Via Emilia Garden Review - Wynwood - Miami - The Infatuation

"This place comes from the same people as the original Via Emilia 9 in South Beach, which is a restaurant we usually save for when we can’t get a table at Macchialina. Their Midtown spot is bigger and has a handful of outdoor tables, but the restaurant itself feels unfinished and impersonal - and the mediocre pasta doesn’t quite make up for it." - Ryan Pfeffer

Best Valentine’s Day Takeout Options in Miami | Eater Miami

"Travel together to the northern Italian region of Emilia Romagna via dishes of zucchini carpaccio, meatballs of braised pork belly and green peas, tagliolini with truffle, pumpkin cappellacci in bolognese sauce, and breaded chicken with prosciutto and parmigiano fondue. There are also plenty of desserts to indulge in including a dish of chocolate salami and mascarpone cheese, panna cotta with blueberries, and a variety of gelato options." - Juliana Accioly

Via Emilia 9 Review - Miami Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"Via Emilia 9 is, by South Beach standards, a relatively calm Italian restaurant - especially considering it’s just a few blocks south of Lincoln Road. Instead of a sweaty horde of 17-year-olds trying to use fake IDs to get into a hookah bar, here you’ll find very good pasta, tender grilled artichokes, and gnocco fritto - which might become our new favorite way to consume dough." - Ryan Pfeffer

Nonna Beppa Starts Serving Tortellini in Hudson Square Monday - Eater NY

"Via Emilia 9 is an Italian restaurant located in Miami, opened in 2014 by chef Giancarlo “Wendy” Cacciatori. It specializes in pasta and regional dishes from Bologna and Modena, Italy. The restaurant gained recognition when musician Questlove praised its pasta on Anthony Bourdain’s show Parts Unknown, describing it as 'much, much better than good.'" - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Vía Emilia is a true gem — the food is exceptional and undeniably authentic Italian. You can taste the passion in every dish, with flavors that take you straight to Italy. The owners are always present, welcoming guests with warmth and genuine care. It’s rare to find a place where the quality is this consistent. Hands down, the best Italian food we’ve had in a long time. Real, heartfelt, unforgettable.

Google
Wonderful dinner at this charming little spot in South Beach! The restaurant is cozy and welcoming, and the owners are truly lovely—they make you feel like you’ve just walked into their home. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian experience (approved by a real Italian!), this is the place to go. Highly recommended

Google
Highly recommended!!! Real Italian food in Miami. Home made pasta is a plus. Dishes are light, tasty and full of flavors. Support local and visit that restaurant.

Went here for a pre-show dinner on the advice of a friend. Very cute atmosphere and unusually quiet for a Saturday night when we arrived at 5, didn’t get any busier when we left around 6:30. We had a few glasses of wine and started with salads and a braciole app, both were good and satisfying. I had the spaghetti Vongole which was good, just overly oily as in swimming in oil, not necessarily how this dish should be. The olive oil they use by the way is outstanding. My wife had a chicken cutlet with prosciutto which she thought was overly salty. My buddy got a seafood pasta special which was excellent. Overall is was very good

Google
I had an amazing dinner, it felt like being back home in Italy. The food was super fresh and full of real, authentic flavor. You can tell they really care about what they serve. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The vibe of the place is extremely nice, with a unique charm that’s hard to find in the U.S. If you want real Italian food and a welcoming atmosphere, this spot is a must. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
We’ve dined here a couple times and have always been happy with our experience. The staff is pleasant, though overworked and understaffed so be patient while waiting to have your order taken. The amusement bouche of mortadella and parm was excellent and a delightful welcoming. To start, we really enjoyed sharing the Polpette Pancetta e Piselli and Carciofi e Parmigiano. For our entrées, we loved the fresh homemade Tagliatelle al Prosciutto di Parma. The Gramigna Sporca Faccia was also good. The 2016 VIANDANTE MONTECUCCO paired well with our meal. I can definitely see this as our new neighborhood spot. Good food, and great value.

