I love this place. This time we came in a group of 4 people for brunch. We waited about 20 minutes. We could see a good number of tables available, but they weren’t seating more people. I think because they didn’t have enough waiters. They had indoor and outdoor spaces. This time we sat outside. It felt like a peaceful jungle. We also stepped inside and it was cooler inside and also nicely cluttered with mixed busy decor, but different. The selection of brunch items was not much. The menu seemed full, but when we started reading the description of each item, they all had the same ingredients: eggs and pork! Two of us were vegetarian, and one of us didn’t like eggs! So we were stuck with what to order. Maybe the lunch or dinner menu is better, but we didn’t order from those. I don’t think I want to go again for brunch! I might try going again for another meal at different time of the day. The service was less than regular. The waiters popped in and out very quickly to drop the goods and leave without any personal touch. I must say that I don’t like to have people with extra long beard carrying and serving my food. The beard was dangling a few inches above my food. I have no problem with people with beard, but it would be great if they can cover it while they’re carrying people’s food. I was frantically looking for hair in my food. I also noticed that more than one waiter/busboy with a long beard! I will go again to try to pump up my review with a better experience.

I had such a wonderful breakfast at this restaurant! The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Every bite was flavorful from the perfectly cooked eggs to the fluffy pancakes and freshly brewed coffee. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was cozy and clean, a perfect place to start the day. I’ll definitely be coming back…. highly recommended!

Google
I am definitely not a breakfast person, but I love coming here for breakfast or brunch whatever you wanna call it. Their menu is so diverse. There were all kinds of cool items to order. My sister and I had a fantastic experience here. From the mocha to the breakfast to the maybe not the smartest idea to eat dessert for breakfast… but the Double Dog Cake is so good!!! Our server was a super cool dude. Even though we don’t really live close by I love coming down here cause the atmosphere is very cool. .

Google
We came here on a Sunday for brunch around noon. The wait was 90minutes. This is honestly the only place in Sacramento I will wait this long for a table. They do not take reservations unfortunately. The French toast is my favorite and I’ve been coming here for over 10 years just for it. We celebrated our son’s 15th Birthday. It is nice there is a fountain area to wait where the kids can wander around. You can go inside and order drinks before you sit down. One slight thing is there is only two bathrooms - so all morning the line was very long - this line goes down the hallway where the staff is in and out of the kitchen. This is the only downfall (obviously not a reason not to go here) but, definitely don’t wait to go to the bathroom - there may be a line so have patience and be kind! This place is so great! The atmosphere is unmatched and you will like anything you order. @raising4harrisons

Stopped here for breakfast after a business meeting. The ambiance was amazing beautiful green lush garden, the statues and waterfalls were just amazing. They have indoor or outdoor seating of course we chose the outdoor seating because it was just beautiful. Our servers and the staff were super friendly. The giant slab of french toast was divine. I would love to go back again!

Google
Wow! I got the fiery grilled chicken sandwich and I already want another. My partner got the French connection and the French toast was unforgettable and the kids blueberry pancakes were delicious as well! Not a single complaint. Wait time was 1 hour and we got in, in 30 minutes and got our food quickly. Will be back soon.

Google
Was a random stop and even though it was busy it was beautiful. Once in a lifetime experience. There is nothing like this back home. The wait was worth it and the food was excellent. I loved the diverse menu and the portions. Im sad this will probably be mu only time here but it will forever be memorable.

Google
The atmosphere was vibrant and eclectic. My husband and I shared meals to get a taste of both. The fish and chips were awesome and I got a taste of his Jerk Chicken (yum)! Topped it off with a delicious (fresh) tasting Blackberry Margarita rimmed in Cinnamon. Definitely would recommend all of it!

Yelp
Food was good. I ordered a salad with chi, the ambiance was good. The service was great too.

