Our favorite italian restaurant! My boyfriend and I have gone here a few times for special occasions and it never fails to satisfy. Best lasagne I’ve ever had. Yes it’s a little pricey but it’s so so worth it if you have the budget. The outside seating is beautiful too. It was so good I forgot to take a picture beforhand

This is our second time coming here, and every time we come it never fails to satisfy. We were greeted by Francesco, he is very kind and warm and welcomed us in as family. The food was surpassed our expectations again. It’s the perfect portion size that fills you up, but doesn’t make you feel bloated and acidy. After our appetizers and drinks I still felt light despite being comfortably full. The food was well crafted and tasted like a recipe that has been passed down for generations. We hope to come here more often and experience their live music and wine tastings. PSA for those complaining about the price: Olive Garden is in the next parking lot over.

I seldom go out for homemade / house-made pasta, but I'm glad I did come here. There's a certain texture to the pasta that can't be compared to store-bought. I tried the spaghetti and the dish came with a generous number of large meatballs. Very tasty! I ended the meal with tiramisu. It came in a larger-than-expected cup, so that was a welcome surprise. Overall, the food was good, and the service was patient and attentive. Give them a try!

I ordered the special, which was a steak with pasta of your choice for $70. The steak was cooked well, melts in your mouth, but for some reason, the steak had A1 sauce on it??? Like what possessed the chef to put A1 sauce, the cheapest of sauces, on this expensive cut of steak? It just made the combined flavors clash in my mouth. The rest of the food my family ordered had small portion sizes. They finished eating in less than 10 min. The taste was also lacking, especially for the price. Also, they didn't even offer us complimentary bread or something as we waited.

Google
The good stuff first: Excellent service and a upscale ambiance. The food was not as expected. We may be spoiled with the prep of Penn Cove mussels in the PNW...the serving here was below average. Overdone and tough, small size with many empty shells. The broth was minimal...not much for bread dipping. Regarding thev linguine prawns dish: ample serving, prawns were done just right, pasta was perfect, sauce? Interesting flavors and oily consistency. Just might be a matter of taste. Oh yes, the owner stopped by to chat...a nice personal touch.

Google
Came here on a recommendation today. We found a quiet, intimate Italian atmosphere with soft lighting and tonight, Frank Sinatra music is playing. The food was absolutely delicious. We loved the fact that all the pasta is homemade. Try the Lasagna with red and saffron white 4 cheese sauce. Enough for 2 to share as we did! The Lemonchello gelato topped in meringue crumbles was amazingly light and yet still very decadent. A MUST try!! Great service from the minute we came in! We found a new favorite place in Temecula! We will definitely be back! What a hidden gem!!

Google
Best Italian food in town. Staff are very helpful and kind. Love supporting a small local restaurant with the heart of the owner clearly there - in spirit and in the flesh! Expect to spend a bit when you go, but it's well worth it. :)

Google
First time here and it didn’t disappoint. The octopus was amazing, raviolis were excellent and the service was perfect, with great wine pairing suggestions. We’ve been to Italy multiple times and this place is the closest thing to true Italian food here in Temecula. Highly recommend.

Yelp
The Best Restaurant in Temecula. Pietro, the chef from Sardinia made a special dish for my Husband. Steak tartar it was the best steak tartar I've ever had in my life, on top of it he did carbonara, that blew me out of the water. Pietro cooks from his heart. He's hands on.I highly recommend this restaurant. I came from LA with restaurants like Cipriani, Pietro blew me out of the water tonight! If you wanna taste real Italian food head to Trattoria Toscana. You will pleasantly surprised with the best food ever, farm to table excellence with quality staff and impeccable ambience , thank you, Pietro I am forever grateful to you for granting a wish for my European husband to have steak tartar !!!!

Yelp
How has this place not been discovered? Another off the charts dinner tonight. Martinis Filet Carpaccio (Fresh) pasta carbonara (Fresh) eggplant parmigiana ravioli with basil marinara Killer.

Yelp
This is a nice, Italian restaurant to take your adult family and friends. The kiddos felt restrained here lol servers were friendly enough... I highly recommend the calamari! I was very disappointed with the Carbonara. It was mushy and very salty. I'm still on the lookout for a good Carbonara. Prices were okay...

