"Excellent brick oven pizza and outdoor fire pits make for a good game-day option at Urban Village. Sample multiple drafts in a setting with neighborhood brewpub vibes, and don’t sleep on the happy hour." - Maddy Sweitzer-Lamme

The Best Philly Restaurants Where You Can Also Watch Sports

"Urban Village Brewing Company has everything you want in a gameday setup: an enormous space full of long tables, lots of beer options, and a few TVs around the bar that you can see from any seat in the house. The food here is also better than your standard gastropub dishes—they've got burgers, wood-fired pizzas, perch po’boys with a spicy peach remoulade, and some smoked wings. While there might be a dozen beers on tap and plenty of can options, they also have a solid whisky, wine, and cocktail list if your version of a gameday routine includes a few Old Fashioneds. " - candis mclean

On the Grid : St. Benjamin Brewing Company

"It’s exciting to see commercial enterprises make their way back into neglected factories and warehouses, and this nanobrewery has made a home for itself in between renovated loft residences. They’re only open once a month for tours, but they have plans to open a full tasting room and restaurant sometime next year. For now, it’s well worth a trip to check out their operations and grab a top notch Koffee Kolsch or Hopligation." - Melissa McFeeters

Ultimate Philly Restaurants and Bars for Live Entertainment | Eater Philly

"This brewery in Northern Liberties is a great spot to fellowship with friends over great beer, cocktails, and pub fare, but its array of events is another reason to visit. Gather the gang for one of its monthly run club meetups (in partnership with the Northern Liberties Run Club), get competitive with its Monday night Music Bingo, or groove to music at one of its vinyl nights." - George Banks-Weston

Urban Village Brewing Company Review - Northern Liberties - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Urban Village is enormous and full of plenty of long tables to fill with your friends. Order a bunch of pizzas and wings and if you’re lucky enough to be there on a Thursday, be ready for one of the fiercest games of quizzo in the city. Heads up: there’s a limit on team sizes, so choose wisely." - Jordan Price

Really great place to eat, drink, have a party, whatever! I was really surprised by how much seating they had inside and outside. Our server David provided exceptional service guiding us through the menu and accommodating our food preferences. Apparently David is a talented eater as well, he flexed that he could eat a whole pizza by himself! The food was really good for a brewery, floating on that line of being a gastro pub. We had the Perogies, Nashville Chicken Sandwich, cheese fries, Arancini, and pizza. The cheese fries were really good! I would say better than Chili’s and Pete’s crab fries. The Arancini were exceptional! The whipped ricotta, basil, and tomato sauce created a wonderful combination on my palette. Perogies are not traditionally made, they are deep fried so proceed with caution. They were good, but anything deep fried tastes good. The layout of the place was really great, open bar area, outside tables, and inside dining room. Apparently they even have live music here during certain events. Really happy with our experience here. You should definitely check this place out!

If you’re in the mood for great food, craft beer, and a lively atmosphere, Urban Village in Philadelphia is the place to be. This brew pub offers a perfect blend of hearty dishes, unique beers, and a vibrant environment that makes it ideal for both casual hangouts and game nights. We started with some mouth-watering appetizers—crispy Brussels sprouts, perfectly seasoned Buffalo cauliflower, and a refreshing Asian salad that provided the perfect balance to the rich flavors of the wings. The honey Sriracha wings were a standout, offering a spicy kick paired with a touch of sweetness. For the main course, the Stella pizza didn’t disappoint with its thin, crispy crust and delicious toppings that hit the spot. As a brew pub, the beer selection was fantastic. We tried the Westcoast IPA, a bold, hoppy choice that paired beautifully with the wings. The stout and oatmeal stout were also hits, offering deep, rich flavors for those who prefer something a bit heavier. The atmosphere here was great during the game between the Eagles and the Rams.. With plenty of seating and TVs everywhere, it’s a great place to catch the Eagles game while enjoying a cold beer and some tasty food. Whether you're with friends or looking for a fun date night spot, Urban Village has it all. Overall, everything was very well executed—from the food, service to the drinks, and the ambiance. Highly recommend this place in Philadelphia for anyone looking to enjoy delicious craft brews and comfort food in a lively, sports-friendly environment.

We went here for the espresso martini crawl. The staff was amazing. They were working their butts off! And we’re very fast with service. Same for the food. Great pizza. Can’t wait to go back on a normal day and experience it more! Thanks for a great bar crawl!

