I feel like I always say wow in my reviews lol and I truly mean it when I use it. Now, this place is SERIOUSLY 5 start quality food. It's authentic and filled with so much flavor. I highly highly recommend checking this out before Universals Studios Hollywood, or if you're in the area!I I got the combo plate that had a little of everything and it was a loaded plate.

Wow this is the best tasty and fresh and legit bbq place. We’ve eaten the entire menu here and so impressed with the flavors of the food. You can really tell the level of care and craft going into their cooking.

My girlfriend brought home some beef ribs which I love but haven’t been able to find good BBQ near us, till this place. I bit off giant mouth fulls of delicious meat on these. Real good southern style ribs, right down the street. These where huge, tasty with a hit of spice. Their BBQ chicken and Pork Ribs are awesome

Best BBQ in LA! The LA bbq scene is rather disappointing but Andre's is a well needed and very delicious change. Well worth whatever drive you have to take to come here.

Been going to Uncle Andre's for about 15 years now. I tell a lot of people about this place. They assume I have something to do with the place because of my name. This place is the best BBQ place by far. Everytime I try other BBQ places I get disappointed. Either their meat is too small or the sauce is generic. So I just stop trying to find places better than uncle Andre's because there is no better place. The chicken is always big and juicy. The beef ribs are on point. The mac and cheese is on point. The collard greens are on point. There is a reason why so many entertainers and studios love this place. They are good. I travel from Playa Vista to Studio City just to eat here. I think I will go in today to order a few beef rib dinners. The sauce is amazing.

Me and My Mother in law have been looking for a place with good fried catfish and fried chicken. And this is it!! Both seasoned and fried to perfection. The Mac n Cheese is like none other - I am in love. My husband is silent and chewing. This is the new soul food go to. You will see us regularly.

This is my new favorite BBQ spot in LA. The staff is always very friendly, the food is cooked fresh to order and it is heavenly. So far I have had the fried chicken, hot links, baked beans, fries and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese is deceivingly good. It does not look traditional since it has that southern style flair, but it tastes incredible. The sauce used on the hot links is perect blend between sweet and savory. The fried chicken is some of the best I have had in LA, not exaggerating. I will frequent here now, I hope they are ready.

Finally tried this place after having it on my list for probably about a year. Ordered two half rack baby back plates. Both with Mac and cheese, one with corn, one with yams (because they were all out of beans, sadly). It took close to 20 minutes from when I ordered to when I was out the door with our food and then about another 20 minutes until I was home and our food was still really hot. Mac and cheese was tasty and had a homemade feel. Yams were good but could have been a little sweeter, but that's just a personal preference. I was actually taken aback when I opened the box and saw how much meat was on those rib bones! The bark was on point! The meat was perfectly tender (not quite falling off the bone but close) and cooked well. I personally prefer a little more of a sweet saucy bbq rib, though. These are definitely not sweet at all and are only ever so slightly sticky. Again, personal preference and could be remedied by just having a little of my own bbq sauce on hand. Overall, it was tasty and the guy who took my order was super friendly. And for the price, you can't beat it! (21 dollars for a half slab and two sides). They take cash and zelle. Which I knew the zelle part before I ordered because I wanted to try the peach cobbler but didn't have enough cash on me to add that on. Will definitely be back to try some other items like the brisket and the fried catfish!

Uncle Andre's BBQ is in my "Big 3" of BBQ places in the Valley. I would categorize it as backyard bbq. The type of bbq you would get at your Uncle Andre's house or the bbq at the park from a family reunion. The food tastes like home. My go to is the combo bbq plate so that I can get a taste of everything. Comes with ribs, bbq or fried chicken, brisket, and hot links with two sides. I would recommend the greens and mac & cheese. They also serve gumbo on Friday's. It's good! Good people run this place. Shout out to Marcus.

