"A Henan-style Chinese restaurant located in a strip mall in Plano, Texas, with a cult following. Known for its hand-drawn noodles and authentic Henan dishes, it offers a no-frills dining experience with a focus on food quality over ambiance." - Diana Spechler

"Acclaimed New York City transplant Uncle Zhou’s been serving Plano residents traditional Henan cuisine since 2020, and all noodles are made in-house. Of particular note are the Henan cold noodles. Thanks to their intimidating red color, this dish is associated with heat and spice — but it’s neither. It uses thinner noodles doused in a savory, sour, mildly sweet sauce with roasted peanuts and bean sprouts." - Didi Paterno

Google
I wanted to try the hand drawn noodles and the ratings look promising. Food was actually pretty good. We ordered the beef hand drawn noodles, land hand drawn noodles, the dial oil hand drawn noodles, scallion pancakes and pan fried dumplings. It's a pretty big portion. Place was pretty big. Great for small or large parties and service was good. Servers were attentive and food came out pretty fast. I'd come back and try some more. Menus was pretty big. Till then, let's eat!!!

This Chinese restaurant is truly exceptional. The food is authentic, and everything we tried exceeded expectations. The crispy chicken was perfectly cooked—juicy and flavorful, never dry. The soups were rich and satisfying, and the house specials were simply outstanding. The staff are warm and welcoming, adding to the enjoyable dining experience. With high-quality Chinese cuisine and excellent service, this is a place I would gladly return to again and again.

Google
Uncle Zhou is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Chinese food. I highly recommend Cream cheese wonton, and special meat ball in soup for Appertizer. Everything tastes fresh and dellicious. Whether you're craving dumplings, noodles, or a good stir-fry, you really can’t go wrong here. It’s the kind of place you’ll keep coming back to because the food just hits the spot every time! Cumin Fish Fillet (photo 2) + stir fried mushroom (photo 3). Great food, great service from every employees, you will feel a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Google
I visited Uncle Zhou Restaurant after seeing so many great reviews and enticing food pictures, and I can see why it's well-loved. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout my visit. As for the food, while the ingredients were fresh and the presentation was nice, the flavors didn’t quite match my personal taste—I found the vinegar a bit overwhelming in some dishes. That being said, I can tell the dishes are prepared with care and authenticity, and I can see why others enjoy them. If you love bold, tangy flavors, this could be the perfect spot for you. While it wasn’t exactly to my preference, the overall experience was still positive, and I appreciate the great service and inviting atmosphere. Would I come back? Maybe to try something different on the menu. But if you’re a fan of authentic flavors, it’s definitely worth checking out!

Google
First time trying this style of Chinese cuisine. I would best describe it as what I would assume as "homey". We ordered the scallion pancake, dumplings, and handrawn noodles. All the food was good and well portioned, but I didn't find the flavors of any of the dishes to be particularly eye opening. The noodles were some of the best I've had, but I was left wishing for more with the sauce they were in. Overall, an interesting spot that I would recommend trying.

Google
This tiny, bustling shopping center Chinese eatery is definitely one of the better in DFW. The hand pulled noodles were incredible, and worth the trip alone. The pork dumplings and hot and sour soup were great as well. Some of the Chinese-American items skewed a little too sweet for my taste, however. Service is extremely friendly and the space is welcoming, despite the casual locale. Definitely recommended for a casual family lunch or dinner.

Google
So, I took the family to Uncle Zhou's for lunch today. As always, food was amazing (NOODLES/GENERAL TSO's CHICKEN-SHRIMP A MUST!). They let baby girl spin the wheel, and we won a free lunch! Only had to pay $1 dollar for processing fee! What a cool promotion! Great place for good food and great times! Thank you Uncle Zhou!!!!

Google
Definitely will be returning to try all the hand pulled noodles. The noodles are soo good! Texture was amazing and so flavorful! Everything else we order was amazing. We wanted to try more items but was unable to eat that much.

Lily F.

Yelp
My family had a quick pre-Christmas dinner here and we were really impress with how tasty everything was. The stand outs were the flat noodles, dial oil noodles, dragon eggplant and the pork belly. I would definitely order the flat noodles again. Perfectly quick fried in the wok that it was still able to have a slight chewy texture. This is definitely a place I would only eat dine-in and not take out so you can eat the noodles as soon as it comes out and it doesn't get bloated or soggy.