Google
Such a good happy hour spot, got drinks and food for only $25 per person! The sangria was incredible, along with the arancini. The cheese fries were solid, I liked that it was a white queso. We ordered a margarita pizza and it came out as a regular cheese pizza, but honestly it was still so good we didn’t care.

This is an excellent pizza spot with delicious oysters and fresh salads. The service is great, and the vibe is fantastic!

It's a good place to meet up with friends - very large space with big tables. Very millennial brewery/sports bar vibe. We went to the bar bc we just wanted to drink and there was plenty of room there on a Friday night, no wait. Tbh, the beer was not my favorite in the city. I probably wouldn't go back for the beer, just nothing spectacular of what I tried. But, like I said, good meet up spot and their patio looked very nice. Can't speak to the food - we just got drinks. Oh, they do have a full bar though if you're not a beer drinker.

Beer was good. Pretty much all I can say. Sat at the bar, waited forever to get served drinks. Brussel sprouts were soggy. So gross. Who wants soggy sprouts?? Couldn’t finish them after 2 bites.

Was touring Happy Hour spots and wanted to catch up with a buddy and Urban was close by. It was a weekday so not too busy. Seating: They have indoor seating and enclosed outdoor benches, the view of the street and passers-by was really nice. Also they allow pets so bunch of dogs chillin with the neighboring patrons. I chose outdoor and it was really comfortable and spacious. Food: Happy Hour menus pretty packed. Wings, ribs, fries, pizza. Lot of options at reasonable prices 4-10 bucks so good value. Got the truffle fries and it a LOT of fries. More then enough for 2-3 people if you're coming with friends. Drinks: Good drink menu as well. Sours, IPAs and ale's all available. All within 4-7 bucks so again great value. TLDR: Great space, great for bigger groups 3-6. Pet-friendly and good food and drinks for the price. Would recommend!

Yelp
Food was tasty! The wings and brussel sprouts were delicious, as well as brownie. We sat outside and it was a little cold, but the heat lamps were great. My party were the last ones outside for the night and we weren't rushed out, which was very nice.

Yelp
I have been coming to urban village for many years it's a go-to restaurant in No Libs because most of the other restaurants suck tbh. The service is always amazing and everyone is genuinely nice which goes along way. But the food has gone down hill. I used to order the Penelope to-go all the time after work. I got one tonight and it was a mess even sitting at the bar.... The pepperoni is made usually in house and crispy. Tonight It was chewie and tasted like raw pork roll. Cheese distributed messy and even the pizza slices were huge and really small and made it annoying to spilt with someone. I'm happy to spend the money on a 20 dollar pizza I just want it to taste like it. HMU when your pizza looks like this again

Yelp
A group of 4 of us went on a Thursday night (for trivia) - no reservation but we got seated immediately in the covered outside patio- it was cute picnic style benches and heated so even in February we were warm, and we could also still participate in trivia. Our server was really attentive and greeted us promptly. They had ran out of a few beers on tap (bummer) but they had a pretty good selection of beer, cocktails, wine and I ordered a non-alcoholic beer which was delicious. I was so hungry and everything on the menu sounded amazing - I ordered pierogis which came with 3 large ones, and fries which were delicious and a huge portion! My friends also enjoyed their food and drinks, and we had a great time!

Yelp
If I can gate-keep this place I would, however they're too good not to recommend!! My favorite brewery in Philly! Good service, nice employees, and so much space! Everyone is so friendly and the food and vibes are amazing! My family visited from out of town and the services was amazing and warm! The beers were also are great! I highly recommend Wrong Way, Super Villain and Jedi mind tricks, if you like IPA! My only request.. please bring back chump change

