The 21 Best Restaurants On Cape Cod - Cape Cod - The Infatuation

"This fine dining restaurant located at the Wequassett Resort & Golf Club is somewhere you should save for your one nice vacation dinner—and unless you want to settle for ice cream for dinner after getting dressed up and turned away, make a reservation. The restaurant is located in a renovated 18th-century sea captain’s home with tall glass windows that open onto Pleasant Bay. Like every other sit-down place on the Cape, the menu constantly rotates with all the seasonal produce. But expect a lot of seafood, and know you can also order something with duck or wagyu if you need a break from things that come from the ocean." - jennifer mattson, carlo mantuano

Wow — what can I say! The food here is absolutely amazing — beautiful quality with so much depth to every dish. That said, if you’re the type of person who just shovels food down like you haven’t eaten in a month, this is probably not the place for you. And if you’re looking for a giant plate of lasagna or a massive steak — again, not the place. But if you appreciate thoughtful, well-executed cuisine that’s beautifully presented, this is heaven. I had so many questions for our server (who was fantastic) about all the different ingredients — every dish was clearly well thought out and crafted with care. The portions are perfect — exactly what a normal-sized human needs — and every bite is an experience. 5 out of 5 all day long. Highly recommend.

Google
We did the 7 course tasting menu. It was phenomenal and did not feel too full after. The views were stunning. Service was too notch. No issues at all. They were accommodating of my allergies. And it’s not often that you can find 7 course vegetarian menus so that was very appreciated. The fried squash blossom with ricotta was my favorite along with the chilled soup. The risotto was just okay but every other dish was absolutely worth trying.

Google
We happily returned to 28 Atlantic this summer because we had an excellent dinner experience last summer for our large party. Besides the great views and service, however, this dinner was disappointing. We had the 7 course tasting and each course was smaller than from the prior year, but more importantly, the food quality and flavors were not as good. As soon as the oysters course was delivered, we thought there was something odd about it. There was almost no liquid in the 2 oysters and they tasted fishy and slimy. They were obviously not fresh. When mentioned to the staff, the chef did provide a new plate of plain oysters that were fresh and tasty. Some of us liked the vegetables and egg dish which provided a bit of richness with the egg. The fish course was well cooked and had a mild flavor. Only complaint is that it was barely warm. The beef course was tasty but the portion so small that most of us were not quite full, even after the dessert. I'm disappointed by this experience. A hallmark of a great restaurant is how consistent the food is from one service to the next. I really hope that the food improves because it's on such a great property and did have really good food the last time we visited.

Google
Had a lovely experience here last week. We were the first to arrive for our 5:30 reservation (indoor) and were seated promptly and attentively. Our server was wonderful and he did a great job explaining the menu. We were sat at the corner window seat for 2, best seat in the house! Excellent view! We did the prix fixe menu. Butter poached lobster and lobster carbonara were OUTSTANDING. But then again, everything we had was fantastic. Drinks were awesome as well. It was a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone!

Google
Stopped by for breakfast during our stay and was had a completely average experience, pretty underwhelming considering the hefty price. The front desk told us that they're serving both a buffet and a la carte breakfast, but both days we visited it was only in buffet mode. The food was good, but the selection was lacking variety. It looked like the breakfast buffet you'd find at any moderate priced hotel, just a small step above a holiday inn breakfast. Staff was clearly very new for the season and still learning the ropes, they were regularly reaching across our plates which surprised me for such a fancy restaurant.

Google
Went here for a special occasion. First it is a beautiful view and setting but the good news ends there. We were not made aware (misleading website menu) that it was prix fix. That would have been ok but the amount was outrageous. 2 very small dishes for 120.00. The service was terrible. Things came out of order for example the first course came before our oyster appetizer. The wine came after dinner was done. My husband got a piece of cod that was inedible spiney and cartilage in it and undercooked. When he said something after a wait person finally came at the END of the meal, the manager came over to discuss. They offered nothing, no comp in price, no dessert, nothing. It was shameful. We would never go back.

Google
Why bother asking how we want the (non-certified) wagyu steak cooked if you’re going to bring everyone the same undercooked plate? The lobster carbonara was too salty and the lobster tasted odd. The time between courses was so long, I thought we were on summer break! Waitstaff was nice. Our waitress - so so. Pretty bland food for what they charge. Also, a 20% tip is automatically added to ALL meals. So, they hold all the cards from the moment you sit down. This was my 3rd and last time. Cuvee in chatham is a far better option.