Yelp
We haven't been here in about a YEAR or so and it seems like the FOOD has changed or did the CHEF change? First of all, the SERVICE was an A++++++++++++++++ SPAGHETTI with MEATBALLS: Was my hubby's all time favorite but, he said the noodles were UNDER COOKED so ......4/5 STARS..... LOBSTER and SHRIMP RAVIOLI: I regret to say that I didn't enjoy this dish. The stuffing was very fishy. The texture of the ravioli felt slimy and smooth almost like a dumpling. There just wasn't enough flavor so.....3/5 STARS....... MINESTRONE: Was surprisingly and interestingly good. It did not have a lot of tomato base in the soup but, it had more of a bean and vegetable flavor with a hint of spice...so this dish was the STAR of the SHOW 4.5/5........ I LOVE Italian food so I hope they can continue to thrive... BEST WISHES TRATTORIA TOSCANA!

Brandon M.

Yelp
Atmosphere: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Taste of food: 3 stars Price for food: 1 star. Very nice looking restaurant. Staff is very friendly and professional. Food was just okay. I tend to like more traditional Italian flavors. This seems to be more "experimental" in flavoring if that makes any sense. And I'm not trying to knock on the chef or anything, because they are a way better cook than me. I feel the value of what you get is what really makes this place not for me. But that is just my opinion and according to all the other reviewers, there are probably a lot of people that disagree with me. I hope this place continues to do well because I like to support small businesses. That being said, this Italian joint won't be my go to....

Yelp
Love that the pastas are all home made. The gnocchi was the best I've ever tried. So light & melts in your mouth. I kinda wished the sauce had more flavor, but my husband thought it was perfect. The popular fungi pasta could've had more mushrooms in it. But I still enjoyed it. My husband thought the spaghetti sauce was just ok but thought the meatballs were really good. He wasn't a fan of the texture of the spaghetti noodles, thought it was a little gummy or sticky. Maybe it was undercooked? We also weren't impressed with the tomato sauce, just wasn't very good. We had a nice live band on a Saturday evening. Service was ok, but I know they were extremely busy and the restaurant was packed. But we appreciated them sitting us right away. Do make reservations since they can get very full.

Yelp
Sunday, 9/22/2024: We came here to celebrate my brother's birthday with a party of 8 consisting of family & friends. We were greeted warmly & seated right away. We love how it's decorated! You feel as if you're transported to Europe! We were waiting to hear an accordion play & Connie Francis's rendition of O Sole Mio! I know, it's a different region! It was playing in my mind. Our server Joey introduced herself & we were so amazingly surprised to see Francesca here, who was one of our favorite waitresses from another eatery! She recognized us straight away! It was so nice to see a familiar, lovely face! She is a phenomenal worker! Francesca was training with Joey & we knew we were in reliable & efficient hands! The food is stellar! There are no bad dishes here. The servings are generous and I needed to take some of my eggplant parmigiana home. The salad & meatballs were divine! I was so full as the rest of us that we didn't have room for desserts! Our lovely, thoughtful servers offered a tiramisu with a candle for my brother & we sang HBD! He was full so I had a taste (yummy!) and hubby gobbled it up. Our grandson devoured his pasta & the chocolate covered spumoni! It was a great dining experience, which we will likely repeat in the near future. Thanks to Joey & Francesca for making the evening special and kudos to the chef for the amazing food!

