The Best Ramen Restaurants in San Francisco | Eater SF

"If you’re looking to try a different style of ramen broth, which can skew more toward chicken and pork, Ushi Taro will instead tempt you into trying its beef broth ramen. Go for the paitan if you’re looking for something more classic, but there are other ramen takes to explore, such as the oxtail tomato ramen, if you’re so inclined. If you’re a fan of roasted bone marrow, there’s an option to add it as a flavorful side. The restaurant also has a second location in SoMa." - Dianne de Guzman

San Francisco’s New Restaurant Openings

"Ushi Taro, our go-to for beef bone marrow ramen, has opened another outpost. This SoMa location serves more of their excellent ramen in five different flavors: classic paitan, spicy, shio, shoyu, and vegan. If, for some reason, you’re not craving ramen, they also have a rice bowl, gyozas, and beef karaage on the menu." - ricky rodriguez, julia chen 1

Small joint that blew me away! The broth is packed with flavor, the meat nicely cut and the eggs perfectly cooked. But the best thing was their tempura mushrooms! OMG! And I'm not a big fan of fried food. Super recommend, give it a try!

Google
The food was very delicious, though a bit salty for my taste. It went really well with beer. The portion size was just right. The tables were a bit close together, which was slightly uncomfortable, but understandable since it’s a small place. I liked that you can add sides to every menu item.

Google
Beautiful cosy restaurant with top class food and service. We are visiting from the UK and we were looking for a ramen restaurant near our hotel on Mission. This restaurant didn't disappoint. We had the Gyoza + Traditional & Shoyu Ramen. All dishes were served with care and full of flavour. Highly recommended! Thanks for looking after us.

Google
Really delicious ramen! I got the Spicy Miso Kimchi Ramen (sub tofu for vegetarian), which is not on the normal menu, but on in-restaurant cards. LOVED the spice level (medium, maybe 3/5) of the broth. The mushroom appetizer was DELICIOUS, the texture is great. Would be great if paired with a sauce.

Google
Cozy atmosphere. Fantastic ramen - broth is flavorful, but not overwhelming, and the egg was perfect. Noodles had just the right amount of bite. Eat the beef first, before it becomes overcooked!

Google
Wow, what a beautiful experience! The beef bone broth ramen was outstanding, with a unique take on the broth that I’ve never tasted before. They then added perfectly prepared bone marrow and their signature garlic paste—so good!

Google
I ate here late Saturday without a reservation and got seated pretty quickly although the restaurant is small and there aren't many seats available. I wanted to try beef ramen cuz I've never had it before. We ordered the beef karaage and the beef ramen and my friend got the spicy beef with the bone marrow. Everything tasted excellent, the beef was very tender and cooked very well. The beef karaage was surprisingly good, I would order it again for sure. The service was a little slow at times cuz the waitresses are very busy despite the small space so you'll have to flag them down yourself. The price was pretty good, affordable for sf, and I would definitely come back! Beef ramen is super unique.

Google
Ushi Taro is a top contender for world’s best ramen. Yes, you read that correctly. We came here 3 weeks after they opened and explored almost the entire menu. Every dish was a blend of simplicity and magic. But let’s talk about the ramen… What makes Ushi Taro unique is that they use beef bone broth as their base, not the usual pork bone broth (tonkatsu) that you often find. That and slices of beef for their protein rather than the usual slices of pork (chashu). As simple a change as all that may sound, it’s very uncommon, even in Japan. Well, these folks have cracked the code. This ramen is decadent, while at the same time simple. Minimal, carefully selected ingredients, all cooked to perfection, and served in humble yet homey and upbeat digs. The “icing on top” is the bone marrow addition, served with the actual bone to be spooned into the bowl, contributing style and engagement to the overall experience. Fun and unique. Order anything on the menu. You literally cannot go wrong. I don’t live in SF, but I can’t not come back here next time I visit and every time after. Already looking forward to it.