Uncle Andre..... where you been all my life?? This place is small with 4 tables for dining. I ordered combo platter with greens and mac and cheese and the piece of chicken fried. I must say this is the best bbq I have had since moving to Los Angeles. Finally a place that uses seasoning. The fried chicken, seasoned well while being crispy and juicy. Brisket was thinly sliced and tasty. Hot link.... I'm mad I didn't order two of them I'm wanting more. Babybackribs are good, but I enjoyed the other meats better. those greens though....so flavorful. Mac and cheese was also good. We have a peach cobbler that we have not tried yet but I am sure I won't be disappointed. Parking was my biggest complaint about this restaurant. I would bring someone with you so they can run in and grab your order.

This is only my second time here and I'm realizing that I'll be coming here once a week from here on out. Great service, great music, amazing food.

Uncle Andre's Barbecue is a hidden gem with a retro decor, an affordable lunch special, and great service that's hard to beat! The ribs are tender and full of flavor, the beans are perfectly seasoned, and the coleslaw adds the perfect touch of freshness. Great quality food at a great price--highly recommend!

The sides in my opinion were okayyy.. However, 4 stars to Uncle Andre's because they have a niche that cannot be found elsewhere. Their bbq is the type of bbq you only find at cookouts. The bbq immediately transported me to a summer day at the park with friends and family.

Hands down, the best Soulfood in the San Fernando Valley. Uncle Andre's has been in this same location for over 30 years and serves up the best crispy fried catfish, fried chicken you can find in #SFV. Everything is made from scratch! They have Gumbo on Fridays! Prices are good. Portions are solid! There is a shared parking lot and at times it can get full. It's small inside but does have some seating. Most people go for takeout. If I pop in for lunch, I usually eat there. Staff is friendly. Give it a try!

Food was great! And service was great! Chicken was fried and seasoned to perfection! If I wasnt pregnant, I would have ate all my greens they were just a lil too spicy didn't want to get heart burn lol but everything we had was delicious!

This place is Amazing! As soon as I walked in and smelled the barbecue I knew it was going to be good. I'm pescatarian so I had the catfish. I can't remember the last time I had catfish that good! I usually pour hot sauce all over. I didn't do that, it was great without it. I also had the greens and Mac and cheese. Both were so damn good. I was humming and dancing... that's how you know the food is good. The guy I was with had the ribs, brisket and chicken with Mac and cheese and beans... he enjoyed it thoroughly, that he ordered the same plate to go...lol. The only thing I was mad at is that I just found this place and it's been there since the 90's! One more thing I was mad at is that they ran out of the peach cobbler and banana pudding. Dying to try their dessert. You will not disappoint when eating here and they are super friendly. Cornbread was soooo good too!

Tried to order the beef slab for $19.95 that is on the a la cart menu but the guy making the food waved me off rudely and said they don't have a $20 beef slab only a $25 order, I said that was fine and the wait wasn't to bad but when I got home and opened the container I was really disappointed it was just 3 ribs that barely had meat on them. Taste was great but price and amount of meat wasn't worth it. Might give them another chance in the future maybe.

Uncle Andre's mac & cheese is the best I've had in a long time! Flavorful, cheesy goodness! I also had the BBQ pork ribs. They were meaty, tender & delicious. I took away one star because I needed more BBQ sauce. I'll order extra next time. The corn bread is also great. I'm picky about my BBQ and Uncle Andre's made the cut. I'll definitely go back for some more!

4.5 stars for the food.... But this particular day I would give 1 STAR for the funky attitude!!! I drove 30 min to order a bbq/chicken dinner and apparently made the mistake of asking a simple question about something on the menu and was met with a yuck attitude from I'm guessing the cook? (Not sure) I said thank you and went to a restaurant a few doors down.

