Tinker Street Restaurant

My wife and I visited for Valentine’s Day while in town. I am happy to say every single part of the experience was phenomenal. The service, food, drinks, etc. were excellent and Chef Tyler Shortt and his crew deserve recognition for the restaurant they have built. We will be visiting any time we are in Indy!

I’ve been to Tinker several times now, and it’s always a great experience from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. The food is consistently delicious, and I love that their menu constantly rotates; every new iteration is beautifully executed. I always leave happy and already looking forward to the next visit!

TLDR: Finally tried Tinker Street after years of hearing great things. The staff were wonderful, but in my opinion the food felt confusing at times and didn’t quite justify the price. This review focuses mostly on the food and reflects my own taste and experience. Everyone’s palate is different, and since the menu changes often, your visit could feel completely different. After living in Indianapolis for five years since moving from New York City, I was excited to finally see what all the hype was about. I had always hesitated because the prices seemed a bit steep, but we decided to give it a try with a 5:45 pm reservation. We were first seated behind the hostess counter. The area felt a bit tight, which didn’t bother us much, but the direct sunlight streaming through the front door made it difficult to sit comfortably. The staff immediately helped us move to a better table, which we really appreciated. The menu was creative and playful with strong fusion influences, so we ordered a variety of dishes to get a fair sense of the food. The Korean Fried Mushrooms ($22) were crispy and flavorful, but the small rice flour pancake underneath seemed unnecessary. It wasn’t seasoned and there was only one so not enough to wrap the mushrooms and felt out of place. We both thought a light dipping sauce would have brought the dish together better than the kimchi served alongside. The Coconut Curry Soup ($12) was warm and pleasant but not especially memorable. The Whipped Pumpkin Ricotta ($22) from the fall menu was something I wanted to love, but it was heavy on cinnamon and tasted more like pumpkin pie filling than a savory dip... it was confusing. The Circle City Sweets baguette served with it was excellent, though it was the same baguette offered with the Fried Brussels Sprouts ($23). Fried brussels sprouts and baguette felt like an odd pairing. It seemed like the bread was included just to fill out the plate for the price. For our mains, we ordered the Curried Cauliflower Steak ($29) and the Shrimp and Farfalle ($34). The cauliflower dish was disappointing. The rice was undercooked, the potatoes were too firm, and the cauliflower itself wasn’t tender inside. It also had an overwhelming amount of pomegranate molasses that made it intensely acidic. The first bite was all sour with no balance, and the sauce tasted almost identical to the soup we had earlier, which didn’t help. The dish was so off that neither of us could eat it, and we decided to send it back which is a first for us. The staff kindly offered a replacement, but we were too turned off by the flavors and declined. The Shrimp and Farfalle was much better. The shrimp had a beautiful char and were juicy and flavorful. The pasta was a little mushy and some pieces stuck together, but overall this was one of our favorites of the night. For dessert, we tried the Ricotta Doughnuts ($12). They came out warm and the texture was slightly dense but not bad. We've had better ricotta doughnuts. The espresso ice cream they were served with though, was fantastic. What really made the evening positive was the staff. They were kind, professional, and attentive the entire night. When we declined a replacement for the cauliflower dish, they took it off the bill and even removed a few other items, likely because of the earlier seating issue. In our opinion, several dishes missed the mark, especially for the high prices, so expect to spend if you go. We felt that we paid a premium for food that didn’t fully deliver on flavor or execution. There were definitely some highlights, but overall the experience didn’t feel worth the total cost.

Amazing from start to finish. The Korean mushroom appetizer could have been a meal in and of itself. Ive never had a scallion pancake, but don't overlook it, because it pairs so nicely with the slightly spicy sauce on the mushrooms. We were seated in a roomy and comfortable booth in the back corner somewhat away from the traffic which was great. Immediately upon being seated we were greeted with water and a champagne toast. Important to note our water glasses were never dry. They must have come by 10 times to refill them which was a really nice touch. For our main course we chose the duck confit and shrimp pasta, both highly recommended by our server, Nick. The duck was out of this world. Fall off the bone tender and just as flavorful as you could imagine. I believe it came on a carrot rissoto which was a perfect pairing. The pasta was also great. For cocktails we both had tequila. He had a take on a Paloma that was the special. It was a little different but still good. I thoroughly enjoyed my spicy marg. We really had not anticipated getting dessert but he couldn't help himself and ordered the ricotta donuts with espresso ice cream and chocolate pearls. He picked the plate clean. Everyone we encountered was attentive and helpful and the food was delicious. We can't wait to go back next time we are in downtown indy.

