I stumbled upon this place after a quick search on Apple Maps. I’ve been wanting to give it a try for ages. It was quite lively since it was dinner time. But don’t worry, there’s plenty of parking, and they even have outdoor seating. It’s a fast-casual spot, so you just place your order and take a seat with a number. I told the worker that I needed a bit of time because I’m new to the place. I went with the taco combo, and I also ordered a side of chips. They asked me about my salsa preference, and I chose the jalapeño cremosa. I asked for a cup of water, and they gave me one. I settled in and waited. When I went to grab my drink, I asked the guy if I needed a number or if they knew where I was sitting. He said he knew where I was, so I sat back down. The place was quite noisy, but as usual, I plugged in my AirPods and drowned out the sound. After a while, I noticed they were busy packing to-go orders. I was surprised when the same guy who took my order brought me a bag to my table. But guess what? He forgot to deliver my salsa or any utensils. I went back up and asked for them, and he handed me some plastic to-go utensils. I can’t believe they thought that was for to-go. I clearly asked for a number for my table and a cup of water from one of their cute, nostalgic plastic cups. But I un-bagged everything and started eating.
Now, the tacos were small, but they were really tasty. I loved the flavor. The rice was a bit old and clumpy, though. The beans were good. The chips were freshly made, but they were a bit greasy and a tad too salty. But hey, there were quite a few of them, so it made up for it. Overall, for the combo and a side of chips, it was $18, which is a bit pricey.
