"Pac Heights is a bit of wasteland for easy, sit down dinners that aren’t the bacon mac and cheese at Palmer’s that you spring for after your fourth cocktail. Keep Troya in your back pocket for when you can’t be bothered to wait in line for Delfina. The Mediterranean spot is definitely casual, but still nice enough that you won’t feel awkward coming in like you were dressed for a job interview, and the food is quite good. Go for the lamb hummus or the chicken kebabs." - taylor abrams, max child, will kamensky

"At Troya, it’s easy to get a reservation and easy to hear other people talk. Another reason to come: the Mediterranean food here is authentic, simple, and delicious. Unclear why it’s so easy to get in, but we aren’t complaining. It’s generally appropriately busy with people who care more about the food than documenting their every move on social media, and it’s an enjoyable place to spend some time. While you’re here, the things you should be eating include, but aren’t limited to: fried brussels sprouts, lamb hummus, and chicken kebabs." - Taylor Abrams

Absolutely love this place! If you are vegetarian, their meal for 2 is a must! If meat is your preference, try the braised lamb, it’s unbelievable! Come with an appetite because the servings are portioned perfectly for a hungry patron. Must try: Hummus- rich, creamy, and a great appetizer to start with. For those who want to make a meal of it, try the warmed variety with braised lamb, absolutely amazing! Labneh- better than your Nine’s, it is a great appetizer to have with their tasty salad. Braised Lamb shank- It’s something you just have to try. It’s one of the best Mediterranean meat dishes out there. Moussaka- a vegetarian delight, the moussaka didn’t lack in flavor, quality, or portion size. Loved it. Vegetarian meal for 2- can’t describe how incredible the meal deal is. Please try it and come back and let me know how it goes.

I had an amazing experience at Troya for breakfast. The tea was wonderful, and the Turkish coffee was perfect—just how it should be. What really stood out, though, was the friendly and welcoming staff. They made the entire experience even more enjoyable with their warmth and great service. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for an authentic Turkish breakfast!

We stopped in for brunch on a whim and found our new favorite Mediterranean place! The atmosphere was great and the staff were very nice. It looks like a popular place so I’d recommend making reservations. We were just two so they were able to seat us just fine. The food was delicious and the portions were on the large side, at least for what we ordered. And there was a good variety of things on the brunch menu. We also had Turkish coffee which came with a delicious pistachio Turkish delight. I highly recommend Troya and we look forward to coming back.

Lamb was cooked nicely and the falafels were really well done, crispy outside moist inside—not dry at all. Friendly service and relaxing atmosphere, smaller place, but was seated prompted with a call ahead.

This is the food that makes you close your eyes with delight as you savour the first bites of each dish and then keeps you savouring each bite after until it’s gone. Everything was mouthwatering delicious! My husband and I shared our food. We had the fried brussel sprouts and dip. Crunchy. Salted just right. The sauce is the perfect level of spicy. 👌🏻 A greater starter! Then, we had the roasted cauliflower. This was our favourite! I could eat this every day and be satisfied. I can’t even describe how amazing this dish is. The tzatziki with how they cook and season the cauliflower… 🤤 An absolute must try! The chicken kebab was a bit dry, but paired with tzatziki and brussel sprout sauce, it made for great bites! The rice with chick peas was surprisingly flavourful. Topped with harissa and spices, it was the best part of that dish! All together, each dish paired well with each other. I loved hopping back and forth from plate to plate and mixing items from each dish together. I recommend you do the same. ☺️ I had the mint mojito and my husband had the Romeo and Juliet spritzer. I knew my mojito would be good (it’s hard to mess up a mojito), but this one was so refreshing! Not too mint forward. I was sure my husband’s drink would taste like perfume, as it has rose and lavender flavours in it, but it was so well balanced! The cucumber really broke up the sweetness. Top quality food. The restaurant itself is beautiful! Bright. Cozy. It has a gentle vibe to it. I would definitely go back and eat there again!

Locoum and other desserts appear in the front window to entice you in. There is a cute exterior seating space and the indoor seating feels clean and welcoming with a spacious feel. The service was a bit low-staffed but they were very friendly, efficient and responsive so we were able to complete our lunch within the 1 hour window. Everything except the falafel salad was 4-5 stars. Good value for money on the starters.