Google
I’m writing to share our deep disappointment following our recent visit. We spent over $800 for a party of four adults and two children, and unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. When we arrived, a wedding party was hosting a reception at the bar right outside the main dining room. They had taken over the restaurant entrance as their gathering space, creating significant noise and disruption. It was quite disrespectful to the rest of the guests dining inside. What was more concerning was that management chose not to intervene, citing that the group was “almost departing.” This decision negatively impacted the atmosphere and our ability to enjoy our time. Service was also frustrating. Our initial host spent nearly 40 minutes running back and forth without reason, even though she only had two tables. This resulted in delays and confusion, especially difficult with two young children at the table. We eventually had to ask, politely, to be switched to another server. Despite having a 5:00 PM reservation, we didn’t receive our first plate until 6:00 PM. That’s a full hour wait, which is extremely difficult with kids and simply unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. The first course was enjoyable, but the main courses were a disappointment. The cod, duck, and sirloin were all lukewarm and lacked flavor—certainly not what we expected given the price point and reputation. We had hoped for a memorable and pleasant evening but instead left feeling let down. I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously and look into these issues to ensure better service for future guests.

Yelp
This was really good. Great views and a lovely dining room with great service and wonderful food. We had the Duxbury oysters (A+), the foie gras (A+), the butter poached lobster (A+), and the poulet rouge (A). I'd come again anytime. The best thing about Wequassett resort.

Yelp
Party of 4 foodies highly disappointed in the food for a variety of reasons (i.e. temperature, taste, quantity). Service was slow - 3 hours is just too long. Wait staff not properly trained on menu items. Beautiful venue but just not worth the ridiculous $1,200 tab. We would never go back with all of the other great food establishments on the Cape.

Yelp
We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary here & we were so pleased with the food, the service and even the drinks! If you have to choose between this place or the other restaurant on property, Thoreaus...choose this one for sure!

Yelp
I came here with a large group and luckily snagged reservations on a busy holiday weekend. The space is grand with amazing views of the water. The staff was friendly and attentive and explained the menu to us. We did the pre-fixe and they allowed our group to substitute a second course 1 in lieu of a dessert course. The plating was beautiful, the food was tasty, and the drinks were strong. It was a fantastic time.

Yelp
I really enjoyed having dinner here with my husband last Friday. Our table had a beautiful view of the water and near us was a pretty fireplace with a roaring fire going. The food was also delicious. The pork buns and short rib were amazing. The duck and yuzu curd were also very good. The staff notably went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Gerald, in particular, was very helpful and kind. Its team members like him that can really create a memorable experience. I recommend 28 Atlantic for almost any occasion. Next to us was a date night, on our other side was what looked like a business dinner, there was also a really lovely bachelorette group. I was there for my birthday so it really is perfect for anything :) After dinner, we had drinks by the fire pits overlooking the ocean. It was a very nice dinner from start to finish and I can't wait to come back next time we're in town.

Yelp
Very disappointing after all the great reviews. The views and service were great but the food was mediocre, like bar food. Not fresh, not tasty, definitely not what we expected from an expensive restaurant.

Yelp
The service and view are worth the big dollar prices. If you're pinching pennies. This is not your place.

Yelp
Perfection on Cape Cod. Amazing resort and service Outermost Bar and Grille is a must do too

Yelp
An okay brunch! The space here is beautiful, but the service is not as good as I would expect at a place this nice. We ordered bloody Mary's (the only drink option besides mimosas), which were excellent! For food, three of us got the lobster Benedict (absolutely delicious, generous amount of lobster) and one of us got the regular eggs benefit (also great). However, the potatoes that came with them were not my favorite, personally. The service was not the best and pretty slow (our waiter rarely checked on us and it was tricky to order drinks). Overall, delicious food but not an amazing brunch spot!

Yelp
The service was awful, slow and uninterested in helping us have a good meal. The food was just ok, but overall, blah, overcooked and cold. I would never go back as there are so many good alternative restaurants.. Ambiance was ok but lots of kids running around and squealing

Yelp
Last night we had another top notch experience at 28 Atlantic at Wequasset. A perfect place for big celebrations or a fancy night out. Gib the manager dropped by to check on us and our server Sharon was fantastic. The food was amazing. They have a new emphasis on sushi, the tuna came out of the ocean same day. My husband who is a sushi guy was raving about it. Tomato Bisque and chowders were exquisite. Lobster Carbonara, Grilled Bass and a delightful Pasta Fiori with veggies for entrees. Everyone was arguing about whose was best. My sil said it was the best dirty martini she'd ever had. Topped off by a lovely interior and gorgeous water views. Perfect for anniversaries, birthdays etc. Definitely make reservations! Normally we enjoy a cocktail outside amongst the hydrangeas but the weather did not permit last night.

