Trader Joe’s is a grocery chain store and they are ubiquitous in LA county. This store on Hyperion Ave in Silver Lake. This store is small but it has all the stuff that customers need. It’s clean, well lit, and organized. Staff were affable and professional. Parking lot is almost always full and finding street parking in the area is horrendous. Overall, it’s a popular grocery store in the neighborhood.

Love coming to this Trader Joe’s ! But unfortunately last night after shopping here & grabbing a cereal box I was unaware that it had been eaten by rat or something. Unfortunately I can’t find my receipt to come and exchange this box.

My review base on only flowers I got from this supermarket. Price is good even some of them are damaged. My friend and I have to make over twelve flower vases. It will cost lots of money if we just buy them from a flower shop. We have to recreate a bit, but it is worth.

The entrance to the supermarket is chaos! The intersection is a bit of a nightmare, and the traffic going in and out often blocks the entrance and intersection. The entrance has 3 pillars with flowers in front, which make it difficult to pass with a wheelchair. Some of the cashiers are very quick while others get lost in chit-chat and are a bit slower.

Trader Joe’s is hands down one of my favorite grocery stores! The selection is unique and diverse, with a wide variety of organic, fresh, and ready-to-eat items. Their produce is always top-notch, and I love their frozen food section—so many delicious, quick meal options. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, creating a pleasant shopping experience every time. I appreciate the store's efficient layout, making it easy to find what I need. The prices are reasonable for the quality, and I especially love their seasonal offerings, which always feature exciting and fun products. Whether you’re looking for healthy snacks, new ingredients to try, or just want to stock up on everyday essentials, Trader Joe’s never disappoints! The staff at Trader Joe’s, known for their friendliness, dropped the mask and turned out to be rude and cold when it really mattered. I picked up two dozen eggs, but they refused to sell me both. I explained that one was for my roommate, but they still wouldn’t let me buy the second one. Imagine that—a store refusing to sell its own products…

I love Trader Joe’s products. Usually consistent across all stores. I just moved to this side of town and don’t know where they keep my usual items. I was browsing through the frozen aisle and left my cart on the right side behind an employee cart. There was no employee there. Was very surprised to hear the cart almost hit me on the left side as a worker threw it at me. This also scared the lady behind me. When checking out I asked my cashier where an item was and she rolled her eyes as she told me where to find it. Not sure if I want to go back here. There’s another location about the same distance away with better parking and nicer workers.

This Trader Joe's is always fantastic to come to. I come to this Trader Joe's all the time and it's always such a delight to shop here. Parking is a little crazy at times but the service here is always fantastic. Since it's silver lake you get all the hippest of the hipsters to come shop here.

I LOVE this place. It took me years to get over brand names. Now I avoid them. If you care about the ingredients that you put in your body - reading the labels on products here is a great place to start. Sometimes they are out of regular items. Just be ready. Ask for help and every employee is always willing. Parking can be rough, but try to find a good time. The bathrooms are clean but I swear some people come here to go number 2. At least 6 times for me over the years the person in front of me took care of their business and the olfactory evidence was alarming. Other guests can be rough too... maybe it's just LA but don't let others affect your experience. The staff are all great! Cool people all around. Products that are staples for me - pepperoni pizza is the bomb - green sauce tamales - sliced gouda - gluten free everything bagels (toast them) - clusters cereals - trader joes version of pringles - organic veggies - coconut based ice cream If you have kids - look for the fox for a small reward! If it looks like I am talking to myself - I am not. Trust me. Thank you.

This location, which is my local neighborhood store, is always chaotic inside and out. The parking lot is actually not the worst of all the TJs though IMO. Inside though, there's never a slow time it seems. The cashiers are not friendly, not even a "Happy Holidays" during the Christmas season. The layout has always bugged. I much prefer the West Hollywood location that is near my work mailbox.

Arguably one of the more inconveniently placed Trader Joe's locations, with an anxiety inducing parking lot that can be difficult to get a spot. They have overflow parking right next as well. Location aside! Love shopping here for lunch quickly. This location has been pretty crowded I've found it easier to shop sans shopping cart The employees deserve recognition for keeping a smile and friendly service despite the constant crowds.