Yelp
Wow! Everything was delicious! I highly recommend the Caprese salad and the homemade pasta. The ravioli special was artichoke burrata, which was out of this world. Our waitress Christina was phenomenal. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Came here for a company dinner and have nothing but great things to say about this hidden gem. Ordered the calamari, aperol spritz (probably the best I've ever had), ceasar salad (homemade dressing) and a pasta dish added shrimp. I'm not a huge pasta person but if it's made in house pasta and the owner is straight from Italy I had to try it. Was so pleased with my dish, perfect al dente plus mushrooms and light cream sauce. Definitely would love to revisit and dine again. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Valentine's Day was my husband's and I first time here. We were both excited to check another local Italian restaurant off of our local visit list due to yelp reviews. For our Valentines date- He was able to secure a remaining spot at the bar for our prepaid $130 a person via Opentable. He thought I'd be angry -what the price- but he forgets- for food I'll gladly spend money lol. I thought The gesture was very sweet as we have never done prepaid anything- so this was another first for us. Anywho- we started off worried as we were walking in - because another younger couple very loudly proclaimed that the place "sucked" as they walked out and to their car. And as we proceeded to walk into the very busy restaurant entryway - we continued to be worried. The door would remain open and many other couples would continue to come and stood in a long line for their reservations. We lucked out by being able to find a spot to sit and wait on their one and only waiting area bench. My husband would later tell me this took away from the specialness of the night- feeling like we were just another number. The feeling the restaurant gave was a rushed and perhaps overbooked to the limit feeling. We were told after checking in they would get us at the bar "as close to" our 7pm reservation time as possible as we were a few minutes early and the people at the bar seemed to have no end time in sight. Even if the time limit of 90 minutes per table were stated on signs at entry. Things started to look up as we were sat at a regular high table in the lounge area very close to our reservation time. Seeing as I knew we booked the bar area (right in front of bartender)- I felt this was a nice last minute change to a table. The rest of the night went seamless as courses were brought out for us in a timely manner by our friendly waitress- wish I had caught her name because she may have been the only one with pleasant service judging from other reviews. I enjoyed my small but albeit well presented dishes what with the exception of the small two scallops (which could benefit from 2 or 3 more to be a solid appetizer size for me) & the cold breeze that would hit me from behind from time to time due to the restaurant door staying open due to the long lines of other couples. I didn't envy them. For food- My husband and I enjoyed a choice of each item on the 5 course menu. We both had a Prosecco glass to start. My choices were the fish soup, wrapped scallops, wagyu steak, shrimp and lobster ravioli and for dessert- the tiramisu. The only dish I could say stood out for me in the slightest was the fish soup as it was very hearty and good seafood flavor. For drinks I liked the strawberry fizz cocktail that was recommended to me. Would definitely skip the Italian margarita next time as it was too bitter for my taste. My husband choices were: fava bean soup, carpaccio filet mignon, 10oz wagyu steak, artichoke ravioli and for dessert had tiramisu as well. He was not a particular fan of any thing he ordered as he is very much an ambiance person and I think the rushed and packed nature of the night took away from his enjoyment. He did say the Wagyu steak was too thin for his taste and not particularly flavorful and that we have definitely had better carpaccio. But I am curious to see what a regular night would feel like and if it would make us reconsider how we feel about their food. We may return if just to satisfy my curiosity on how the food is on a not-so-busy night. 2 star due to sardine like nature of the night / and the value for what we paid for and received. Not worth 260 for us plus gratuities in my opinion.

Yelp
I truly dislike writing bad reviews; especially for small businesses. THIS REVIEW UNFORTUNATELY IS SPECIFICALLY FOR VALENTINES DAY DINNER 2025!!!!! We chose to try this restaurant based off the good reviews and photos of inside, food & drinks to celebrate Valentines. We prepaid on open table $130/per person for their pre fixe 5 course menu. On the reservation it noted all service charges & taxes were included. $260 upfront, pretty normal for a memorable and quality meal on one of the busiest days in the restaurant business. We split a bottle of wine, and ordered another 2 beverages with desert (which took over 2 hours; this is up there with some of the slowest service we have ever had) We had to remind our server that the 4th course was missed (table next to us had the same issue and left upset and unsatisfied for similar issues we ran into) The drink ordered with desert was a mixed wine cocktail, not mixed well and maybe 3/4 of the serving. Not even palatable. We watched multiple patrons battle the same issues and concerns that we did. In 20+ years with my husband I have never once said let's just walk out He had to proceed to walk the manager through the order in which to charge us for the appropriate items in the POS. They had to call the accounting department to decipher the verbiage in regards to the prepaid fees. 3 hours later, we left unsatisfied, bad taste in our mouths, all around just MEH If you're thinking of trying this spot for a special occasion.... Just DONT Side note; line out the door for reservations in the cold with no hostess to greet for over 10 minutes!

Yelp
Trattoria is a fabulous place to dine. From the service to the food it is all great. Located in Temecula it is a nice place to go if you are in town. Parking is easy. The eatery and outdoors is spotless, this is our second visit. We love everything about it. The service is amazing. The staff knows their menu and will help you. They are attentive and caring. We did not have wine, but they have a huge wine list. The food is great. We had Gnocchi Alla Gorgonzola, which is House-made potato dumplings in a creamy Gorgonzola sauce at about 27$. We loved the Risotto mixed with red cabbage, and house-made sausage, and Parmigiano. Also try the House-made bucatini tossed in tomato sauce with imported Italian Pancetta and aged Pecorino cheese which is so good at about 28$. Their ravioli, which is all hand made is stuffed with filet mignon, served in a creamy Gorgonzola sauce. it is very rich, but so so good. Their veal in a white wine sauce with mushrooms is super tender and so wonderful. The deserts are all great and we love their coffee. This is a fine dinning eatery so please don't come in cargo pants. Have a wonderful dinner. Reservations needed.