Yelp
We were looking for a place to meet up that was away from the Mummers Parade route as we were meeting up on New Year's day. This location in Northern Liberties was perfect for friends coming in from South Jersey and Reading Pennsylvania because they would not have to mess with any of the Broad Street /City Hall traffic. There is no dedicated to parking lot so you've got to find street parking and it is a busy street and as there are several other restaurants and bars but nonetheless everybody found a spot pretty easily. I made a reservation through open table so we had no wait when we arrived. Our waitress was super friendly and patient as we were too busy catching up to even look at the menu despite the several times coming by the table to see if we were ready. She never made us feel rushed and was friendly and helpful with suggestions. Two of our friends are big beer drinkers so they appreciated trying the craft beers and enjoyed them. I'm not a beer drinker so I got the heirloom daiquiri (and even though it wasn't the fruity pureed type of Daiquiri I prefer) it was sweet which is what I look for in a cocktail! Not pictured, our friend ordered the Betty White pizza and loved it. Our other friend ordered the fried calamari and said it was typical in taste with no complaints. My friend and I both ordered the beet salad with roasted chicken and it was amazing! Pictured below you'll see that it not only has beets and goat cheese with lettuce in a refreshing dressing but it also comes with spiced roasted chickpeas which I love! I would eat the salad again and again!

Yelp
A rare combination of good food and good beer. Ample seating, large bar, fast and friendly service. Great place to stop in and watch the game.

Yelp
This is our go to lunch and dinner spot with the kids! Pros - offer happy hour - food comes out FAST! - indoor and outdoor seating - service is always fast and friendly - ambiance is a little noisy, but it's generally kid friendly - offer crayons and a kids menu - restrooms are always clean - love their spicy cauliflower, so tasty and full of flavor - kids pizzas are actually all adult sized - offer a pretty comprehensive drinks menu (lots of beers and cocktails) Pros - street parking only

Yelp
Came here before a concert for a couple drinks and small plates. Service was quick, beers were cold, and food was delicious! Wish we had more time (and bigger stomachs) to try more things from their menu!

Yelp
Super fun space for a day drinking / lunch spot! We sat outside in the heated tent patio space and loved the atmosphere here. We got some of the home brewed beers, truffle fries, cheese board and some wine. Food was good, but nothing super and service was good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and we walked in after our brunch across the street and were able to sit right down. Def a cool spot to pop into if you're walking around northern liberties!

Yelp
Great beer and even better food. The nickel bag of funk (5% ABV) is a nice crisp West Coast pale ale with Citra and Mosaic hops. It brings the funk without overpowering. Oatis is a 7% ABV oatmeal stout that drops chocolate bombs on you. A bit too heavy for 16oz, but I recommend 4 or 8oz pours for sure. You could treat it as a dessert beer to finish. Food standouts: 1. Pierogies: made in-house and stuffed with potato & pepperjack cheese served with house kraut, caramelized onions & fennel. A flavor bomb that pairs well with their beers; and 2. The Mediterranean beet salad with sweet potato hummus, spinach, arugula, goat cheese, pickled veggies, crispy chick peas and a herb vinaigrette. Fresh, tasty and balanced. Logistics: Reservations via Open Table. Online ordering via Toast.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Friday night after dinner at a local restaurant. Walked into the covered outdoor area. Wasn't sure where to go to get seated as it wasn't clear. Finally found it and we were seated in the covered outdoor area where we walked in. It was very nice and clean. They have lots of sturdy old school picnic tables in that section. There was live music that night so it was a nice addition to the visit. I tried a stout and my friend got the cider on the menu. Everything was good-service, drinks, etc. oh and the cute dog and the table next to us was a bonus!

Yelp
My friend and I were walking around and happened upon this place. The vibe was really great - staff was kind, the customers were really friendly, it just felt good. Food was really wonderful too. I wouldn't say they're falling over in gluten free options but they had plenty of dairy free. I got the chicken wings and fries and they were really good. My friend had the pizza and asked for mushrooms on top. The mushrooms were a little spicy for her which she didn't expect and the super kind waitress took the whole pizza off the bill. It was a nice spot with great people - I normally prefer healthier fare but I wouldn't be sad about coming here again!

Yelp
Urban Village is a local favorite of mine. They've always got good rotations on tap, the staff is really friendly and the happy hour is on point. The food especially the pizza is really good here. It's large enough for groups but great for a close intimate meal with family or friends as well. You can't go wrong at this place.

Yelp
Had a tent set up for 2nd street festival, grabbed a beer and walked through the festival. Tasty beer, light and refreshing.

