Modern space with banquettes and a bar with a floral design, serving Japanese food plus cocktails.
"Tempura rolls, tiger rolls, and truffle tuna rolls. This Japanese spot on Voltaire Road serves some seriously good, and kind of OTT sushi. It’s a relaxing and romantic spot, with the kind of dimly lit dining room that automatically makes anyone look 10 times more attractive. You’ll mostly see couples dotted around the spacious dining room, but it works just as well for friends celebrating birthdays with colourful cocktails in hand. Come with a hungry group or bring that person you fancy, order the kataifi prawns to start and don’t hold back on the rolls." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna
"Tsunami is Clapham’s most notable Japanese restaurant. Don’t ignore the gyozas, fresh and plump with chicken and cabbage, the kaitafi prawns, and the nasu goma — aubergine topped with very addictive sesame paste. Tempura impresses — the seafood selection is an elegant gap-filler; ramen is solid. But the sushi and sashimi are as good as it’s possible to find from a Japanese neighbourhood restaurant in London." - Josh Barrie
