Best Patios in Austin | Eater Austin

"Longtime Austinites will immediately clock this funky North Campus bar and coffee shop from its former life as Spider House, as not much has changed. There’s plenty of outdoor space with food trucks including vegan pizzeria Li’l Nonna’s, Indian fried chicken spot Guppys, and Waylon J’s Barbeque. Tweedy’s is a great spot for a casual nonalcoholic date, coworking and cocktails, or just to soak up the sun on a nice day. There’s an indoor area, too." - Erin Russell

University of Texas at Austin Campus: Where to Eat and Drink Around UT Austin | Eater Austin

"The old Spider House Cafe is now Tweedy’s in North Campus, which is brought to you by folks who have had their hands in Kinda Tropical, Hotel Vegas, and Yellow Jacket Social Club. The vintage, rock ‘n’ roll vibes pair with cocktails, wine, and draft beer, as well as food trucks Counter Culture, Dream Po’ Boys, and Zucchini Kill. There are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Darcie Duttweiler

Tweedy's - Review - North University - Austin - The Infatuation

"In North Campus, near 29th and Guadalupe Street, Tweedy’s is a bar offering cocktails, beer, and wine. It’s built in an old house—with a few different rooms you can grab a table in—but the big draw here is the large patio that wraps around the building. While they don’t offer food, there are a couple of food trucks parked nearby." - Nicolai McCrary & Raphael Brion

New Austin Bar Tweedy’s Opens in North Campus in Old Spider House Cafe | Eater Austin

"Opened November 4 at 2906 Fruth Street in North Campus inside the former Spider House Cafe, the new bar serves cocktails, wine, and draft beer and will have the Golden Tiger food truck on site for chicken sandwiches, burgers, fries, and more; it's co-owned by Brian Tweedy, Jason McNeely, Shannon LeBoeuf, John Yaklin, and Amy Mullins, who says the space has a "vintage, playful rock and roll vibe" and that the name was chosen simply because the owners liked the way "Tweedy’s" sounded. It is open limited hours for now but is expected to operate 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. after its grand opening." - Erin Russell

Went here with my son to have a Birthday drink. It was a weekday midday so we were the only customers. Im sure it gets pretty busy at nights & weekends. I ordered a mojito the girl behind the counter did not know how to make so she googled it. I've had better but whatever. The bathroom was interesting

Always a great time anytime 😊 I make it a plan to stop by whenever I'm in Austin. Good prices and a very chill atmosphere. Everyone is very nice and ppl respect your space so it feels safe. I also posted some of the surrounding food truck 🚚 menus in their parking lot right in front. In fact, my favorite part is that they're open until 2 AM and the food trucks are usually open pretty late as well. Enjoy!

This place is so rad. Hot cider and mulled wine in the cooler months? Yes, please. They’ve got tea and other drinks too, and the best part—you can bring in food from the food trucks next door (mozzarella sticks and fries hit just right). The vibe inside is effortlessly cool, like the kind of spot you never want to leave. Easily my favorite hang in Austin.

Wow, what a bar! Am I right? They have the most wonderful staff, and they have the biggest hearts. I particularly enjoy going here on Friday afternoons to see Olivia and Gabe, they really bring a ray of sunshine into my day when I’m fighting off the last demons of the work week (know what I’m saying?). They also have the best music there, particularly those handsome DJs they hire. I’m so glad there’s still a place in the live music capital where you can hear real life Vinyls! Another round of shoutouts for the newest members of the team Gabi . Thanks for the burger, I owe ya one 🤙🏻. Five stars.

Google
I was going to start to be a regular customer because it’s nice it has a tattoo place and a bakery place and they have nice frozen drinks but JUST GOING TO LEAVE THAT OUT THERE, IF YOURE NOT A Certain RACE, DONT COME. I would leave them tips and such, and for some reason today I don’t know why I got ignored over CERTAIN customer base. I gave up waiting to be served but other people got service right away. PS. I never write reviews, this one had to happened I was upfront even said “excuse me” I don’t know what I did wrong. I don’t like putting people in the spot that’s why the photo is blurry. (FYI) maybe I really did something to offend them I don’t know to get ignored even when I said “excuse me” and two ignored me maybe they didn’t hear me even tho they looked at me but I don’t know maybe being Puertorrican I should learn where to hangout

Google
I love this place. It has a great courtyard shared with Zucchini Kill Bakery and is dog friendly. There are a ton of food trucks in the parking lot next door which makes it a great spot to post up for a spell.

Google
It's a good bar with a retro feel inside. Parking nearby is difficult to find. You can usually park on the road but again it's not easy to find parking. The place has plenty of seating outside and usually has a good vibe. Ideal to celebrate birthdays with a larger group! There are many food trucks near the bar so there are good food options available.

Google
Had a great time here on a quite afternoon. The frozen hibiscus lemonade was delicious. The music was great and the place was such a great vibe. Love the building and the repurposed statues out front. Coll patio and atmosphere.

Yelp
I came here for a drink and to chill on a Sunday afternoon. I got a delicious spicy margarita and Zucchini Kills waffle cream pie. Both were delicious. There are plenty of places to relax inside or outside. You have other options for food and Zucchini Kill bakery store on site. Parking is on the street and can be challenging depending when you go. Overall a great place to grab a drink and chill

Yelp
Been here a couple of times but never really bothered to review it. All in all, my favorite Austin bar. The perfect way to end a long day. Service can be a hit or miss depending on who's at the bar but either way the drinks will be decent and the vibes amazing.

Yelp
The short: great drinks, people watching and flanked by amazing approachable eats. Dog friendly. The long: we had time to kill and Tweedy's bar caught our eye. It was a rainy overcast day in Austin but Tweedy's features both indoor and outdoor seating (both covered and uncovered). Its outdoor seating has a tiered /graded style which makes it fun for people watching. Flanked by counter culture and zucchini kills for eats you really can't go wrong. Complex frozen cocktails and a oh so solid Sazerac. They are dog friendly and have a poop bag station for all your canine needs. Tweedy's is making the short list.

Yelp
Beautiful bar! Spacious patio with beautiful lighting. The bartender is splendid and knowledgeable about the drinks. Their happy hour is 3-6 pm. Although they don't have food there is a food truck that comes on the weekends, which I am looking forward to trying! They also have a cute little tattoo shop in the back of the patio area. 5/5 will be returning.

Yelp
Tweedys is a super great place to hang & chill. Knowledgeable bartenders are friendly. The garden atmosphere is transforming. Can really relax right in the core of the City - just north of campus.

Yelp
I recently discovered this spot which has now become my favorite in town. The interior of the bar is really cute, but the real highlight of the place is the large and comfortable patio. They also have an amazing food truck called Counter Culture, as well as a vegan and gluten-free bakery called Zucchini Kill. The place is run by locals, and they have great music and fun events. It's perfect for a large gathering or even as a place to study. Hope to see you there!

Yelp
New digs at the old Spiderhouse spot. Feels familiar with a new twist, happy to have it back!

Yelp
Really good food and nice atmosphere, it was a blast! I really enjoyed it going there and I'm looking forward to going back!