Yelp
Waited about 20 mins on a Saturday night for a party of 4. There's only street parking but we were able to find a spot right in front of the restaurant. The server/hostess is super friendly and accommodating to our party. This place is one of the most unique ramens I've had as most ramens are cooked in a pork broth but this place uses beef broth!! They're most known for offering bone marrow to their ramen so we had to try it for ourselves. Most of us got the spicy ramen and it might be my top ramen broth I've ever tried. It was rich but yet not too heavy. Don't get me started on their soft ramen egg... literally the perfect runny consistency. The bone marrow also added a lot of depth and i added it to each spoonful of my ramen broth and noodles to have the perfect bite! I will say that personally, after a while, the bone marrow became too much for me and I wish I got one to share with a friend. I also love that they have mushrooms as a topping. Will definitely recommend to friends who visit the area!

Yelp
Hands down one of the best ramen places I've had outside of Japan. Broth was so rich and creamy! We came at open so didn't need to wait and there was street parking nearby. Restaurant is small and cozy so I imagine normally the wait could be long. P.S the crispy mushroom was SOOOO good, I sometimes still think of it

Yelp
11/10!!! Everything about this place hit the mark! Appetizers: Karaage - 10/10 Well seasoned, crispy (not oily), super tender meat inside Crispy Mushroom- 10.5/10 Super light, crispy, delicious and meaty mushroom inside, very tasty!!! Ramen - 10.5/10 Traditional ramen comes with egg (added garlic oil and bone marrow): The broth is rich, tasty, balanced and has depth! The meat was super tender. I recommend scooping some of the bone marrow to eat on top of the noodles than leaving it in the broth. Spicy ramen comes with egg (added garlic oil and bone marrow). My date loved this!! Know that it does have quite a kick! Ramen was SOOOO good that we drank our broth bowl dry!! Portions are big and my date ended up not ordering extra ramen to eat in his broth. Service was friendly and efficient. This is an intimate restaurant where you come to eat delicious authentic food, and not a place to dwell. Which is good for quick table turnover. Price - very reasonable!! Easy to find parking nearby!

Yelp
Ushi Taro Ramen was really good. It's a small, cozy shop with a bit of a wait on weekends, but the tables clear up quickly, and the food comes out fast. The ramen itself was absolutely delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the egg was spot on, and the broth was rich and flavorful. What really stood out to me was the meat, instead of the usual pork chashu, they use beef, which was incredibly tender and added a unique, delicious touch to the dish. The portion sizes are just right, and the prices are affordable. The service was efficient, though not the friendliest, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. If you're a ramen lover, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Yelp
Overall super solid! Excited to have one near me. Beef karrage was crispy & super tender on the inside, starch velveted meat texture was nicely done. The classic ramen didn't disappoint either! Agedashi tofu was okay, would personally skip this one next time I go.

Yelp
Love the ramen here. We had the traditional paitan ramen and the spicy ramen. Both were excellent. The beef slices are a little chewy at first. I recommend dunking them in the broth upon receiving your bowl and giving them a few extra minutes to cook. I got garlic oil for the traditional paitan and it definitely added some flare. I also got a side of bone marrow, which has a decent amount of marrow inside, but felt like I couldn't appreciate it that much because the broth was so rich to begin with. Will probably skip it next time. We tried the crispy mushrooms appetizer too. It was super light and crunchy, and came with a good amount of mushrooms. It's on a street with little foot traffic so you shouldn't have to wait long to get a table. Service is good and food comes out pretty quick. Overall great ramen spot in soma.

Yelp
Ushi Taro Ramen | San Francisco 1. Spicy Ramen -- beef bone broth, roasted beef fillet, oyster mushrooms, onset egg, house red chili, and truffle 2. Crispy Mushrooms -- himeji mushroom in light tempura batter with Ushi Taro Ramen in San Francisco is a cozy Japanese restaurant known for its rich and flavorful ramen bowls made with slow-cooked broths. Located in the Lower Nob Hill, it offers a variety of ramen options, including tonkotsu, miso, and spicy! The restaurant itself is super small but the ramen is top tier in terms of quality. I got my hands on the spicy ramen and the crispy mushrooms!

