Portable and Affordable, Pakistani Food Cart Karachi Kabab Boiz Is Right for the Moment - Eater NY

Where To Get Indian Delivery & Takeout In NYC - New York - The Infatuation

"If you’re looking for Indian delivery in Astoria, Kew Gardens, Williamsburg, or Park Slope, know that Tikka Indian Grill has locations in all of those neighborhoods. Our favorite dishes at this spot, like the lamb vindaloo and the very spicy black pepper chicken, come in pools of sauces that you’ll want to sop up with extra naan. All of the locations are running a 15% off delivery special if you use the code TIKKAG15 (loyal Tikka followers, know that it’s only good for your first order)." - Hannah Albertine

Tikka Indian Grill Review - Williamsburg - New York - The Infatuation

"Eating a meal at Tikka without having a second order of naan is like taking classes pass-fail. You technically complete it, but you don’t get the full experience. Our favorite dishes at this casual one-room Indian spot in Williamsburg, like the lamb vindaloo and the very spicy black pepper chicken, come in pools of sauces that you’ll want to sop up with extra bread. We’re fans of this bright space with floor-to-ceiling windows for lunch, when you get samosas, naan, and an entree for $10. It’s also one of the few BYO spots in the neighborhood. Come here before a night out or a movie at Williamsburg Cinemas a few doors down." - Matt Tervooren

Google
Chole and poori were delicious. Ample amount of food, 1 order of a dish can be shared between 2–3 people. Food was not spicy at all, so if you prefer this , request so. Music was not loud, so can still have conversation. They have other locations too.

I had the pleasure of dining at Tikka Indian Grill, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! I took my friend there who was trying Indian food for the first time, and she loved everything we ordered. The food was nothing short of amazing every dish was bursting with flavor and authentically prepared. You can tell the chefs put great care into crafting each plate. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel welcomed the moment we walked in. They were happy to answer questions about the menu and even offered some great recommendations. Their friendliness added to the overall wonderful ambiance of the restaurant. The atmosphere was inviting, and the aromas from the kitchen set the tone for an unforgettable meal. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this is a place you’ll want to revisit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and excellent service. Can't wait to return!

Google
This is not only the best Indian restaurant in the area, but they have the best customer service. The manager is amazing and went above and beyond with an order mix up that I caused. 5 stars plus. Solid food and people.

Google
The smallest of their locations that I've visited but the foods great. A lot of flavor in there, my girlfriend loves their impossible meat dishes. We've had a lot of their dishes and the korma curry is her favorite. I ordered the impossible jalfrezi which was great but spicy, even for me and I have a high tolerance. The place is small though so I'd recommend checking out one of their other locations if you're looking for a bigger party

Google
SUCH a great meal at Tikka Indian Grill. My family both had chicken Tikka Masala. I had the vegetable samosa and the Jhinga Balchao. The food was delicious. The service was fast and the staff is very friendly. The interior of the restaurant is clean and attractive. Honestly, it smelled SO good when we walked in and the water we had was good; we knew it was going to be a great meal, and we were not wrong. Highly recommended!

I’ll definitely visit again. Nice and cozy decor. The food was well made and delicious. It’s a must go to Indian restaurant. I had a shrimp dish and my company had a chicken dish and we loved it. We had the garlic naan and it was yummy 😋. Thanks for a lovely Sunday evening. Williamsburg location.

Google
I recently treated myself to a culinary experience at Tikka Indian Grill, indulging in their Vegetable Biryani and Samosa Chaat offerings. The Vegetable Biryani, while enjoyable in flavor and texture, left me contemplating the potential enhancement of the dish with the addition of a complementary sauce. Although the biryani stood out for its aromatic spices and well-cooked vegetables, the inclusion of a sauce or condiment could have elevated the overall dining experience, providing a harmonious balance of flavors. In contrast, the Samosa Chaat proved to be a standout highlight of the meal, boasting a delectable fusion of flavors and textures. The dish, akin to a casserole, showcased the familiar vegetable samosa broken down into a tantalizing medley of ingredients, creating a symphony of savory delights. From the crispy exterior of the samosa to the savory layers within, each bite offered a burst of culinary delight that lingered long after the meal concluded. Overall, my dining experience at Tikka Indian Grill left a favorable impression, with both the Vegetable Biryani and Samosa Chaat offering unique and memorable flavors. While there may have been room for improvement in certain aspects, such as the biryani's accompaniments, the overall quality of the dishes and the inviting ambiance of the establishment have solidified my intent to return for future culinary adventures.