My husband and I came in for the first time this weekend. The service was nothing short of spectacular! Having a bubbles toast to start the evening was chef's kiss! We started with two cocktails off their specials menu and both were insanely delicious and each offered a new take. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly and he nearly cleaned the plate. As a vegan, I ordered the curried cauliflower. The cauliflower steak was cooked well and delicious. The sauce, however, was very sweet and acidic, almost like pure apple juice with a hint of cinnamon (I assume it was the pomegranate molasses). My potatoes were a little under, as well as my rice. I wanted to love it, but couldn't. We were so excited for the peanut parfait but it was unfortunately not being offered when we went to order desserts. While I wasn't 100% satisfied with my food, we agreed we would love to come back when the next iteration of the menu comes out. We really loved everything about our experience except for my main plate. I can't say enough about the wonderful service!!

Have much nostalgia going to Tinker Street back in 2017 on a date (with my now spouse) - that when we ended up visiting Indy to walk down memory lane we just had to try it again. Did not disappoint - even after 8 years this restaurant is a testament to consistency and quality. Started with the summer salad which was fresh and delicious. Got the Salt of the Earth cocktail to pair -super interesting and deceptively strong. Got the crab scampi and black cod as mains. Scampi was delicious, and the cod was truly special-most tender and buttery fish I have ever had - the texture is just on another level. For dessert, our waitress recommended the Pavlova, which was absolutely the right call - just a beautiful fruity palate cleanser; which I subsequently washed down with an equally phenomenal espresso martini. Long live Tinker Street - would love to come yet again whenever we get a chance to do Indy again.

4-Star Review for Tinker Street Tinker Street nails it with exceptional service and solid food in a cozy, intimate setting. The restaurant is definitely on the smaller side—think charming, not cramped (unless you’re claustrophobic, then… maybe charming and cramped). The food? Good. Not “write home to grandma” good, but definitely “text your foodie friend” good. Creative flavors, nice presentation, and portions that won’t leave you hangry. Now, let’s talk about the unsung hero of the night: the Water Guy. I don’t know his name, but this man treats hydration like a calling. I swear I never saw the bottom of my glass. He refilled it like he was defusing a bomb—calm, precise, and absolutely not here for your thirst. Give that man a raise. Or a cape. Only odd thing? The bathrooms are just a few steps from the kitchen. Not a huge deal, but it’s a little weird when your path to the restroom feels like you might accidentally be mistaken for a sous-chef. Overall, a great experience. Come for the food, stay for the water.

Great restaurant close to downtown. The service is great and the servers are knowledgeable about the menu and wine. They always have a vegan and gluten free entree. When you first sit down you get a small glass of champagne which is a nice touch. On our last visit we got the smoked carrots and they were shockingly good. The carrot soup was excellent and then for entrees I got long trumpet mushrooms and my wife got the Sacchetoni en Brodo. She said hers was good. The peanut parfait is amazing and a must get to finish the meal. It is on the pricier side but it is with it in my opinion.

OMG, I don't know where to start, EVERYTHING about our experience was SO good! There were 3 of us for dinner. We arrived early for our reservation and we were sat right away. We should have requested a table indoors because it was quite hot for a couple of people from the north (Maine & Michigan), but there was a breeze and the fans helped the air to move a bit. I had the cocktail of the day, cannot remember the name of it, but it gin and it was delicious. We had quite the spread of starters: Fried Brussel Sprouts, half dozen oysters, Korean fried mushrooms, the soup of the day - chilled roasted red pepper, asparagus salad and the beet salad. All of it was incredible. For me personally, the fried brussels sprouts were my favorite. For our large plates we had the duck and dumplings, the sirloin and the scallop and scallion risotto. Everybody loved their entrées. I had the scallop and scallion risotto - it was incredible. Everything was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we had the ricotta donuts. We split an order of four between the three of us, but I could've easily eaten a plate myself. They were so good. All of that being said, the highlight was our server. She was one of the best I've had in a really long time. I feel like an absolute jerk for not remembering her name. She was petite with a buzz cut and some great tattoos. I'm providing a description with hopes that someone at the restaurant sees this review and lets her know how awesome we thought she was - hopefully our tip showed her how awesome we thought she was. Of course we also told her. The gentleman who kept our glasses of water full all night was a delight, so kind. If we lived closer we would be in regularly. I highly recommend Tinker Street if you are ever in the area.