Yelp
We passed by this place on the drive home and were super intrigued because we've never had a beef based ramen before. This seems to be a second location since there's another in SF, but this SOMA location is pretty out of the way. It doesn't seem like the type of area where you'd just be walking around since there's not that many stores on the street. As appetizers, we tried the beef karaage and crispy mushrooms. Both were a bit on the oily side, but still super delicious! I was impressed with how generous they were on the amount of crispy mushrooms. For the ramen, we tried the classic paitan with bone marrow and hiyashi chuka. My favorite was the paitan because it had the perfect balance of flavors with the beef broth. I thought the beef fillet in the ramen was good, but I definitely missed the fatty chashu in typical pork-based ramens. The hiyashi chuka was a cold noodle that we were interested in trying. The noodles were cooked well, but the broth was on the saltier side. Overall, I definitely recommend coming here if you're interested in trying a beef based ramen!

Yelp
I've gone to the other location before, but I was happy to see that Ushi Taro opened up another location in the SoMA. I've been raving to all my friends and coworkers that I really loved this place, especially because you can order bone marrow with your ramen to jazz it up. My bestie and I (we both work together) ended up taking an uber to get Ushi Taro for lunch! It was her first time here, and we came around 11:30-12ish. There was only 1 other party in the restaurant, but it did start getting busy when it was around lunch time. This location is on a busy street, so parking can be tricky to find. I'd recommend getting here a bit early to find street parking if you can. Otherwise, ride share is your friend! Compared to the other location, this one seemed slightly smaller but it did accommodate more parties against the wall and there were tables scattered around the restaurant. The decor was more modern and simple, which I liked. My bestie and I got seated along the wall where we were able to sit with right next to each other. There was only 1 server present, but he was very attentive and made sure to check on us throughout our meal. We both ended up ordering the following: -1 Spicy Ramen $17 +$10 bone marrow +$2 for black garlic oil -1 Spicy Miso Kimchi $18 +10 bone marrow I don't remember what our total was since my bestie ended up paying up front and I sent her my portion after. It was probably between $40-50 for two people. I've had the spicy ramen before and it's delicious! I absolutely love the steak you get alongside all the toppings it comes with. The bone marrow and the black garlic oil definitely hit the spottttt. It's not everyday you can order both at the same time. The broth was rich, the perfect level of spice, and perfect on a cold day. My bestie ended up liking her ramen too and thoroughly enjoyed the bone marrow too! Everything was perfectly balanced and it was a great portion. Ushi Taro is on the top of my list when it comes to ramen. They elevate ramen so well and everything is seasoned just right. Definitely recommend trying this place out (at either location). I believe the prices are fair for the quality you get and the service here is amazing!

Yelp
I've been a long-time Ushi Taro fan so I'm excited about this new location in SoMa! Everything in their menu is exactly like their original location in Sunset. My favorite thing to get is the Spicy Ramen: spicy beef bone broth with tender beef cuts, thin mushroom slices, green onion, truffle, and egg. This ramen is perfectly spicy and you can tell that there's a lot of care that goes into making it. If you're not feeling ramen, I recommend the Gyudon or Beef Karaage. Service is amazing and quick and the location is reminiscent of traditional Japanese ramen shops, which all make the dining experience that much better. You have to try this spot out!

Yelp
I love this location by Golden Gate park so I'm glad there's another one here! The beef is always tender and prepared so well, and matches the quality at Richmond. I didn't love the flavor of the spicy one, but still enjoyed the surrounding elements such as the fresh chewy noodles and the egg is actually marinated very well and cooked soft boiled to perfection. I always stop in when the location is convenient!

