The Best Soft Serve In San Francisco - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Uji Time in Japantown does fantastic soft serve and taiyaki, which you can get filled with red bean paste or Nutella. They have a range of seasonal flavors from cherry blossom to Thai tea, as well as standbys like matcha and black sesame. Swirl a couple of flavors, and top it with sprinkles or matcha Pocky." - julia chen 1, lani conway, patrick wong

The Best Ice Cream Shops in San Francisco | Eater SF

"Uji Time, which began in Berkeley and has since expanded to San Francisco and beyond, is known for its adorable fish-shaped cones stuffed with soft serve. The famed cone, called taiyaki, is a take on the traditional Japanese dessert. Here it’s filled with flavors like matcha, black sesame, and ube, along with a seasonal option and a multitude of toppings. In addition to the taiyaki cones, which take extra time to prepare, other choices include waffle cones and cups." - Paolo Bicchieri

"The social media-friendly taiyaki from Uji Time may not be the most structurally sound vehicle for a frozen dessert that melts, but that doesn’t stop us from coming to the Japantown spot for excellent black sesame and matcha soft serve. The move is to order the chewy, fish-shaped cakes on the side, so they won’t get soggy." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez

Google
I loved the Ube & Matcha ice cream! The taiyaki was also delicious, crispy on the outside and soft inside. It’s the perfect spot to grab a sweet treat during a visit to Japantown. Even with a queue of 4 or 5 people ahead of me, the service was really fast. I had my ice cream in under 10 minutes. Highly recommend stopping by🍦

Google
I’m definitely a dessert lover, but honestly, softy ice cream and hard ice cream are just okay for me. 😅 Today we tried a popular spot that had a huge line—still not sure why! There were five of us, and we ordered just two ice creams because the portions were massive. We even noticed a lot of people throwing theirs away after just a few bites—it’s just too much! 😬 Wish they would offer smaller sizes at a lower price. Sometimes less is more!

Google
Great ice cream. We had the lychee as well as the black sesame. They were delicious. Would recommend to stop by if you are feeling like some Asian inspired dessert.

I just sat down with this and listened to 4 high school girls roast each other in the most brutal ways ever. “The amount of split ends she has is probably the amount of breakups ave has” “Your hair looks like the girl from the ring.” “Your face looks like a pepperoni pizza with all those pimples” I spent $9 for icecream. And had a conversation experience worth $20 Oh and the ice cream is Awsome, didn’t realize how well biscoff could go with this.

Google
Tried Uji Time in SF for the first time and overall, it was a great experience! We got three different soft serve flavors — Black Sesame, Mango, and Matcha — along with three types of their mochi ice cream. Everything was so delicious and definitely worth trying if you're into unique dessert flavors. The Black Sesame might not be everyone's favorite since it has a more earthy, nutty taste — but I actually enjoyed it! My favorite was the Mango and Matcha — both were super refreshing and not overly sweet. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the Matcha drink. For $7, I was expecting a bold matcha flavor, but it honestly just tasted like milk with barely any matcha. Definitely a little disappointing. If you're planning to visit, I'd say stick to the soft serve and mochi ice cream — those are worth coming back for! 🍦✨

Google
Always down to have the matcha ice cream or any matcha drink here. Had the ube ice cream and it was equally amazing! Creamy, not too sweet (wish its a bit even less sweet), and smooth in the mouth. Love the flavor, not too artificial while tasty

Google
I am a fan of Uji time desert. I ordered a mochi-black sesame soft serve swirl, and it was delicious. The only problems I had with it was that the black sesame didn't taste enough like black sesame. The taiyaki was good, and I loved the red bean paste but inside. It was a little soft though and I would love it if it was more chewy. If I eat near here, I will be coming back. Also, its a lot of ice cream but I managed it!

Google
I like to have their ice cream occasionally, mostly when I’m in Japan town for some event or catch up with a friend. I like the overall aesthetics of a taiyaki cone and how the soft serve looks with cute toppings but the ice cream is so soft that you barely have time to enjoy it. Last time I had it in a sunny day and it became a real challenge “eat in 2 minutes” otherwise I risked getting my clothes stained 🥲 The service is very fast here, you order using their tablet and get your ice cream a few minutes after. During Japan town events you might have to stand in line to order but it moves pretty fast.