I won a gift card at the Savor Indianapolis event and have been waiting for the right time to use it. This dining experience was incredible - the flavors of the food in these dishes took me on an emotional journey because of how good it all was. The flavors in these dishes were spectacular. I sipped on my friend's Banana Old Fashioned with 8th Day bourbon because he was kind enough to share - normally not an old fashioned gal but WOW, I could've finished that whole cocktail. Then the tough decision for what to eat came about and I went with the scallops. Almost brought tears to my eyes with how good it was. The scallops were tender, the risotto was creamy and filling with a nice bit of spice to it. A perfectly balanced dish that I will be thinking about for a long while. The chef really created a masterpiece with that one. For dinner I got the Banana Pudding. I used to live in Georgia and that was a staple so I had to try it here. It was thicker and more rich than I've had it elsewhere and I loved every bite. I wanted to lick the dish but I somehow restrained myself. Our waitress was wonderful as well and I enjoyed meeting the manager who was very friendly. The only downside is how close all of the tables are however it did add a communal spirit to this place. Definitely want to make this a once every few months treat myself spot!

Went here with a group of friends a few weeks ago. Located at the corner, this tiny gem has no parking so be prepared to walk or find parking on a random nearby street. We walked several blocks because we were going to a play but the neighborhood seemed fine and the weather was great. Friendly staff but be sure to make a reservation because this place is tiny. Overall, I think everyone should try this place. They have a great varied menu but it is not cheap. I got to sample so many items because there were 7 of use but my bill, which was one cocktail, half an appetizer and an entree was almost 90 with tip. The pictures I took show their lovely presentation of food. The mushrooms and brussels were amazing. The pasta, the shrimp all great. The French fries - meh. Cocktails were good but on the small side. It was a great experience though and I plan to take other friends here this summer. Those mushrooms...

Sat at the bar tonight for our first time at Tinker Street for my birthday dinner. It was perfection. The service was friendly and helpful. The drinks were amazing, I loved the Tulum drink, refreshing with a kick. We started with the Korean Fried Mushrooms and so tasty! I had the Sweet Pea Agnolotti which was rich and delicious without being an overwhelming portion. The hubs had the Duck & Dumplings and loved them. It was such a comfortable neighborhood place with elevated, delicious food.

Romantic, elegant, cozy, and absolutely delicious. You can taste the love and passion from the kitchen that goes into each dish. Great drink selection as well. I recommend the Sirloin dish and the Mushroom Stroganoff for entree. You can add protein to any entree for an additional cost and enhance your dish. The service is top notch and they have a wine expert that is willing to answer any questions you may have about their extensive wine selection. Champagne toast for the table before dinner is always a nice touch. Highly recommend having reservations, for it is a small space perfect for dates and intimate meals with friends and loved ones.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city! My husband and I love sharing a bunch of small plates so we get to try different things and this place is perfect for that! It has such a cozy and quaint vibe. They start you off with complimentary sparkling wine served by the sommelier, which is a nice touch. The cocktails are great. They have a rotating menu, which is great to try new things, but man does it stink when you find a dish that you love haha. I do believe their soup is always vegan, which is a nice touch for those who are vegan haha. We started off with the whipped ricotta, oysters, and Takoyaki which were all pretty good. Granted, the Takoyaki didn't compare to what we had in Japan, but it was a pretty good try for a restaurant in the middle of Indiana haha. I had a dish that had white beans and shrimp and OMG was it delicious. I don't think I would have normally ordered something like this but I was glad I did. The pork tenderloin and duck were also great. For dessert, we got the ricotta donuts which are phenomenal. We also go a chocolate, peanut butter parfait which was pretty good.

