A culinary journey at Tuğra Restaurant As part of our stay at the Ciragan Palace, we had the pleasure of dining at Tuğra Restaurant—an experience that was as memorable as the palace itself. The seven-course tasting menu was a refined and imaginative interpretation of Turkish cuisine, masterfully balancing tradition and innovation in each dish. Every course felt carefully considered and perfectly executed. The presentation was elegant and thought through. Service at Tuğra was impeccable—professional, knowledgeable, and delivered with genuine warmth. The setting, with its regal ambiance and views over the Bosphorus, created a truly special atmosphere. Dining in such a historic and beautiful location made the evening feel even more extraordinary. Tuğra is without question among the finest restaurants we’ve visited in Istanbul. It certainly wouldn’t be out of place among Michelin-starred venues. An unforgettable evening of culinary excellence. Highly recommended.

Exceptional restaurant within a palace. You had me at palace. The attentiveness of the staff was otherworldly, but the tasting menu, catered to vegetarian dishes was mildly lack luster. There was no difference in price for the veggie minded enthusiasts which was disappointing. The chef did go beyond in trying to remedy the already fixed menu though. Each portion was artfully presented and enjoyed. Overall the atmosphere was mildly stuffy. It’s an exceptionally beautiful space and we were lucky to have a stunning view of the Bosporus. Other tasting menus blew this one out of the park though, hence the missing star. But if you are looking for the experience and the impeccable history of the establishment.

What an experience!!! The food, the ambience, the experience, the service! Everything we tried was phenomenal. The service was perfection, thank you Gulnur, you are a gem!

This restaurant is inside a breathtaking palace. The location and the experience there are totally worthy of the price tag. The service, ambiance, staff, music, and privacy of each table, all of it is perfect. The food itself has a high quality of products. However, the flavors were too far from my preferred palette. So I couldn't really eat and enjoy the taste of the food (signature lamb dish). I understand that's a personal preference. Just for the experience, I totally recommend it.

Amazing place and service highly recommended. The food is great but needs a bit more diversification, especially the wall nut tomato paste. It seems not to add much to the menu.

This beautiful restaurant in the heart of the beautiful Ciragan palace offer everything you are looking for a great , romantic food experience! Great ambience , supper professional and friendly staff and really delicious food! I would give them 10 starts if I could! Thank you whole team for making our last night at Ciragan palace so memorable!

The most exclusive restaurant in Istanbul. Fantastic interiors and views. If you love lamb, try the « lamb variation » dish: 2 perfect small portions, differently cooked. The best lamb ever. Excellent service as well.

I had the most incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The food was beyond excellent; each dish was a delightful surprise for my taste buds. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was simply unbelievable. The flavors, presentation, and service were top-notch. I can't wait to return and savor this culinary gem again. Thanl you !

Getting to/leaving Tugra was rather challenging as it was not reachable by public transport. Having said that, once I sat down with the fabulous Bosphorus view, I was highly impressed with the service, the pace, and the quality of food here. Tugra reinterpreted Turkish dish without going paleo/keto/gf trendy route. Everything was scrumptious and can be correlated to a well-known traditional Turkish dish. Service was a delight and was far better than the one-Michelin restaurants in Istanbul. Tugra was absolutely not cheap and yet was underrated. I would say that Tugra was a venue worth revisiting beyond your daily eating kebap and baklava.

Go for the views, have a drink. Food is as tired as the Ottoman Palace it is housed in. Service is formal bordering on stuffy and pricing is high.

Ciragan palace is stunning. The marble, the chandeliers, the sweeping staircases, the sheer expansiveness of it, the enormous tapestries on the walls... It is beyond a memorable place. You will notice the building on any sort of Bosphorous cruise, and lit up so it looks golden and unbelievably impressive. For this reason alone, it is worth a visit... Ask for a table on the balcony when you make your reservation. The wine list is fabulous (try the Tugra Okuzgozu!), and the menu looks phenomenal. The execution, though, leaves a bit to be desired, which is the only thing keeping the restaurant from a five-star experience. I tried the turbot, and though the fish itself was very good, the sides that came with it were very dry and inexpertly cooked. We also tried the mezze platter before our entrees, and everything on it was very good although the portions were teeny! Each appetizer, they told us, is portioned for a single individual, which sort of defeats the purpose of a mezze platter. We were happy to have little nibbles (truly!) of each of these dishes. Dining in royal style comes with a price tag, but it really is an unreal atmosphere to experience one time in your Istanbul vacation!

Amazing restaurant. This is now my favorite in Istanbul! Every course was delicious and the service was perfect. We had a table on the Bosporus, which made the experience totally wonderful. I highly recommend.

My wife and I had a great night at this beautiful restaurant. A truly memorable day for the food experience and atmosphere. Although the night was a bit cold (late November) and the hotel fairly empty, we had a great time with all the great food and wine.