Yelp
Very delicious soft serve! But there will be a wait~ Uji time is very much known for matcha desserts. So the first visit I tried a matcha soft serve in taiyaki cone. It's a fish shaped egg waffle that is toasty crispy on the outside and spongy on the inside. I like to get red bean as filling. The soft serve is very good! Sweet but not too sweet. The second visit I tried the ube one. It's smooth but more icy than creamy. I actually prefer less creamy cuz it feels less heavy. The ube one is sweeter than matcha. But both are delicious! The shop is small so you would be eating in the hall way. But that's ok. You order on the screen and wait for your treats. Service is not super fast but taiyaki cone does take a while to be freshly made so a wait is expected.

Yelp
I liked their sesame ice cream. Tofu soft serve was no for me (one bite was enough). Ube tasted a little too fake. The pink taiyaki was chewy inside but crispy outside and it was delicious. However it is hard to eat as the soft serve starts to melt very quickly....perhaps it is better to order in a cup and taiyaki on top. Did not love the automatic tip charge (there is no skip, you literally have to click other amount and put $0). Meanwhile, you order ar kiosk and do everything yourself....no seating inside the store either.

Yelp
Uji Time Dessert is perfect place for soft serve ice cream with Taiyaki (fish shaped waffle cake) in Japan Town. I like their crunchy Taiyaki and not overly sweet ice cream - many desserts are typically too sweet for me including Boba where I have to request less sugar. Uji Time has seasonal flavors they cycle through with Matcha, Black Sesame, and Ube always on their menu with many toppings to choose from. They also have milkshakes, mochi, wagashi, and warabi. I've been here many times since they've opened and although it can get busy at times, the line usually goes by faster than expected and the order comes out around 5-10 minutes later. Uji Time is a good place to begin or end the day while at Japan Town.

Yelp
I love a sweet treat after a meal, so my friends and I came to check this place out! There is a seasonal flavor (blueberry when we went), and there is a diversity of items in the menu! The service was quick, though there is no where to sit within the actual location. Nonetheless, there are many benches outside to sit and eat, or we could walk around and eat our dessert. I got the ube with a Nutella-filled fish cone that I very much enjoyed. You also get two free toppings! I would definitely come again as this was definitely a 10/10 experience :)

Yelp
I have been coming to Uji for years now and they never disappoint! I was initially drawn to this place because of the fish cone but the matcha and black sesame ice cream is amazing!! They have a great selection of toppings and the best part is the red bean paste in the tayaki!! Highly recommend this place in Japantown and kids love it too.
google avatar

Sanskruti D.

Yelp
The ice cream was decent, but it honestly didn't stand out in any remarkable way. I was really looking forward to it, so it was a bit disappointing to find that the cones didn't seem to be up to par. Mine had an unusual flavor that made it hard for me to enjoy the ice cream fully, and I ended up leaving quite a bit behind. At $6.75, I expected more, which made it feel a bit over-priced for what I experienced. I had heard about the fish cone and it seemed like it could have been a fun option, but unfortunately, the staff didn't suggest it to me, which left me feeling a bit lost in my choice. Overall, it was a letdown, but I hope others have a better experience!

Yelp
It was super easy to get to in the mall and there wasn't a queue when we arrived. Tucked away in a corner of the West Japan Center mall, we stepped up to take our order on a small ordering screen and can smell the sweetness of desserts through the door. We tried 2 combos of flavors: ube/mango and matcha/black sesame. We loved the ube/mango and thought the matcha/black sesame was a bit too bitter (maybe our palates aren't right for this one, so if you love these flavors definitely try it). Soft serve and not too sugary. The team making our desserts was so sweet and the service was quick. We would definitely come back again to try new flavors.

Yelp
This store is located in the opposite of the bridge in Japantown. The ice cream such as matcha and sesame tasted delicious with a great variety of topping selections, and the fish shaped cone was tasty also. The service was quick after placing and paying from a self-ordering kiosk. The ice cream melted quickly, so you should take your chances to eat it as speedily as you can for the integrity of the dessert.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday night not packed at all and got the tofu soft swerve and we were allowed to taste before we got. This was straight fire in terms of flavor and consistency. Service was mad fast! its a take out place but there is a lot of seating right outside the area. We have never seen tofu as a flavor but it was on point and need to have this flavor in NYC soon ! Would come to SF just for this !
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Came again because I wanted a friend to try out the Taiyaki cone. We got the limited flavor (blueberry) + ube swirl. The soft serve tasted fine, but I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't really any filling. We chose the red bean filling for the taiyaki but there was probably less than one bite of it.
google avatar

Liz P.