It pains me to give a 3 star rating to Trader Joe's. I knew grocery shopping on a Sunday afternoon was a popular time, but I didn't realize just HOW busy it's been at this location. I was cruising around for a parking spot for over 5-10 minutes. The parking lot is also so oddly shaped so you have to be careful when it's full of cars and pedestrians with carts. Turning left to TJs isn't even it's own dedicated lane. Maybe a traffic study needs to be done here... Inside, it was just as hectic. It looks like it's a bigger TJ but not when it's a popular time and there's so many people. TJ staff is always friendly and no issues there. My verdict: save yourself the stress and only come to this location during very off-peak times.

GET SOMEONE TO MONITOR THE PARKING LOT. People literally don't know what the F they're doing, making it extremely dangerous for cars and pedestrians.

Jeremy at the Westfield Fox Hills location, in Culver City asked for a receipt for my return. Is this a new policy?? The items returned were authentic Trader Joe's merchandise, nothing generic that wasn't clearly labeled "Trader Joes"!

The best Trader Joe's location! Every time I come looking for just something I leave with at least two full bags bc their products are just perfect!!! the staff is absolutely amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help / have a good talk. From the moment I walk in, I feel welcome and supported. TJs is just the best!

Trader Joe's has the best prices for flowers ... better deals than any place. I came by a few days ago to pick up some flowers for my birthday and I want to say thank you to Alma. She was amazing. I asked for a few recommendations with my color theme and she dedicated a good amount of time to help me select the most beautiful roses. She was so kind and patient with me and knowledgeable about which flowers to pick. I also saw how she was replacing the old flowers with new ones to give customers a fresh selection of flowers. I am grateful to experience great service at Trader Joe's. In general the staff at Trader Joe's at any store are always amazing and helpful but Alma was very special and did above and beyond what I have ever experienced at the store. Thank you Trader Joe's for always providing great service. Will definitely recommend your store for flower purchases.

A good Trader Joe's, they stock a lot of things but not everything. I had a question about an item and woman named Mondo helped me out and even went the extra mile to find me in the store and give me information about the item. Great customer service, give her a raise! Bring back the Montezuma chocolate bars! They are the best! I'm going through withdrawals :(

The grocery store is located conveniently off the freeway, and it has a private parking lot right in front of the establishment. It's very packed inside, hard to find parking spots and crowded during weekends. The cashiers are super friendly and very helpful at checkout.

The market itself and the staff are amazing 5/5 stars. But it's their location that's an issue for me. It's not just the disjointed parking lots but their location. With this in mind when you do go try to avoid high traffic times. The best advice I can give is go at opening on a Sunday.

This location is in Silver Lake, across from Gelson's. Parking is the main issue here. There is street metered parking: 2-hour 8 AM-8 PM except Sunday. They have a small lot, but it's hard to find a spot. People are so nice here! Not surprising about Trader Joe's, but there's a reason this location is popular. People like shopping here! I found ingredients to satisfy my Italian food cravings!

Staff is always AMAZING But the parking lots have literally caused anxiety attacks. Yes they have 2 lots but the 2nd one is often full and then you cant (or at least aren't supposed to) make a left back onto Hyperion to try the main lot again.

Your parking lots are the absolute worst in all of LA:( The wait times are atrocious and people shopping there are just dicks truly!

I can shop at other grocery stores and get better deals, but there's something about Trader Joe's items that I just can't help myself but to come and shop here occasionally. LOVE their ready made entrees where I can just pop it into the microwave for a quick and nutritious meal. Yummy ice cream like Cookie Butter and their prepackaged individual servings o raw almonds or other raw nuts. There's usually a line due to they are limiting the number of customers in their store which is understandable and much appreciated. They spray your hands with sanitizer which smells nice before you enter the store. I liked how at the checkout stand they sanitize between customers which I don't see at other grocery stores. Plenty of free parking.

Shoutout to Silver Lake's Trader Joe's and the essential workers who are out in the front lines during this time. This is the closest TJ to me and on my recent visit, I have nothing but positives to say about this place. I went close to closing on a Friyay night, so a lot of the popular items were not available, ube ice cream and pancakes, I'm looking at you. Overall, I did find most of the things on my shopping list and I was super appreciative of how helpful and kind the staff were. They went out of their way to make sure I had a great experience and they are absolute amazeballs. It was not just one employee, but it was every single employee I interacted with. Additionally, I think the fact that they offer sanitizing wipes and an option to disinfect your hands was absolutely terrific. Everyone had masks and face shields, and I just felt safe. They have set the standard of how a grocery store experience should be during these times. Although I did find the sanitizing wipes after my visit, it was still helpful to have. Quick note, baking is especially popular right now, so I would probably visit early in the morning in hopes they have the ingredients I need to make my bomb recipes. P.S. There are also so many articles about the must-have items at Trader Joe's, and I'm including some in the pics.