After years of hearing about this place I finally made an appearance...but only for dessert. Two of my close friends love this place and rave about it all the time so I will need to come back for dinner sometime. We stopped in for drinks and dessert. We ordered the ricotta donuts and banana pudding. They were both really good! The atmosphere was nice and cozy. It is very small inside so I can imagine the environment is crazy loud when it's a packed house. We came in close to closing time so it wasn't too busy during our time. Overall, I had a great short experience!

I went to Tinker Street for my birthday dinner last week and it was all around a great experience! They greeted my husband and I with a champagne toast for the occasion and we put our drink orders in. I ordered one of the holiday drinks and it was great; basically a cranberry French 77! For dinner we split the brussel sprouts (so good), my husband got the steak, and me the jerk shrimp. Holy cow the jerk shrimp was amazing!! Such bold flavor and a unique dish all together. We got the peanut butter parfait and espresso for dessert and it was the perfect way to finish the meal. The service was so great! I wish I could remember our waitresses name because she was so unbelievably sweet and attentive. Really enjoyed my experience here and will be back!

This was the most intimate place. I loved the lighting and the food was splendid. The sommelier paired the meals with the best wine and it was such a good experience. The tables are close together but I didn't feel smashed together with others in the restaurant.

Whenever I go to Tinker Street it's always an experience. The restaurant has such a warm atmosphere, and the lighting is just perfectly aesthetic. When you get to your seat at Tinker Street, they provide you with a little glass of champagne and go over what you're drinking. They have a lot of options for drinks and wines. The menu changes a lot so you probably won't ever get the same thing twice. They have a variety of options and a lot of food that I end up having to look up. I like that experience when I am eating because it challenges me to try different foods. I am willing to look past some ingredients that may not usually interest me because the combinations never miss. For me Tinker Street is fine dining. The meals and drinks are priced higher than most places in Indy, but I believe it's worth every penny. The service may not be that close to fine dining but the food and the quality of the ingredients really speak to the care and thought that goes into crafting these meals.

Amazing, amazing amazing! Such a great little gem of a restaurant in a fun area of town. The food was great but what stood out to me was the service and the wine list. We ordered a bottle of a well priced Willamette Valley pinot noir that was excellent. I liked it so much that I took a picture of the label to be able to purchase it at a local wine shop. We asked the server about the bread pudding as we typically try it everywhere we go. We were torn to try the signature dessert (doughnuts) or the bread pudding and decided we had to try both. The server was so kind and ended up comping our dessert in the idea that we were "taste testing" the menu and it needed to be done for "scientific reasons." We were very appreciative and certainly didn't expect that. Great service, Great food, & Great vibe!

Always good vibes in here. Small but cozy, good service. We shared a few dishes and they were all great! They have a rotating menu with eclectic dishes. They have a fair number of things if you are vegetarian but many of their dishes have meat. Cocktail menu is creative as well! Overall really great dining experience!

Wonderful little restaurant, cozy atmosphere kind and knowledgeable staff; great place for a quick appetizer and drinks or a delightful culinary experience with a seasonal menu that hasn't disappointed yet!

Food was great as usual. Service was spot on also. Had Korean fried mushrooms which were great. Had Butter Shrimp and Sweet Pea Agnolotti as entrees. Would recommend either one. Can't say I have ever had anything that wasn't good there.

Everything was fantastic from the outdoor seating to the ambiance and the wonderful food. I will be eating here again and again.

We celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary here as our kids surprised us with a gift card. We found (I think) the street parking spot so maybe Uber it if you can. The 'toast' champagne they give you is a nice touch and service was fairly slow but very friendly. We ordered the whipped ricotta as an appetizer (more than two can eat in my opinion) and then I had the mushroom pierogi as my entrée and my husband had the Korean short rib pasta. Both meals were very tasty and super filling. It was very tight quarters as this place is super popular and it was a Friday night so just expect to need to be friendly with your neighbors, lol. It appears there were a couple IndyCar drivers partaking in the restaurant food, so there were a couple McLarens parked out front, which was kind of cool. They've got a great unique concept here and if we lived locally, we would be back. I really liked the offering of the orange Pinot Grigio from Italy, very tasty! I hadn't seen this on the menu before, so was excited to try it.