Yelp
Overall, everything we ordered was pretty tasty. However, the self-service kiosk system slows down the process. Ordering is confusing because the menu is not well-organized, and there's no staff to assist, leading to long lines. Once you place your order, the food comes out quickly, as they prioritize production over cashier duties, which is where most of the wait time occurs. There are no tables and chairs to sit but customers can lounge around the stairwell. The location isn't special or visually appealing but it's probably better rent overhead. Despite this, the food is good and worth its rating, with prices matching the quality. It's a great mall to spend a few hours shopping, eating sushi, ramen, or udon, and then enjoying drinks and dessert. If you enjoy Japanese culture, this area is the go-to spot.

Yelp
I recently tried the Mango Sago from Uji Time Dessert and loved the sheer amount of sago that came in the drink. Usually places will skimp on it, but the cup was literally filled with sago this time! It was the perfect amount of sweetness, not too much. Price was typical for their drinks and it was made quickly. One downside of this restaurant is that a lot of their menu items were not available. I'd say at least 25-30% of their offerings were marked as unable to order which was really disappointing. Regardless, what they did offer still looked good.
google avatar

Yelp
This was absolutely amazing! I had the matcha and black sesame ice cream, and it was perfectly balanced--delicious and not overly sweet.
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
I was craving for matcha ice cream while visiting Japantown and decided to stop by for a cool bite. Located on the first floor, there is a self-service kiosk at the entrance to place your order. The options may be overwhelming, as it also can be time-consuming to review the different options to choose from. There is also limited seating while you wait for your order to come out. Once the order was placed, we only needed to wait for a couple minutes for the ice cream to come out. The matcha flavor was on the lighter side and a nice, refreshing balance. Perfect size to cool off during this Bay Area heat wave!
google avatar

Yelp
The OG spot that needs no further reviews. Three words, location, location, and location. It's not like this place is exceptionally unique or tasty, but it has been in Japan town for a long time, and it has grown on people. Their ice cream and other sweets are definitely worth trying. I love their Asian inspired flavors, so milky, creamy, and thick. The service is always quick, nothing much communication but it's quick.
google avatar

Chrisleigh P.

Yelp
The staff was so sweet! The let me try the tofu soft serve which is very different but good if you like dairy free! The strawberry mochi was delicious!!
google avatar

Wesley T.

Yelp
Uji time is a great place to get your fix of soft serve ice cream! I came here to cool down from cherry blossom festival in Japantown. Due to the event, I had to wait a while, but I believe that the wait would be short on any other day. I ordered on the self-serve tablet and got my treat shortly after. I got the matcha/sakura soft serve swirl with a tayaki, and it was delightful (8/10). The tayaki was crispy on the outside and had a nice crunch to it. The Sakura flavor reminds me of a mix of rose and milk tea, and was quite interesting. The matcha flavor was solid, but definitely could be stronger. The soft serve had a semi-thick texture, and does melt quickly, so be aware of that. Overall, it was a wonderful deserts and I would recommend it.
google avatar

Janice P.

Yelp
I always make it point to come by here for takoyaki and desserts. The lines are usually long but I got lucky this visit. My favorite is the black sesame and rise lychee. Black sesame wasn't available but rose lychee was. I ordered the rose lychee and ube takoyaki with red bean filling and match pocky sticks. Definitely recommend trying their different desserts.

Yelp
Quick take: very bizarre experience I was in J-town yesterday. Stopped by Uji Time and had the most bizarre experience. Sign says open. Hours on the window says they are open. Ordering kiosk was on the inside of the door but facing outward. Door was unlocked and slightly open. We opened the door and someone waved at us signaling they are closed. The gentleman didn't say anything to us. Might not be an English speaker. Please post a sign and lock the door if you are not open. Very confusing situation. Went across to the other side for matcha soft serve.

Yelp
I stopped by Uji Time to try their tofu-flavored ice cream. I ordered from a tablet outside of the restaurant. Easy enough! They had the store blocked off and my ice cream was brought out to me. The ice cream flavor was so unique! It was sweet, creamy tofu goodness. My one minor complaint was the taiyaki. I prefer a chewier taiyaki and theirs was a bit breadier than I'm used to. If go back, I may just get it in a cup. But that's just personal preference! The ice cream was great; I'd love to get it again next time I'm in Japantown.
google avatar

Allie P.