Google
Incredible food & service!! They serve impossible meat which is awesome to all the plant based friends out there!! I would definitely come back :D

Yelp
The food and service were great! Surprised it wasn't busier. we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This is like number 17 on my quest to find the best Indian restaurants in NYC I ordered takeout so I wont be able to soeak on the environment or atmosphere of the restaurant Food: 4/5 really its more of a 3.9 but I will round up to 4, the curry chicken was good but could have been a tad bit more flavorful, however everything was hot and fresh which is always a good sign. My biggest issue with the meal was the paratha, it was drenched in oil, I had to use 4 paper towels just to get it to an edible state. The flavor wasn't bad but my chest hurt with every bite. The delivery was also fairly quick so I would definitely try this place again but maybe hold the paratha.

Yelp
I've tried a lot of Indian restaurants in the city and I didn't think this place a had huge variety of paneer dishes. The food was good, service was quick.
google avatar

Yelp
We did take out, on the way in noticed the grade pending sign, looked it up, not good. That being said the food is always good here. Some of the best chicken saag and tikka masala in the area. They got my wife's order wrong and we didn't notice till we got home so made due.

Yelp
I had a great experience at Tikka Indian Grill in Brooklyn. The restaurant is cozy and clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and authentic, with a variety of dishes to choose from. I ordered the black pepper chicken, which was spicy and flavorful, and the chili and onion naan, which was soft and buttery with a nice kick. Also had the palak paneer which was creamy and equally spicy (we asked for it so it was perfectly spiced). We were offered to try out some dishes they were testing (chicken wings and cauliflower wings). These were offered as complementary but were added to our bill (-1 stars here). Despite that, both were delicious and would have them again. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stop in for a yummy taste of indian cuisine.

Yelp
It's not just a food it's an experience! What a hidden little Indian Gem of the restaurant. Casual but stylish dining room with bright orange hues, delicious Indian food and super friendly and attentive service.

Yelp
One of the best Indian foods I've had lately! I like to return to this place - their food is rich in flavors and everything is delicious. They mark vegan in the menu and have a good selection of vegan dishes. The impossible curry is my favorite!

Suada T.

Yelp
My bf and I ordered the yellow daal tadka, chicken vindaloo, and chicken chops. Everything was delicious, but the chicken chops were especially flavorful. While the chicken vindaloo wasn't as spicy as we had hoped, it was still tasty. The service was excellent, too. We'll definitely be coming back.

Yelp
OH MY GAWD! What a surprise ordering delivery from here! I was getting my hair done in Williamsburg and had a rather long appointment so I needed to order dinner half way through. I was craving curry and did a Yelp search and this was one of the first results. I ordered two mains (to share with my hairdresser) and the stuffed Naan. Didn't even get curry! Ha! You guys, Sofia's Stuffed Naan with chicken (can come without) is EVERYTHING!! So flavorful! We were shocked at how good it was. Then came the Rogan Josh. Ugh. This lamb was so tender and screaming with intense red sauce. I couldn't eat it fast enough. The other dish was Chicken Chop with Yellow Lemon Rice and the chicken was juicy but had the delicious charred edges and the rice wasn't like anything I'd ever had. We were both very pleased with our choices and can't wait to order again and try more dishes!
google avatar

Hari K.

Yelp
Great value for all I got! The tofu jalfrezi was surprisingly great - didn't expect to like it, and the veggies were a bit funky (like the mushrooms) but the tofu was great. The aloo gobi was well worth it as a dish - gravy was lovely!
google avatar

Theresa L.

Yelp
I've only ordered for pick up here. This time I ordered pick up on Seamless. They have a lunch special for $14.99 that comes with an entree, daal and 1 samosa with a choice of either rice or naan. I got the chicken box so I picked chicken tikka masala with rice. (The other chicken options were chicken curry or chicken vindaloo.) Added 2 orders of garlic naan because you just have too. Everything was good and I was stuffed!

Micah D.

Yelp
Service was good and accommodating. Have had years of experience eating various Indian cuisine and this place is just okay. Nothing bad and nothing too good. Tikka masala was more on the watery side lacking in the usual spice profile I'm used to. The samosas were just okay as well. Lacking in filling and filling texture. Wet/mushy on the Inside was off putting. 5/10 experience overall.
google avatar

Ellen K.