Always solid but also always one miss whenever we go. The caviar potatoes were little bites of heaven, and the miso oysters are creamy and savory. The miss tonight was the beet salad. Something intensely gritty in it, almost sandy? Would not order again. Mushroom stroganoff had a silky sauce and the vegan bao buns were satisfying enough you'd think they weren't vegan. Wait staff is kind, som is knowledgeable but just not the warm fuzzy type. Maybe dessert next time, keep hoping they bring back the olive oil grapefruit cake from years ago.

You have to get the Korean Fried Mushrooms. These were outstanding and one of my favorite appetizers anywhere I've been. Even my husband who isn't a big fan of mushrooms loved these. For my entrée, I got the Eggplant & Tofu Baba Ganoush. It was really good as well, but came with A LOT of snap peas. I love snap peas, but it seemed like that portion was disproportionate to the other food on the plate. Just a small complaint. I had a couple of dirty martinis, which were perfectly made. I loved the charming atmosphere of this small restaurant, and will happily return to try more of the menu.

TLDR; We just had what was our favorite meal in Indy (and the Indy area) in the two years we have been living here. From the service (we had so many touch points by multiple people who worked there and they were all good) to the food it was an all-around excellent experience. Will be back and would highly recommend Tinker Street. To start: The Tinker toast is such a fun touch and although I am 9 months pregnant they had a solution so I could partake (ginger beer) which was very nice and appreciated. They also had a selection of non-alcoholic wines which was a nice surprise (the sparkling Rose was excellent, I didn't miss the alcohol at all) for this pregnant person's birthday celebration. We had the fried mushroom as an appetizer and agree with so many of the reviews. It was excellent. The dishes' combination of textures (fried, soft, crunchy, a little chew, etc) to the flavors (umami, salty, touch of sweetness, acidic, a hint of spice). Seriously an impressive dish, we ate every bite. For our mains, we went with the Duck and dumplings and the Korean Short Rib pasta. The duck was perfectly cooked and the dish as a whole was delicious. The short rib was on the saltier side but full of flavor (if I had one comment maybe just something small to cut the salt..maybe just a little fresh bread) but was still delicious, the pasta was perfect. For dessert, we went with the seasonal pumpkin creme brulee. Perfect amount of burnt (in a good way) sugar on top and the pepitas also added a nice crunch and a hint of spice. Flavors were great! Not too sweet, just right. The one thing my husband and I both thought was it would be nice if the 'creme' was a little warmer or room temp (I know maybe not traditional, it just felt with the pumpkin personally a little warmth would be good) instead of cold and, again because it's pumpkin, it wasn't very smooth. But those are just personal preferences, it was a good dessert. I could also see it being turned into an amazing bread pudding, but I digress. Next time (and there will be a next time!) we will try their popular ricotta donuts. But if you love pumpkin, this would be a good choice and who doesn't love a seasonal dessert?? All in all, we will go back with every excuse we have (and we live 40 min away) and will be recommending Tinker to others as well.

Great food with flavors to be enjoyed in every dish. I was with my daughter who was visiting from out of town, and we were looking for a special experience for dining. The tables are close, and it's a bit noisy for someone like me with hearing loss, but I would never let that factor outweigh the chance to experience the great food and service. Our servers were fabulous, and we felt absolutely pampered. Can't wait to get there again!

Friday nights are our date nights and this week we went to Tinker Street. Parking wasn't easy but possible on the side streets. They have a small parking lot and they were very busy so it was full. Once we parked and walked to the restaurant we went in and the ambiance was very nice and the people who greeted us were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We did not have a reservation but they were able to seat us quickly at the bar. Our service was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to help us with our order and had our food out to us very quickly. I got the mushroom stroganoff with beef ( absolutely delicious) fresh toasted bread as an entree. So did my husband. The serving size was great, very filling. We also got the potatoes and caviar as a starter. They have a wonderful specialty drink menu and we passed on the dessert because we were full, but everything on it looked delicious. We were also welcomed with a wine sample, which I thought was a wonderful touch. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely visit again.

