Uncle Chip's Cookies

Was looking for a spot to grab a quick breakfast, and ran across this spot! While I wasn't expecting them to have many breakfast options, they surprised me! They have a number of bagel/bagel sandwich offerings and a few other breakfast items. Not to mention fresh teas and lemonades made in house, as well as coffee. Service was friendly and prompt, and we loved eating our bagels inside their dining area. And while we haven't tried their famous cookies yet, we'll definitely be back!

Gladis and her Latino staff are always friendly and helpful. The location is the nook of the city where it’s blended well with original Washingtonians and newcomers. The food and deserts are usually fresh and tasty. The prices are reasonable as well. Visit when you can!

We had the pleasure of working with Uncle Chips for our wedding desserts, and the experience was PERFECT. Shannon and her incredible team went above and beyond to make our wedding unforgettable! The variety and selection were impressive, and you could truly taste the difference. The flavors were excellent, and the freshness made it indulgent. Their ability to accommodate dietary restrictions was really helpful. Uncle Chips had great communication and the personalized service was outstanding. From the initial planning stages, they helped bring our vision to life by creating actual models of the cookies for the wedding. Shannon helped us with a special cake for the cake cutting. Uncle Chips provided the best desserts for our wedding, and we are genuinely grateful for Shannon and her team's talent and dedication. Would highly recommend.

My beautiful grandson is in the NICU at the Children’s Hospital. Today as my daughter, her husband and grandmother arrived they were greeted with a delicious box lunch from your establishment. We’re not sure of the organization that gifted us this lunch so we say THANK YOU!

As a boutique business owner and event producer myself, my goal is to support other locally owners, small businesses as well. I’m so glad we found Uncle Chip’s Cookies! I can’t say enough about how amazing Shannon and her team were. I was panicked and they helped pull together a huge order for a client within a week. The cake cookies were absolutely delicious. I didn’t know what to expect and trusted that Uncle Chip’s knew what they were doing. We crushed a lot of cake cookies in a week. I would definitely recommend this bakery and order that yummy cake cookie! Thanks Uncle Chip’s for making this happen!

I’ve been waiting to try this Uncle Chip’s cinnamon bun for a very long time. Uncle chip can be seen from North Capitol road based on its teal color. I’ve seen many ads for the cinnamon bun. I’m thankful for experience. They have a friendly team and an AMAZING cinnamon bun. Off the charts. Highly recommend.

I am very disappointed with my experience at Chip’s, unfortunately. I ordered Polenta; I was informed it was equivalent to grits. It sounded good; on the menu, it was 6 dollars. The cash register rung me up at 7 dollars. I inquired and pointed to the menu, but the clerk insisted that’s what the computer system had. The food was no where worth the cost. When I saw her make it, I was instantly overcome by skepticism. It looks like these are basically instant grits with a microwaved egg and cheese on top. The egg was rubbery and when I got to the bottom of the bowl, the grits weren’t cooked all the way. Not salted enough. I really wanted to try out this place because it’s a local business; I am doubtful I’ll be returning again. There’s nothing like getting ripped off to ruin a good Sunday mornin’...

This is our go to place every Friday—sandwich for lunch and salad for dinner. Both are plentiful and good to feed two. Their sandwiches and salads are both excellent. Don’t forget to order a cookie as well!! Friendly staff. HIGHLY recommend.