Yelp
Location: Located in Sacramento, off Broadway, next to the historic Tower Theatre. Ambiance and Decor: If international eccentric was a restaurant, this would be the spot. Walls fully decorated with everything plus the kitchen sink. Latin-European-African-Americana energy vibe. This spot gets busy, so arrive early, wait in line, and get ready for a fun time. Service: Service with a smile and super quick service. The servers don't have we uniforms which gives the restaurant a "chillin with friends" vibes. Food: Perfect place for brunch that offers a variety of international choices from Thai steak salad, to a madame cristo, to Oaxacan eggs mole. I ordered the Tower Eggs, which was their take on the classic eggs benedict but on top of corn bread. Yup... that smacks. Overall: 5/5 totally worth the visit. This is a must if you're in Sacramento. This spot definitely starts the day.

Yelp
This is frome a January visit Omg... why does this place have anything above 2 stars... came in here for a brunch on a saturday...lets start with the hostess playin on her phone, come up to the hostess stand, and wait, after a couple minutes and a couple loud clearing of the throat I finally said "can we get seated please"... her response "let me finish my text message". Should have left right then. Was another 15 minutes until the waiter even came by, he took our drink order and we said we were ready to order, he said i'll be back in just a second... 10 minutes later we order buscuits and gravy special w/over easy eggs and the egg tower (there version of eggs benedict)... the biscuit was so hard I had to use a knife and u could hear it crunch when my knife finally broke through, the gravy was breaking and oil was pooling on top and the eggs were beyond OVER HARD. So that dish just got returned, told our server it was so bad I didnt want to try anything. As to the egg tower... you serve breakfast people, figure out a runny yoke. The poached eggs might as well have been hard boiled, the sauce was breaking and no flavor and the cornmeal things they were stacked on were horribly dry and just unedible, like take a bite ans then a bif swig of water so u can even try and swallow it. As we walked out we bother agreed, NEVER AGAIN! To recap... Horrible service from hostess to server, I've worked in restaurants, when things get sent back always take the plate back right away and a manager goes out and asks what can be done to make it right, etc, plate left in front of me the rest of the meal, no manager visit. Food...How can you mess up that bad, learn how to make a runny yoke, make sauces and gravys that arent breaking, make a biscuit that isnt hard-tack, and get rid of ur super dense dry corn cakes, they got pushed to the side after one bite. YELP WHY CAN'T I GIVE 0 STARS?! come here if u want to spend at least 2 hours for a breakfast, a breakfast that you will take a bite of one plate and just throw in the towl, and the other plate the ham and one of the eggs will be eaten, the other 3/4 of the plate will be pushed to the side. Oh the best part our server dropped the check, never apologized for the biscuits and gravy, asked if we wanted a box for the rest, we said no, that was basically just as bad. Didnt say a word, took the credit card, left the plates of nasty food in front of us, then came back finally and he had charged us for both plates, I can understand the egg tower because some of it was eaten but the biscuits and gravy? Wtf man, I told u it was SO BAD TAKE IT BACK and you left in front of me for the next 45 minutes and then still charged me $18 dollars. When we asked him to take refund the charge, take that off and recharge it he argued saying "well i saw you take some more bites of it"... hmmm really, did you now? Seeing as you I had to wave you down to ask to take my plate away (you didnt) and u never checked on us again until you dropped the bill (finally)! After some more back and forth he said he would go talk to a manager. Again manager didnt come out or anything, he just came back with the receipt for the refund, and the new receipt, didnt say anything and just kinda tossed the receipt holder w the card and reciepts on the table... and still couldnt clear the dishes. So yea, rude, nasty, horrible service from hostess to server, and please get someone that can cook. I really don't know what was worse, the service or the food, really should be negative stars. I've never written a review this long so that should say something... and I also told lots of friends how HORRIBLE it was, which I don't ever remember doing. And the amount of junk scattered all around the restaurant covered in dust and tons of tables not bussed... I'll just end it there. Enjoy the rude, non-existant service, and try not to spit out the food!