Daniel T.

Yelp
My review only applies to the specific dish that I had, the Beef Hand-Drawn wide noodle 牛肉烩面. The dish was ok in my opinion. Not the best beef noodle soup I've had. The beef was good but the broth did not have a lot of flavor. However, the texture of the noodles was good since the noodles are hand drawn. My disclaimer is that the dish I had is a Henan style, which I am unfamiliar with. It was not my favorite as opposed to more common Taiwanese style beef noodle soups (红烧牛肉面) Otherwise, I can't comment on the other dishes there, but I could change my rating after trying some other dishes there. Aside from the food, the service was pretty fast.

Ashley G.

Yelp
I've been to several dumpling locations and this one is not what it seems. At least all of the things I ordered were not good. Service was okay, ambiance was awkward and maybe it wasn't a good day for the staff. We ordered: scallion pancakes, soup dumplings, cucumber salad, hand pulled noodles (way too much vinegar or whatever made it tart) not good as the reviews made it seem. Chili wontons, fried dumplings.

Yelp
After hearing multiple recommendations (and a few TikTok videos my wife came across), we decided to give this restaurant a try. Unfortunately, the overall food quality didn't live up to the hype. While the menu seemed promising, the dishes lacked the bold flavors and depth we were expecting. We asked our waiter for recommendations, hoping to get a sense of the standout dishes, but even those didn't quite hit the mark. Food: - Double Cooked Pork (6/10): The dish had some flavor, but it felt incomplete--more like a side dish than a main course. The pork was sliced and cooked "twice" with peppers and veggies, but it lacked the punch of flavor or creativity that would have elevated it. Maybe my expectations were different, but this didn't leave a lasting impression. - Spicy Chicken Meat (3/10): This dish was a major letdown. It seemed more like a stir-fry of bell peppers and vegetables with a sparse handful of chicken pieces. The few bites of chicken we managed to find were fine, but the dish as a whole was unremarkable and felt unbalanced. - Dial Hand-Drawn Noodles (4/10): While I appreciate the effort that goes into making fresh hand-drawn noodles, these didn't stand out in any way. They were plain and lacked any distinct texture or flavor that would make them memorable. Overall, I would give this spot a 4/10. Our experience with Chinese food in the DFW area has been hit-or-miss.

Yelp
Still really good. My favorite item is still the dial oil noodles but the bean sauce and pork one is also delicious I might have to alternate!

Lucie N.

Yelp
FOOD Dial Noodles - There was not that much Bok Choy which made it mainly just noodles. There's a good oil flavor with the vinegar sauce. The noodle texture was bouncy and chewy to perfection! Beef Filet with Black Pepper Sauce - this dish was a little bit on the saltier side but generous on veggies and beef. Flavors were a bit overpowering for this one but not too bad! VIBES My friend and I went around 1 PM on Friday. It was crowded for lunch and loud with families. Seating consists of booths, tables, and chairs. There's also family style seating with the lazy susan. SERVICE Service was good! Food came out really fast and satisfied with service.

Jaya P.

Yelp
Food was so good with fast service. It is definitely nice and vibrant place with a lot of people buzzing in and out.

Yelp
Visited as a party of two for dinner. I had seen this place advertised on an IG page. We were sat right away. Cute little spot. Price was pretty good. $50 total. We ordered dial hot noodles. And beef tendon noodles. Wonton in spices sauce. Beef Chinese hamburger. & pork and chive dumpling. Noodles are VERY thick and long. Little hard to manage. Was not my fave (but I am not a fan of udon noodles or thick noodles in general bc it's very bready) - also the noodle dish did not have much flavor. I had to add in chili oil. Salt and vinegar/soy sauce. Finally grabbing some broth from my friends beef tendon dish which helped. Wonton in spices were very good. Pork and chive dumplings also very thick and bready. Weren't my fave either. Chinese hamburger was just HEAVY on cumin spice. Nothing spectacular. I wouldn't mind coming back to try a protein dish aside from the noodles but with lots of options around that in my opinion are a little more flavorful. Not sure when we'll be back.