Yelp
Wow - simply awesome. Truly a standout ramen that is in my top 2 places stateside. The agedashi tofu has a thicker batter than I am accustomed to but was not overbearing. Light, tasty sauce, and generous portion. The ramen was fantastic. I typically prefer denser/thicker broths but this ramen proved you could have a light body with equivalent (and arguably more) depth of flavor. My spicy broth was delicious but my fiancé's shoyu took the crown. The noodles were the perfect consistency, egg golden and gooey, and I loved that there were thick hearty prices of mushroom. Prior to this visit, I would've said chashu is a ramen necessity. But holy cow, never did I imagine a beef filet to be such a perfect pairing. The cook was spot on with great flavor and unreal tenderness. This is a MUST visit for any ramen fan!

Yelp
I've been to their Inner Sunset location a couple of times but didn't know they opened a spot on a somewhat desolate stretch of 8th Street in SoMa. That's good news for me because it's a lot closer to me plus I happen to favor their non-ramen dishes. It's not that I don't like a piping hot bowl every now and then, but the sodium kicks in at the most inopportune times. Good thing the menu here provides a diverse offering. Dropping by a couple of times now, I've been quite satisfied with the food I ordered. First up was the $9 Gyoza, beef dumplings pan-fried so that it comes epoxied together in one crispy sheet of paper-thin dough (photo: https://yelp.to/NC-O_5URDa). Accompanied by a sesame oil dipping sauce, it was a midnight Ginza back alley delight in the middle of the day. Next up was the $8 Crispy Mushroom, a generous pile of lightly battered shimeji mushroom tempura (photo: https://yelp.to/MIKqYeU9J-). It was satisfying like a bowl of popcorn shrimp. My second visit yielded my personal favorite, the $18 Curry Rice where they mix bites of sautéed beef tenderloin with a glossy Japanese curry made with carrots, potato, and red onion. A cup of milky beef broth (photo: https://yelp.to/eOx2S_5YzY) and a soy sauce half-egg completed the plate (photo: https://yelp.to/wtbMlmPEpc). It honestly tasted like Dotonburi-style comfort food, and that's high praise indeed. I'll get to the ramen eventually, so hopefully they'll stick around. FOOD - 4 stars...authentic Japanese goodness from what I can tell AMBIANCE - 4 stars...they make the most of a small place SERVICE - 4.5 stars...quite an attentive crew TOTAL - 4 stars...Japanese comfort food done well RELATED - Exploring western SoMa? Yelp
Was craving ramen and stumbled upon this spot with my big sister. It was a lucky surprise for sure, as prices were more than decent for a ramen restaurant and the food was just as great! This ramen is unique in the sense that everything here is beef based from beef broth to beef pieces being the topping. Even their Karage and katsu are beef! It's nice to see a unique ramen spot with a twist because usually with Ramen places you expect the basic chicken and pork broths (which are good as well), but it's nice to have a different option! Waiter was kind as well, and the interior ambiance and dining area was nice. Definitely give this spot a try if you're interested in a beef broth ramen, and if you're feeling crazy add some bone marrow and black garlic oil!!!
google avatar

Yelp
such kind service and great atmosphere. one of the best ramen spots in SOMA. I really liked their beef karaage, might even like more than the ramen.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday evening and it was fairly busy! However, we were seated relatively quickly. It's a small restaurant, so I would just be mindful if you have a group bigger than maybe 2-3 people. We ordered the Crispy Mushrooms ($8) and their Traditional Paitan Ramen ($17). I got mine without the black garlic oil and my boyfriend got his with, and both were delicious! The black garlic oil really changes the flavor of the broth and I honestly highly recommend it. I've never had beef bone broth ramen before and I would definitely go back and have it again. The portions were also pretty large, we were definitely satisfied after the meal. The crispy mushrooms were also a nice appetizer, I love mushrooms so I'm very biased. Overall, this was a cute restaurant specializing in a unique dish. It is definitely worth a try!
google avatar

Kelly H.

Yelp
We ordered the fried mushrooms and the veggie ramen with egg and black garlic oil. The mushrooms were really delicious and was a great appetizer. It's a bit on the saltier side, but I really enjoyed it. The ramen was amazing. The broth was so flavorful and delicious, and the noodles tasted wonderful. The ramen also came with a wide variety of vegetables that were a delicious combination. Also highly recommend adding the egg and black garlic oil!
google avatar

Anthony H.