Yelp
My daughter suggested this place and it was a great suggestion. Service was great and the place was packed, but we were seated immediately since we were a party of two. It is a lively place not too loud, but definitely not quiet. I love the eclectic decor. Let's get to the food. I ordered the Egg Tower (it was between that and the Madame Cristo, which I will try next time). It is their version of eggs Benedict. It was delicious. That hollandaise sauce was perfect, not too tangy. My husband ordered the Chille Rellenos. It's not your typical Chille Rellenos, a little on the sweeter side but still very good. As for desserts, absolutely great. We got the lime tart and the Napoleon. Both were very very good.

Yelp
I can't stress this enough tower is THE BEST brunch in Sacramento. Their food and service is consistently good! I love how you can sit inside or outside. Their mangonada drink is the Bomb! I love their steak and eggs it is soooo good ! The green sauce is amazing and potatoes are crispy ! Their French toast is Sooo good I always have to get a side. Their steak salad is amazing ! Don't forget to check out their bakery I love the key lime pie

Yelp
This place is great which is why they always have a wait. We waited about 30 mins after they told us 20 mins but it was worth the wait and everyone is so nice. I loved the comfy cozy atmosphere of the decor and felt right at home. The food was delish and we were all really happy with our food! Would we go back, hell yes!!

Yelp
We went to Tower Café this morning to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday, and it was, as always, a fantastic experience. With a big party of 12, we knew arriving early would be best, so we got there right at 8 AM and were seated immediately--no wait at all! This restaurant is a true family favorite for us, and it's easy to see why so many Sacramento locals love it too. The food was delicious and unique, as it always is, and we sat outside under the warm heaters. Even on a cold morning, the heaters worked perfectly, making the experience cozy and enjoyable. Tower Café is such a staple in Sacramento that it feels almost unnecessary to explain its appeal. The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is unmatched, and the overall vibe is something special. If you're visiting Sacramento and haven't tried this spot yet, do yourself a huge favor and check it out. Brunch is especially popular, so plan for a wait if you arrive later in the morning, but trust me--it's absolutely worth it. We've been here many times before, and it's always a memorable meal. Tower Café never disappoints. Five stars!

Yelp
My first time having brunch here. We ate brunch Saturday, Jan 4th at 10am. I was happily surprised that we beat the big rush. Indoor dining was full with no ETA. They offered us a table outside near a heater. We were starving so we took it. The ambiance is amazing outside. The garden is so lush and beautiful. The heater kept us warm on this cool morning. Service was quick. Soon after sitting down they brought us water and not so long after that the waitress showed up. She checked on us a couple of time while we ate. Even though there was a line to get in we weren't rushed. We actually had to ask for the check. I ordered the famous French toast. It was delicious. I loved the peaches and berries on top. There was plenty of whipped butter. I didn't need to use that much with all the syrup they poured on it. I liked the custard. It was soft and a little soggy. I wasn't sure I'd like it soggy, but it was really good. I'd order it again. My husband got the Huevos Rancheros. It looked delicious and the side of potatoes were amazing. Just the right amount of Crispiness. The two tortillas with refried beans were layered instead of next to each other like most restaurants have them. My girlfriend got the Pozole. IT came with an abundance of roasted pork. It was a beautiful display. The sides came on it's own platter: shredded cabbage, radish, lime, cilantro, onion, and tortilla chips. It was a bit overwhelming. She thought it was perfect and lived up to memories of her father in laws Pozole. I look forward to ordering it next time we eat at Tower Cafe. If you want to eat inside you need to arrive before 10am on a Saturday. If you don't mind eating outside 10am is a good time to arrive. You may want to dress warm as it's cool outside even with the heaters. By 11am the place was packed and there was waiting for both inside and outside dining.

Yelp
What an incredible place! It's like being transported to another planet that specializes in the best French Toast you've ever had. I could literally spend hours just walking around looking at all the art work. I recently visited Ripleys Belive It or Not in San Francisco and they didn't have as much to see. Aside from that the service was great and the food was out of this world. The stand outs were the French Toast and the Corn Bread. We also got a massive kids meal of cornmeal pancakes for the little one and they were also delicious. I'm definitely coming back!