Yelp
Similar to Maiko? Will find out! There are a couple kiosks outside their front door - this is where you order. They will bring your order out their front door for pick up. I had the Taiyaki cone with a mixture of the matcha and black sesame soft serve. Getting it not in a cup was messy to eat - the soft serve melted super fast - or like the edges would have little droplets run down quick. I would advise maybe getting it in a cup to avoid drip-age. Other than that, it was not bad and would get again!
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
The iconic Uji Time! This placed used to be super popular when fish taiyakis were the "it thing." I definitely think the hype has died down though - I haven't visited this place in probably over 5 years. My favorite part about Uji Time was their tofu ice cream, which was pretty unique to the shop. They've since removed it from their regular menu unfortunately, replacing it with ube. Fortunately when I visited, tofu happened to be their seasonal flavor! At this location, you order outside of the store on the tablet. An employee later comes out with your order, and you pick it up at the door. For seating, there's only a few benchs around so you'd have to get lucky if it's a crowded day. Compared to other taiyaki dessert places... I've found that Uji Time's ice cream tends to be on the frostier side, which I appreciate since it helps it hold up better.
google avatar

Edrian D.

Yelp
Yummy yummy, yummy for my tummy! The road to sugar rush starts here. Self serve checkout and 5 mins later - tada! The ube and chocolate swirl is a match made in heaven. Funny enough I'm not a chocolate ice cream lover, but the ube pairs so well with chocolate it's almost like you're eating ube brownies! To top it off the candies - sugar me up! Staff were friendly and quick. I'm glad the employee reminded me to get napkins because it can get a bit messy if you don't eat ice cream fast. Nestled in Japan Town right across Daiso - come one come all! Will I come here again? It's more of a need than a want, so the answer is yes!
google avatar

Yelp
Decent taiyaki and matcha ice cream Was getting some din in Japantown and craving some dessert so stopped by here. Got the taiyaki cone in a cup. The matcha pocky was a nice touch. The ice cream was a little plain and not nearly as much matcha flavor as I would like. The taiyaki wasn't the freshest and lacked the crispiness that I like. Plus it was a little too eggy for me. The red bean filling was delicious though. Overall, decent
google avatar

Darina H.

Yelp
Delicious! We were around J-Town and needed something sweet! Our kids go the white peach ice cream since it was seasonal and it was quite delicious! My husband and I ordered mochi ice cream (Ube, Matcha and Sesame). SO GOOD! It was easy to order via the iPad and our items were ready quite quickly! There isn't a ton of space to sit (either the benches or somewhere upstairs). I can't wait to come back here again for more!
google avatar

Melinda L.

Yelp
Fair place for a quick scoop or cone of ice cream. I don't really see the hype here other than a few options for ice cream. They have flavors such as Hojicha, Black Sesame and Ube. Flavor is good, but again nothing that stands out as: you-gotta-have-this or anything. For a single scoop in a cup, it's $5.75, and you'll get almost a scoop and a half. So you really don't need to double scoop! It will fill your ice cream cravings. If you're in Japantown and in the mall, worth a try. But don't need to come here from far away. You won't FOMO. Promise!
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
uji time is so solid every time i go. nothing is better than a delicious matcha ice cream paired with some warm takoyaki. just thinking about it is enough to make my mouth yearn for some. their service is very quick, and i like how you're able to choose which toppings and what filling you like. i always opt for the ice cream + takoyaki combo, and you get 2 free toppings! it's surprisingly filling for $7-8, and it's consistently delicious. you can also opt for an ice cream swirl if you want to try multiple flavors! their mochi is also pretty solid. give this place a try if you're a matcha fan!!
google avatar

Alisa B.

Yelp
Honestly mediocre. I used to come here pre-pandemic for their tofu ice cream, which was soooo good! I was bummed to see it was no longer on the menu (Summer 2023)... so I ordered the Honeydew Melon Soft Serve instead. It wasn't anything special. Tasted like a typical Melona Bar - nothing more, nothing less. Not bad! I definitely do NOT recommend their mochi ice cream here. We got a couple pieces of the Lychee Mochi and it was frozen like a rock! We let it thaw a little and - to my surprise - the lychee ice cream inside was sour! I was not a fan and cannot believe they were $2.75 each!
google avatar

Karlee J.