Yelp
Great place to hang out with a group of friends! Lots of space to accommodate even large groups because there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can always be a challenge but it's the whole area. Drinks Lots of beers and different cocktails to choose from. The beers you can get taster sizes so that you don't have to commit to full pours which I appreciate. I tried a few of their IPAs: - Don Mega which is a fruited IPA. This was great... i like a fruity drink but not too sour and not sweet, this was just right with being an IPA and not too bitter. Great for someone wanting to start drinking IPAs - Wrong Way - a hazy IPA. Citrusy with a bitter finish. Refreshing! - Cask Porter - i forget what it was called but it tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal! Not too syrupy like a lot of stouts/porters can be... this was actually easily drinkable! Food Food options are endless! Wings - the Moroccan flavored wings were really good! I highly recommend trying! Truffle fries - good amount to share for a group! Pizza - went with the Brooklyn pizza which had spicy tomato sauce and slow roasted brisket. Great flavors my only wish was that the crust was crispy. It was doughy and soggy... so i ate it with a fork . Hate eating pizza that way lol. Other than that, everything was awesome' I will definitely be back! Food and drinks and the whole atmosphere is a recipe for an awesome time!

Yelp
The food here is good, I really enjoyed the kale salad with the whipped ricotta. The aeperol spritz was also one of the best ones I have had in Philly. I don't remember the bartenders name but he was so awesome and kind!! Definitely a nice spot for a casual night out to watch a game!!

Yelp
PHILADELPHIA: Urban Village Brewing Company is a great brewpub in the Northern Liberties section of Philly! Leashed dogs are allowed at their huge space outdoor space that is covered and climate controlled. They make their own craft beer and have a nice selection of lagers, sours, hopped beers, and more! There is also a full bar and a nice selection of whiskey made locally in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania! A really wonderful food menu too with their featured pizza, and also sandwiches, salads, shared plates, and a few vegan options. We had a nice time hanging out with friends and our server was fantastic!

Yelp
Urban village a fun bar. Good to come to with groups and to watch the game. Food is good, service is good. Good variety on the menu too. I enjoy the Caesar salad with chicken.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was amazing! We were visiting from Houston, and our friends recommended it highly. Well, they were definitely correct!! We indulged in a plethora of happy hour drinks and yummy bites. My favorites were the spicy cauliflower, trout dip, the Rita pizza, and a perfectly sweet sangria. Eating out in the fresh air was so pleasant. I can't wait to come back to Urban Village next time we're in town.

B I.

Yelp
Attentive and super quick service. Well designed and there was plenty of space. Most importantly food was delicious. Some of the best fried calamari i've had in a long time.
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
The Penelope pizza has a fluffy dough with just enough chew. And the burrata, pesto, and pepperoni all played well together on this one. The smoked wings could have been smokier, more juicy, and more tender. But they were OK. The fries are thin, crispy, and well-seasoned as I enjoy them.

Natalie P.

Yelp
Service is always friendly. Food and drinks are always delicious. Great vibes clean atmosphere

Yelp
Urban Village is great because they can accommodate large groups very easily, they have a wide range of drink selections, and their food is delicious. One of the biggest challenges I face on a regular basis is finding a place that can accommodate a group of 8+ people. An old group of friends was reuniting for a brunch on a Monday off, which is already a difficult enough task cause so few places service brunch on Mondays. If they do, they don't take reservations. When you are a group of 8, you can't just show up and expect to be seated. Luckily, I took to my reservation apps and did some snooping around and found exactly what I needed at Urban Village. I have been once or twice before, but that was pre-pandemic so I don't think I can faithfully rely on those memories. I'm pretty sure it was a decent enough time because I didn't take to Yelp in anger, but it was probably just average because I also did not take to Yelp in joy. Well, this most recent visit has me here, on Yelp, writing a review in joy! Now to the important part, what I ordered... I tried one of their white pies. It was freakin delicious. I was also feeling generous and ordered some fries with beer cheese, for the table. (I am the table, the table is me) I was a bit hungover from a weekend of drinking and running around, so I opted for a soda. They have Boylan's bottled soda which is wonderful. All of my friends were able to try some delicious beers, cocktails, and of course other food items from the menu. The highlights were definitely pizzas. And the fries, they were really freakin good!

Yelp
I love this place! While traveling thru Philadelphia we stopped thru this amazing space it had jazz music and a great happy hour! I love the food as well as they are great and easy to love prices. Fun bartender's too and great at handling high volume demanding crowds.
google avatar

Tamika B.