Yelp
Tower Café, my all time brunch place! I've been coming to Tower Café for years, and it's consistently a go-to spot for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. This place is always busy, especially during the lunch hour. Keep in mind that they don't take reservations, but they will take your name upon arrival. Depending on the time, the wait can be over an hour. We arrived a little after 1:30 PM and still had a 30-minute wait to be seated, even though it was past peak lunch time. If it's your first visit, the parking lot is conveniently located behind the restaurant. One of my favorite things about Tower Café is the ambiance. During summer and warmer days, the patio is a beautiful spot to dine, offering a relaxing vibe with lush greenery. Inside, the decor is unique, decked out with international-inspired pieces that make the dining experience unique and vibrant. This time, we ordered the Chinese chicken salad paired with a mocha and the borracho burger. Both dishes were good. The Chinese chicken salad was large and portion, and I couldn't even finish half of it. Our waiter was exceptional, checking on us regularly to ensure we were comfortable, which really added to the overall experience. Tower Café is always worth the visit. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Just plan ahead for the potential wait, you won't regret it!

Yelp
In a nutshell; very busy but food's great, really good French toast. Parking may get rather full , but never really had trouble to find parking before. Had a reservation for 2 but where we were seated had a wobbly table unfortunately. Server was nice and never really had issues having water refills and our orders. Food didn't take too long either and was good. Very tomb raider feel to the place as well with all the forest tomb atmosphere to it. Overall was an ok experience even on a rainy day. Caution for the possible long lines though.

Yelp
This place is an amazing brunch spot. Had the petite French Toast plate that came with eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage. Delicious. They are known for their French toast, which are dipped in custard. Service is always friendly and amazing. A big park lot in the back with plenty of space. The food is worth the wait since there is usually a line for brunch.
google avatar

Yelp
It was a Wednesday morning and we got seated right away. I got the Madame Cristo because it caught my eye on the menu--their famous french toast stuffed with ham and cheese, topped with eggs and bechamel sauce, with raspberry chipotle jam on the side. It was warm and gooey and delicious! My favorite part would be the bechamel on top. Our serve was very kind and attentive to our needs. The setting is very unique and fun, think a jungle meets a bar meets a hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant.

Yelp
PORTIONS: filling and hearty PRICE: appropriate SERVICE: table side - fast even during rush AMBIANCE: clean and open, patio is very warm even during fall/winter FLAVORS: Madam cristo - decadent! Delicious! Comforting! It's two meals so for the price it's appropriate! BONUS TIP: parking is all along the back and to the right of the building, private lot
google avatar

Mary S.

Yelp
I've been here with co workers so many times and we all love it-- the real test was bringing my husband here... Of course we had to get the French toast and it was a hit! We also tried the Oaxaca breakfast enchilada. It's a little spicy for breakfast but still has so much flavor!! He wants to go back again and try more items! If you have a friend coming from out of town, this is the spot for fun breakfast/brunch/lunch. You have to visit more than 1 time to try all their menu. FYI: most plates are big enough to share.
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
A beloved Sacramento spot! The interior has a bunch of eclectic decor from floor to ceiling; it kind of feels like you're eating in a cool, eccentric museum of sorts. Service was pretty quick considering how slammed it was; they also have a patio area that was completely full and we never felt like we were waiting too long. We came for brunch and it's a good thing we were hungry - portions are HUGE! We ordered the Polynesian guac and chips; the French Connection; and the Egg Tower (which could easily be split between two people). We also got mimosas and cocktails. Street parking or try the free lot behind the building.

