Marsupino 1901

"The Marsupino family has been running this trattoria enthusiastically and warmly since 1901. The chef's suggestion pays homage to the territory in accordance with tradition and the wine cellar, managed by the friendly expert Luca, is immense, with an excellent choice by the glass. Five rooms and two suites in the adjacent late nineteenth-century palazzo." - Michelin Inspector

The Best Places to Eat in Italy's Piedmont Region | Bon Appétit

"A family‑run trattoria in the small town of Briaglia that has operated since 1901 and is now run by brothers Matteo and Luca; it showcases a younger, freer approach to regional cooking, maintains a well‑stocked wine cellar, offers agriturismo‑style lodging upstairs, and is known for fried tripe that is crispy, delicate, and melts in the mouth." - ByStefano Secchi

We stopped on our way back from the mountains with two overtired two years old. They took us in and immediately set up a comfortable space for us and the girls. Thanks to the staff's patience and swift service, we were able to enjoy a full meal as we hadn't been able to do in a long time, and what meal! from The home made grissini to the finely flavored desserts, this place serves excellent traditional cuisine with a tasteful modern twist that enhances and never overpowers the taste of carefully selected ingredients. A must try in the area!

This was my third time eating here during the past decade. The restaurant has fallen significantly. Service was consistently lacking with a 30 min wait after seating to take an order, wait staff who were not available when needed, confusion about what was ordered and a general lack of attentiveness that was really unexpected. The 76 page wine list was not available except on the tiny screen of a cell phone. I found the serving sizes to be very small. The food was very good to excellent and the deserts were outstanding. Unless I hear that they have significantly improved I will not be going back nor recommending to a friend.

I have no words to describe this magical place. In the heart of Piemonte region, a small town called Mondovì Is the home of this amazing hotel and old restaurant. The food is amazing, the wine selection is stunning ! And the service is beyond compare !!! Must visit if in this part of Italy

From a UK perspective you need to be determined to get here by car en route from central Italy - taking the totally bonkers A6 autostrada - but it is worth it. The rooms are delightful, the views stunning, and the food is excellent. A romantic treat.

I have stayed here twice, both times over 5 years ago. I will be visiting Bologna in two weeks and will make a separate trip just to return to this wonderful place. It is located in the country, on a quiet street. The two rooms I stayed in were very comfortable, quiet, great bathrooms. The breakfast served was one of the best I've had in my 10 trips to Italy. Everything homemade, james, breads, etc. The restaurant...Wow. Everything was simply perfect. I dined solo and did not feel out of place. I stumbled on Trattoria Marsupino about 10 years ago when I drove around outside Cuneo looking for a place to stay. I stumbled upon it, not knowing that it was a highly regarded restaurant - my lucky day.

Ratio Price / Quality is exceptional! A Bed and Breakfast with all home products but the secret of this location lies in its Restaurant which is at a Very high Level of Quality cuisine indeed. People come from far and Turin and Savona to eat here at the reason is obvious. A family run business who treat you as thier counsins and most important guest in the same time. Will come back to dine or sleep whenever in the area.

Excellent flavors, service and wine suggestions. The duck ravioli and the fresh tomato puree with cuttlefish were off the chart. The cod with truffle sauce also amazed, the cod was rare and moist, melting in your mouth.

Always a creative menu from owner and chef Pier with seasonal dishes presented beautifully. They have an exceptional wine cellar with resident wine expert Lucca to help you pair the best with each course. The desserts are also inventive and delicious. Trattoria Marsupino is our favorite restaurant!

Yelp
This was excellent. We got the squid with stuffed zucchini blossoms, gnocchi in an amazing garlic sauce, tagliatelle with ragu, steak with grilled vegetables, one of the very best cheese plates I've had in Italy, and two desserts: the warm chocolate cake and olive oil sorbet. We liked everything with the biggest standouts being the tagliatelle (maybe the best version we had in Piedmont), the sauce on the gnocchi, and that amazing cheese plate.