Yelp
EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING !!! The food was exquisite from taste to setting. When I tell you guys it was all homemade or made from scratch I mean just that! And you can seriously taste the authenticity . The service as top tear I wish I could recall his name so I could shot him out . Would definitely recommend and also will be back for another friend date night .

Yelp
The Cesar dressing is amazing that's so important to me! The croutons need work are so small and barley got any. I ordered a side of anchovies, but they only gave me 4 tiny pieces for four dollars. That's a bit pricey They make the dressing here and the pasta is all homemade too. This is a real Italian restaurant. Even the the wine is all Italian! The gnocchi four cheese pasta is the BEST I ever had! and flavorful warm and creamy! The Tutu mar is flavorful anthe clams are very fresh but there wasn't a bunch of pieces of different fish like we were told Quick reviews just for you

Yelp
I had a question about the bill and when I inquired about it the manager was extremely rude and just said that I ordered the $95 steak!! I would have never ordered it if I knew it was $95 for a mediocre steak with side of pasta.

Yelp
I have to admit, I thought this was going to be a bad experience. I arrived 15 minutes before my reservation time and there were two parties ahead of me. It appeared they have been waiting awhile because there was no sign of any host. A good 8 minutes passed before I made my way to find a staff member. The assigned host was also busy cleaning up tables before he was able to help the party before me. Shortly after, the party before me walked out. I didn't have any high hopes for a timely arrival of service and food. However, I was mistaken. Natalia was our server and took really good care of us. She was thorough in her explanation of items and kept a very professional attitude despite how busy it was. The food arrived in a timely manner and was well presented. If you're watching what you eat, I suggest ordering the Insalata di Spinach. Refer to my photo. The portion was generous and delicious. I would definitely come back here again.

Yelp
This is the GEM of Temecula! Read the reviews and went to see for myself. The food is made from scratch, all made in house. The staff was extremely courteous especially our server Nicole. The food is AMAZING! Keep in mind, this is not fast food or heated up frozen dishes. We met with the owner/ chef PIETRO and discussed some of what folks had said. He apologized that anyone would have had a bad experience. He is very passionate about his Italian heritage, food passed down generations, and WINE! I had the Ravioli Filet, best Ravioli pasta dish! ALL of our dishes were amazing. So much so, that we went back the next night! Chef was excited to see us and asked if he could bring us special dishes paired with wine. We of course accepted and it truly was one of the best dining experiences we've participated in. He brought out Gnocchi Gorgonzola first, then we had a Caesar Salad. Followed that up with his special of the night which was a Shrimp Risotto which was to die for!!! I can't describe the sauce how it deserves, but it was a chile infused red sauce. The perfect amount of spice! Finally we had the Lasagna. It's next level and unlike anything I'm sure you'll ever experience. In parting, Trattoria Toscana is the MUST VISIT restaurant if you are visiting Temecula. Go in with patience and just enjoy the experience! 5 star!!!!

Yelp
Valentine's Day Special was more like a Valentines Day Massacre. I paid $260 to either stand outside in the cold or in a cramped waiting space big enough for maybe 4 people. Since my wife and I decided to wait outside the skipped us several times to be seated. When we finally sat down we were never asked to order drinks. We were told they were already out of certain deserts. It wouldn't have bothered me if I hadn't already prepaid but I would like to at the bare minimum be able to choose what I paid for. Service was non existent. Orders that weren't ours were constantly brought to our table. The food was incredibly poor. The "Waygu" steak was a thin 1/4 in skirt steak that had some balsamic glaze ontop. Steak wasn't trimmed and fat was everywhere. If it was a real Waygu steak pretty sure it would have rendered down way more. The gispacho soup was over salted and not good. Our waitress was overworked and never gave us any attention. She was robotic and not at all warming. I don't blame her at all. It wasn't her fault. It was management. The manager in a pink jacket seemed to be disoriented and lost and muddled in frustration. We checked in with her upon arrival but just looked at my name on the waiting list and did absolutely nothing with it. She acknowledged me and then said we would be seated in about 15 minutes and then walked away. When they had already passed over us several times for our seat, we walked back into the waiting room for the manager to already forget who we were. She asked the room who was next and it took me and another couple to say something about us being skipped over. The servers were trying but honestly giving the barest of efforts in part due to the disorganization from management. The food just wasn't good... at all. Nothing felt authentic and the atmosphere seemed to be about filling the seats and getting the $260 out of "customers" and not much else. The flower they tossed on my table was already dead. This place turned a wonderful Valentines Day dinner idea into an absolute dumpster fire. It got so bad that my wife and I just started to people watch. We couldn't find a happy customer in that entire dinning room. Everyone had a different level of frustration and disbelief on their faces. My wife and I will never return to Toscana. The experience was more than enough of a wake up call that Gourmet Italia is the defacto King of how a romantic Italian dinner can be possible in this valley.