Yelp
Such a bad attitude at the front, don't bother with Tower. I was wanting lunch and had to abandon a different destination at 2 on a Saturday. Saw Tower Cafe and figured I could stand the well known bad service, but I could not. Went to the front, a clearly tired of people hostess asked if I wanted inside or outside, no greeting after I walked up and noted it was just me. I figured inside would be faster since it was just one, like bar seating. Nope, asked for my phone number to text me. I'm not giving you my cell number, the platform you use will sell it. Note to owner, when a customer is hesitant to hand over personal information, offer an alternative. A 'you can wait here if you like and we will let you know when ready' or 'there is a seat available outside now if you like' (there were several) goes a long way to setting the right tone and receiving my business. I said never mind after a long pause and left, hostess seemed very happy at this. So I won't be coming back, ever.
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
It's been awhile since the last time I came here. My experience has not changed! Tower Cafe remains one of my favorite brunch places in Sacramento. Big portions, quality food, amazing service, and calming environment. I love the scenery and vibe they provide. Always very nice to sit outside! We ordered the French toast (a must!!!) and it never disappointments. The eggs Benedict and enchilada de Oaxaca were both very delicious.
google avatar

Kathy M.

Yelp
This is a beautiful restaurant, very vibrant and charming on the inside. I felt the interior had a lot of culture and was very inviting. On a warmer day, the outdoor seating area is quite relaxing. There is a small parking lot behind the location so it's not too hard to find. To get to the front of the restaurant, you'd have to walk through this little "jungle forest" and around a fountain. The food was plentiful and flavorful. I have never had the madame Cristo and I only ate half because I was already full! My friend had the pancakes and they were extremely fluffy! I did not get to try any desserts because I was so full! The service was friendly, but they did put us in around the corner and we were greeted by the server about 13 minutes later. The restroom is gender neutral and was charming itself! Single stall, wide enough for a wheel chair, and had a place to hang your coat and place your belongings on.
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
Tower Cafe is a destination brunch spot next to the historic, Tower Theater. I came for Sunday brunch and was quoted a 45 minute wait. The wait time was accurate, and I appreciated that the host offered drinks in the bar to pass the time. When our table was ready, we were seated inside and waited an additional ten minutes for service. The server was apologetic as she took our orders. I had the blackberry basil margarita and the Louisiana poboy special. Both were excellent! The drink had a great infusion of flavor and tasted strong. The poboy came with a crispy catfish filet finished off with lettuce, tomato, and pickle. Absolutely no complaints with the food, but I wish that Tower took reservations to mitigate the extended wait times.

Yelp
This place was a great dining experience, the decorations and scenery makes you feel like you're in a jungle temple like Rain Forest Cafe which is awesome. The menu was very diverse and had plenty of delicious dishes to choose from. The workers were very nice and helpful seating a large party. And the food overall was pretty good. I got the Crab enchiladas, and they were tasty.

Yelp
Great brunch place, adore the stunning eclectic atmosphere- very beautiful and detailed! So many classic food options, and their drinks are great and greatly priced as well! Got the Tuna Melt, and the holiday French Toast. Left absolutely stuffed. Service is very personable and comfortable as well

Yelp
We had the Devil Dog, Chocolate Cream Pie, and the Pumpkin Spiced Latte. Loved my piece of cake, so rich and delicious!

Yelp
The place is awesome! Went there for first time with a group. Had reservations. The vibes are awesome. Servers were amazing. The burger options are awesome. Definitely a place to visit again. Oh, the desert options, FIRE

Yelp
It's been a few months but from what I recall... this would've been a fun place to do a sit down but with a rowdy (impatient) toddler, we did take out instead. After tasting the food, I can completely understand someone wanting the wait in the cold to eat here. The food was rich and delicious and filling... and the dessert was great. Looking forward to our next trip there
google avatar

Kristi M.

Yelp
My server, Brenda, was friendly and quick despite the place being busy. My garden omelette was delicious, the pumpkin pesto adding just a hint of sweetness in contrast to the salty Swiss cheese. Took a gorgeous looking key lime tartlet to go! The cafe is always a feast for the eyes with its decorations but it is extra special at Christmas time with the lights and tree. I had a great view of the garden patio to enjoy on this cold morning.