Yelp
Yea, it's a no for me. I must say while sitting at the bar -- the bartender was cool and checked in during my time there. Met up with a friend and we shared a Penelope pizza & truffle fries. It was okay. Pizza needed more flavor of some sort and fries could have been fried better. I also tried one of their cocktails that had hibiscus and tequila. It was weak. Guess it's a good beer pub for the beer lovers but this spot was just meh. Also, I was sweating inside (with a no sleeves shirt and shorts on). We decided to eat inside due to the weather being extremely hot and inside was no better!

Yelp
We were in the area with the pup and felt like getting a bite, tried el camino but they had a waitlist and then walked into Urban village Brewing, they too had a waitlist but in addition to their outdoors and indoors seating, they also have a self service outdoor space, so We were able to wait with the pup with a few Brews. They are keeping up with the Covid protocols with cleaning the tables, we were seated within 20 min. I was really looking forward to trying the fried chicken sandwich but they were sold out . We had to reconsider the menu and decided to go with the pizza, sword fish sandwich and the crispy spicy cauliflower. Although the food was great and the server checked on us a more than a few times, our food was running quiet late. The Pizza was delicious but slightly charred on the bottom. Definitely a great spot in Northern liberties.
google avatar

Komal K.

Yelp
This place continues to be a solid location in NoLibs. Management and staff is super friendly. Throughout covid, they maintained a pretty solid safety protocol. They're extremely family friendly, and that includes your fur babies too. My pup always gets their plain grilled chicken when he's there. Beers are amazing as always and pizzas are a hit. Must visit whenever you're in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Krystal G.

Yelp
I've been here about 3 times and each time the service was great and the atmosphere is super chill. It does get packed, but maybe the times I've been there it really hasn't presented to be a problem (long waits, slow service, etc) The food is good. nothing that I can pinpoint and say this is why I come here, but it's an easy go-to for a business lunch or get together for a quick lunch with some friends.
google avatar

Yelp
Don't know this place very well but Wanted to give it a try and chicken wings was raw ? So idk about anything else

Yelp
Make a reservation! It gets pretty packed on the weekends. Went here to celebrate a birthday. I'm not vegan but I'm open to trying vegan dishes. Wanted a burger, so tried their vegan burger. This was a huge miss! The party was like fried mashed potato, also kinda grainy. I barely touched it. Fries and cauliflower were good. Short ribs mac was really good too! Alaina was our server and she was amazing! Friendly, attentive, great sense of humor. The host was ehhh. He wouldn't let us push two tables together. (Both tables were ours. Wanted the whole group to sit together) He said it's too heavy. We said we'll do it ourselves. He still said no! Wth. Uhhh...okay? Then Alaina came to the rescue. The man and Alaina ended up pushing the tables together for us... Thanks girl! We'll probably be back.

Yelp
This was an incredible find as I was wandering this area after a long day doing pre-election canvassing. I was delighted to find a brewery because I felt like a badly needed, well-deserved drink, and figured pub/bar food would suffice. Beer was summarily excellent, but they delivered a much better meal than I expected. I ordered the Flounder Po Boy--now, one word of caution--if you are from New Orleans, you probably won't get past the name, as this is not a po' Boy. 've only visited the Big Easy multiple times, and I was mildly offended. I can only imagine a a New Orleanian rage equivalent as that of when I visit Chicago and am served what the locals there call "pizza." However, once you get past the name, you have an excellent, hearty panko coated filet of flounder which is nicely complemented by a very un-po boy avocado along with lettuce, tomato and an interesting chili tartar sauce that was good (but could have been spicier). The fries were also particularly tasty. I was even more impressed with the Village salad, though--legit mixed micro greens, topped not just with your basic salad toppings, but also with shaved fennel and watermelon radishes--shockingly fresh and inventive and tasty--far beyond what I expected from a bar salad. The beers I tried were all quite good as well. The well-named Ghost Face Keller was an excellent version of the style, and paired wonderfully with the fish and salad. Afterwards I tried the Rye Bread IPA which was tasty and very aptly named--very much akin like I imagine drinking a loaf of rye would be. I generally like this style, and it was fine, although they may have taken in a touch too far--the caraway was perhaps a touch too overpowering. I also took a crowler of the Breakfast Bonsai stout to go, which was an excellent dessert beer for the night. Service was excellent, both insofar as bar spacing and observing social distancing protocols. Everything inside was clean and well-marked. My server, Shaq, was incredibly friendly, and informative about the beer, and clearly I wasn't the only person who felt that way based on the rapport he seemed to have with some of the more regular patrons. He really made me feel at home in Philly by bantering with some locals about his NY Giants fandom. I tend to enjoy breweries--or want to enjoy them--but this one really exceeded my expectations, both for beer and especially for food--well worth a visit for either (or both!) in Philly!