Very nice setup, the fact was all home made pasta really peeked out interest. Would absolutely go back again

Google
Absolutely the best homemade Italian food in Miami. This place is a hidden gem. Pasta is hand-made and absolutely incredible. Steaks are huge and delicious, fish is fresh, and the salads are fresh. Hand spun pistachio ice cream. Good wine selection. Great romantic Italian restaurant. Just don't tell everyone. Enjoy

Yelp
We came here for a welcome dinner for a wedding we were attending. This place definitely had Miami vibes. There is street parking available in the front. There is seating inside and a few tables outside on the sidewalk. Tuesday is Wine Tuesdays. 50% off the wine list. The staff was friendly attentive, but seemed to consistently reach over me as I was eating. The food was very good. We had a set menu. First was the Eggplant Parm. They grill it here instead of frying it which actually worked out for me. I sometimes get sick from fried eggplant. Next were the meatballs. They were surprisingly good for not being in a red sauce. This was the first time I've had Italian meatballs that weren't in a red sauce. Definitely made with the top quality meat and spices. Last course was Lasagne Bolognese. Lots of flavor and very delicious. Not much red sauce on it like a typical lasagne. The meat more than made up for the limited sauce.

Yelp
Ooooff! The pasta here is phenomenonal! So fresh and authentic. It is a bit pricey but so well Worth it. The flavors are so fresh
google avatar

Emma B.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, but the food was a bit disappointing. Pasta is probably the way to go here. I asked if they had a gluten free pasta and didn't get an answer, so I ordered the octopus. It was charred, with a prominent burnt flavor. The potatoes were also fried to a crisp. And it didn't come with a sauce? I ended up using the oil and vinegar on the table because so it was so dry. Again, I'm confident other dishes here could be good! My friends seemed to enjoy it- the octopus just wasn't one of them. I had the panna cotta for desert, that was good! I'm happy I could end the meal on a better note.

Yelp
Excellent food, served by the most awfully loud, hectic, and disheveled staff you can imagine. If you like circuses, come here... loud music, come here. If you like equally good food in a more peaceful and relaxed environment: go elsewhere. Three stars because the food was excellent.

Yelp
Ive been coming to this place since 2015, one of the best homemade freshly rolled ravioli and pasta place. They are nice for lunch on a Saturday when its not too crowded, never a disappointment and amazing dessert also

Yelp
Omg this authentic Italian restaurant is everything! The place is super cute and the decor has a simple and clean elegance to it. Our server Roberta was phenomenal and from Itlay. Authentic all the way here. Ingredients are from Italy and pasta made fresh and in house daily. They even have a market selling sausages and pasta and even have classes to teach how to prepare a fabulous meal. It was my aunts birthday and with Miami Spice we thought this was the perfect intimate gathering for our family. Everything on the menu sounded exciting amd taste worthy. Everyone besides myself and stepdad went with the miami spice menu It was all good cause my fork.would be tasting everyone else's dishes. We started off with a complimentary starter. I'm so sorry I don't remember what it was called but it had a delish cheese that was like mousse with a drizzle of balsamic, absolutely delicious. I can eat these like popcorn. Starters on the rest of the table were the Burrata e Pomodorini, the Parmigiana di Melanzane (this is an absolute MUST) and the Prosciutto di Parma con Gnocco Fritto. All of.these were delish and I can so do a repeat on all of them happily. The freshness and taste were just all here. Main dishes were 2 tagliatelle al ragu, tagliatelle al Prosciutto di Parma, and Tagliolini all' Astice (think lobster pasta). All were fresh, homemade and just fabulous. Everything we ate got great reviews from us all. To the end the night I had a blueberry panna cotta, I didn't share. I don't care either, lol. It's one of my favorite desserts. It was scrumptious. Around the table there was Gelato and Tenerina al Cioccolato (warm chocolate brownie with macaroons with strawberries). Everyone eas beyond satisfied. This place is authentically fabulous and a definite Must! Enjoy

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and the food and service didn't disappoint. Their pasta can compete against some of the best in south beach. I was a little skeptical of the location but once inside it's very authentic. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the music was so irritating ~loud Spanish rap (on a Wednesday) that completely took away from the beautiful Italian charm of the restaurant. I really hope the music gets sorted as I'd love to go back.

