I visited Tijuanazo for the first time this past Wednesday, 11/20/2024 at around 8:00 PM for a late dinner.
My husband and I got the following (prices as of 11/2024):
+ 4 Adobada Tacos - $15 ($3.75 each)
- We ordered this with everything but one taco was missing the pina lol. The flavors were rich and the sauce + pineapple balanced everything. I'm not sure if you can get some extra pineapple on the side, but I'd prob do that next time. I love this style of tacos since they are reminiscent of tacos el Gordo...but with a different flavor. However, I still prefer tacos el gordo, but these will still hit the spot if I'm craving that.
+ Cabeza Torta - $10 Th
This was good, but I felt like it was a little bland compared to the adobada tacos. The cabeza meat was tender but the torta was not that big and prepared a little different than I'm used to. The bread is thinner (less carby), and I couldn't taste much, if any, mayo. My husband liked this, but I'd pass on this next time.
+Adobada Quesadilla - $5.50
This comes open-faced - not expecting that. Pretty heavy, but still tasty.
+Asada Vampiro $4.25
This was good, not too memorable but good. I liked the guac on top.
+Horchata $3.75 (+ $.50 refills)
- Horchata was so tasty - it's been a minute since I've had one. We ended up getting 2 refills of jamaica and that was smackin' too. So refreshing, just wish the cup was bit bigger.
Customer Service:
Shout out to Rodrigo, who helped my husband out with our orders. He was friendly and patient.
Seating:
Indoor Seating is available. There are not too many tables, but we got a seat with no problem.
Parking:
Limited parking in the back + street parking was available. We parked in the lot across the street.
Overall, it was still a great experience. My review leans more of a 4.5 vs 4. Just note that the food leans more on the pricier side but they were still tasty.