Nat S.

Yelp
The servers were not the friendliest but I don't expect exceptional service, but it was not awful Casual dining spot, decent amount of seating Food was maybe a little too bland for my taste. Felt like I needed to add salt or soy to a lot of dishes. Only thing that I completely loved was the pig ear (cold dish). Might be willing to go back and try different dishes. Maybe I just made some poor decisions that day!

Sarrang P.

Yelp
First off it gets very busy here so if possible make reservations or get there early for dinner at open to secure a seat! I had a big reservation when we went and they had the table and area secluded off and ready for us. Service was fast and easy and food was delicious. I got the hand pulled noodles which is most popular here! I especially liked the stir fried hand pulled noodles the best and I added beef to it. Price is a bit expensive about 15 to 18 dollars a plate but it was a good amount of food! If you go with a family I highly recommend ordering different dishes and sharing so you can try different types of food!

Matthew C.

Yelp
Very average setting, and most customers when we arrived 1945 on Thursday was non-Chinese. I saw most other tables had traditional American Chinese food (Kung Pao, Lo Mein, Mongolian Beef), but we came to try the lamb hand noodle soup. It was mediocre to me. Very tiny portion of lamb slices (3-4 tiny slices), and the rest were veggies and noodles.

Jonathan K.

Yelp
Came here with my wife and some friends and it was really good! Service was surprisingly fast even though we had a large group. I got the Beef hand drawn Wide noodle and my wife got the combination fried hand drawn noodle. The broth in the beef hand drawn Wide noodle was really good and had a strong savory beef flavor. The noodles were super long and cooked perfectly for hand drawn noodles. They didn't get mushy or too soft over time. I was pretty pleasantly surprised at the amount of beef in the dish also. The combination friend hand drawn noodle was delicious and had a good wokhei flavor which is pretty rare nowadays. I recommend trying the chili oil that they have on the table! Adds great flavor and a little kick.

Edie B.

Yelp
The service was good. The food was good specially the noodle with beef and the wonton in sauce. But the General chicken was way off the sauce tasted like ketchup with a little of sugar and oil, not a lot of flavor. We will go back and try order a different dish. I would definitely order the noodle with beef again, but this time I would ask to add more vegetable and beef because the sauce is really good.

Bodin K.

Yelp
I came here for the first time when they first opened and didn't have the greatest meal. I finally came back to try it out again years later and it was DELICIOUS. They definitely tweaked the menus and maybe some recipes. Everything we got was made perfectly. Dumplings, wood ear mushrooms, intestines, salt pepper shrimp, noodles, just to name a few. Everything was seasoned perfectly and textures were spot on. This place does get busy so be ready for that!

Catherine F.

Yelp
This place is sooo good; I'm definitely coming back for more! They offer food that is authentic to the Henan province, and it was all delicious. Additionally, everything came out hot and fast. Since it's a family establishment, I was also able to meet the owners, who are very sweet! I got the Lamb Hand-Drawn Wide Noodle, which had a broth that is extremely rich and comforting. If you're unfamiliar with this dish, it contains wood-ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, cilantro, and cellophane noodles in addition to lamb slices and hand-pulled noodles. I just wish the bowl was bigger because of how delicious it was haha. Another dish that I ordered was the Chicken Kou Wan, which is crispy chicken breaded with flour and egg that is then cooked in a liquid thickened with sweet potato starch. Be patient when eating this dish though, as there are chicken bones throughout. I also ordered the Chinese Hamburger (Lamb), which seemed like it had a filling of Cumin Powder Fried Lamb and I enjoyed. Lastly, if you like adding a bit of spiciness to your food, I would highly recommend trying their chili oil that is found on the table as it tasted both fragrant and fresh.

Salman Z.

Yelp
Good restaurant, but nothing out of this world - which is fine. Our favorites were: - H1. Dial Oil Hand-Drawn Wide Noodle. Had plenty of bok choy, which was delicious. - F5. Fish Henan Style. Star of the night. We also got the dragon eggplant. People had mentioned it didn't taste anything like eggplant, but it most definitely did. So if you're not an eggplant fan, steer clear.

Shivani M.