Yelp
I live down the street and must have walked by Via Emila a dozen times, well I was coming back home from a long walk and was craving a bolognese. Saw the menu stand and decided to give it a shot, oh man, first I can't say enough about the service, really amazing by any standards, really make you feel at home, not to mention as if you're home in a little Italian village. I ordered the artichoke salad which the waitress recommended and the bolognese, eureka...with a glass of montepuliciano, or two...it was a fantastic dinner. My new fav local Italian. Really makes me think I may stay in south beach for a while ...Mille grazie Valentina e il team

Yelp
For those with gluten sensitivity, they can switch out any of the pastas with the GF spaghetti and add the sauce. Only one option of pasta for GF is spaghetti (not sure if it is house-made). Ordered the Tagliatelle Panna Salsiccia e Funghi made gluten-free with GF spaghetti. Not as great as the real thing, but the mushroom and sausage cream sauce was still good. 6/10 Clam pasta: the pasta itself tasted good but very little clam flavor, in fact they were so tiny you couldn't taste it. 3/10 Tiramisu: no coffee flavor, rather disappointing, 2/10 Panna cotta with blueberries: not bad, 6/10 Cappuccino: a bit too much on the milky side, for my taste, I like to be able to taste the coffee. 4/10 Wines were good 8/10

Yelp
My first Italian restaurant review in May is for Via Emilia 9. Tucked away off Alton Road, I found Via Emilia 9 while walking and doing errands in the area. Since I wasn't fully fashionable (i.e. dressed for jogging), I ate outside while also people watching. Its vibe blends perfectly from casual outside dining to a more formal inside dining room. Even outside there's a nice section with turf and larger tables in case you want to enjoy your larger party outside. I only drank water since I was working out, and refills were pretty timely. Since I was eating light and healthy, I started with their caprese. Its minimalist design - just creamy mozzarella and diced tomato slices - were refreshing and healthy. With the pasta just at al dente, a generous meaty bechamel and shredded mozzarella, my lasagna main course was hearty and delicious. A little bit of extra marinara or pizza sauce would have been perfection. This is a dish I'd order here again! My sweet closing of a mascarpone and nutella dessert, garnished with strawberry slices and ladyfinger cookies was a great close. Definitely a cool find!

Yelp
best Italian, true made from scratch and the service is excellent Never had a bad meal

Yelp
Wonderful and authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of South Beach. Hand made pasta, friendly staff, and extensive menu makes Emilia 9 my top pick when visiting the beach. We started with the affetati and gnocco fritto followed by the risotto special of the day. We needed our meal with espresso and affagoto...amazing all around. The decor is incredibly charming. Delightful ambiance. 5 stars across the board.

Yelp
My 7yr old son and I have been coming here for several years now and the food, the service and flavor is always on point. We love it! Ambiance is cozy, beautiful lighting esp during the holidays. Virginia of course is our favorite server! And always a pleasure to see Valentina & Chef- thank you all. We've been to the one in NY as well and was great.

Yelp
Went here with a friend for the miami spice menu. Small place. Wonderful decoration. Staff super attentive and welcoming. For appetizers I did the burrata and my friend did the prosciutto. My burrata was accompanied with bread. It was delicious. I loved eating it. When it came to the main course. The lasagna was okay. Nothing to brag about. It wasn't something to gush over but still edible. But when dessert came around. Wow. So glad I waited. Because the tiramisu was the star of the entire night. It was delicious. I'm not a coffee fan, I mixed everything together. But the tiramisu turned everything around for me. Decadent and creamy. I would definitely come back here again. Make sure you leave room for dessert you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
One of my favorite hidden gems in Miami!!! This authentic Italian restaurant sits on a side block in the residential area of South Beach. When you walk in you will see the chef making the pasta and the tortellinis. One of my favorite dishes is the spinach and cheese ravioli and the pasta with bolognese sauce. The meatballs with braised pork belly and green peas is to die for. The service is excellent and the ambiance homely but stylish. Definitely a great place to come with family or have a romantic night out.