Yelp
Came here to eat with my dad. Honestly been here a couple of times and it's always pretty tasty. just really did not like my plate tbh, the raspberry sauce was too liquid and the actual food itself lacked taste :( the potatoes were good. coffee always good and servers always nice! i think it was just not the plate for me!

Yelp
Just breathtaking... the greenery, huge trees and even the weather was beautiful. Their food was so yummy and the best campfire coffee ever. I wish to go back and have this for brunch again. Literally the best place I've visited in Sacramento as a big fan of greenery and delicious omelet!! The people were so friendly and made sure everything was perfect even though the restaurant was packed. I can still taste their food and feel the breeze as I'm typing this right now. Please take me back !!

Yelp
Kelsey is amazing, she has excellent service! We came in for the first for breakfast & it was perfect. I absolutely love the atmosphere, decor and feel of this place. We split the French toast & Poblano Omelette. We also ordered coffee . Everything was delicious. I highly recommend this place . We will be back to try lunch.

Yelp
The food matched the service, phenomenal!!!! I was scared this place was going to lack flavor in their food but the flavor did not disappoint at all! Our waiter Taylor was extremely friendly and answered all of many questions I had as far as recommendations go. Taylor even shared his personal recommendations and suggested I come back for breakfast because unfortunately it's not served all day. For everything we ordered it came out to $130 which is not bad. My surf & turf was $36, the salmon a jerk chicken was $27. The drinks are pretty pricey, they run between $12-$20, mines were $15. Can't believe I been living here for over a decade and never gave it a chance. My father is a regular lol the ambience is chill love the decor and it's great for birthdays, date night, or a casual dinner date. Wish I had room for dessert because my dad said it's to die for!

Yelp
Pretty solid place to come but be prepared for a rush if on the typical Sunday brunch window. Waits can be up to 1-2 hrs but from experience, you can typically get a table sooner. The interior of the restaurant is pretty well done and the menu has quite a bit of variety for whatever you may be craving. I'd highly recommend getting the French toast, and also the tuna melt is a sleeper item. The service was pretty quick once you get the table, and food comes out hot and fresh. I've been here a couple times before and would recommend this spot to others especially if you can avoid the busy windows.

Yelp
Came here for my friends birthday - celebrated a brunch here with a group of 8! The wait was about an hour, the hostess did their best to keep us updated. Once we were seated everything began to flow pretty smoothly. Servicer took drink orders, drinks were delicious, food was ordered, everyone enjoyed their meals!! I ordered the churro French toast and it was AMAZING! It tasted like Disney land.. if that makes sense. My husband ordered the Thai steak and eggs and he enjoyed that very much. We love having brunch here! It's always a great time. :)
google avatar

T R.

Yelp
Food is great. Biggest issue is it's always busy! So plan ahead to spend some time waiting for a table. French toast is dynamite (especially with hand made cinnamon whipped cream). Lots of different styles of food to taste. Eclectic decorations inside. Inside can be loud as there's so the restaurant it ALWAYS packed. Give it a chance. Good food. Great outside seating options.
google avatar

Irina R.

Yelp
Tower cafe is definitely a favorite. The food never disappoints and the beautiful seating area outside makes waiting for the food that much easier because of all the beauty there is to take in. We got the sandwich and burger (add jalapeños $1 and add avocado $1.50) with included potato salad as a side & and additional charge of $1.50 to upgrade to a French onion soup. The server was not as attentive to us but she got the job done. The hot chocolate wasn't $6 worth imo but my husband enjoyed the ghiradelli coffee :)
google avatar

Denise D.

Yelp
Tower Cafe is definitely a 5 Star restaurant! The ambience, food & service all leave nothing out! I am a long time fan and I'm headed there again this week.