Yelp
Sooooo yummy and freshing! The seasonal white peach is something I'll be coming back for!! This would be an amazing permanent flavor. My husband also loved the matcha. iPad ordering and quick delivery after. Located in Japan town mall (east side) near diaso.
google avatar

Emily R.

Yelp
Food: 4 Taiyaki is perfectly soft and crispy on the outside, with generous amounts of ice cream! There's something a little off about the matcha flavor - tastes slightly chemically. But the ube is worth it every time. Service & Ambiance: 4 The line is long but moves quickly since the ordering is done digitally. You'll have to walk with your food or find seating throughout Japantown since there isn't much outside the restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious soft serve matcha ice cream. Hit the spot after a delicious sushi dinner! Would definitely come back. We added honey & matcha powder as our toppings and they were great additions. Great size. Two of these costed us around $11. They accept Apple Pay which was very convenient Order on an iPad & enter in your number to know when your order is ready. Was pretty quick as we went on a Tuesday night. No where for you to sit down and eat inside, but lots of benches outside in the mall or take it outside and walk around. Grab and go spot.
google avatar

Minia L.

Yelp
The ice cream was just average for me, but my niece adored it! We chose two flavors. One being the matcha/strawberry swirl topped off with Oreo crumbs and a chocolate swirl stick in a cone/cup. Two, the ube taiyaki topped off with Pockey and chocolate sticks served in a cone/cup adding a flavorful boost. I found the ice cream flavors a bit lacking for my taste, as I prefer more intense flavors. The taiyaki lacked the crispiness I crave, but my niece thought it was perfect. Overall, it was mediocre. I might not indulge in the calories here, but will I be taking my niece back? Absolutely. And will I be treating myself when I'm with her? You bet! Although there was a long line, the employees were exceptionally friendly. The establishment does not offer indoor dining. It only provides pickup service. Located inside Japan town close to Daiso.

Yelp
While in SF visiting Japantown, Uji Time was a must with the warm summer weather. We were in a need of a sweet, cool treat! Its located on the East side of the Japanese Peace plaza shopping area near Daiso on the lower level. Although lines can sometimes be long, wait times are usually not too bad as they are usually pretty quick at getting orders out. Since covid, you don't really go inside the store. They have screens you order out front. You pick the type of cone you'd like (Taiyaki or waffle) or a cup, filling in the Taiyaki if you ordered this one, type of soft serve, and toppings. You pick one flavor of ice cream (unless you do the swirl) and two toppings. Not only do they do cones, you can even order pints! Other than soft serve, they also have mochi ice cream and pudding desserts. Once ordering, you wait for your number to be called and they hand it to you by the table outside of the store. During this visit, I ordered their Mochi Taiyaki cone filled with Nutella, Ube soft serve, topped with pearls and pocky sticks. The Mochi Taiyaki cone was perfect! It was slightly crisp with that nice mochi chewiness and filled generously on the inside with the Nutella goodness. The Ube soft serve was creamy and sweet but not overly sweet. The pearls made a nice topping as it gave a nice, slight crisp to each bite of soft serve. When in Japantown, we try to hit up Uji Time for our sweet treat. The ordering process is easy, service is quick and although its closed to the public from going inside, there is plenty of seating nearby to enjoy your treat at.

Yelp
Was eating nearby and thought I'd try them out over their competitor. Buried in the East wing of Japantown they appear to still be utilizing Covid social protocols with order stations sitting outside of the store. While I think that it is a pretty good system, I stood first in line behind the two ordering stations as the people in front of me took over 5 minutes just to place and pay for their order. This gave me plenty of time to choose what I wanted That said choosing your order is simple as they have very few flavor options and they were not what I prefer: Ube Matcha and Black Sesame. They did have a specialty Peach. I took the upside down Maatcha and Peach swirl. It was good and was a nice portion. The experience was fine but the lack of human interaction other than some guy calling my name and handing me my cup kind of made it less of an experience. The lack of flavors as well as the apparent uncleanliness of the food prep area also are part of the average score.
google avatar

Yelp
Uji Time (another location) was the first place I've ever had taiyaki ice cream almost a decade ago, and it's always nice to stop by this location in Japantown. Since then, I've discovered other places with better taiyaki ice cream, but this place is still somewhat nostalgic to me. When you're here, you have to get the taiyaki! The taiyaki is the star of the show, and it's absolutely delicious. Meanwhile, the soft ice cream is decent but isn't as rich in flavor as I'd like. So far I've tried the matcha, black sesame, ube, and some seasonal ice cream flavors. Note that there is no access to seating at this location, which has been the case since covid. You simply pay at a counter outside the storefront and wait for your order to be prepared. There is plenty of seating around the mall if you're looking to find a place to sit though.