Yelp
Attention foodies! This place was REALLY good. It was our last night on the Cape. (I had to persuade my husband, who is a fan of budget-minded meals and fish & chips). But he was extremely glad we went. We were not staying at the resort, and I had made an online reservation. We arrived just at sunset, so I got some pictures of the views outdoors before dark. My husband ordered a mixed drink, and I ordered a demi bouteille of Duckhorn. The amuse bouche was a little dish of a tangy custard with a bite of a purple sweet potato crisp. They served a foccacia bread. We shared the poached shrimp appetizer. The shrimp was really fresh. Both of us ordered the Day Boat Scallops. They are pan fried, so slightly caramelized, served with some veggies and a delicious saffron sauce. For dessert, we shared the brie cheesecake. It was so artfully presented--the little decorations looked like seashells. Our server was great and all of the service was on point. It was a lovely evening.

Yelp
I was blessed to celebrate my birthday in such a beautiful, friendly, delicious restaurant with my dearest friends. Shelley greeted us at the door taking our coats and taking care of all of our various concerns... she was amazing!! Then our server, Vivian took charge of us and she was also professional and managed all of our numerous questions so well. I hope I am blessed to return to this perfectly wonderful restaurant because you will be treated like royalty

Yelp
This place is a notch above. The view is stunning, service was impeccable and every course was thoughtful, creative and unbelievably delicious. The food is what makes this place a notch above most expensive restaurants out there, we truly loved every bite! This is a special place to be enjoyed for special occasions, we went for my husband's 50th birthday and we won't forget this beautiful evening. Thank you for making this occasion such a special memory!

Yelp
Went for a special occasion on a Saturday evening. Best: food was great, server Vivienne was charming and informative but hard to hear due to mask and noise. Dining room was good layout and pleasant with good acoustics unless band was playing!! I hear the view is great but we arrived past sunset. Worst: Noise from wedding in next room over- thumping was obnoxious! Seemed that the dinner crowd knew about the noise and booked early and left by 8:30 before the band got rolling. For a Saturday night we were last to leave at 9:30pm!! Last: bring your wallet prices are up there- $288 for (2) including tip which is added to your bill at 18% automatically!

Nick M.

Yelp
We visited for a special family celebration - Shelly met us on arrival and with her team took impeccable care of us throughout the evening - food and wine was outstanding ......and a view across the bay that you could look at for hours. Will definitely return if we are lucky enough to be in the vicinity again.

Yelp
The only Forbes rated restaurant on the Cape. My husband and I usually go to Ceraldi, but this time - we both opted to try a different restaurant. The restaurant is about 15 minutes from Eastham, where we usually trek from during the summer. It is located on the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Harwich. The restaurant is situated on the back of the resort and overlooks Pleasant Bay. Upon going in, there is a stair well and it looks like a typical New England house, but when you go around the corner there is a reception desk to check in and a bar next to it that is adjoining the restaurant. We opted to sit inside because it's rather chilly during June at night. We sat in the dining room, right next to the window. We did the 7 course pre-fixe menu that I think was about 200 each. Gratuity is added onto the check, the wait staff lights that on the check, which is nice. Because in Las Vegas, they try to hide that autograt was added. LOL. The restaurant was one of the nicest we have been to with one of the best views. We always like to joke around and say, "Well, is it better than the singing frog at SW?" LOL. Definitely less tacky. HAHA. The waitress had someone she was training... but the waitress was top notch. You can tell she is educated on the food and the wines that she serves. Everything came out in a timely manner. And I have a lot of food allergies, so it was nice that I was able to do a lot of substitutions from the menu. So my husband kept his menu as it was made by the chef, but I had to change it. The price was the same and we were able to try a little bit more off the menu instead of us both having the exact same thing. There were a few times that the runner gave the wrong food to the wrong person; we realized it afterwards. Thank god my allergies are NOT severe... There was a change I made with dessert and instead of the trainee coming to tell me about how the dessert I chose had something I wouldn't be able to eat, she decided to bring out the dessert I changed to begin with. I think they should have discussed that with me instead of making the decision for me. So there were a few things wrong. I think if the waitress was by herself and if the runners paid a little more attention; this would have been the perfect experience. But, a few things were off. I'd definitely come back next year when we are back on the Cape.