Yelp
My friend and I went here on a Saturday around 4:10pm recently and there was no wait! We were allowed to seat ourselves since the restaurant was empty at that time. We ordered the Baja Crab Melt w/ Potato Salad and the Borracho Burger w/ Fries. Then we got our food and I loved how large the portions are since I wasn't expecting that at first. I also loved how stuffed the crab melt was. It's nice how they give you the option to choose what side you want to go with your entree. I knew I had to get the potato salad and I liked how thick it is. I'd recommend this place! I felt the crab melt tasted fresh at first and I liked how stuffed it was. There were times where I wish it had a stronger crab flavor to it, but the burger was good throughout the meal so I'd recommend getting that. The potato salad was very good too!

Yelp
I was visiting Sacramento for a wedding and multiple people recommended this place and I'm glad I went! I ordered the Thai Steak and Eggs and the flavor on the steak was soooo delicious! I wasn't a huge fan of the green sauce that came with it but the steak didn't really need it. Service was pretty good here, the server recommended we just order a whole bottle of champagne vs ordering 3 separate mimosas which ultimately ended up being an extra mimosa for us for the same price! I would definitely come back again!

Yelp
I liked the ambience, out door space with different areas shaded by trees and fountains were relaxing. I got the Madame cristo with over easy eggs which I really enjoyed. It's a nice mix of sweet and savory and fun textures. It's quite big and I had some to take home. My partner got the all weekend special that came with the ham and felt it was too sweet and just ok. Cafe mocha was good. Good service. Overall, would definitely come back for the ambience and the madame cristo.

Yelp
Pretty cool spot with a really cute outside / patio seating area. I had the benedict (I think they called it the Egg Tower?) - it was delicious. I'm a big fan of eggs benedict and try it pretty much everywhere I can find it and this one was definitely one of my favorites. We went in the week of Halloween, so I'm pretty sure the outfit our server was wearing was a costume, although I'm not sure what she was supposed to be. She was really sweet and attentive, the service was great.

Yelp
Overall? If you're into quirky vibes and eclectic settings, this place nails that aesthetic. It's pretty awesome. We visited during the rainy season, but I could see the patio being a solid spot when the weather cooperates. The menu? Definitely intriguing, lots of variety. Service was quick and friendly, no complaints there. But the food? A mixed bag. And the coffee? Yikes I got: Cappuccino (1.5/5): Way too much foam, and not the good velvety kind. This was foam on steroids, spilling out of the cup like it was trying to escape the bad espresso beneath. The milk wasn't creamy or well blended, and the espresso was so acidic it could probably clean your stovetop. A sad cup all around Thai Steak and Eggs (4/5): This dish almost saved the day. The steak had killer flavor, cooked exactly how I wanted, although it did have a bit of that sinewy texture that you just kind of deal with. The eggs were perfect, and the potato/vegetable mix was decent, though I wish the potatoes had a little more crisp. The side of green spice was a touch

Yelp
Interesting and unique decor at this place! Fast and friendly service! There's plenty of seating and their outdoor patio is beautiful. Make sure you order the french toast- it is too die for

Yelp
Great brunch at Tower Cafe! The bright spots: 1. It's beautiful. The patio is lush with fountains and cool nooks. Best patio breakfast lunch spot we have found! 2. While the wait is long they have perfected the comfort-while-you-wait-and-efficiency! Tons of shaded spots to sit and wait, a streamlined text/line setup, and some people got cocktails while they waited! 3. The food was really good. I got the custardy/ baguette French toast and it was incredible. Too rich for me to finish, but that's me. A little soggier in the middle than I enjoy but undeniably a great dish. 4. Service was good! No complaints. Their Benedict is supposed to be amazing so I'm taking my big appetite sons back for that next!