Tinker is one of the quintessential Indy restaurants. The vibe is completely unique, warm, and fun. The menu is always interesting and updated regularly. I love the veggie (and vegan) friendly options. Their wine list is amazing. Service is always great. If you live in Indy or are visiting you HAVE to check out Tinker.

We visited Indy for a weekend and heard so much about this place! There were several vegetarian options which was great! The whipped ricotta was SO good. The entrees were an interesting mix of flavors. We got the mushroom hot pot and sweet potato sachhetoni. Unfortunately the hot pot was really bland and kind of difficult to eat. The pasta was good, tasted like a plate of thanksgiving because of the sweet potato filling and cranberry sauce. The star for us was the peanut parfait dessert, hard to believe it's vegan! I would recommend apps and dessert. They also had an extensive wine list and a sommelier walking around if you had questions. I'm 7 months pregnant and they had an alcohol removed red wine! It was sweet but I appreciated the option! The place is small and part indoor part outdoor no matter the weather. It was a little chilly the night we went and they had fuzzy blankets and heaters if ya needed. You have to make reservations !

Always plenty space and parking lot is so close. The menu is nice and sweet with plenty of choices. Staff is always nice and fast service even when they're busy they find time to help you.

Never had such great service. Our party of nine was greeted, seated, and served by five different employees! The water fillers sure are attentive. The menu is pricey but the food is wonderful. A varied choice of spirits for those who imbibe.

Fun unique restaurant. My wife and I went there for a date night. Food was excellent, cozy atmosphere, eclectic mini changes, but is very good.

Best restaurant in Indianapolis, Lived in the city for 26 years and I've never experienced flavor like this. Every dish is so well done and the flavors are addicting, melts in your mouth. The service is amazing. Everything came out hot and timely. The ambiance is dreamy. Perfect date night. Our server Mikaela had awesome recommendations and was such an amazing server.

Service is always top notch. Wine list is lovely. Atmosphere is cozy and perfect. One of the places I always recommend to folks from out of town who are willing to venture out of downtown proper. We are there almost once a month.

Cute restaurant near downtown Indy. The food here always rotates and they use fresh in season ingredients. My fav when I visited was the corn tamale, it was super flavorful and not a dry tamale. The fresh corn was delicious. I ordered a chicken plate that had saffron risotto. The risotto was delicious but the chicken was just okay. The matcha cake was very light and tasty as well. The service was okay compared to other times I've gone. My friend ordered a glass of wine that never came (she was not charged and she didn't ask for it again) and another drink that was ordered had to be asked for again. We usually have great service here so it felt like an off day.

Our first trip to Tinker Street was pretty amazing. The first thing we noticed was how attentive and knowledgeable the staff is. Like, every server, hostess, sommelier, and busser. Every single staff member knew their role well. I ordered the beet gnocci, and loved it. The sauce was rich and savory and really hit on a cold windy night. The portion size was perfect so I felt full, but not uncomfortable. My dinnermates ordered the duck and the truffled sirloin and both were super pleased with their meaty choices. There were three of us enjoying dinner on a Wednesday night which meant one appetizer, three meals, a few drinks, and three desserts. Our total was over $300! Everything was delicious, but at that price point, it's not a place we can visit very often.

Really great, lovely folks involved in this establishment. There is always something delightful on the menu for anyone, regardless of dietary restriction. Dishes are creative and flavorful, staff is friendly and accommodating, and the overall experience is exemplary. Do yourself a favor and check this spot out!

This place is on an Indy bucket list for myself. It's fine dining and not something I can do often with a small child at home. However, we went on our ten year anniversary and it was so special. The champagne to welcome us was a nice touch and I'll always remember that.

The MUSHROOMS omg. Still thinking about them months later. Very cool spot and very good service. Will be back again.