Yelp
I normally give this restaurant 5 stars as it's impeccable. But my last visit on Thursday, May 25th. I cannot. This was my birthday and my husband & I was dining. GoWayne was our waiter & all started wonderfully. Gowayne was so friendly & could not try to make all perfect. We ordered the 3- course pre-fix selection. I ordered the duck & my husband ordered the black cod. A server brought my duck to the table and nothing was said about my husband's meal. I waited as I was waiting for my husband's meal to be served, my husband kept urging me to start eating as my duck was getting cold. I did not to spoil the night & eat w/o his meal. About 15 minutes later, Gowayne came to our table explaining that his meal ticket was not seen by the kitchen & his meal will is now being taken care of. I asked Gowayne if he could take my duck & keep it warm until the meal was ready. He sent over the maitre de & I repeated what I said to Gowayne. My meal was taken back & about 7 minutes later my husband & I were served our meals and nothing said. My duck was very cool - not warm at all (which was originally brought to the table 30 mins prior). Gowayne nor anyone said anything. My husband & I noticed that Gowayne was no longer so friendly - actually he was very awkward to us & never asked how our meals were. He avoided us. I did not want to ruin my special birthday dinner, therefore, I did not want to call anyone over to complain that my duck was not warm but cool. Nothing said nor any compensation. I feel very sad writing this review as it's our favorite special dinner place & has always been 5 stars to us.

Kimberly W.

Yelp
The food at 28 Atlantic and the service were just amazing. Valentina, our server, was exceptional at providing knowledgeable info on all the dishes on our tasting menu. She added joy to the very enjoyable evening. The food was incredible. The vanilla bean mousse dessert should be named "died and gone to heaven".

Jenna D.

Yelp
Super disappointing. We love fine dining but won't be back. The complimentary crab and salmon thing was so vile we both wanted to spit it out. Scotch cocktail and cabonara app were good but scallop app, lobster entree and halibut were all bland and unpleasant. Desserts were decent but by that point we were so bummed out we didn't want them. So over $400 down the drain.

Anna S.

Yelp
Mmmm ok let's see... First off we weren't aware that this place offered just prix fixe menu. The food was OK - maybe a little let down for the price. Service was excellent. The noise was a bit loud. We had difficulty hearing what our server was saying. I did like the beetroot tartine and my husband's halibut was good. My daughter liked her black bass too but wasn't too sure if the coddled eggs. Dessert was poor. My coconut Panna cotta just had quarter inch pannacotta that was covered in copious amounts of ice cream and way too many pineapples. The sushi while fresh wasn't A+ for flavors. For almost $550 with no alcohol the three of us didn't really have that much to eat. Bear in mind that 20% gratuity is already added to the bill. Overall, the food served is not what I have have come to expect of a fine dining restaurant. Not sure I can recommend.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Absolutely exquisite! The most luxurious fine dining experience I have ever had. The restaurant was beautiful and elegant, the staff was incredibly accommodating and don't even get me started on the food. Everything we ordered was plated so beautifully and absolutely delicious. The resort surrounding this restaurant is stunning as well. It is up there in cost but the quality is unmatched and well worth it. For your most special and/or romantic occasions, this place is a must.

Jane M.

Yelp
Amazing food, exceptional service, beautiful view. Stunning dining room. We have been three times and it never disappoints.
google avatar

Corinne T.

Yelp
The food is excellent and the atmosphere is beautiful, especially with the view of the lake. And the service is great and the food is excellent.

Stan R.

Yelp
Does not deserve its rating on Yelp. Loud noisy out of date furnishings and typical very overpriced resort food. They need to modernize the decor greatly improve the food both selection and pricing. The rating of a three star is really overdone and should be lower. Bottom like overpriced and out of date and extremely loud.

Tim R.