Yelp
Ordered delivery from Tikka Indian Grill the other night, and it truly hit the spot. We tried the samosa chaat, butter chicken, lamb korma, and a special stuffed chicken naan, and everything tasted divine. Lots of flavor and generous portions; what more could you ask for? Very glad to have found our new go-to place for Indian in Williamsburg!
google avatar

Yelp
Large servings and good Indian food. I would come back again. The service was good too. It's pretty small inside so I wouldn't recommend it for large parties.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
This place is delicious. Everything we ordered was. The black pepper chicken had the right amount of kick and tons of flavor. The chicken chop was seasoned perfectly and tasted damn good. The lamb briyani was some of the best I've ever had. Ans the best part? It was affordable. It's definitely a repeat place you'd visit once a month.

Yelp
Indian food is good under the right weather. And what better way to enjoy under a cold day in January. Spices, sauces, naan puffy bread, curries and mango thick drinks. I loved this place and how attentive their service is. This place offers tablets as their menu to shy away from the usage of paper. Our waitress was always coming by our table to make sure everything was fine with our dining experience, always appreciative of that. My friend wasn't an expert on Indian food so I didn't have any issues introducing the basic condiments and items to order. Appetizers with the tamarind and coriander chutney with the crisp rolls. Sauces were very bright and freshly made as you can taste the kick. Next was the appetizer coconut shrimp. This dish was laced in a thick creamy coconut sauce and the shrimp was grilled and crisp with a soft chewy center. Loved it and wasn't expecting it as this isn't a standard Indian dish I've seen before. Other items I always get on my visit to an Indian restaurant is the bread and sauce fix: a naan (mainly garlic or potato as those have the most addictive fillings) with curry (chicken tikka for the milds and vindaloo for the spicy adventurous ones). Both of these were so savory and blazed with flavor, and I do mean both the bread and curry combined. The chicken portions were very generous in the curry and made my naan snacking even more fun. What I loved from our waitress was she sensed we had so much curry leftover after finishing the naan and needed more basmati rice (carbs portion) to balance our dinner on the side. Everything was so good and partially guilty I ate the curry and naan so fast before snapping pics of them. But that's always a happy food ending if you eat it all first and think later.

Yelp
The food here is so good. I recommend coming here with no more than 4 people if you want to get seated quickly as it is a pretty small place and it can get busy for dinner. Also it's BYOB. Lunch here is pretty quiet, and their lunch special is awesome - $10 for daal, naan or rice, a samosa, and a main. A couple of my favorite dishes are the samosa chaat (4.8/5) and the paneer kofta (5/5). The saag paneer is a staple (4.5/5) and the shrimp appetizer (4.5/5) is also very delicious. Don't forget a mango lassi! My only complaint about this place is the fluorescent-style lighting, not the coziest but you will be distracted by the food so it's ok.

KenKen P.

Yelp
The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is fast and friendly. There is a charming garden in the back.
google avatar

Yelp
It takes more than 2 hours to get your food. Do not waste your time. No good service, I cannot tell you about the food because we are still waiting for it.

Kamrul H.

Yelp
I would get food from here and my food would cost $26 all the time. the last 2 times I went I order a mango lassi with the usual food I get for $26 but it came out to $40 like the mango lassi was $14 ? this time I went it was not 26 but 29$. plus they not even Indian they are Bangladeshi people making Indian food.

Yelp
A nice quaint un-assuming restaurant that should not be overlooked. Friendly proprietors await you. The first course of Coconut Shrimp, was large juicy creamy shrimps. Each bite of this appetiser tasted like a coconut joy. The entree of Lamb Saag, was earthy spinach goodness with perfectly cooked tender, moist, melt in your mouth lamb. This restaurant is BYOB so, we ran across the street and picked up a large bottle of Chimay Grande Reserve Ale (no wine was available there). We made this a fun experience. Thanks for reading. Yelp
Really amazing food and great service! Tons of vegan and vegetarian options too if you are looking for that.

Yelp
I have to say, the people here are so considerate. My first time trying Indian Cusine and I'm not a fan. But the host, waiter and cook came to see if they can get me something else.. Their thoughtfulness and concern was beautiful. My husband ate everything so I know it was just me and my Pallet.. The food came out piping hot which is always a PLUS.. If u like Indian food I recommend this place for the attentive staff

Yelp
AMAZING!! My fiancé and I were in the area and starving and needed some really good comfort zone. Tikka Indian hit the spot. We ordered a cauliflower dish and samosas for our appetizers and chicken Tikka masala. We did the $15 lunch special that comes with 1 appetizers and one entree. Everything was flavorful, but the cauliflower fish was my fav! Service was really quick and the restaurant is spotless. Will come back

Yelp
Favorite Indian restaurant in the hood. The food is savory, fresh and always delicious. And the staff is lovely. Try the mango pickles, the most unique flavor ever! 5 stars.