Yelp
This is the best ramen I've had and the best service I've had at a ramen place. Full stop. I've eaten at famous places in LA and elsewhere and this is incredible. The fried mushrooms were amazing as well. Such a cute place right off Folsom so it's very convenient right before going out on the town. I had the miso mushroom based ramen this time and it just blew me away.
google avatar

Katelyn R.

Yelp
A good 4.5. Clean restaurant, great water, reasonably priced, and overall delicious food. Even though me and a bunch of other customers probably came in 20 minutes before closing, we were all served attentively and did not feel rushed at all. The crispy mushrooms were so savory and I feel like the batter was perfectly light and crispy but also flavorful. The meat in my ramen was very tender, the broth was definitely a bit salty but so good- the noodles were cooked perfectly. The bone marrow was a nice touch, I feel like a little lemon would've been perfect with it. I also tried the katsu curry and it had a good standard flavor, the meat was a bit chewy but still a good dish.
google avatar

Seth R.

Yelp
I'm a fan of this ramen since the spot in inner sunset. And I'm excited to have them here in soma. This space might be even smaller than the other one but nicer. The service is sub par when you have young person who don't know much about hospitality but at this rate, I guess you need to care much because just here for the food. The ramen both paitan and spicy one still solid , the soup reminds me of beef broth from knor but it's really comfort you in a cold day. Definitely not gonna order gyoza anymore, you can tell from the picture that it burns and the flavor was mediocre. I think the one at inner sunset was better than this. I would come back only just for the ramen itself.

Yelp
Awesome ramen place where you wouldn't expect! Hoped in around 11:30 for lunch on a weekday. Was quickly seated, and ended up going for the beef ramen. Broth was nice and flavorful and noodles were solid. The beef was above expectations, and my only complaint is that I should have gotten extra beef! Beef was very flavorful and very tender-- probably some of the best beef Ive had in ramen in a long while. Service is pretty fast and friendly. No complaints here, and def a place I want to come back to.
google avatar

Belinda W.

Yelp
It has become my new favorite ramen spot in SoMa with quality and consistency. It absolutely scratches the ramen itch. It is a small place though so be prepared to come early or embrace the weekend dinner rush (~ after 7:15pm) and wait for a table. I visited twice for dinner only and had enjoyable meals both times (both traditional paitan and shouyu are tasty ramen choices btw). The beef broth was flavorful along with the tender beef slices you're served with. I really like that they use mushrooms instead of your typical bamboo shoot offering. In addition, the noods were chewy and bouncy. Oh, and the crispy mushroom appetizer is a must order to start. They came with great texture and with the right amount of seasoning. So thrilled there's a delicious casual ramen spot in the area and will be returning for sure. Also, street parking is much easier than Irving.
google avatar

Helen L.

Yelp
Today was a hot day. Inside was warm. I can see coming here in the winter and slurping away. Had the traditional paitan noodle. Slices of medium beef nicely spread out in the bowl. So tender, still pink. I like green onions, so if you don't, ask them to not put it in. It was delicious bowl of noodle. Al dente. Love the oyster mushrooms and pinch of truffle.
google avatar

Yelp
Been thinking about this spot since the first time I came here a month ago. Ordered the Traditional Ramen and added the black garlic oil. I also ordered the crispy mushrooms. Both were delicious. My new favorite ramen spot in the city!