Yelp
It's not often I've written a review that has few highlights. The view from the dining room is beautiful, scenic, peaceful. That's where the positives end. This is a two star review ONLY because some elements of dinner were successful. This is not a rant, this is an accounting of a poor experience, it's your choice to dine here, I'd not recommend it. I believe the restaurant is understaffed. Upon arrival to a half full dining room, it still took time to be seated. It was another five minutes before a waiter came to greet us with a drink menu and a large oversized wine list book). Another extended wait before he came back to take a drink order. Still, the large book was sitting in front of me. After ordering wine, the book still resides on my plate. Drinks arrived and the waiter walked away without taking orders. Finally, he returns and we order. You guessed it! Another wait, and out comes several people with a palate cleanser. More than a half hour in and that's the experience. We had to ask for some bread, another wait and bread plates arrived with a few pieces. Next up, appetizers! Brought out, placed on the table, no plates for them. The food? Oysters were just fine. Burrata had a nice presentation and I'd give it a B. The Lobster carbonara? A small bowl for $40. Lacked any discernible lobster. The sauce was decent and came out piping hot. Would I do it again? Probably not. My daughter (this was her birthday) had the tasting menu. The tiny portion of carbonara lacked the same texture as the appetizer. It signaled to me that the kitchen didn't have good quality control. Back to the poor service. The meals arrived after another extended wait. Everyone at the table had time to use the rest room before the meal arrived. It was at least 20 minutes before the main course. The chicken dish was appealing and tasty. One daughter had the filet. She enjoyed it, yet it came out medium rare instead of medium. The pappardelle vegetarian dish was very good. The cod and halibut dinners were both dry and were only saved from abysmal failure by being doused with their sauces. Back to the tasting menu. It really had some nice elements. A deconstructed bagel presentation was tasty and visually appealing. The cod was such a small piece. A square about the size of a dollar coin. I don't expect any large portions in a tasting menu but this looked like a spare piece of fish. Last, the filet was almost the size of my other daughters filet. Just no control on portion sizing. It was medium well, she wanted medium. Last, dessert. We weee so miffed by how long each course was taking that I approached the manager away from the table. He was dumbstruck, unable to be responsive and didn't have a grasp on what his kitchen and wait staff were doing. This may be the root of this trouble. Other tables were also taking this extended visit for dinner. They also looked tired and perplexed by the poor service. There were several moments during dinner that no wait staff could be found on the floor with Sox tables being waited on. No one was present, where were they? This is a highly rated restaurant and it failed. I do read reviews and can see someone who just had an aberration in their experience. I think this is a systemic problem, possibly understaffing or just the poor management of staff. This is not an aberration. When you're a party of six, the tip 20% is added to the bill. I just wanted to leave when he offered to remove the drinks from the bill and promptly tell me that the tip would be added to the bill. A slap in the face to add $120 for getting poor service! As we waited while they huddled around a register, a bug found it's way into another daughters glass of water. Things happen, but you don't expect the response, "It's still alive so it must not have been in it very long!" No apology, no empathy, just a dumbstruck manager that doesn't have a grasp on the floor. If you're looking to spend an evening with family celebrating a birthday? Avoid this place. We had multiple great experiences during our time at the Cape. This was not one of them.

Yelp
The location is hard to beat - the views stunning, and the menu offers the best of fresh local seafood, garden vegetables and creative culinary skill We ate here first ten years ago, while staying at another inn (that cannot hold a candle to Wequassett) and during our walk around the grounds, found a spot we knew would be on our list of places to stay in the future. We have had the pleasure of two meals here this week, both exceptional - whether it's a simple soup or a squid and shrimp boudin- or last night's bluefin tuna line caught yesterday. A burrata mousse among fresh heirloom tomatoes stood out for summer freshness, and the lamb loin the best lamb dish I ever had the pleasure of passing by my lips. The staff are a pleasure to be with - they are from all parts of the world - we enjoy hearing their stories and sharing personal conversation while receiving five star service. If you are on the Cape, take time to dine here.

Yelp
Highly recommend times ten. Our waiter went out of his way to make my husbands birthday special. And there were so many special little touches the restaurant provides so you feel like a vip guest. Loved every minute of our meal and of our incredible view.

Yelp
I have a summer cottage (small) nearby and though I loved Jazz Nights or a drink here, felt dinner was quite pricey and just never did it. Well, my sister said "Let's splurge with our 88-yr-old mom." And we did and loved it all. Our tab for other wallet watchers (like me) about $110 up per person drink, app, main, cocktail, shared dessert. Impeccable view and service. Much attentiveness to my senior mother! She loved it. Food was the real hit. Highlights included lobster carbonara. Diver scallops, halibut on a cauliflower cous cous, an egg/potato/ asparagus app. Philadelphia dessert so good. They gave us great breads, an oyster soup taste (fantastic) and delicious box to go of caramelized sugar buns. What a touch of joy with that box. Loved posts from many others who also find the view, food, and service here to be special. Afterwards wondered out for some Cuban jazz. Glorious place.