Yelp
Heard about this restaurant from Instagram and I am so glad we came! We started with the scallion pancakes and Dial Oil Hand Noodles. Both were delicious and had a lot more flavor than I was expecting. Both were shared between 4 people and were good starters. I wasn't too hungry so for my main dish I got the Mapo Tofu. It was a really unique flavor similar to Szechuan but a little spicier. I am vegetarian and they let me know they have a whole side of veggies and tofu dishes to try. Overall great service and location!

Leanne G.

Yelp
We came in for dinner on a busy Saturday night. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated, and there was plenty of indoor seating in the waiting area so we didn't need to wait in the heat. Most of the dishes we sampled were delicious. Favorites were the Dial Oil noodles and the fried dumplings. We also liked the crispness and savory sesame of the cucumber salad. Less favorites were the lamb dumplings and sweet and sour fish. We were excited to try the baked noodle and fish, but they were out of the noodles. The server recommended the sweet and sour fish, but in looking at the pictures, I don't think it was a good substitute.

Howard L.

Yelp
The food here is indeed tasty. I really like the lunch special hongshao pork because it reminds me of the flavor of roast pork in China. The mapo tofu is also really good. Normally it would come with some type of ground meat, but the mapo tofu here seems to be completely vegetarian. The minor downside would probably be the white rice served with the entrees. It's unbelievably dry, and seems to possibly be either old rice under a heat lamp, or leftovers from prior days. The noodles here are also really good, but I would not recommend ordering them to-go. They tend to clump together into one giant dough blob in the to-go box, regardless of if you order the noodles with soup, or the hand-drawn oil noodles. By the way, the oil hand-drawn noodles are fairly easy to make. You simply need noodles, chili oil, and Chinese black vinegar if you don't want to spend $13

Mrs G.

Yelp
Wonderful selection with quality ingredients and each dish uniquely and deliciously seasoned. Wonderful, kind, and attentive staff. BYOB what?! Official rotation spot identified!

Christina M.

Yelp
Uncle Zhou is America's uncle! We had the pleasure of speaking to him in celebration of my husband's birthday and we had what I would call a kings reception! Sometimes it's not even the ambiance or even quality of food that makes a place . (This place is amazing in both areas) It's the service and the feeling you get from ownership and staff. I wish them the most success!

Tom S.

Yelp
Food was average. Fresh made noodles and Chinese burger was good. Service was slow at times. Recommend to make reservations as it will get busy.

Johnny H.

Yelp
I saw a lot of hype on social media regarding Uncle Zhou and after trying this place I was somewhat disappointed. The dial oil noodles were just ok, nothing too standout from other hand-pull noodle restaurants. It doesn't come with any meat but my server noted we could add beef or beef tendon for an additional cost. I did enjoy the pork and chive dumplings and fish in hot pepper sauce. The dumpling filling had a lot of flavor and the fish wasn't too spicy. The fish had a good balance with the sichuan peppers so there wasn't too much numbing feeling. Now it did only come with one bowl of rice so I would advise ordering another bowl if sharing with others. The only dish I did not enjoy was the spicy wontons as it was too vinegary for my taste. Dial oil noodles: 3/5 Pork and chive dumplings: 4/5 Fish in hot pepper sauce: 4/5 Spicy wontons: 2/5

Jennifer J.

Yelp
Uncle Zhou had amazing noodles! I did the lamb noodles and they were absolutely delicious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and definitely has a great vibe to it. The owner kindly greeted us and thanked us for visiting. We will definitely be back! Their food lives up to the hype.

John C.

Yelp
We love hand pulled noodles so we had to check this place out. We're happy to say this is another top option for noodles! The interior has welcoming decors and plenty of seating. When we arrived on a Sat for lunch, there was already a queue but the service was quick. We only waited for about 10min. We obv ordered the signature hand pulled noodle, with extra beef on the side. It lived up to the hype for sure. The noodles were chewy and flavorful, we would've ordered a second bowl if we could. Also ordered the dragon eggplant, another famous option there. The presentation was eye opening and the portion was huge. However it came with almost too much sweet & sour sauce. Went well with rice but definitely recommend sharing with others. The hot pepper fish fillet was also great. The huge portion meant it came with a lot of fish! Glad they didn't skim on that. Just a heads up there were a lot of spices in the middle, make sure you stir it a bit before eating. All in all, we loved the meal and would definitely return!