Dani G.

Yelp
Via Emília 9 is always a great idea. Homey, with a team that welcomes you, and a menu that is straightforward and delicious. The in-house made pasta is wonderful. The vegetables are fresh, as well as ingredients.

Yelp
Via Emilia 9 is a fantastic Italian restaurant in Miami Beach. Their dishes are exceptionally authentic and the service is top-notch. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Italian cuisine!

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Hands down the best!!! With my group of friends, we decided to book at Via Emilia 9 since one of them had already visited and loved it. From the outside you do not appreciate how nice and cozy this restaurant is. Probably the most cordial and friendly welcome I've had. Just love it! We sat inside and our table was perfectly set, with dim lighting, very appropriate for a dinner, a cozy atmosphere , pretty quite and pleasant. We start ordering some appetisers to share like: Burrata/Eggplant Parmigiana/ Melon-Parma ham/ tartare di manzo. Omg! I can't even describe the taste of their tomato sauce (eggplant parmigiana) . MY FAV. ever! Main course : gnocchi 4 formaggi . Resuming it was a spectacular dinner, the food was amazing by far the best I have ever tasted in Miami. We had some mishaps with the delivery of some dishes but nothing mentionable. Staff attentive and friendly. It is worth mentioning that they have an Italian Mini market with endless products. It seemed very clever to me since after dinner or lunch you can go shop some Italian delicatessen. We can't wait to come back!

Lois G.

Yelp
One of the top authentic small cozy Italian restaurants. Our second visit here and again everything excellent. Owner in charge. Runs flawlessly. It's not noisy!

Yelp
Auténtica comida italiana, un lugar acogedor. El servicio un poco lento pero sin dudas lo recomiendo

Yelp
This is the second time that we order from them on Uber eats. The first time my wife ordered the spaghetti ala vongole and she got spaghetti with clam shells. The second time the order arrived without my wife's order for the same thing, and the driver said to call the restaurant about the missing order. When I called, the woman that I spoke to (didn't identify herself) told me that they were out of clams and apologized, but said she tried calling Uber and could not get through. I was angry and said this was unacceptable and used an expletive. She called me back 16 times. Sorry I hurt your feelings, but not very professional, infantile, and we are never ordering from your restaurant again. Buyer beware my wife ate left overs.
google avatar

Yelp
Truly Italian and full of flavor - small but good wine list and great apps and entrees

Al C.

Yelp
Amazing food - recently went to Italy and this did not disappoint. They have a unique and delicious salad with arugula and grilled artichokes. The tagliatelle pasta with prosciutto in a creamy Parmesan sauce is a personal favorite. Lasagna was outstanding. My friend got the nightly special which was a baked whole branzino and it was great - it should have been since we found out it cost $75. Have to deduct one star because our server didn't mention the high price of that dish when she told us about it.
google avatar

Allan T.

Yelp
Every single thing was strange. The eggplant Parmesan tasted like mushrooms with Gruyère. The octopus carpaccio tasted like tuna. The meatballs were way too chewy - like minced grizzle with chunks of bread. The service was terribly slow. The portions were tiny. Like two bites per plate. We had a whole list of things we wanted to get but after a few bad plates we decided to leave. We spent almost $200 and left hungry. We actually went somewhere else to eat after because we were both starving and disappointed. There was nothing good about anything we got. I'm still in shock. We will never be back. There is no way all the "good" reviews are real.
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
We live close by... went in to find another local place to walk to... I'm not sure if maybe because we have gone at an "off time" but it has always seemed like we are bothering the staff. The dishes are pretty small but very good-a tad overpriced though. Every time we go it's completely dead so not sure why we feel like we are a bother to the girls working there.... There's no happy hour so I feel like that could make it better in terms of getting more ppl in and have a better vibe. Basically - we will go again but not as often bc of the attitude of the staff and the lack of happy hour prices from time to time... lasagna is THE BEST!!
google avatar

Buck G.

