I'm giving 5 stars because the authenticity here is unmatched. It's an unassuming little spot, and when we arrived, there was nearly no one there. It was 2pm, but regardless, the place was quiet. They did not have half of the menu, though, so keep in mind that if you go you might have to choose from fewer options. For example, I wanted to try the noodles, which they did not have.
Here's what we tried:
Kemal Kebab (Lamb with potatoes): 9/10 - Some of the yummiest potatoes I've had! They came whole but were cooked in a rich sort of oil, and the lamb literally fell RIGHT off the bone. So good.
Manti Dumplings: 8/10 - The beef inside was slightly dry but the dough casing the dumplings was SO yummy. I loved the texture. Also, the yogurt sauce is a good addition.
Wedding Fried Rice: 8.5/10 - Lovely flavor to this! I normally don't like fried rice but it was rich, sweet, and saucy. Not dry like most I've had. The lamb was pretty plentiful on top as well.
I don't think this place is overhyped. It might be underhyped, despite its Michelin guide recognition. I'll definitely come back to try the noodles and the naan.