Yelp
Twenty-Eight Atlantic gets much praise for being one of three 5 star restaurants in Massachusetts, but do they live up to the hype? The short answer is YES. We were seated promptly in the center along the wide window of the main dining room. The design of the restaurant was lovely, and the atmosphere was warm. The service was as you would expect from a 5-star restaurant. They were very attentive and provided great commentary behind the dishes. Now let's get to the main part, the food. Before appetizers, we were met with a small sweet corn gelato bite to prepare our pallet. They also provided terrific bread with garlic butter. For the apps, we ordered the pork belly and burrata. Both were absolutely splendid, especially the pork belly, WOW! Moving onto our main dishes, we had the chicken and the short ribs. Now you might ask why order chicken at a 5-star place, but you can quickly tell the attention they pay to all of their dishes. That chicken was about the best chicken dish I've ever tried. The shorts ribs were also melt in your mouth good. No need for a knife; they were so tender. Safe to say, we didn't leave room for dessert, but we were still treated to two bite-size offerings that were terrific. Twenty-Eight Atlantic is a place you must go to; just make sure you're ready to digest the bill.

Yelp
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here and loved it. From the moment we arrived until the last bite of wonderful food, we were taken such good care of - everyone was so welcoming and really made the night special. One to remember.

Yelp
The view and venue are definitely five star worthy. As well as the service (both outside by the fire and indoors at dinner). I thought that it was overpriced based on my experiences at similar restaurants elsewhere. The menu was somewhat limited. I had the sea bass, which was good and cooked perfectly. My mother chose the sirloin. It was a small portion; however, presented beautifully. They do have blue cheese olives, which I love.

Yelp
Belated update: we dined here twice in July and both times the food and service were outstanding. Hope the quality continues into the current year because we will be back.

Yelp
Beautiful room, good food, great friendly helpful service by the staff, but slow unsteady service out of the kitchen. I expected better.

Yelp
It's not often I say a restaurant is exceptional, but this place blew me out if the water. The view, service (especially), the drinks, and the food were all perfected to a T. This is one of my favorite restaurants on the cape and I highly recommend visiting ur you have the chance!!

Yelp
I arranged a 65th birthday dinner for my mother in law along with my wife , son and her other two daughters having spent a week in the area for a summer vacation! Not only were we stunned at the incredible view but our table was just perfect! The property s is gorgeous, the waitress and staff highly attentive and the food was simply incredible! My 9 year old was presented with the cutest 'boat' kids menu that made it even that much more memorable! For special occasions please consider this restaurant and time it at sunset! It's not cheap ($600 total with tip and alcohol) but well worth the memorable experience! We will be back ...one day

Yelp
This is one of several restaurants at Wequassett Resort and it certainly complements the quality and elegance of the overall establishment. The restaurant benefits, of course, from the wonderful location and surrounding water views, making for a most convivial setting for a leisurely meal. Service was courteous and attentive as one would expect. The food was quite good and well-executed: we started off with a tuna tartar appetizer, garnished with raspberries and yellow baby beets; I had a main entree of chicken roulade with a nicely crisped skin, accompanied with new asparagus and fresh morels; and followed by a light dessert comprised of a cream cheese mousse, chocolate cherry ice cream, all nestled on a base of crushed Breton cookies (kind of like a deconstructed cheesecake). All in all, a very pleasant and relaxing experience and well worth penciling in for a return visit!