Yelp
We had our Christmas work gathering at this restaurant and everything was amazing! The food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect. Everyone had a great time -- highly recommend for any group event!

Devin D.

Yelp
I'm not usually one to leave a bad review but this place is ridiculously bad. I brought my pregnant girlfriend here for her "first Mother's Day", and I was completely and utterly disappointed. We ordered Bruschetta, an Italian salad, and ricotta and spinach ravioli. We ended up sending everything back and leaving. It was by far the worst food I've ever tasted in my life. I could have made every dish myself for the first time and absolutely blown it out of the water compared to this. I have absolutely no idea how this place has 4 stars.

Yelp
I paid like $150 for 2 plates with 4 raviolis each on them that tasted like a can of chef boyardee

Yelp
Toscana Trattoria is my go to whenever I visit the Temecula area so much that I actually drove an hour tonight just to see Pietro the owner and his staff for an incredible meal. The food was outstanding and for being short staffed the service was excellent. Thank you for a great meal and the hospitality Pietro!
google avatar

Kristina K.

Yelp
Chef Pietro was so warm and inviting! He greeted us at the door! Amazing!! Our server Joey was prompt and never let our glass get empty. The octopus appetizer was cut thin and delicious so fresh and tasty. I wanted pasta with vodka sauce; Chef Pietro recommended the shrimp and lobster ravioli. Handmade pasta with a delicious pesto vodka sauce that was to die for! Then we had the tiramisu that was light and rich with decadence. The ravioli room put us right ikr we were in Italy. We will be back!

Scott Q.

Yelp
Delicious fresh food, handmade pasta! The owner/chef was very welcoming, we had a great conversation! Definitely recommended if your looking for authentic food and Italian hospitality!!

Yelp
We started with a basket of home made bread and imported olive oil with balsamic oh so yummy! Caesar Salad and Carpaccio Di Filetto Mignon followed by our main dishes Lingunie tutto Mare, Spaghetti Con Polpette and house lasagna Con Ragu Prosciutto Cotto Highly recommend the Carpaccio Di Filetto Mignon so incredibly yummy! you will not be disappointed. Caesar salad was very yummy with a perfect amount of dressing. The Lingunie Tutto Mare was very flavorful home made pasta perfect amount. The Lasagna Con Ragu Prosciutto Cotto oh mama mia so delicious. The Speghetti Con Polpette WOW! WOW! WOW! The presentation was so pretty surrounded by four oh so yummy meat balls. I have to say I will definitely order this dish again but as of right now my goal is to try all the other dishes as everything is home made with cheeses and olive oils imported from Italy. lets talk about the service please, our server a super nice gentlemen with an Italian accent was the absolute Best!! Just listening to him speak about the specials and explaining the details of the menu was a treat in its self. He was amazing I wish I got his name, listening to our waiter took my husband back to Italy. The ambiance definitely has a beautiful touch of Italy, its beautiful and gives you an atmosphere of being in Italy. All and all I highly, highly recommend Trattoria Toscana to everyone. When we go back I will make it a point to get our waiters name and come back on here and post it.

Yelp
This place is hands down thee most authentic and amazing Italian food that I might have ever had. Simple easy atmosphere combined with amazing wait staff. It was awesome. Also try the Licor 43 drink it's amazing

Yelp
Was there with my better half Sunday night. Service was good by the owner's wife. Little too much of politeness would have liked more friendly as the Chef owner seemed to be. Th dishes we ad, risotto tutto mare and Gorgonzola gnochis were just amazing. Very well done. We wished that the Osso bucco were not a special only. Other surprise no pizza on the menu Highly recommend this place

Chiara H.