Holly N.

Yelp
Service was amazing! Food came out pretty fast!! All the foods we tried were pretty yummy however it's a little bit pricey here. I don't like how you get charged for a little bowl of rice. So if you order an entree like orange chicken or something you also have to pay extra for rice. Hand tossed noodles were the best!! You've gotta try it. Our group had to get a second round

Caroline Z.

Yelp
Dragon Eggplant, Dial Oil Hand-Drawn Wide Noodle, Pork Belly with Vegetables I was really really excited to try this place, given the michelin recommendation and all the hype on social media. Favorite thing was definitely the hand pulled noodle--really great bite to it, nicely spicy (and you can always add more chili oil), pretty solid but not my favorite hot oil noodle I've ever had. Dragon eggplant was beautiful and just a work of art. Pretty tasty, it's fried so it's kind of heavy, and the sauce is on the sweet side; overall a decent dish. Pork belly was cooked well, but the sauce was weirdly sweet which was a little off putting. Nice interior, can see Uncle Zhou pulling noodles behind the kitchen counter. Servers took forever to bring rice and things.

Krista G.

Yelp
The restaurant is located in a shopping center and is surprising large inside (it's long, not wide). We had to wait about 20 mins to be seated and the seating area is not large so if it's a busy night, you may be waiting outside. We enjoyed our experience at Uncle Zhou but it did not live up to the hype. We love hand pulled noodles but these were lacking something; they just didn't have that WOW flavor. The crispy chicken another mediocre dish but there was plenty to share so you get your money's worth. Then there was the star...the Dragon Eggplant was amazing. After reading some of the reviews I was concerned about it being too greasy but it was wonderful. The only thing disappointing about the eggplant is that you could not reheat the leftovers. Overall Uncle Zhou's was average but since the eggplant was such a delightful surprise, I pushed up the star rating to a 4.

Ryan N.

Yelp
Parking: Located in a strip mall type of area - so there's free parking available. Interior: I ordered to go - but the inside looked clean and inviting. Service: I ordered to go - and the food was ready on time. Food: I was excited because of all the amazing reviews - but I found the food to be just average. The beef hand-drawn wide noodle had a decent taste for the broth but the noodles seemed too thick and was a bit rubbery. The orange chicken was nothing to write home about and plenty of other restaurants have better ones available. Drinks: I didn't order any drinks. Overall: I drove out 30 minutes to try out the place but it wasn't worth the trip to me.

Shreya C.

Yelp
Love this place. I always get the same thing here and it's my comfort food...the boiled fish in hot pepper sauce. It is really good...probably the best I've had in the DFW area. The dial noodles are also good..maybe just a tad too tangy for me but my friends loved it! The service is prompt and the ambiance is casual. My go-to place every time I'm craving soul food or have to cure my hangover! Highly recommend.

Loanne N.

Yelp
Was excited to try this place after seeing it on social media. Came on a Saturday afternoon and there was a short wait - you put your own name down on a notepad in the front. There is a good amount of seating and we got seated after ten minutes. We ordered the Szechuan fish which came in a large bowl with rice, the dragon eggplant, and the hand drawn noodles, which we added beef to. Overall food was great but a little too salty and we found the dragon eggplant to have way too much sauce, but may be catering to the American market. The noodles were amazing and had great flavor and the eggplant was fried well and delicious. Would still come back if we were in the area to enjoy some Asian food!

Phu V.

Yelp
The dish was soggy by the time I got home. The amount of food was so little for the price that they charged. Not going back.

Jess N.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the dial oil hand drawn noodles. The sauce it came with had a nice szechuan pepper kick to it that enhanced the flavors. We used the sauce of the noodles to dip our scallion pancakes in, which we traditionally do with the wonton chili sauce, but the wonton chili sauce here had way too much vinegar. The lamb was ordered to add some protein since the noodles doesn't come with it. It had a nice spice to it, which I feel was a nice additional flavor to the noodles.

Cynthia C.