I have been wanting to come to Uncle Andre's BBQ for a very long time. Finally, yesterday I tried this place. Didn't meat my expectation. Food was good, not the best, customer service was semi friendly. They could have tried to be more personable, approachable and friendly. Place was very clean, including the kitchen. A bit pricy for my taste and pocket. For the price that they charge for 2 meat combo plus 2 side orders ($26.95) plus a dollar for a credit card charge. Not to mention they only take credit card during the week. Weekends is CASH ONLY!! They charged me $1.00 for a regular 16.9 oz water w/out telling me. The employee said they didn't have tap water and no ice. Especially being super hot outside. What kind of restaurant does NOT have tap water and ice?? Plastic utensils only. How are you supposed to cut your meat with a plastic knife? Joseph said if they use real utensils the cost will go up. WHAT?? I may return to give them a 2nd chance to improve themselves or I may go back to 4 of my favorite bbq places such as Smokehouse, Tam O'Shanter, Lala's Argentine Grill, Damon's Steak House. Just to name a few. They also have all types of food. Not only bbq, and charge maybe couple of dollars more. But it is SO WORTH IT!!! This place is overrated!

Dang that was good! Best collards, brisket, hotlinks, ribs, fried chicken, bbq sauce and hot sauce I've had in LA. And yes I ate all that. And run by the friendliest staff I've encountered in a while.

This food is so good. I'm from the south, so I'm picky about my Mac and cheese and fried chicken. I usually don't order it most places because they never get it right. I got fried chicken tenders for my first time trying this place (hard to mess up chicken tenders lol) and they are delicious and fresh. The flour is well seasoned and the chicken is tender and flavorful. I chose Mac and cheese and red beans and rice for my sides. Everything literally tastes homemade and they serve generous portions. It's not bland chicken with sauce over it like most places now are doing. The red beans and rice are super flavorful. It's WELL worth the price. I ordered on DoorDash and my food came HOT. I was so impressed lol. I also called and asked for hot sauce and ranch and they gave me some! I'll be ordering from here often lol.

Put your hand in the air and give me a hallelujah! Sho' nuff off-the-hook d-e-licious. Had the combination plate with a side of coleslaw and a side of red beans and rice. All the right fixin's that hit the hunger spot with a bull's eye. The wait was less than 20 minutes and well worth it. There is not a BBQ restaurant in the San Fernando Valley that comes close. This is a true gem. A+.

I ordered this online through DoorDash but man oh man the potato salad is the best highly recommend 10/10 as well with the fried chicken and cornbread !! The ribs are good although meat won't come off the bone but even with that it is not at all dry,sausage links are great got a little kick to them. As for the MAC and CHEESE if you like cheesy Mac and lots of cheese you should def try it,it's seasoned properly too although personally not one of my faves because it is too cheesy Portions for the plates are not at all small !! You get what you pay for and then some !! Wish the gumbo was offered through DoorDash on Fridays but will be going back for that !

Ordered for takeout on 7/3/24. Expected it to be extremely busy since it was the day before the 4th. Was their only customer for the 20 to 30 minutes that I waited for them to cook and prepare my food. That should have been a sign. BBQ was okay. Ordered beef ribs and hot links. The young man who took my order said he only had baby back ribs; he said it as if I should have already known. Why three stars? The ribs were very tender, and I was given a good portion of each meat and the two sides. It's a small, clean restaurant. But overall the meal did not compare to the BBQ in the heart of Los Angeles.

First time here. Zero Expectations. The dining in area is a bit small. May comfortably seat about 15 people. I ordered the half rack of ribs dinner with corn on the cob and potato salad as my sides with cornbread and a Sunkist Strawberry canned soda. Food was ready in about 10 minutes. I chose to dine in, and it was very clean with extra paper towels at every table. The ribs, absolutely amazing. Everything about them was delicious. Caramelized exterior, juicy interior. Meat was just excellent. Potato salad still had potato skins in em. Absolutely incredible. The cornbread, was incredible. Corn on the cob was whatever. Maybe a dab of butter would've hit the spot. Everything else was seriously so good. I'm definitely coming back. I'd highly recommend.