Yelp
We went here and the atmosphere seemed very nice. Our waitress was very nice and helpful, but we had a bad experience. I usually order dishes with shrimp and lobster when I go out and usually love it. I ordered the Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli and it tasted so fishy that I couldn't eat it, as if the shrimp and lobster were old. I felt bad for sending it back and tried my best to be polite about it. The waitress took it back and we heard the chef yelling and complaining about us from the kitchen. We mentioned it to the waitress and she explained that the chef gets upset and takes things personally sometimes. They ended up charging me for the plate I sent back and only took one bite from. My sister also thought her dish tasted bland and overcooked. Overall, it was an uncomfortable experience and wouldn't go back.

Yelp
The food & ambiance at this place is top notch. It's small & just a total Italian vibe. Loved the pasta & the cocktails are great too

Yelp
Food and service are always amazing. You will definitely be returning. The owner is always present to greet his patrons. It is a charming and comfortable restaurant.

Yelp
I'm concerned they have never had food before. I innocently googled "best Italian in Temecula" and some how this place was number 1. Number 1? Is there a fazolis in town? A Pizza Hut? $228 for 2 appetizers, a Alfredo pasta and a steak. The steak was $85 and I have made a better steak in high school. Just wild to me. Someone needs to tell them. The pasta Alfredo was like kraft Mac and cheese but if it was way too salty. Calamari was steak style and way too much salt. Like chewing gum but no flavor. But they made a great Shirley temple.

Yelp
Disastrous Experience - Avoid at All Costs! This restaurant is an absolute disgrace, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. What was supposed to be a celebratory dinner for my mom and aunt's birthdays turned into a nightmarish experience that left me feeling sick and utterly disappointed. As a chef myself, I love to get "handmade" pasta when eating out, so I ordered the handmade ravioli, as did my mom and my aunt. It was supposedly made with flour imported from Italy. I follow a strict gluten-free diet due to severe sensitivities, but I can tolerate flour from Italy. Imagine my horror when I took a bite of the room temperature (not hot) ravioli only to discover that the pasta was thick, poorly made, and definitely not up to Italian standards. The filling, which was supposed to be spinach and cheese, was dry and flavorless, with not even a hint of cheese. The tomato sauce tasted like it had been dumped straight from a cheap can. To make matters worse, I ended up incredibly sick that night when I got home, which leads me to believe they lied about the source of their flour, or possibly mixed flours. This is beyond unacceptable. The lamb chops were a complete rip-off, priced at an outrageous $55 for what could only be described as a child's portion. Our friend, who flew in from out of state for this special dinner, had to fill up on three bread baskets because his meal was so minuscule. This is supposed to be a high-end restaurant, but serving such tiny portions at that price is nothing short of a scam. Then came the chicken dish--if you can even call it that. It was absolutely disgusting. The chicken was tough, flavorless, and had no color at all, like it had been boiled and then slapped onto the plate. To add insult to injury, it didn't even come with everything the menu promised. Despite the menu claiming that you can return a dish if you don't like it, the chef and owner had the audacity to try and charge us 50% of the cost when we sent it back. And we had barely touched it--just one bite! When I asked to speak with the owner, he came over with an immediate attitude, standing behind me and demandingly said, "What's going on?" His aggressive tone and arrogant demeanor were shocking. I had to confirm he was the owner (Pietro) before he begrudgingly moved to the side of the table, where I explained the issues with the chicken. He dismissively told me that "most restaurants charge 50% when you send something back because you don't like it." Which, in the rare cases I send something back, that has NEVER even been suggested, it's always taken off the bill. It wasn't just that we didn't like it--the dish was unfit for consumption. After a lot of arguing, he finally removed the chicken from the bill but not without calling us rude for sending it back. This entitled, condescending attitude pushed me to finally tell him about the other disasters on our table. I had initially planned to keep my complaints to myself, but his behavior was so offensive that I couldn't stay silent. The night was supposed to be a special occasion, with friends and family traveling from out of state and even out of the country to be there. Instead, it was a humiliating and frustrating experience. Our friend who ordered the chicken left the dinner early to grab food from ***Papa Feta before they closed--which, by the way, has AMAZING Mediterranean food that I highly recommend. I've never had a bad experience there; it's family-owned, with good quality food and service.*** To top it all off, on a Friday night, this place only had two other parties dining in, and now I know why. This restaurant offers subpar food, dishonest practices, and an owner who clearly doesn't care about his customers. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. It's not worth the risk to your health, your wallet, or your special occasion.