Yelp
I'm thrilled that one of the most unique ramen restaurants from my old neighborhood, the Inner Sunset, has finally opened a new location in Soma. The food is just as good as I remembered. The interior is modern yet cozy, with a simplistic design that evokes traditional Japanese style. The Noren separating the kitchen from the dining area adds a homey touch, letting you hear the kitchen sounds. They successfully replicated the original location's wonderful vibe. Here's a review of the food I tried from their soft open menu: 1. **Edamame 7.5/10** - Great flavor with garlic and soy sauce seasoning. It's slightly spicy, which is perfect, but the texture was a bit mushy. A shorter cooking time would improve it. 2. **Fried Crispy Mushroom 10/10** - A must-try dish with perfect texture and flavor. It's mostly unseasoned, so you can control the flavor to your liking, but make sure to add salt and chili powder as I did in the photo to elevate it from a 7-8 to a 10. 3. **Beef Karaage 8.5/10** - Inspired by the well-known chicken karaage, this dish features tender, medium-cooked beef with a crispy outer layer. While additional salt and pepper would enhance the flavor, it's delicious on its own. 4. **Shoyu Ramen with Bone Marrow (+$10) 9/10** - You can choose from various soup bases: Shio, Paitan, Shoyu, Spicy, and Vegan. Shoyu is a great beginner option if it is your first time here, and the bone marrow addition is a must to elevate the soup. The firm noodles are excellent for my liking, but you can probably adjust the firmness to your liking. Overall, the restaurant earns a 9/10 from me.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
I ordered the spicy ramen and added a bone marrow. Every single component of the spicy ramen was well executed. The ramen is perfectly al dente, meat was not dry, king oyster mushroom was cooked well, loved the green onion on top, egg is great, soup had a nice spicy kick to it, and the truffle was very fragrant. The bone marrow was very tasty but I think the ramen itself is already really good so you don't really need it. Shocked there was no line as I preferred this place over other TikTok viral ramen shop.

Yelp
Great little hole in the wall restaurant. Cold noodles on hot days and curry in cold days! Love this place. Realizing I come here a lot. Waiter now brings me hot sauce before I have to ask for it! You rock! Let's talk hot sake! If you offered hot sake I would never leave
google avatar

Brenda H.

Yelp
I visited this location during their soft opening, and I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the broth of the Shio ramen. This broth was particular unique from other ramen shops I've visited (and there's been many) because it was very light and refreshing but still rich in flavor. The portion size was great - there were a lot of noodles and meat in the bowl, and I enjoyed every bite. We got the crispy mushrooms and they were fried lightly for a good crunch, with very meaty mushrooms. Service was quick and attentive as well. I'm happy that I live close to this new location and will be frequently here any time I'm craving ramen.

Yelp
Decent and ok size serving for ramen but the bone marrow's are too small to be that expensive

Yelp
Visiting from San Diego, I've never seen a beef broth ramen so we decided to give it a shot. It was really the bone marrow that drew us in. He got the black garlic, I got the spicy and then later added some black garlic oil. We both added bone marrow. It was freakinh delicious! Out new favorite ramen spot, he finished his bowl in under 5 min and then half of mine in the next 5 min.l all while happy danc8ng in his seat. The beef broth was as tasty as any pork broth but didn't feel quite as heavy. The tenderloin was very tender, perfectly cooked. The marrow was deliciously rich.

Yelp
Very good beef-based ramen! My friend enjoyed the vegan ramen with black garlic. Not much in way of atmosphere as it is a tiny spot but the food was worth it!

C S.

Yelp
The vegan ramen is so delicious! I had it with black garlic. We started with the crispy mushrooms, which are tempura battered and live up to their name. Everything was great tasting, service was fast and friendly. My only criticism is that the spoons are wooden. They're cute but give me the ick from a germ perspective. Anyway, restaurant is cozy inside, food is great, service is fast and friendly. I'll be back.

Yelp
My FAVORITE ramen restaurant in the Bay Area. I personally love bone marrow and they have a special black garlic oil that adds so much flavor to the broth. The people were decently friendly and the food came out fast. I liked the smaller intimate setting but can get super busy! I recommend going before 6 or after 7:30pm to beat the rush!

Yelp
MENU AND FOOD: Ushi Taro Ramen serves up a list of ramen noodle soups and appetizers. SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE: Service is quick and efficient. They have indoor seating only and their indoor decor is appropriate and appealing. PARKING: Located in SOMA, there is only street parking available. IMPRESSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: We had their spicy ramen and shouyu ramen. While the beef slices were tender and the broth was flavorful, we felt the noodles were a bit undercooked. My favorite dish, which is their beef karaage, was sadly over-battered and under fried. Compared to their Inner Sunset location, the food at this location could be improved.