Yelp
Great service, delicious beer!! I am seriously a fan of their lagers. The food was good, ordered their Pizza and fries, the fries were delicious but I had higher expectations for the pizza (hence why I didn't rate this place 5 stars), but otherwise, great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Yelp
I've eaten at Urban Village a few times, but only recently did I discover the Tara pizza, and it is now my favorite thing to order from there. The kitchen is very generous with the toppings and covers the entire pizza with kennett mushrooms - which are sooo good. The truffle cream and the pickled radish complement the mushrooms so well, it makes this the ultimate pizza. I'm not really a fan of the pizza crust, but it's not going to stop me from coming back. Urban Village used to host trivia nights at 8pm on Thursdays pre COVID, and they are totally doable and fun but also very popular. I usually make reservations 2+ weeks in advance. Service here is very good. I've only had one bad experience with a group, but the staff at Urban Village wasted no time in setting things right.

Yelp
Urban Village Brewing Company represented my first foray in outdoor dining in the COVID world. For a bulk of my time in shutdown, it's been a nice mix of some good 'ol home cooking and the occasional take-out once or so a week. This time around, plans changed so outdoor dining became a reality. One thing I'll say is that management has done a pretty good job with separating tables and engaging with patrons. The staff has been very attentive and - as a result - the turnaround time is quick. One side effect of COVID is the increasing use of disposable items, from paper plates, forks, knives, condiments, etc. As of now, the days of using proper plates are gone. Maybe that's something our leading medical professionals can ponder on. Back to the important thing - food and beverage. I mainly came to try out the beer. Can't go wrong with some locally brewed craft beer in Philly. I had myself a Wildey and thought it was pretty damn good. Loved the taste. As for food - we split two pizzas and a side. The beer fries were not bad, but because we received them with our main items (again probably due to COVID), we didn't have much room to eat many fries. Also - as an FYI - these fries don't do that well when reheating, so you're better off eating them same day. The fries were good - at least the ones I could eat - and they were a very generous portion. Perhaps more than 2 people could enjoy those fries. The pizzas were pretty good too. The spicy cauliflower pizza had a very nice zing with the cauliflower. The fermented chili sauce adds the spiciness. The bianca pizza is a nice contrast pie. Always been a fan of white pizza and the bianca certainly didn't disappoint. With the times we are in, this was a fun night out with good food and brew. Can't go wrong.

Yelp
Oysters, Pizza, Beer and Jazz music. Oh what a winner. Came to Urban Village on a Friday night attracted by their strong beer ratings and positive reviews on their pizza. I was not disappointed on either front and got some happy bonuses. It is a large modern place with lots of seating, two brick ovens and a good sized bar. The staff does its best as its quite busy and I noted that even the managers were stepping in to deliver food and fill drink orders. The beer selection is quite good, and the beer here is upper level. The brewer has a good handle on creativity while not killing you with crazy overbearing flavors. I had oysters to start (treat), and they were excellent. Next was a pizza. I ordered one of their pizzas and asked for an ingredient change. No probem and they got it right. The toppings were good, the tomato sauce was top notch. But the real star is the dough. They claim to use sourdough that is aged for 3 days, and it is excellent. Chewy and delicious. The final topping was a live Jazz band playing some wonderful music. Great place and I will return to indulge myself again.

Yelp
I've been going to urban village for years. Great atmosphere for date nights, or casual friend hangouts during the day (you can bring a pretty big group because the tables outside are like big farmhouse benches) The outside area is dog-friendly! The beers are great as are the pizzas and the appetizers never disappoint either.