Yelp
Lining up in front of the store and ordering through app. It was fast and easy. Come with 2 free toppings! What a way to run business!! Mocha ice cream was delicious and with perfectly cooked sweet red bean inside. The perfect combination . Taiyayi (fish shape waffle) was not too sweet and delicious . Next time will try sesame flavor

Yelp
This place always hits. It's much better to get with a cup because the ice cream can start melting quickly. Ube is by far the best flavor. Only bad thing is it closes quite early so it can be hard to have a post-dinner dessert. Service is ultra quick, virtually no wait even with a long line. There are some benches that you can sit at to enjoy the treat.
google avatar

Aaron O.

Yelp
Not a big fan of sweets but I went by on a saturday and decided to try it. The line was long per usual but everything moved pretty fast. You can get a tayaki cone or waffle cone or cup with various flavors that rotates. There is red bean filling inside the tayaki cone and also a bunch of toppings to satisfy your cravings. A must stop by if you are in the japantown area!

Yelp
Okay I just have to say that this place is SOOO incredibly good. You order on an iPad by the door and your order is ready in about 10 mins (please be mindful it's a small business and wait times depends on busy hours)! I ordered the black sesame with ube and Oreo crumbs.. 10/10 would recommend. My friend ordered ube with matcha and a mochi cone filled with Nutella. Incredible, we finished both!

Yelp
Uji Time never disappoints when you want a quick dessert after a meal in Japantown. I love red bean filling in warm taiyaki, so adding ice cream on top of that is a winning combo in my book. I had the honeydew and ube swirl to try something different, but I think I'd just get ube next time as the honeydew was just okay. Pocky and rice pearls are also a nice touch that I'd get again.

Yelp
Arrived here during Cherry Blossom festival and lines were quite long, but the wait time wasn't so bad. We hop on to the kiosk, and notice some items were out but that's ok. We decided to order the matcha ice cream with the Sakura soft swerve swirl in a cup. Staff will call your name when order is ready. Though they didn't give us the "swirl" of the soft serve, we def enjoy it and you can taste the quality of the matcha was exceptional.

Yelp
Delicious dessert. Loved the tablet ordering system and our order came quickly. I got a Ube swirl with mango in a cup and my husband got the same in a cone with extra red bean.

Yelp
Summer is here and we are all screaming (most of us) for ice cream. Uji Time serves soft serves ice cream with flavors like matcha, red bean, black sesame, etc. They can do the taiyaki aisukurimu (soft serve with the fish pastry cone) or in a cup. Either way, fun way to eat ice cream and welcome summer. Located inside Japantown's Peace Plaza - East Mall. Efficient and ambiance is not much as you buy it to go and eat outside.

Yelp
Came here after dinner to grab some ice cream! We got the ube soft serve in a cone and the ube flavor was pretty strong! The ice cream was creamy and the portion was big! They had tofu flavor soft serve as well but it was only available during the first weekend of each month and we were not in SF at that time. Would really love to come back to try the tofu flavor though!

Yelp
I ordered them ahead of times thru DoorDash, However, they were still not ready. The little boy who worked there didn't know what was going on and asked me what I ordered even though I showed him the order detail. He then walked to get the iPad and then started to get my order ready. It took a while before I got my order. I wondered if there was any point to order ahead. I only felt better that the ice cream favors were yummy.

Yelp
I got the mochi ice cream with matcha, espresso flavor. It was an amazing dessert. There was the right balance of sweetness and flavor. It costed ~$9 for the three pieces which feels a tad expensive, but it was worth it. Definitely something to try!

Yelp
Yummy spot inside Japan Center Malls! It's located on the east side of the bottom floor. There's a kiosk you order at and they hand the food out right at the front. I got matcha in a cup for $5! Such a steal and it took literally two minutes! Definitely recommend for a quick bite if you're craving something sweet!