Yelp
I found this restaurant after searching "fancy restaurants in Cape Cod" into a search engine, they offered both indoor and outdoor seating which is perfect considering everything that is going on right now. Unfortunately, there was no more outdoor seating when we arrived but I didn't mind inside as I'm partial to AC. The restuarant has a gorgeous scenic view that looks out onto the water. The view could be seen from any table both in and outdoors. There is also a bar with fire pits on the lower level which is like a garden that also looks out on the water. It's a great place to sit back after dinner and to have a few drinks and take some nice pictures. Our waiter was just ok, he wasn't very attentive an I found myself having to call out his name or wave him down just to get their attention. He also failed to send out our peach and goat cheese bread that I was really looking forward to trying. Now onto the good part, the food! For appetizers we ordered one of the specials which was oysters topped with tuna and caviar, it was so good we ordered a second serving after eating the first. The oysters were incredibly fresh! Additionally we also had plain oysters, clam chowder, a lobster roll, and a kale salad to start. My friends and I had no complaints, everything was delicious despite the the exaggerated prices. Yes, I am aware that I listed a lot of items for our appetizers but when you see how little food they give you for your main course you'll do the same. Three out of the four of my friends ordered the lobster and scallops as our main course and one person had the duck. Although the food was delicious its was overpriced for the portions size, 1 lobster claw and half a tail was $54, for that price I expect the entire tail. But I guess you pay for ambiance. Overall, it's a nice place for a celebration when you want to splurge and eat with your pinky up. If I went back again I would probably stick to small shared plates. As they were both yummy and cost effective.

Yelp
We had a date here and it was one of the best dining experiences. The food, the view, the service, everything was top notch. So happy we found this place. We will be back next year.

Yelp
This is perfection! Service, food, venue is divine. Beautifully appointed dining room with a stunning view of the bay. No bad table. Impeccable, friendly and well trained staff and service. Exquisite food. Great wine list ( not crazy prices )

Yelp
Not overpriced at all, in fact an excellent value considering the luxury of the room, the quality of the ingredients, the personal "fine dining" service, and the lovely and thoughtful preparation and presentation of the food. We both enjoyed the chef's tasting menu which is well priced and offers a lovely sampling of the maestro's creations. Our only small observation is that the main course, which included a steak perfectly cooked medium rare as ordered, was not fillet mignon (which would have paired beautifully with the accompanying perfect very large scallop) but was instead a lesser cut of beef, possibly rump or top sirloin. Nevertheless we enjoyed the great meal, excellent service, and the lovely venue. Surely we will not hesitate to return.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, I love this restaurant! The staff treated us like royalty for our anniversary dinner here this past August. We had the most beautiful table with stunning views of Pleasant Bay and amazing food and a nice wine chosen from their very well thought out wine list. I had lobster carbonara which was to die for. The best part of the evening was how graciously they treated our 8 year old daughter (who is very good, even in fancy restaurants). They brought her a stuffed seal and made her feel so special. Thank you, 28 Atlantic staff, for an unforgettable evening!

Yelp
Very toney place, great for impressing your boss, etc. Food, as expected, is overpriced for the quantity you get--typical Cuisine Minciere. But the real problem is service. The servers themselves are quite nice, but in crowded times the kitchen seems to break down handling orders. We waited 45 minutes for our mains, and after grabbing our waiter, was advised there had been an error in the kitchen. The portions people received seemed rather uneven. Recommend you order the tasting menu for 2 ifyou do go as they seem more obliged to fill the plates

Yelp
This was by far our most incredible dinner in my entire summer in cape cod. It starts with the or groups resort and the absolutely stunning views from the windows of this restaurant, with sky high ceilings and windows all the way up. They do have a strict dress code and it was the fanciest dinner we had, and probably the priciest, but i would do it all again in a heartbeat for the quality and service they 28 Atlantic provides. Everything from the bread to the tiny gratis tuna sashimi crostini appetizer and homemade miniature cookies to finish the meal was perfection, the wait staff was SO knowledgable and attentive, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. As for the food....I'm still dreaming about it and my meal certainly was the most glorious. I forwent the appetizers, but the small cucumber tomato and burrata salad my family got was dainty and delicious and the bread served was wonderful as well. You may opt to add lobster (or any fish for that matter) to your entree for $15 - SERIOUSLY A STEAL GUYS. I ordered the steak which was so perfectly prepared I cannot explain, seasoned and salted to perfection with root vegetables. And yes I added the surf to my turf - and it came with a small, whole lobster - YES two claws and a full tail neatly shelled for me (because why put in the work when you're paying this much, right?). It was exquisite to say the least. The fish, chicken, large whole lobster, and all the rest of our table's meals were spectacular and we basically licked our plates. The presentation of the desserts is also friggin amazing and I highly recommend the deconstructed cheesecake because it was so light and fluffy, and my dads "fruit soup" for lack of a better description was so unique as well. I fully plan on returning and reliving this dining experience the moment I set foot back on cape cod.