Yelp
January 27, 2024 Food - good Service - not that good Ambiance - hurried, rushed, noisy. I really don't like giving unpleasant reviews. However when you are putting out a lot of money and then are faced with service that is bothered by your presence, I gotta be honest. The entrees were good. Sadly won't visit again.

Yelp
Wow, please stay away from here. Service was bad, plain bad. The table next to us complained about their service. They had a valid argument, one of their dishes came out over 30 minutes later than everyone else's, and only because they complained it hadn't come out yet and everyone else was done eating. The waitress took the beating and did as she should, went and got the manager. The manager came over and took another beating and apologized. Then the owner came over and extremely unprofessionally told the customer to stop yelling, and I'm putting that as nice as possible. She was getting louder and louder, not yelling, but again for good cause. They decided they weren't having it and get up and leave. The owner then came to my table and asked us if she was yelling. Not really wanting to be part of all of this, we said she was justifiably upset, but not yelling. He left, then a few minutes later the waitress came to our table and wanted to understand why we didn't think she was yelling. I had to get up and address the waitress and the owner about what I saw, both at the table and the nonsense of bringing my family into it. On to our eating experience, extremely over priced for low quality food. The pasta was good, definitely fresh, but other than that, olive garden would have been a better choice. The fried calamari was definitely straight bagged frozen from Costco. And since when is a table of 4 considered a large party. These thieves tacked on an automatic 20% gratuity, on a night where the overall experience was garbage, and self-admittedly only had 1 chef on a known busy night so it was insanely slow service. Stay away from this place. If you want good authentic Italian, go to Nonno's in Murrieta.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, delicious food, somewhat pricy but worth it. I've heard great things about the pizza, I hope they bring it back soon.

Yelp
We had a group of 14 for dinner with reservations, which was quick and easy to do online (although they did require a deposit). The restaurant wasn't too busy on a Saturday night though, but we had a table that was a bit more closed off for some privacy. My friend and I shared two pastas: Pappardelle con Funghi ($29) and Gnocchi alla Gorgonzola -Gemma's Favorite ($25). I love a creamy white sauce, so both dishes really hit the spot on that. The gnocchi can get a bit overwhelming since it is of only one flavor and texture, so great option to share this one. My favorite was definitely the pappardelle con funghi made with a medley of porcini and oyster mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, caramelized onions and cream. Although I was a bit intoxicated while enjoying this meal, it was satisfying and delicious. The pastas are a bit on the pricier end for what you get, but they were yummy. Overall, good experience and great for big parties that they were able to easily accommodate.

Yelp
We give Trattoria Toscana highest accolades for the high quality Italian dinner experience that we receive every time we frequent Chef Pietro's restaurant. We find ourselves coming in once a week and never leave disappointed. Our family gets a wide variety of orders and everything is delicious. Between kids pastas (Gnocchetti Sardi w/ 4-cheese sauce), to Pollo al Limone, to either an aged Ribeye or Wagyu steak, we all eat very well. To top it off, Chef Pietro makes his bread and his side pastas fresh daily and the diner can taste the quality. The wine/cocktail & dessert lists are also high quality. In addition, we have always encountered friendly and competent staff. Trattoria Toscana is the preeminent Italian restaurant in Temecula/Murrieta!

Yelp
Trattoria Toscana is another Italian treat for your taste buds here in greater Temecula/Murrieta. The three of us stopped for dinner over the Holidays and enjoyed ourselves. Both the food and service are first rate; and the have live entertainment in the bar area. Nice! We started with wine and salads. Both the Caesar and House were good, but what really wowed us were the entrées. Amazing. Our daughter just kept repeating. how light and pillowy the Gnocchi were and they were. You need to try them. We also ordered the Lasagna and Sausage Pasta, substituting their rigatoni for parpadelle. Delicious. All three dishes were some of the best Italian food we've had in the area. Dessert was also memorable. I had their Tiramisu, my wife the Chocolate Torta di Nutella and our daughter the Torta de Nonna. Look at the pictures and you tell me they don't connect with your taste buds. Great way to end the evening. The tab ran us $151.17 before gratuities and our server Amanda was outstanding. We will be back.