Yelp
Wonderful, friendly service. We really enjoyed the smiles and patience of the servers here. Friday evening was busy, a 7-10 person wait. However, I just wasn't blown away by the food personally... I think it was decent food, but I'm not sure I'll be back. We got the Dial Oil hand drawn noodles...the noodles were a bit too thick to enjoy easily & sauce a bit too sour and one-dimensional. It didn't have the depth of flavor I was hoping for. We also got wontons in spices sauce which had a similar flavor to Dial Oil sauce. Broccoli with chicken was standard and decent. Our favorite dishes as a family was the combination fried hand drawn noodles. It's pretty much stir fried noodles...but for $18, I think it was relatively small with very little meat. Anyways, there are plenty of people who really like this place, and service was great... I think it's just not a good fit for me personally...

Jinhyung K.

Yelp
Probably some of the best Chinese food I've had in the Dallas area. It certainly lived up to the hype for me. The dragon eggplant was a sight to behold. A longs and large eggplant cut up like a spiral with an addicting sweet and spicy sauce. A must try even as I hesitant at first. The Dial Oil Hand Drawn Wide Noodle was really good too. I loved the bouncy noodle texture. The fish we got was solid as well. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the spicy crispy chicken and there were a lot of bones in it. You're going to see some major wait times if you plan to go during a busy hour. Almost impossible to come in with any group larger than 8 because it's not that big and they don't take reservations. We had a 30 minutes wait for a group of 4 during dinner time. Service was slow, but that's something I can't blame on them because it was crazy busy and seemed like they were trying their best.

Huaqing L.

Yelp
Had pulled noodle and 2 other dishes. It's good but not as good as I expected. Not Michelin level of food as it advertised.

Lin L.

Yelp
Tried for the first time on a Saturday. Very friendly staffs and food comes out fast. They keep checking on us. If you are not up to trying different regions of food, may not be for you. Most dishes have wood ear mushrooms. It may not be for your taste but many customers are there. Give it a try if you are in the area.

Beth F.

Yelp
Ive been to Uncle Zhou's twice - lunch and dinner. Both were fantastic meals. The servers are attentive but not bothersome and can offer suggestions and know the kitchen and menu well. They don't serve wine/beer but you can bring your own if you like. The menu is ample and diverse. Everything we had was delicious and so fresh. Its a small place and a just off the main road but so worth going! Great for almost any occasion birthdays, family meals, after work, lunch, etc. they appear to have a pretty vibrant to-go/ delivery business. So they are busier than the dining room may appear. But still get orders out fast. You're gonna love it!

Joanne T.

Yelp
Really tasty but a bit on the pricier side for meat dishes!!!! Ordered the noodles with bean and meat sauce and pork belly and both dishes were really good, but it would've been nice if the pork belly had come with a side of rice. Service was super fast and the interior walls were decorated nicely with large pictures of the dishes.

John J.

Yelp
Saw the reviews on Yelp and Instagram and decided to try for lunch. We liked the atmosphere and were impressed with how friendly everyone was and how they genuinely wanted our experience to be great. Service was good but not great. We received one of our appetizers first (the chicken egg rolls - which were exceptional). Then the rest of our order came out at different times. My daughter was served her beef hand-drawn wide noodle first. After a short wait, my lamb hand-drawn wide noodle was delivered. Finally, our second appetizer of lamb dumplings were served. No problem on the entree stagger, but I hate when appetizers come after the entrees or together. We shared both appetizers, but if we had not planned to share, it would have been a bigger problem. All the food was freshly prepared with large servings. With the exception of the egg rolls, the food all came out pretty bland. However, there is salt, pepper, soy sauce, and hot pepper sauce on the table. You will need it all. The broth with the noodles was really good. Not much meat with the noodles however. Did not really care for the lamb dumplings. I like lamb, but maybe dumplings aren't the best fit for lamb for me.

Tien L.