The chicken is tasty!!!!!!! Perfectly fried, and perfectly seasoned. The collards taste way too sweet The mac & cheese screams. I want to try something different. Definitely not the type of mac & cheese you bring to Thanksgiving dinner. But also, the mac & cheese is still pretty tasty. Not gonna lie The cornbread is elite !!!! I wish I would have gotten more. The ribs chicken brisket were good. Seasoned well. I wish the BBQ sauce was heavier though. The potato salad is also elite!!!

The ribs are smoky and perfect. BBQ chicken is nice and moist. Great cornmeal crusted catfish, and the collards are spicy and rich. We just ordered lunch for eighteen people, and Andre won everybody over. (But call in advance for a big order. It's not a huge operation.)

First time ordering, 1-Ribs , Amazing 10/10 2-brisket, 8/10 wish its was but tender and soft like #1 But flavor was amazing 3-fries, amazing 10/10 4-fried chicken 10/10 5-corn bread 10/10 6-beans +rice 8/10 wish they put the equal amount, rice was maybe a small spoon ! But taste and good ! I will still give 5 starts because overall the food is very very tasty, small join and great customer service! Will defenetly coming back with my kids ! Hope brisket will do better next time !

I ordered the Combo Plate Dinner. It is okay. You get a lot of food for the price. Everything is expensive these days. The Brisket was good. The fries were seasoned right and tasty. The BBQ Beans were really good. The BBQ sauce is sweet and tangy with a little bit of heat made the beans tasty. The Hot Links are good. The Chicken is ok. The BBQ Ribs were really disappointing. The rib meat was extremely tough. It was like chewing on jerky. The ribs need major improvement. Overall, the place seems very charming.

When I used to work at the falafel place on the corner almost 7 years ago this was my go to spot , now I live in the bay and I definitely miss this BBQ .. I need my fix the red beans and rice with the hot link and cornbread... LALA DEFINITELY MISSES YOU GUYS

Ribs are good and meaty. The sides were good. The prices are reasonable. The food was ready on time for pick up. We tried Boneyard Bistro on Ventura and Uncle Andre's flavor far surpassed it. This will be our go to for ribs.

Small little place with fantastic food. Great jambalaya on Fridays. They have the best catfish sandwich and their chicken wings are beyond tasty. Make sure you bring cash. Highest quality of food imaginable. 100% recommended.

Ordered thru Grubhub, ordered the combo plate. Should have one beef rib, baby backs, hot link & chicken. Received; baby back ribs, hot link, 2 chicken legs and tri tip. No beef rib!!! The sauce was underwhelming, baby backs were tough. The Mac n cheese were good, beans ok. Hot link spicy. Why the restaurant didn't call me to say no beef ribs??? Don't know. I won't be ordering again...

These guys have excellent customer service. I wanted beef ribs, wasn't sure how to order them online delivery, so my guy just asked for my name, kept an eye out for my order, and ensured I got beef ribs and not pork. Awesome!! On to the food- my family gobbled this and the sides up like no tomorrow. Had the fried fish, beef ribs, fried chicken. Mac cheese, baked beans. So good comfort food on a cold dark night. These guys will be my go to BBQ going forward.

We wanted to support a black owned business and satisfy our bbq craving at the same time. We ordered takeout and had our minds blown! The food here is incredible! We ordered a variety of things and everything was delicious. Like you don't know what to take a bite of next sort of delicious. We got links, baby back ribs, fried chicken along with Mac & cheese, potato salad, baked beans and fries. We paired it at home with a Pinot noir and we were so happy! This is some of the best bbq I've ever had and I've eaten a fair amount of 'Q in the south. I'm overjoyed to make this discovery just a few minutes away from my house. I hope they do catering because this will be a must for my next gathering. Cash only

The food is good not gonna lie. But I saw what looked like the guy running the place mistreating the guy that was cleaning the place. He was just going on on him I hate to see that. I'm sure they were family cause the was he was talking to him I would have quit. That made me not go back...

The food was good but I forgot that the ribs on the mobile order are pork when I was wanting the beef. Overall it's a great little establishment, and they cook with love. Nice homey feel. Great food and friendly staff. The pork ribs are still good, but the beef ribs are fire