Yelp
This place was pretty good! It seems like a very cute small shop that is soft opening! We ordered the shoyou Ramen, and also the beef rice. Everything came super fast and the rice had a lot of flavor in it! The service was great and the environment was super clean! Hope to see more varieties on the menu soon!

Yelp
Had to visit a new ramen spot in the city! While not in the best part of SoMa, the neighborhood was fairly quiet the evening I went. The restaurant has about three standalone tables while the rest of the seating was bar-style. The biggest table can accommodate 4/5 people. The menu had a good selection of appetizers and ramen. We went with the fried mushroom, which was very tasty. For the ramen, I went with the original and the broth was incredibly rich and creamy. The meat was also extremely tender! For $16 a bowl, you'll find great quality at a great price :)

Came here on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar. It's a little small inside and feels cozy. Service was excellent. Got the traditional paitan ramen and it was so yummmy! Broth did not taste too thick or rich, was just right. Shared the gyoza, the skirt is cute. :)

Yelp
Came in shortly after 5pm (we were lucky found street parking) and place had handful of people. Food was similar to place in Sunset but seem to have more limited menu. They gave me an extra bone marrow because one side was anemic but the other side had lots of marrow. I ordered the traditional and they forgot to give me my egg (had to ask but onsen egg given was cold). The food was good but the service lacking maybe because server couldn't see us where we seated but we waited good 15-20 min to try to get server to pay bill - finally just stood up. Place was really empty too (they served 2 groups of 2 people who both came, eat, paid and left before I finally just stood up).

Yelp
A new japanese restaurant in Soma with a few tables and counter seating. The crispy mushroom was super delicious and full of unamu flavour, highly recommend if you like mushrooms! The ramen we got was good but lacked a certain depth in flavour, it felt a bit one dimensional. I really really liked the katsu curry and can't wait to go back for some more. It tasted homey and the portion was pretty big

Yelp
Nice twist to your typical ramen experience. Food is excellent. I love the mushroom karrage.

Yelp
Wow this place is amazing. I got the spicy ramen and it was so good The spice level was there but not overpowering. The meat was ridiculously tender. This is by far a must try. Splurge and get the bone marrow add on. It's worth it. Especially if your more of a fan of the more traditional tonkatsu. This place does a beef base so it's not as fatty but the bone marrow bridges that gap to give you that richness.

Yelp
I randomly walked by this place on my way home - got The Traditional and was pleasantly surprised. Very rich and tasty broth. Service was fast and nice - worth the $$$ will be coming back!

Yelp
First! I'd like to say I'm not a picky eater but am very critical of what I do eat. With that said, this place was great. I was able to stop by for Tuesday lunch during their "soft opening." We ordered the crispy mushrooms, spicy ramen, and original shio. Crispy mushrooms were freshly and meaty. I recommend sprinkling some togorashi (red flakes) on them. Both ramen(s?) were excellent. The spicy was not too hot (take it from someone who always picks spicy) and umami. The original shio was one of the more unique ramen. The broth was similar to that of Sullungtang (Korean beef broth soup). While both ramen had truffle, the truffle was distinct and tastier in the cleaner original shio ramen broth. Service was great. Definitely should have been busier so I'm shouting them out here. They also have beef curry Katsu, apparently, but not on the main menu. Would definitely recommend. One of the way better ramen spots I've had in a while.

Yelp
Ive been here twice since its opened recently and both times service was fast and the food was delicious. The restaurant itself is cozy and the seating is available for all kinds of groups. i work close by so i was able to get my lunch here enjoy the meal in shop and have time to get back to work; thats how fast it came to me. ive tried the shio, shoyu, and spicy ramen. all super delicous and rich in flavor. the beef on top of the ramen was tender and soft. you can even see the bones the use for the broth! no complaints and i have to say the servers are very friendly as well! definitely coning back with some friends and drinks!