Yelp
My expectations were high due to the hype and seeing it all over social media with good reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. The servers were sweet and they tried to move as fast as possible despite the growing crowd. The inside is very cozy and nicely furnished and decorated. Between my friend and I, we shared spicy wontons, henan tofu, and dial oil hand drawn noodles. All dishes were pretty simple in flavors and didn't uncover anything special. We were most looking forward to the hand drawn wide noodles but quickly came to appreciate the fact that we only got 1 to share instead of individual orders. It's pretty thick and starchy and you get tired of eating it fast. Add some chili oil for a better taste profile imo. The chili oil was my favorite. Best I've had actually. And it's actually spicy. The spicy wontons and henan tofu also didn't uncover anything special. The spicy wontons were more tart and acidic than salted or spicy. The fillings tasted bland. I would try a plate of stir fry vegetables next time since I enjoyed the vegetables in the tofu dish. I don't see how it made the Michelin guide but perhaps I need to give it another chance and understand the taste profile of Chinese Henan food but for this time around, I was a little disappointed.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Amazing hand pulled noodles! Perfect amount if chew. Flavors all on point. Good service. Clean bustling atmosphere. I was in for business but if I lived nearby they would get all my money.

Joshua L.

Yelp
Had a great experience here at Uncle Zhou's! The interior has an authentic vibe, but is still laid-back for a casual dining environment. Our server was super friendly, and regularly checked in to make sure everything was good! I highly recommend the dragon eggplant- 2 lightly fried eggplants with a sweet and sour sauce. The Henan style pork belly was some of the best pork belly I've had and a good deal with the portion size. The dial oil wide noodles were good with a very unique (almost citrusy?) flavor, but it became a little overwhelming as we kept eating them. The beef Chinese hamburger was kinda pricey for the size, but worth trying if you've never had one before! Overall a great spot for sharing a few dishes with friends!!

Eric W.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. I was blown away at how authentic the Sichuan dishes here were. 100% recommend the hot oil flat noodles. I will be honest I thought it was going to be bland judging by the photos, man was I wrong. The noodles were so fresh and had the perfect chew. Hidden under the noodles is where the magic lies. The hot oil/vinegar sauce explodes with flavor in your mouth. I guarantee you don't be able to stop slurping. The spicy fish is a must have as well as their wontons! Our server was amazing and had great suggestions so listen to them if you're lost! Some advice, if the dish is only in English... skip it, but even then the general tso's chicken looks amazing too!

Tricia B.

Yelp
My first time trying hand pulled noodles. Ordered the dial oil noodles -they were excellent! The noodles were tender and the bok choi on top was cooked perfectly. spicey with garlicy goodness. Ordered a simple vegetables and shrimp. The veggies were coked perfectly. Love that the sauce came on the side. The pork chive dumplings were delicious.

Yelp
After seeing this place pop up online, I had the itch for some hand pulled noodles! Made the trip to check this place out for dinner. Beef Wide Noodle- they gave a very generous amount of noodles. The bowl may seem kind of shallow, but they pack the bowl with long strands of noodles and even provide scissors to cut them. The noodles were freshly made and had the delicious hand pulled noodle consistency I was hoping for. Chewy and not crumbly. The beef was very tender and delicious, not under cooked and tough to chew like other places i have been to in the past. The broth was a light beefy broth that was not salty at all and was a quality beef broth that was made with a lot of effort. Rich and just right! Filet Minon Pepper Steak- was a very good dish to enjoy. The beef cuts were thin and tender. So glad the meat was not rubbery as it made it a good experience to eat! The sauce was not super salty and not overly peppered. Appetizers- Spicy Wonton and Fried Dumplings were a delicious complement for our main dishes! All hand made and fresh to order! Service- I cannot stress the service enough! Staff was very attentive and very friendly. I made the mistake of adding too much chili oil to the beef noodle soup. I ended up coughing up a lung trying to eat it. The waitress was very kind in offering to change the soup so I can enjoy the dish minus the overload of spice. That speaks volumes people! Will definitely be coming back adding this place to my rotation of places to eat. Lot's of other dishes I need to try!

Yelp
Service is friendly. Restaurant is very disorganized. Food is bad to mediocre. I would not give it a second try.

Yelp
Visited on a Saturday night they were busy. Service - Attentive servers but they missed one of my orders. (lamb dumplings). Food served one by one. Me and my husband had to share the food. Food - I like the Hand drawn noodles the most. Their chili was spicy too its yum! we tried other dishes but they were just mediocre. We've had better. Pricey compared to other simiar spots. Clean restaurant. Overall, i wouldnt drive 30+minutes again for these dishes.