Yelp
My husband and I came here on our honeymoon for the first time and had an absolutely incredible meal. We give 5 stars for both the delicious meals we had as well as the service from Eduardo. We were greeted by very accommodating staff, provided a complimentary app as well as dessert and a gift of congratulations during our dinner reservation. Eduardo was incredibly accommodating, kind and sweet. You absolutely get what you pay for and more. We are already planning our next visit!

Yelp
My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at the Chatham Bars Inn and made dinner reservations at a very popular upscale restaurant at the House on the Ocean in Dennis but decided to try 28 Atlantic at the very last minute. We called at 4:30pm and were given a 7:00pm reservation on the 28's opening night of the 2019 season. Thank God we did! The receptionist asked if were celebrating anything and I mentioned that it was our 20th wedding anniversary and simply wanted to upgrade our dining choice. We arrived at 6:50pm and decided to grab a quick drink at Thoreau's. We sat in super comfy leather chairs in front of the fire place and felt very comfortable in the dimly lit English style pub. The young lady from Macedonia provided leather bound menus that resembled a small novel and asked if she could bring us some bar snacks. I ordered a Belvedere and soda (which was poured at our table) and my wife had a Cosmo. The service was impeccable and professional. I didn't want to eat any bar snacks because I wanted to wait for dinner, but my wife said yes to her offering. The snacks arrived in four white china bowls on a white china plate. The array consisted of a fresh olive assortment soaked in delicious olive oil, what appeared to be homemade, thick cut BBQ potato chips, a liberal serving of delicious nuts and, my favorite, carb-free pork rinds that also appeared to be homemade! Absolutely the most impressive bar snacks that I have ever seen! Our drinks were picked up at our table and we were escorted to our table. Without checking in or providing a credit card, we were greeted by our names and wished a very happy 20th anniversary by our dinner server Angel - who was most impressive - but more to come on her. We were surprised that they knew our names and more surprised that they acknowledged our anniversary when i had only quickly mentioned it earlier on the phone. Our table was on the window overlooking a beautiful bay and desolate coastline. The service was intentionally slow. With eight children and a hurried, flurry of life awaiting us outside of the Wequasett, we so appreciated the time to just be together escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We ordered another drink with my wife selecting a cabernet that was reasonably priced and deliciously full. The glass of wine was poured at the table and the bottle was presented elegantly as my wife tasted the wine. Angel, who always addressed us from across the table in front of us, then brought complimentary glasses of champagne again, poured at the table and wished us again, a very happy anniversary. The menu was exquisite. My wife opted for a salad and a vegetarian dish which was the "best risotto ever". I chose the chef's tasting, a 5 course meal for $105.00. As dusk settled to night, we could still see the bay and all of it beautiful sites. By the way, the dining room was gorgeous! Well decorated, immaculate and the light fixtures and paintings were impressive! We were presented with palate cleansing starters. Mine was a small ahi tasting that was refreshing and delicious. They remembered that my wife had ordered a vegetarian meal and brought her tomato bisque that she loved. After every serving, the table was cleared of utensils and the staff ensured that we were satisfied. The squid ink brown bread and local lavender white bread melted in our mouths. The two choices of spread was seaweed butter spread and another (?), were awesome! Next was my first of 5 courses, local Chatham oysters harvested from the bay directly in front of the Wequasset were meaty and the accompanying lemon cocktail sauce was just as delicious. The 2nd course was lobster carbonara with a delicious touch of pancetta. Absolutely amazing - a must when visiting 28 Atlantic! The lobster really does melt in your mouth! With a timely break between each course, we got to relax and enjoy our 20th Anniversary. My first entree was the Native Black Sea Bass, fresh off a Chatham fishing boat was seared to perfection, tasty and just large enough to fill my appetite, but leave me desiring more. The leek royale and potato lyonnaise were also a wonderful accompaniment! Knowing my local farm beef tenderloin were coming soon, I was starting to get full and wasn't sure that I could eat more food (remember the bar snacks at Thoreau's that I didn't want, but ate them all- LOL), or would enjoy it - I was wrong! The tenderloin went down quickly because they were so good! Even the locally grown fresh petit carrots and yummy onion went down without delay. At last, 2.5 hours later, desert was coming. Which we didn't think we would be able to eat because we were both so full. But first, Angel appeared with two cream cones smothered in espresso bits and a chocolate bar engraved with "Happy Anniversary". The honey ice cream with fresh bee pollen 5th course sent us home desiring a return visit! Every server was top notch! Best meal on Cape Cod - no question.
