I think all my other reviews of other restaurants need to go down one star after our meal here. What I really loved about this restaurant over other similar bracket places is that it was exquisite food but never felt pretentious. The food was incredible and the wine pairing was devine. I have always been a bit disappointed with Tokaji before but their selection is by far and the best I have had from Hungary. Staff were amazingly friendly and courteous - really helped to enhance the intimate feel of the venue. Chef coming out and explaining the food was a nice touch. Highlights for me was the rainbow trout course.. that was just incredible.. and the Cevennes Onion - I can see why it is their signature dish.. I could keep waxing superlatives but all I can say is do come and try it and you will see what i mean.. Will be back for my wifes birthday later in the year!

First time in Turnips on our fried recommendation, and you must to go. It’s a small restaurant behind a rich and exotic mini market. We had a sublim lunch testing experience, it was like a voyage full of surprises and pleasure. Also, all staff are very friendly and give you the information about each plate.

Totally unexpected delight. We booked a table while queuing for vegetables on a busy Saturday market day in Borough market. I never expected to end up having one if the best meals I've ever had in London. We had the tasting menu and each course was perfect. The food is exquisite and playful, juxtaposing unlikely flavours, creating be harmonies. Of course jerusalem artichoke, so naturally sweet, makes a fine ice cream; of course a touch of chili enhances a brioche. The tomato and onion dishes were extraordinary and intense. Beautiful, delicious, fabulous. The staff were professionally, welcoming and gracious. The chefs were brilliant. The only gripe was the music was a bit too loud for these elderly ears, ehike the rumbling trains added to the unexpected delight in finding my new favourite restaurant.

Coming from Peru i am quiet particular with my food. I visited Turnips in London Bridge by Tomas L. And it didn’t disappointed but rather exceeded my expectations. Delicious food from start to finish, tried the 6 course tasting menu and every dish was mouthwatering. Will definitely come back and recommend this place to family and friends. If you live in London or just visiting you must come to Turnips.

This restaurant is nested inside Borough Market, behind a greengrocer. It's such a unique location. I went on a date night with my partner and it was very charming and romantic. Great music on the background. We went for the tasting menu, portions were great and the food was exceptional!

This place is an absolute hidden gem inside the very busy Borough market. We were a little tired walking around the market and wanted to sit down and have a bite, which is somewhat impossible at the Borough market. So glad we spotted Turnips and they were open. We ordered their two course menu along with some cocktails. The dishes look quite small in size, but they somehow are very filling. The representation was 10/10. Everything tasted so yum and interesting. Staff were super lovely and helpful. The cocktails tasted fresh and different. It was an experience we never expected to have inside the busy crowded market. Highly recommended!

You need to visit this hidden restaurant tucked inside Turnips, London’s finest greengrocer. Tomas Lidakevicius (good luck pronouncing that), serves some of the finest seasonal dishes, made from Turnips very own fruit and veg, paired with the best fish and meat Borough market has to offer. The tasting menu is sublime with beautifully balanced and nuanced dishes. Set under fairy lights, in the outdoors but protected from the elements, it is a beautiful venue both airy in the summer and toasty in the winter.