Been shopping here almost 2 years. This is the worst Trader Joe's I've ever been to. Rude staff (Becca) is aggressive & rude & confrontational. Parking lot is a nightmare, and there are always people out front collecting money for scam causes. There is a hill out back where I take my dog while my wife shops. Been doing this for almost 2 years. Today when I came down, a very aggressive Becca confronted me & told me that hill was only for Trader Joe's employees. I said ok but there was no need to be so rude & aggressive. I went back to my car & waited. She then brought her manager out who confronted me while I was sitting in my car waiting. Her manager was also aggressive and confrontational. He looks and acts extremely unprofessional. Why don't they regulate homeless people or scammers in the parking lot, yet they regulate the empty hill out back?? This staff is not up to the Trader Joe's standard and provides the worst parking experience in L.A. Stay away unless you need something here.

We stopped in here twice during our visit to LA. We visited during the weekend and the store was packed. We were able to find everything we needed. I bought a 1.5 liter bottle of water and they charged 10 cents bottle deposit for each bottle. The staff were friendly and helpful. Be sure to bring your bags or pay 10 cents for a bag.

This is literally the only place I buy food from. Many thanks to the wonderful Joe and his team.

I never recommended the store, because it didn't need it. It feels busy 24 seven. Even if it's not open 24 seven. The last few times I've been in, and mind you I've been shopping here for 28 years, the vibe has changed. The newer employees do not engage with you the way employees of the past have. This, in my opinion, has always been something I loved about Trader Joe's as I I have been shopping at Trader Joe's at large the better part of my life. I don't know if it's new training or just a generational difference, but the lack of engagement takes away the neighborhood feel of the market. Which is something I've always enjoyed and frankly, I probably took for granted until my recent experiences. It's a shame, but I'll be willing to drive further to find a Trader Joe's that has that feel. This Trader Joe's store is not worth the inconvenience of its location and popularity, without the friendly neighborhood feel.

C'mon Trader Joe's! Make a system! I stood right in front of a register with 5 items in my hands, no basket or cart. Waited for the guy at the register to turn around and help me, he's a tall husky middle-aged guy with a long white beard. Instead of helping me, he tells me that he had already called over a woman with a FULL basket! She couldn't wait for 5 hand held items? Wow. Obviously I told him he was rude (he didn't respond) and I went to another cashier. That cashier was sympathetic but said there's no system. So figure it out TJs! Either tell your cashiers to help the person right in front of them, or make up some silly rule about when you call people over to your register they get to go first. I love your food but I'm not about to put up with a rude cashier! And since Yelp wants food reviews... I purchased the avocado tzatziki dip, which I love, along with garlic naan crackers. The crackers taste great and have the texture of saltines. Also pea and chickpea crisps, which seem air popped almost and taste neutral. Def for dipping. The Green Goddess dip is new to me and way too strong. Tatses like dressing, dip should be milder since you're typically consuming more of it on a chip or cracker. Haven't used the Blondie mix yet. But again, make a system!

This Trader Joes is the not only the best branch one but I dare say best market in the city. Every employee is polite and helpful. I have not experienced a bad moment here ever. The first time I knew this place was the best was when during covid in the hot summer they put up shade through out the long line of customers waiting their turn. They also offered free cold water for people waiting, these people are angels. They even had disinfectant spray to hose down the shopping carts. They really put Ikea to shame since even though they did put up shades for people, Ikea was charging for the water..... Come to this Trader Joes they are the best in customer service.