Yelp
Urban Village is a solid choice for some upscale bar dining. The place is pretty big inside and has tons of outdoor seating, which is heated in the winter. Great, laid back atmosphere. The beers they brew are solid. I've had multiple varieties and none have been disappointing. I really enjoy the Wildey witbier. Food here is solid, especially the pizzas. They offer a good happy hour and are great for groups. Service is always friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
Pizza and beer, deadly combo. They have a great happy hour deal as well, Sunday-Friday from 4p to 6p, includes a variety of food and drink. Outdoor seemed pretty dog-friendly, we were sitting out on the patio and a couple dogs were just hangin with their hoomans. Big fan of white pies so I loved the Bianca, tasted pretty simple & clean; not your typical "thin & crispy New York slice", crust had a bit more chew which I personally liked Wrong way IPA tasted amazing, light and crisp in the summer heat Only thing that was meh was the cars/bikes that rev their really cool engines while they drive by

Yelp
Fantastic food, vibe and beer selection. Made a reservation on open table, was sat quickly on a Friday night. Will be back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
This restaurant is right near my apartment so I wondered in for dinner one night. We sat at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We got drinks, a salad and the Mac and cheese. All were very good. They also have an outdoor seating area and play games like trivia and bingo with prizes!

Yelp
5/5 ambiance, 5/5 food selection, 3.5/5 service (bar was struggling and no managers stepped in to help, upsetting to see), waited about 15 minutes for our drinks after ordering food. I really love this spot but management turning their back on patrons at the bar to chat with regulars ain't cool. Help your bartenders and servers! Overall a positive experience and i highly recommend the beer fries with the manchego sauce, and the Cecelia pie is an amazing veggie option for pizza.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night after a small road trip from New York. I absolutely loved this place: good drinks, good food, good music, good vibes. What more could I ask for? We ordered: 1. Spiked hot chocolate: Pretty good, pretty standard 2. Beer that I forgot the name of: Fresh and light 3. Prosciutto and arugula pizza: Oh my god, the sourdough crust on this pizza was to die for. The sauce was also well seasoned and the toppings paired amazingly. I want to go back to Philly just for this pizza alone. 4. Chicken and bacon sandwich: We ate this as leftovers and this was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. The chicken is so thick and I thought it was going to be dry, but it was soft and juicy. The pesto was delicious as well. The food also came out super fast and the service was great. I definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
I came here mainly to try their pizza and it didn't disappoint! I ordered their Penelope and the Sofia pizza and although both were good, I like Penelope more. The kalbi bbq ribs were delicious and the price was reasonable! I would love to try other items on the menu next time.

Yelp
Urban Village first had me with a Berliner Weisse flavored by beets. And since then it has won me over with bold beers, stellar food options, and a great outdoor seating area. When I first read about the aforementioned beet beer I was scoffing at the idea but also very willing to try. And when I did it Beets by J added up to an unexpected win that also showcased their willingness to go beyond the typical IPA overload that most breweries do. And even though they also do pale ales like their Rye Bread IPA, and juicy milky mosaic hopped Super Villain very well; they continue to make bold new beers like their kettle sour Fruiti Di Bosco made with 3 kinds of fruit puree, and their Night Howler Imperial Stout. For awhile I knew all this beer stuff about Urban Village without actually visiting the spot thanks to going to fests and grabbing cans at other spots. But upon visiting I instantly enjoyed things like brussel sprouts sauteed with bacon and spiced sweet potatoes, smoked wings with a Moroccan chili sauce, and beer fries with a manchego cheese sauce. I also made note to try things like their pizzas and pork belly sandwich on future visits. The beer was even better in flight form, and the outdoor area was huge and perfect for a good weather day. Toss in even more beer at the Piazza Pod Park now (with a namesake beer to boot), and there's even more reason to stop in.

Yelp
Went the Saturday before the Super bowl, and it was very busy but they were able to seat us outside in the heated covered tent. We have been here numerous times and always have a great experience. Our waiter, Brian, was attentive and all of our drinks and food came out in a timely manner considering how busy it was. I would especially recommend the French 75, it was light and refreshing. This is a great place to stop for a round of drinks and appetizers or even for a dinner- I highly recommend!

Yelp
Ordered the Sunny boy beer which was light and citrus bodied. Great for a summer evening. Grabbed the Fairmount chicken sanwhich and fries. Sandwhich was good with fresh ingredients. The avacodo adds a smoothe texture. Fries are seasoned well and crispy. Atmosphere is amazing with street views from the windows. The inside is like that of a lively tavern.staff and environment make for a very enjoyable visit
