Rasam soup…. Was some hot chili powder in some hot water…I could go on… the Sambhaar was hopeless too… the masala tea needed a lot of help.. one of the worst masala tea ever. Things we ordered was Onion hot chili Uthapam, masala dosa, paper dosa, idli Manchurian.. tomato soup. .. average food. Won’t be back… unless things change drastically change out here. When they say the place closes at 9 pm… the last order closes at 8:30-45 pm.. So we came here with the place being rated good by a patron and he acknowledge… “ This place is not the same” They left a 20% discount coupon that we ignored…the guy came back saying Sir you forgot the coupon.. no we didn’t, we didn’t forget, we didn’t want it

The food we tried are mysore masala dosa, idly, vada and floating idlies. Idlies seems to be not fresh, and the dosa taste was ok.

Delicious dosas and south delicacies, would be amazing if they served peanut chutney, staff was very nice and gentle!

We tried this place for the first time and absolutely loved it! They have a good range of food options, the place helps the community by hiring senior citizens to work their and earn a living (just loved this part). The food tasted really very good! we tried a lot of different dishes and they all tasted mind blowing. This is my new to go restaurant in Chicago! The prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again! Keep up the good work.

Breakfast items and thali options are good. Everything tastes fresh and good. However looks like idly was just made with rava so it missed the authentic taste I what I felt. Coconut chutney was excellent. Thali had everything except sweet, may be there should add any to full fill the meal. Chapathi and poori was freshly made. Staff was good and maintained the restaurant well.

Horrible food. Sambar was burnt out smell...Mysore masala and pesarattu teast was below standard. No pally chutney for dosa and pesarattu. They need to learn how to make upma, pesarattu, masala dosa , Idli and all types of chetnies. Nothing nearer to the taste of typical south Indian or Udupi standards .

I went during lunch time and ordered a sada mysore dosa. The portion was quite small compared to other dosa spots I have been to. Sambar was alright. Coconut chutney was great. Dosa was pleasantly crispy and fragrant but I wish the flavors of the mysore were more prominent. I like my food relatively spicy and thought Udupi did a great job with the spiciness of every component.

Service was good but the food was not that great. We went there for brunch and mostly ordered breakfast items. Some of them were not cooked well and some were just tasteless. We liked the chollee bhature though.
