Made-to-order ramen with organic broth, plus veggie & pork toppings, fixed up in a food truck.
"Torraku Ramen used to be a ramen-only food truck, but now they’ve got a brick-and-mortar spot in Potrero Hill serving everything from donburi bowls to yakisoba. They also have a katsu sandwich that’s all-around excellent, and we especially love it because of the spicy mayo. The sandwich also comes with a side of dressing and cabbage salad, which you’ll want to stuff inside the sandwich yourself for a necessary crunch." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez
"The fire truck red storefront of this counter-service Potrero Hill restaurant points the way to one of our favorite katsu sandwiches—and more. Formerly a food truck, the permanent outpost of this Japanese spot is where to get everything from ramen and donburi bowls to yakisoba. Like we hinted, the can’t-miss order is the katsu sandwich, which is coated with spicy mayo and highlights a perfectly fried pork or chicken. The sandwich is also served with dressing and cabbage salad you mix together and stuff inside it to add a nice crunch. Make a mental note to get the sandwich next week as another speedy meal. They also have a second location in the Marina with sit-down service, and ordering by phone. " - Julia Chen
"Torraku Ramen started its life as a food truck, then went permanent at 300 De Haro back in 2017. Now its opening a second location in SoMa, Hoodline reports." - Eve Batey