Yelp
Small and intimate spot in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Great Valentine's Day find. The food was absolutely delicious. Flavors are some of the best Indian cuisine I've ever had. Great decor, great atmosphere. Selim was a wonderful and gracious host. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Pax S.

Yelp
I ordered the Chicken Tikka and wow!! The chicken was the most tender chicken I have ever had (and I have had a lot of chicken from Indian restaurants). I remember all of my late nights getting Seamless to drop off Indian food to my apartment during grad school but I can guarantee it was never this good. It was a short walk from where I stayed and I am so happy it was my welcome meal into BK.
google avatar

Aditi D.

Yelp
I have been here two times and both times the food did not disappoint. The tofu dishes are incredible, they taste like the real thing (paneer) and their rotis are soft and fresh. I also loved their yellow dal and samosas. The team was super accommodating and cut the cake we brought for my sister's birthday as well as joined us to sing happy birthday to her. The wait times were not overly long and the food was truly amazing. I would advise you to check this place out if you have the chance to!

Yelp
Solid Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. Plus who doesn't love BYOB Indian?! They didn't skimp out on the meat like other desi places and were committed to ensuring that customers had a fulfilling experience. Food was decent depending on what you order. - Chicken vindaloo with garlic naan: excellent - Samosa chaat: could've been better (spicier) and didn't come with samosa bits as expected - Coconut shrimp: a bit underwhelming
google avatar

Yelp
Food was so nasty. I LOVE Indian food but this wasn't it. I got the Paneer Tikka Masala. They're were thick chunky pieces of paneer that were tasteless other than the sauce which wasn't good either. Huge pieces of onion, and unnecessarily using way too much spices because every other bit I was hit with something else. This is not my typical experience Eileen having Indian food. Ive had enough paneer to know when it's not good and this was not good. And on top of that they give you such a small amount of food. Just ridiculous. I thought his place would've been great given that they have beyond meat options. I though that would've meant they mastered all other things on the menus before venturing out. I was mistaken.

It's M.

Yelp
Stay away. This food is filth! The naan bread was soggy and rubbery and the soup is not as pictured. To top things off they delivered my order with no spoon for the soup. Stay away!

Maryam R.

Yelp
amazing service and great food. the chicken tikka is juicy and flavorful. great halal sport

Yelp
Waitress was extremely nice, cute decor and the food was great. Just wish the lamb was more tender but overall it was great and I wanna come back with my mother.

Yelp
Tikka was a really solid choice for dinner. We came in on a rainy Saturday night and were able to grab a table pretty easily. When we arrived, they handed us a tablet each with a photographic menu-which was really helpful for my first-time-trying-Indian-food-dad. We got a few appetizers--the paneer-based Sabji Tikka was excellent, but I wasn't as much of a fan of the Chicken Malai Tikka, which felt a little flavorless. I tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was good, with a slow, gentle, building heat, and I heard good feedback on the Chennai Lamb and the Tawa Lamb Kebab. Glad to have found such a solid spot!

Yelp
Dear Non-Indians, This is not the *best* in Wburg or the best you've ever had. Chicken tikka masala almost doubled overnight from $14 to $22. A 3-item Seamless order (chicken tikka masala, samosa chaat & raita) are now magically $45 vs being ~$22-24 over the last several years. Since early 2019, quality has been an absolute hit or miss across most menu items (chaat, aloo gobi, chana masala, raita, naans) & prices continue to rise month over month. Taj Kebab & Desi Grill are much better, more authentic & consistent for a fraction of the price. Sorry Tikka, you're no Junoon. Best of luck! Sincerely, An Indian

Tim H.

Yelp
Wait 30 minutes after pickup is supposed to be ready, no apology. So rude. The food is usually good but won't be ordering again. Ok updated to 3 because it's still delicious, they just need to sort timing and service out.
google avatar

Jordan B.

Yelp
Tikka is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I've been dining in and ordering takeout/delivery for years and have had a consistently excellent experience. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get and they're always willing to make things right if they slip up (whenever I pick up, there's a table full of to-go bags so it's bound to happen every now and again). I definitely order the whitest thing on the menu and I have no shame. I get the chicken tikka masala ($15) with a side of garlic naan bread ($4), which is the perfect comforting winter treat. I've occasionally ordered their samosas which are also super tasty. If you're not beige like me, there is a colorful menu of different tastes and flavors, especially if you don't eat meat. If you're able to dine-in in the future, the place is decent sized but not huge, with lots of two top and larger tables to accommodate any sized party. It's pretty casual and they keep things moving along. Make sure to call them directly to order takeout or delivery. It never takes more than 20-30 minutes to get to me. Already looking forward to my next order.
google avatar

Anthony L.