Yelp
On the busiest night, this place went above and beyond my expectations! Our server was amazing and recommended a chefs special linguine with shrimp and roasted bell pepper sauce which I completely enjoyed! The rose for my wife on our departure was a sweet touch and I will definitely be back!

Yelp
My wife and I have never had a worst dinning experience in our 32yrs of marriage. Our mistake was thinking there would be enough seating in the main dinning room for a few walk-in patrons. The table and chair combination on the bar side were the first problem. The table height was at chest level making it awkward and uncomfortable for dinning. Next, the menu selections could be considered gourmet if they weren't the same pasta and sauce combination across the board. In addition, if you want sauce on the pasta expect to pay extra; $7 to $10 extra! Another issue with the menu selection is the lack of well known staples. If you want fettuccine Alfredo, too bad. If you're favorite dish is shrimp scampi over angel hair pasta, you're out of luck. Looking for Italian sausage, keep looking. So, if that isn't enough to dampen your dinner, the service is abysmal. Relegated to the bar area, we were penalized with the 2nd string. The particular server we had failed to get our order correct, failed to take our menus after we ordered (I had to put them on the bar where they never moved again), she failed to clear the appetizer plates before or after our dinner arrived, and failed to check in on our experience until ot was evident that we were looking for the check. I wish i could say that the food was a saving grace to our visit, but it wasn't. The expression on my wife's face, along with the amount she left on her plate, clearly expressed her dissatisfaction. The lasagna portion I endured was burnt on the bottom, just the bottom, YES, JUST THE BOTTOM. I consider myself an above average cook. I can honestly say that I could not think of a way to bake a tray of lasagna on the bottom and not the top. And like any burnt dish, the burnt flavor permeates the entire plate. At first, i thought the smoky flavor was intentional so i took a few more bites. By the time I reached the third bite, I decided that it wasn't worth eating or the $31 they charge for a 4in square of noodles and simple sauce. Of course they wouldn't accept responsibility and charged me full price for the portion I had eaten. If I could leave a negative amount of stars for a review, this would be a negative 5 star, extremely dissatisfied review. Poor service, poor accommodation, poor food quality, and extremely overpriced!

Yelp
Don't expect much from the food. Better to get a jar of sauce from the grocery store, and we are an Italian family who makes our own sauce. The steak was also just barely ok - I didn't finish the steak and I'm a steak lover and was hungry. The good news was the waitress was wonderful and the band was fun. If you want good Italian, Carini's Pizza and Pasta is not much in the way of ambience, but their food CRUSHES this place and is 1/4 the price. For a night out, Anthony's is also faaaar better. Thanks again to the waitress and band

Yelp
Was honestly so excited to try this charming Italian restaurant that boasted homemade pasta. It was lackluster in so many ways. Yes, it is handmade pasta but without the delicate balancing of flavors, it's just a shame if a dish. Even the calamari lacked enough salt and the portion was just enough so everyone could have just one. Bread with vinegar and olive oil.. surely you can't mess that up. Bread was a good quality but the olive oil tasted like crude oil. Again, such a waste of good bread. Needed far more vinegar to balance this app out. The steak was the most disappointing. At $85 and poor plating, I hoped to actually get a medium rare steak as requested. That's clearly medium well. The waiter rushed everything so I didn't bother telling him. There were large groups of people waiting. Best we left and forget the mess and call it an evening. The shining moment was the carbonara. The flavor was en pointe. We may get this to go in the future. Bravo for that! It's not easy to make carbonara.

Yelp
The food was ok at best. Overcooked and MASSIVELY overpriced for what you get. The service was fine but nothing special. So many better Italian restaurants in the valley. Worth skipping in my opinion.

Yelp
First of all, the food was amazing. Everything was so fresh! Our server was also mostly attentive. We did have to ask for Parmesan and second glasses of wine but otherwise she was great! The timing from the kitchen though...We had our kids with us, 14 and 8, and the delays from the kitchen was tough with kids. We came for our daughter's birthday and she received a free tiramisu which the hubby and I enjoyed. Would only come back for a date night without the kids.

Yelp
Best Italian Food in Temecula easily. All pastas made in house. Service well real deal Italian hospitality. What else is there to say. Pizza Cesar salad, complimentary table bread, pasta calamari. Everything was perfect so good I went out to my car to get the phone so I could get pictures.