I always enjoy shopping at TJ's. This location is the one in m neighborhood. I come here often and only now am writing a review somehow. Anyway, I come here for a number of things. Some of the regular items include the following: - chicken apple sausage - frozen eggplant cutlets - Japanese fried rice (frozen) - dumplings (frozen) - strawberries - blackberries - blueberries - eggs - nonfat milk - cheeses - soy milk - veggies - a variety of produce - cereals - cranberry orange bread - cream cheese - alcohol for parties - other small gifts I have been shopping here for years and have come to recognize some of the workers here. I also have a family friend who had been working here. So, it was always especially nice to see them here. Since the shooting, I'm not so sure he works here any longer. I'm not sure. I always get great service here and folks are usually so friendly. Parking can be atrocious but if you go early early in the AM or if you're patient and manage to make it to the back of the building, there are usually plenty of spots. It's usually the customers that aren't the friendliest, both inside and outside of the store. I appreciate the store always being clean and pretty organized. The cashiers are always on top of things and this just seems like a great place to work. Everyone is so happy, positive and kind.

It's outright negligent that this Trader Joe's management has done nothing to address the parking lot chaos. I have seen so many road rage incidents, so many accidents, so many close calls with pedestrians being backed into or actually hit. I cant believe no lawsuits have been filed yet, although maybe they have. The business does nothing but continue to put it's customers at risk.

I could shop at any Trader Joe's. Considering I live in Koreatown, there are 4 within passable distance from my home. I CHOOSE to shop at the Silverlake store for one main reason: The staff and the clientele that shop there. I've never gotten a "vibe" from a grocery store, but this one has an incredible vibe. There is a relaxed and friendly vibe that extends to the people that work there and shop there. It literally makes my weekly trip to market enjoyable. As far a products, it's what you'd expect from Trader Joe's good quality food items at a price that beats the big Supermarkets. Plus they have an array of items that supermarkets don't carry (namely there incredible salad dressings, and the pre cooked lentils). Also a good selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. More importantly for me personally, as exceptional choice of ingredients to make some of favorite vegan dishes. Bravo Trader Joe's Silverlake!

My go to place for snacks and grocery shopping. Always finding new and improved things. They have the best Almond milk that I use for smoothies! Hands down the best !

I absolutely love this place! They have the best deals and if you're busy like me with no time to cook, or an inability to cook well, then have no fear because they have tons of healthy and tasty premade meals in the frozen food section and in the cold food areas. They also have the best prices, I always end up spending 30+ more dollars whenever I shop at other grocery stores. My favorite part is trying all of the new seasonal items they have every few months! They're constantly putting out new and interesting food that you cannot find anywhere else. The only down side to this TJs is the parking. It's very busy all the time and the traffic around this area is non stop, and the small parking lot doesn't help. So sometimes it takes 10 minutes just to get into the parking lot and find parking. You could try to find neighborhood parking, but even the neighborhood usually has packed streets. Even though parking is a hassle, I still come here to shop because it's the best!

Too bad Trader Joe does not exist in Hawaii. Interesting how this store uses the Hawaiian theme. When we lived on the Mainland, we loved coming to Trader Joe's. Of all the places we have been to, Trader Joe's provides the most cost effective products around. Not too pricy, students, families, young adults, older people come to Trader Joe's. This store offers practical products like soap, detergent, non alcoholic (and alcoholic) beverages, food, vegetables, fruits, cleaning products. The list goes on. When we returned to Hawaii, I felt a bit lost knowing we don't have a Trader Joe's near us or even on the island. We do have Whole Foods. But it falls into the pricy category. Only time will tell if Trader Joe's will eventually come to Hawaii. We can wish it to come true!

I love all Trader Joe's! Everyone seems happy at work here and they're all very helpful when it comes to finding new items. They're always going above other grocery stores when it comes to the good service!

Whats not to love about Trader Joe's except um, they're Hawaii themed but they have none in Hawaii and also they have no Trader Joe's T-Shirts for Sale.. But yeah I live in Hawaii so I got withdrawal from their great products and convenience, so it's a must visit when in the mainland. We picked up some of our favorite brand beverages, sampled their free coffee and got some nice lunch and snacking items to drive down those daytime cost when vacationing and hitting up museums. Ideal if you're gonna hit a beach or park.