Yelp
bread was good and pasta was better. but the clams were lacking. They were smaller then a new born baby's finger nail. Also after ordering the lobster and spaghetti came it was quite fishy due to the cold broth it came with. however the steak and potatoes was phenomenal.
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Always good service and food, an almost hidden gem I've been reluctant to check in to lest too many people start coming here
google avatar

Martin B.

Yelp
A little overpriced, even for Miami. I got lamb tortellini that was cooked well but I could barely taste the lamb. The truffle on top didn't help much. But I think there were better things on the menu.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
We came to Emilia's on a whim in hope of really good pasta and this gem delivered. The set up is warm and welcoming with friendly servers to match. Unfortunately, it was late in the evening so we missed out on seeing the prep area live in action. To start the night we had the prosciutto plate with a delicious side of bread. Then for my entrée I ordered the tortellini, though tasty it left me longing for a second round of bread. I would recommend choosing a more filling plate. Our night ended on a high note with the tiramisu. Trust in me and order your own, their tiramisu is too good to share!
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
Cute little place in Miami Beach, just close enough to the hotels but far enough that it's not as expensive as the other restaurants! The food here was honestly amazing despite the small portions it was still filling. The tiramisu was the best I've ever had in my life! Ambience was great sitting outside, and the servers were very friendly. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the service did take a while even to get some water. Other than that everything was great and I recommend this place for some good Italian food!

Eduardo G.

Yelp
I ordered the prosciutto di parma, it was good. Unfortunately, the Octopus with potatoes was super dried, bland and overcooked. the only good thing about the dish were the potatoes.

Gerard M.

Yelp
We always liked the food at Via Emilia 9, but unfortunately it has become too expensive for us. Prices have outpaced inflation. The crazy price increases must stop in this town.
google avatar

Jaime L.

Yelp
Underwhelming. The restaurant seats perhaps 40 people inside and 10 more al fresco at the curb. Decor is folksy Italian. Service is terribly slow. Pasta took over 40 minutes to get ready. My pumpkin cappelletti were insipid and undercooked (not al dente, undercooked). The ragu, however, was quite flavorful. Salad portions are very small. Ordered the chocolate salami for dessert, which was quite good. Inadequate and very slow service, somewhat expensive prices, inconsistent food.
google avatar

Rafael S.

Yelp
Owners are lovely and do know how to take care of customers. However the same can't be said of the staff; not rude, but unfriendly and automated. The Food is original but uninspired; bland flavors although good quality. We had a bland Branzino and bland Tagliatelle Panna Salsiccia e funghi. The ambiance is a side street by a gasoline station with a serious issue of lack of parking. The house Pinot Grigio and Chianti by the glass are ok. Bread is also bland although good quality. The place is very expensive for what they serve... Two couples with wine by the glass and sharing dessert and appetizers was $100 per person including tip; not a good value. Hope they were better vis-a-vis the quality of ingredients. Good Prosciutto though; but you can get that a at good Deli.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite neighborhood places, good Italian food from the region of Emilia Romagna. I always enjoy it and now that the outdoor has been extended, it is really lovely to sit outside, today we went there for lunch, very enjoyable. I had Tagliatelle Panna Salsiccia e Funghi, this is one of my favorite, fresh tagliatelle with homemade sausage, mushrooms and cream sauce, very rich and very tasty and my friend had the Tagliatelle Carciofi e Limone, fresh tagliatelle with artichokes & lemon, this has a more delicate taste, I would recommend the one with Sausage, Mushroom and cream ......... of course I do We lingered there for quite a while chitchatting and enjoyed a nice bottle of Falanghina white wine, always good for lunch, at the end finished with espresso coffee, I am Italian I am very picky about my espresso, normally I really don't like drinking espresso in restaurants as very often it is really bad and bitter but, our server Viviana, insisted that I should try it and, she was right, it was good so, thumbs up for espresso as well. Viviana was really lovely, so well done on all fronts. I am already a regular and of course I will come back again for more @via_emilia9

