Fantastic! I was in Nashville visiting for work and wanted to check out Centennial Park. Was looking for somewhere nearby for some lunch and came across Uzbegim. Having never tried Uzbek food before, this was a no brainer!
Highly, highly recommend trying something off the grill. The Tovuq chicken kebab I tried was SO juicy and tender and delicious. It came out hot and fresh, with a great char and spiced to perfection. The skewer was complemented with thinly sliced raw onion, which were pretty mild and sweet. If I ever have a chance to make it back here, I will definitely try other items off their grilled menu.
I also got the Fried Laghman noodle dish, and this was very tasty as well! Generous amount of meat with great flavor. The handmade noodles were chewy and thick, and despite being fried, it was not too heavy or oily. Loved the very subtle sour vinegar/lemon in this dish and good amount of veggies to round it out too.
I had ordered the Uzbek bread as well, which surprised me with how big it was. Especially for the price, I was expecting something really small and it's actually huge. In my opinion, this was just okay, not a lot of flavor but beautifully presented and good value for sharing if you come hungry!
Service was friendly and prompt. Restaurant was pretty quiet when I was there for an earlier lunch time. Upstairs they have a small store where you can buy breads and pantry items to go.