Yelp
Hidden gem! I have been living in Sacramento for almost a year and a half now and I went to the tower café for the first time. I am shocked that I have not been here before! First, I love the innovative menu and the combination of menu items! We ordered the Eggs Tower, Monte Cristo, and drinks! I am going to start with the drinks first because I had something that I have never ended tried before. I ordered the Raspberry Sake drink (I believe it was called a raspberry bloom). The base of the drink was sparkling sake, which was combined with a house-made raspberry syrup. I highly recommend if you like mimosas with a fruitier flavor. The Eggs Tower is an eggs benedict, but the base is cornbread instead of an English Muffin. The different bottom made the texture much more pleasant and the overall dish more flavorable! The Monte Cristo was just as thought as the other dishes but I did not enjoy bechamel sauce on it. It was really thick and kind of bland, which is why I took off one star. The nice thing is the Tower Cafe has nice outdoor seating that is large enough to accommodate groups. There is also parking behind the Tower Cafe in a lot, which makes everything a lot easier!

Yelp
First stop after my guests arrive on the Amtrak train. Always delicious food with excellent service. This visit was before dropping off guests at Amtrak. We only had one hour to dine so we informed our Server who got our order started, served and had check ready (and dessert packaged) with plenty of time to spare! Gotta love Tower Cafe!

Yelp
Food 9/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Cleanness 9/10 Beautifully decorated inside and out Parking may be a hassle due to its popularity next door to a movie theater. Sharing a gem that has been around for decades so don't say I don't share with all my fellow foodies.

Yelp
I really really loved this place. I used to come all the time with friends and we were gonna go this Sunday, but a friend just texted me an article that they received a yellow rating from the health department. Apparently there were some major violations and now I just can't bare to eat there. I have no idea if they fixed The problem, but this place is ripe for you getting food poisoning.

Yelp
We enjoyed the food very much! It was delicious, the chorizo con huevos were on the spicier side but still delish! Just be careful. The monte cristo was flavorful. The ambiance was nice and very colorful!! The server was very sweet and welcoming. Not so much the person that first greeted us and seated us but overall the experience was good and we will come back again soon!

Yelp
Swayed by Yelp reviews, I took a chance on this restaurant. At first glance of the online menu I didn't have high hopes. Rarely does a global menu like the one they offer make much sense or work. When I arrived I curiously pondered the size of this building that that was marked "Tower". Is this entire building the restaurant. But, as I walked up, I realized it was also a movie theatre. The restaurant was right next to it. And then I saw the beautiful greenery surrounded patio. I wanted to sit there on this warm spring day! Seemed so relaxing. I was a party for one so I thought I'd be able to slip right in for a seat. When I got tot he hostess, she told me the wait was one hour. For one? She said maybe 50 min. Other parties around me who had several people in their group were given estimates for 1.5 or more hour waits. GULP! What is this place? Why is it so popular. I ordered a bit extra knowing I'd bring home leftovers. I ordered the vegan Benedict and a French toast. Ok. The eggs Benedict made my eyes roll behind my head in blissful pleasure. People, this was a game changing eggs Benedict. I usually like eggs Benedict but rarely order it because English Muffins bore me. The Tower eggs Benedict is on homemade corn bread with a generous slice of ham. And if you're an egg fan and food smothered in hollandaise sauce, then this is for you! The combination between a gently sweet corn bread topped with salty ham, juicy tomato, an egg blob and the buttery fatness of hollandaise made this dish work. The potatoes were nothing to write home about. I was so satisfied with my Benedict I didn't need the potatoes. Now, let's talk about the French Toast. This was serious French Toast. Also something I never order because I'm not a French Toast fan but for some reason I wanted it on this day. I think it is because the waiter said it's a signature dish. Yeah, yup! It was the bomb! I could only eat a few bites but I now have French Toast leftovers. Happy happy me!

Yelp
Very cute place! It has unique design, the whole setting looks very original! We came on a Sunday morning and they were packed - super busy for breakfast and brunch so be ready to wait. Our server was very friendly and quick. I ordered orange mimosa and tower tuna melt with breakfast potatoes- it was delicious. I liked that they add avocado to tuna melt and use crunchy garlic bread - it adds extra flavor. Overall, very nice experience and I would definitely come back to try more things on the menu.
