you and out. The diner is cute and chic. I decided to take it back to my hotel. However, I wished I just sat in at the restaurant. My sandwich was ok, it would have been a lot better if I ate it at the restaurant. Eggs cool down fast, and I'm sure if I ate at the restaurant, I would've enjoyed it more. A little pricey, but that's NYC for you. I'll def return.

Well really simple is they are open 24 hours, they have a good selection, they are fast, the food is cooked well. It's just a little on the bland side. Not horrible just a little bland
