This cozy Echo Park wine bar mingles natural wines with delicious snacks, creating a chic vibe for casual dates and solo sips alike.
"Echo Park wine spot, sister to Italian restaurant Bacetti, closing with plans for a new venture in the space." - Rebecca Roland
"Tilda is a great place to hang out after putting your name in at Donna’s. Cozy and compact, this wine bar/bottle shop makes the most of its tight quarters, featuring a long list of natural wines, as well as shareable snacky things, like cheese boards, plates of charcuterie, and a fully loaded tinned fish platter. The latter is by far the best dish, but keep in mind the night is just beginning. Anchovy breath is forever (or at least until you brush your teeth). " - brant cox
"From the wall filled with bottles of California wines to the beautifully designed space and the Swinton-y name, Tilda is a wine bar/bottle shop that seems like it was custom-made for first dates. Cozy and compact, they make the most of their tight quarters, featuring a long list of natural wines, as well as plates made for sharing, like cheese boards, plates of charcuterie, and a tinned fish platter that comes with a crusty baguette, butter, and salsa verde that is, by far, the best thing on the menu. Although, upon reflection, a can of anchovies probably isn’t ideal for meeting someone for the first time." - jess basser sanders, brant cox, kat hong, brett keating
"From the wall filled with bottles of California wines to the beautifully designed space and Swinton-y name, Tilda is a wine bar in Echo Park where you go to impress someone infinitely cooler than you. Cozy and compact, they make the most of their tight quarters, featuring a sprawling list of natural wines, as well as plates made for sharing (naturally), like cheese boards, charcuterie plates, and a tinned fish platter that is, by far, the best thing on the menu. Served with a baguette, butter, and salsa verde, this straightforward dish may seem overly simple at first, but the crusty French loaf serves as the perfect vehicle for huge swathes of butter and thick, oily sardines, and tearing into it will immediately erase any sort of imposter syndrome you’ve been feeling in a room full of people who look like extras in Suspiria." - Kat Hong
"With their sprawling sidewalk café and menu packed with good wine, Tilda is where you go to delight pretty much anyone—even someone whose default position in life is to cross their arms and snarl. If you’re not familiar with skin contact wines (although, the fact that you’re eating in Echo Park somehow tells us you are), someone from their waitstaff will patiently walk you through their menu of Portuguese varietals and Cara Cara orange spritzes. If you're hungry, grab a tinned fish board or dish filled with the meatiest, most buttery Castelvetrano olives you’ve ever had in your life." - nikko duren, brant cox, sylvio martins
