"If Vedge is the class valedictorian that never steps out of line, V Street is its little sister who stays out past curfew and still somehow still gets an A on their test the next day. It’s mostly a bar with small street food plates, and everything on the menu is under $15, but it’s all so good that you’ll forget you only originally came here to please your vegan friend with five different food allergies. Some of our favorite things are the miso butter noodles with nori, pickled ginger, and gochugaru, and the trumpet mushroom shawarma, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu." - Sydney McElwee

"V Street, a vegan restaurant in Rittenhouse, started as a cocktail bar and later included the lunch spot Wiz Kid. It was known for its inventive cocktails and a menu featuring spicy, globally inspired dishes. The restaurant merged with Wiz Kid in 2019 to serve sandwiches during the day and V Street’s signature dishes at night. It is permanently closed as announced by owners Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby." - Rachel Vigoda

"Owners Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby merged the location with neighboring (also vegan) restaurant V Street three months ago, Philly.com reports, primarily out of necessity. According to Landau, V Street was simply not large enough to meet the demand of clientele. V Street is now formally operating out of 126 S. 19th St and 124 S 19th Street (the latter of which was once the Wiz Kid space). V Street will serve offerings from Wiz Kid's vegan salad and sandwich menu at lunch. V Street, which was once solely open during evenings and for weekend brunch, is now open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch service on weekdays." - Audrey Carleton

"Another Vedge selection slated to make an appearance is whole roasted carrots with pumpernickel and sauerkraut puree. V Street’s street food-style fare, some of which Landau says is 'too spicy and bold' for Vedge’s menu, will also be served at Fancy Radish." - Tierney Plumb

Vegan tapas style options but at entree prices. They don't normally take reservations for big groups but they were able to accommodate 7 of us on a Sunday night. Service was friendly but food was disappointing and overpriced. A lot of the dishes were spicy without options to make them milder. The cauliflower and the mushroom dishes were the best. Dessert options weren't great.

We were a big group and ordered everything on the lunch menu. Everything was delicious and we were happy to try it out as we were initially skeptical about it. Quaint place with good Kombucha and drinks menu to leave you completely refreshed. Staff was too generous and service was quick too. Especially the Peruvian French fries had a different flavor with peanuts and quashed olive toppings. Salad was a standard one with an unique taste (don’t consider it boring please :))

OMG... simple menu with complex flavors. Everything was amazing. We had four main dishes, two drinks and a dessert. I feel stuffed but not uncomfortable... you know that feeling when the food was just to heavy to digest. This is not that feeling. Absolutely no complaints with the food, service or the vibe. This is the real deal for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. Heather our server was great. And I just had to get a photo of the chef artists at work. What a well run open kitchen. Definitely definitely give this place a try... Make reservations because they fill up fast.

Been craving these Dan Dan noodles since I had them 2 years ago here. Great vegan good. Many dishes have a spicy kick. Took non vegans here who enjoyed the food!

Ah-mazing food! I'm making the transition to Vegas and it's always a challenge to get sumptuous vegan food while traveling. V Street is a jackpot for vegans! Portions are similar to tapas and I had - Peruvian fries - spicy, flavorful, probably 4-6giant fries (more like wedges) - enjoyed these Beet langos - 3pieces. They were creamy, flavorful and just delicious Dan Dan noodles - spicy - had a nice kick to them, not a broth consistency - sauce / curry. I enjoy these Not a dessert person, but the soft serve looked very tempting and I had to get one. The special that night was apple pie. So glad I ordered it! After gorging on the 3 dishes, I was about to burst and yet finished my soft serve. Vegan or not, this place will not disappoint!

I'm not vegan but we were hanging out with friends that are vegan. If you are a food lover, this place is good for you. I ordered Doubles (Trinidad) which were not authentic, but very delicious. My wife had the coffee French toast which was very delicious as well. The beer selection was ok. Bathroom was very clean and the mirror above the sink was funky (see pic). Service was friendly and food came out pretty quickly. I'll definitely be back to this place.

Stopped in for brunch recently and had a very good but not amazing experience. The drinks are excellent; creative cocktails and a fleshed put beer list. However the food was hit or miss. All savory options (rancheros//dan dan noodles) were very good but the sweet brunch options needed some work. We’ll be back for dinner to try more of the savory foods.

We went for dinner and started off with the Luxor lemon drop and the Cookie Monster. The Luxor lemon drop was a delicious cocktail. Not too sweet and not too tart. The Cookie Monster came with a few mini cookies in the upside down umbrella. The drink was blue and was basically a mai tai. I’m not sure why cookies went with the fruity drink besides making the connection to Cookie Monster. If you like to drink a mai tai then this is a good choice. But if you think it’s going to be something creamy or more cookie like then I would pass. We got the Langos and the shishitos for an appetizer. The langos are hungarian potato bread, sauerkraut remoulade, smoked shiitake. Both really good. I love shishitos. The burnt miso was perfect and the togarashi added to the dish. For dinner my husband got the KFT tacos which were korean fried tempeh, radish kimchee, spicy special sauce. Most places use tofu which is almost never done right. The tempeh was perfect on this taco. More restaurants should offer it this way. I ordered the spicy Dan Dan noodles which is 5 spice mushrooms, sichuan peppercorn. Amazing! I was worried it wouldn’t be spicy enough but it was perfect! Slightly creamy and just the right amount of kick. The mushrooms were prepared perfectly. I highly recommend V Street to anyone who wants amazing food that can also be shared. We’ve gone before with friends and ordered multiple dishes and we were all able to have a taste of something amazing. Great for helping or introducing people to amazing vegan cuisine!