Trader Joe's is not hipster, Hipsters just love Trader Joe's. Southern California's best alternative to a supermarket. It's limited selection is designed perfect. Sometimes you just don't need ten different kinds of canned tuna. No self check-out, and an extremely friendly staff makes shopping here fun and exciting, and this location seems to have all the pretty people shopping here. (Definite plus )

This place has the groceries I need at a wonderful price, but it's not sure it's worth it. The parking lot is a nightmare. I'd rather go to the Burbank walmart, and if you've been there, you know that place is purgatory. I was gritting my teeth inside this store the entire time I was in there. It was packed and anxiety inducing. The employees were calm cool and collected and I have no idea how. That place is terrifying.

Located in Silverlake, this Trader Joe's carries the usual mix of goodies and groceries that makes this chain quite popular. It's located on Hyperion Avenue (right across from a Gelson's), and if I lived closer to it, I would definitely walk to it for one main reason: the dreadful parking situation. Compared to other Trader Joe's branches I've been to, the parking lot here feels fairly tiny; if you come during peak times, be prepared to wait for a space to open up (or you could see if there's street parking nearby if things are quite hectic). However, despite the parking headaches, the lines move quickly here. They have a lot of registers, and I've never had to wait too long to checkout. The cashiers are friendly, and while some items can be pricey, there are a lot of goods that are priced for a low-to-moderate budget.

Well, it's Trader Joes. Painfully narrow isle and really helpful staff. Parking is a horror and keeps me away at times. Still, for such a small store, they cram a lot of what I love into it. Checkout is rarely much of a wait, but it can be. The frozen selections are pretty great, gotta day they have some goodies! If you can avoid weekends and after 4, I'd say this is a must go. I'm glad they are here.

I love this TJ. Friendly workers, they have most products that I enjoy. Except that within the last few years since the starts of COVID TJ products have been inching up in sodium and sugar content. Their low sodium products have been on production delays for a long time. They have also discontinued their low sugar dessert bar. So when I need certain low sodium items, I am forced to shop at TJ competitor Whole Foods. An example of what they have disconnected is their Cold Brew Latte Dessert Bar. I love this product, the taste, the size and most of all the low sugar content 7g per 1.75 fl oz bar seems to be all natural ingredients. Real sugar instead of the crappy Stevia and other man made sweetener. I used to eat one bar each night for dessert. So you can imagine how disappointed I was when TJ disconnected the product. Hope they will bring it back this product instead of the unhealthy substitutes (9 grams and more sugar per bar) that are way too sweet for my liking.

Never one to fault a Trader Joe's, I'll just say this one fits a lot in in a small footprint and I admire their space-efficiency. The tone here is very hipster-ish. The cashiers are breezy. Nothing too offensive about this place at all, although I did feel it was very bourgeois when I first came here. Bike rack outside makes it easy to shop securely.

Why anyone would go here on a Sunday is beyond me. The line is out the door. Aside from that, what can I say? It's trader fucking joes man.

Trader Joe's is always known for its excellent staff and customer service, but I will forever be especially grateful for the help I received today from Johnny and Perry. After shopping I had loaded up my car and realized I had a flat tire. It was my first flat, and Johnny from your staff saw that I was struggling and came over to change the tire with the help of Perry so that I could make it back home safely. I cannot thank them enough. It was above and beyond, and was a much appreciated act of kindness. Thank you both again!

I've been going to this location for years, I'm here on a weekly basis. What can I say, sometimes even if I'm on the other side of town and closer to another location, I still find myself driving back to this little gem on Hyperion. I love all Trader Joe's but this one holds a special place in my heart. Everyone is just extra kind and chill. Yes parking can be mildly stressful and similar to a game of Tetris, yes even the 2nd secret parking lot can be just as packed, and yes, you may wonder how it can be packed at all hours of the day and wonder if anyone in Silverlake even works anymore (which I find if you go in the AM before 11AM, you can beat some of the congestion.) But, it's all worth it, the selection is always good, if something you love is good, the staff will take time to track it down for you or give you an update of when it'll be restocked. I've never ever had a bad experience here. I am a little bummed that closing went from 10pm to 9pm, but I'm sure the workers like it way more so it's all good. :)

I like shopping at trader joes, but this location is always too crowded and it is difficult to park. Besides that I was kind of put off by all of the bearded people wearing second hand clothes. Hate to be kind of the fashion police here, but people should try to look more decent when they leave the house. Silver lake often has that vibe, a kind of dirty hair don't care vibe, and Im not having it. The food selection is the same as any other trader joes, service is great as usual, and everything is clean and orderly despite the busy store.