Tinker Street is a warm intimate experience, with incredible food. I made our reservation for 7 and was seated right as I arrived at that time. The host was cheerful and promptly, he didn't ask us our seating preference, but as always the restaurant was lively, and the seat he chose for us was great. It was on their covered patio, with warm blankets available on the back of the chairs since it was a cool fall night. Our waitress came over once she was available to pour our welcome bubbles and offer us the nightly specials. We both chose one of the specials. I cringed when I decided to have the burger ( not a regular menu item), but when it arrived it was much more fulfilling than your normal restaurant burger. The waitress recommended medium and it came with immense flavor and perfect plating. I've never had a bad food experience at Tinker. We also had the pleasure of meeting the pastry chef at tinker street, as she personally delivered our dessert options to us. I had the Honey Cake, which was moist and perfectly flavored with the berries. Another highly recommend for me!

It's been at least 5 years since I have dined at Tinker Street, but everything was still great. I see there are a lot more vegetarian/vegan options this go round. I think that's great this was an ideal choice since one of the people in my party was vegan. The actual restaurant is very small, but I see they have added covered/heated space since I last came. The service was impeccable as always, my server was great and we met the pastry chef who always was pleasant. I plan to go back next time I am in town.

Great food fun place to go and nice staff. Great menu and nice atmosphere . A must place to go in Indianapolis.

We recently sat in for the Chef's Tasting... and all I can say is, wow!! We ordered drinks off the cocktail menu, which were delicious. You can do this experience with a wine pairing, which we didn't, but I'm sure that would make it even better. They also carry several NA options for beer, wine, and mocktails. I've attached the menu and photos of each course. If you don't like the items on this menu, don't worry; the Chef's Tasting menu is never the same twice, and always centered around what's seasonally fresh and available. Each course was delicious and each dish was somehow better than the last! With multi-course menus like this, I often fill up too fast for dessert, but the portion sizes added up perfectly to a big, satisfying meal. The executive chef came out to the table with each course and explained the ingredients, flavors and cooking techniques. He was kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer our questions. He very clearly loves his job (and it shows in his cooking)! The servers were accommodating when we had to start late, and never made us feel rushed, which we appreciated. The space was clean, pretty, and free of flies and bugs, even though we sat outdoors. All in all, we had an awesome experience. I will definitely be back, and would recommend this to anyone!

This restaurant continues to amaze. Ingenious use of space, great ambiance, top notch staff and Tyler creates some of the finest food you'll ever consume. Had Leek soup and braised short-rib ravioli recently. Wow! Arctic Char unparalleled. Don't miss this place!

So caught up in the atmosphere and conversation that I didn't take photos of my dinner! I had a great meal here this winter when a friend was visiting. The sommelier was very knowledgeable. Wait staff was great. Ambience was almost perfect, aside from being pretty close to surrounding tables. Looking forward to coming back when the weather allows full outdoor atmosphere.

Could not get enough of the Korean fried mushrooms!! The service was attentive and the drinks were delicious. I feel like they have gotten their groove back after losing it for a bit in the pandemic. The ambiance leaves something to be desired but worth it for such tasty food.

I recently returned to Tinker Street at it was phenomenal! I had been before within a year of it opening and loved it. No reason I didn't visit again for a while, then was taken back for a special occasion The menu was a combination of regular items and seasonal rotating selections. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked and had interesting and amazing flavors! I had always thought of this place as a wine place but we started off with a couple amazing cocktails. When I was interested in wine, I got to hear from the lovely sommelier! They made a perfect recommendation.

Food: Delicious. We ordered the truffled sirloin to share (it was so good that I ate it all before I could get a good picture!). Our reservation was for 8:30 p.m. and by that time, most other dishes on the menu were sold out which was a bummer. Next time, we'll go earlier in the night for more selection! Service: Top notch, 10/10! Ambiance: This is where our experience fell flat. We were seated at 2-top table that was wedged in between a few other tables. We were elbow-to-elbow with the party sitting next to us. No big deal, but if you're looking for an intimate or romantic dinner, this might not be what you're looking for.

Food is delicious. Interesting cocktails. Wine list is extensive, both with affordable and expensive bottles, and by the glass (one of the few places in town with a full time sommelier). Service is attentive. The ambience is warm. We come back here regularly. Good for couples or a group of six (eight possible but might be tight). Definitely make a reservation before you go.

What a great dining experience from the minute we walked it. Wait staff is amazing as was the food. So happy we had a reservation- it was packed.