Yelp
Slow service when we stopped by for a table of 4- from the looks of it, many takeaway orders were slowing down the kitchen a bit. The service was great and acknowledged the wait-- the food is solid. Good spice levels that give a proper kick and the biryani is delicious. We also had the Saag and Chicken Vindaloo. Might not be the place if you can't take a bit of heat but if you can, this is a decent spot for a casual lunch or dinner after strolling by the area's many shops and bars.
google avatar

Ainsley B.

Yelp
Tikka is a great option for delicious Indian food in the neighborhood. The lamb biryani is super delicious; the lamb itself is nice and tender. And the chicken tikka masala is exactly what you want it to be - creamy an flavorful and full of chicken. The staff is really helpful and nice, and if you're eating in the food comes out pretty quick! I've also never had issues with their delivery. Overall you really can't go wrong here! I'd love to try even more of the menu since they nail the basics.
google avatar

Esther C.

Yelp
I stumble upon Tikka Indian Grill when I was walking around Williamsburg. It was my first meal of the new year! I though back to when I went to the Yelp Queens event in December and it was in fact apart of the same team! I ordered the chicken tikka masala and a potato stuffed with paneer. They were both really good, though I would say the potato was a bit dry. However, I used some of the sauce that comes with the snack in the beginning and I thought it was a good combo and gave it the little moisture I needed. Service was really good but I would say a little slow. Perhaps because I came at a weird hour at 4 pm or maybe I should just relax and enjoy my meal slowly. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area and in the mood for Indian food.
google avatar

Randolph O.

Yelp
Our party of four ordered tandoori chicken, chana masala, paneer with spinach, dahl, nan, samosas and paratha. They were delivered on time and piping hot, and the meal was thoroughly enjoyed all. Thanks for having such a wonderful restaurant!
google avatar

Carley P.

Yelp
Wow! This place is a winner. I ordered delivery from here on a whim, not realizing it was 2.5 miles from my apartment. I live in Fort Greene and the Indian restaurants in this area are really sub par so I was looking for something different. After I ordered I was concerned it would take a really long time to get here but I ordered it at 7:30 and it came at 8:15 so it wasn't bad at all figuring my distance. The food was fantastic for the most part. I ordered samosa chat, this ground lamb appetizer, chicken tikka masala (came with rice) and garlic naan. The samosa chat was amazing. The lamb appetizer I wouldn't order again because it was too salty for my taste but the lamb was cooked well. The chicken tikka masala was AMAZING! Usually Indian restaurants have the tendency to over cook the chicken but this chicken was so tender and the sauce had perfect flavor. I would easily order from this place again and will make an effort to go up there and dine in too! It's leagues better than any place in my neighborhood and delivers faster than restaurants a couple blocks from me.

Yelp
The 3 stars are for the food. It's delicious, no doubt about that. I didn't give the 2 stars because the waiter tricked us into ordering way more. Anybody who goes there will immediately realize that 1 portion of Entrée is big enough that 2 can eat. He kept on pushing that 1 is not enough and that we should order more. The prices are also steep.

Todd F.

Yelp
I've been a weekly customer here for several years. The food and service was always great. They recently got a new chef and since then, the food has been some of the worst food I have ever eaten. Sad to see them go, but I'm not going back.
google avatar

Alishaan T.

Yelp
Not the best Indian food honestly. It only gets 2 starts cause there isn't another Indian food serving place in Williamsburg.
google avatar

Elena A.

Yelp
My bf and I ordered twice from here and it was simply great! The food is delicious : full of flavor, perfect for all your Indian food cravings. I really appreciate that they have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options in the menu and that they're easy to find when ordering online. I can recommend everything we tried: Aloo Gobi Samosa: fluffy and tasty! Chana Masala: our true favorite. Chickpeas in a rich sauce Paneer Tikka Masala: simply perfect. I love the texture of the Paneer in this. Garlic Naan and Onion Naan: soft and perfect with the dipping sauces Baigan Bharta: the eggplant has a very nice smokey flavor and the right level of spice Highly recommend it. Definitely gonna order again!

Kianna R.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place, my mom was in the mood for Indian and we stumbled upon this gem amazing flavor (but if you can't handle spicy this probably wouldn't be the best place for you) everything we had was excellent and good quantity. It's very clean and the staff are very friendly 10/10 I would recommend you try here. There's multiple locations as well. *and they give you fennel with natural candy with your bill to help sooth the spice and take out that heavy curry flavor in your mouth, it actually works*