Yelp
Food was definitely subpar. Restaurant looked nice but the food was not appetizing to say the least. First off we went to order an appetizer but they were out of garlic, in an Italian restaurant, I thought that was impossible but they made it possible. So instead I ordered an appetizer that came with prosciutto and arugula, as well as 4 puffed pastry breads; this was the highlight of the meal. When our main course came out which was a simple pasta a la bolognese for both my wife and I, let's just say it didn't look like any other bolognese sauce I've ever come across. First off the pasta itself was very undercooked, the sauce tasted just like an off brand Chef Boyardee pasta with meat sauce which had almost no tomato sauce and a white greasy sauce. Also with our plates they gave us a paper bag with some pieces of bread too. I was pretty shocked this was the type of food they are putting out hiding behind a nice ambience and fancy cups. I hope this restaurant can really improve as it looks really nice, but to do that they'd have to actually throw out the want to look nice and start coming up with ways to measure up to their menu prices with the actual taste.
google avatar

Savio T.

Yelp
Pasta freshly made very tasty. Service was very slow. I think they were short of staff. The Lasagna was very salty.
google avatar

Lucia P.

Yelp
I ordered take out. The spinach ravioli, and tiramisu. The staff was nice on the phone and while picking up the order. This restaurant has great reviews so I was looking forward to trying it. I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The ravioli didn't really have a lot of flavor and felt quite dry. The tiramisu on the other hand was pretty good. But, it was a disappointing first try for the $17 ravioli. I hope my next meal there lives up to the great reviews.
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
First time I had the pasta with the prosciutto, it was wonderful. Second time I got the pasta with the artichokes, not as wonderful.
google avatar

Martine V.

Yelp
Ordered food delivery. Cold food, tiniest pasta portions ever. Paid $70 including free delivery (through grubhub+). Conparable value is more like $15..
google avatar

Nick G.

Yelp
First of all, the place is overpriced. They charge $20 for a vegetarian pasta. The staff is rude, they make you feel like you owe them something. They serve Bolognese sauce with pork (ta-daaah!!!) and don't bother mention it in their menu. I personally don't eat pork and pasta Bolognese is always a safe choice for me in Italian restaurants because it doesn't contain pork. Other dishes we've ordered were flavorless. The server was rude and arrogant. Instead of apologizing, she started arguing that pork is the usual ingredient in Bolognese sauce and she knows that for sure because she was born in Bologna region. We didn't need that lecture, we needed a polite attitude. This place have combined all the bad stereotypes about Italian dining experience. Our dinner was ruined. Avoid this place of all costs. Prices: * Food: * Service: * Wine selection: **
google avatar

Juliana P.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try this place since I saw them making pasta by the window. The food was good, especially the steak tartare. Then I got a creamy pasta with mushrooms and sausage that was really good. They were understaffed at the time, but the server was very nice and efficient.

Yelp
Consistently delicious . Homemade pastas and specials are the best always fresh . Desserts and wines well priced

Yelp
The best Italian restaurant in Miami! We live in Austin but we're in Miami often for work and we always make it a point to visit Via Emilia 9 at least once. The food and wine are consistently amazing as well as the service. The four cheese gnocchi melts in your mouth and the lasagna bolognese is packed full of meat. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Grazie Via Emilia 9!

Yelp
Extremely AUTHENTIC! I felt like I was in Italy. Might even be too authentic if you aren't truly into Italian food but everything was very fresh. Food: small portions and a bit pricey for the sizes but it was tasty. I chose the chef ravioli with pear and cheese. It was ok. Pasta was a little hard. But my friend chose the signature homemade tortellini stuffed with prosciutto, salami and I think cheese? That was tasty and cooked just right. Dessert was ok, we chose the sampler. I thought I was able to pick my 3 samples but the chef picks for you. As one of the samples, he gave us the fruit tart - it tasted like a blob of jelly on a piece of bread. I did not get to try the tiramisu. Decor/ambiance: very small. But very cozy. Feels like an Italian home. Decorations were cute and the table set up was nice. This place can get LOUD. at first it wasn't bad but as more people came in, filling in this little place, the noise level was through the roof. I was literally screaming at my friend to try to talk. I would come back, but only if someone else wanted to try it out. Don't think I'd be the one to initiate dinner here. Oh, and make reservations!
google avatar

Stephanie F.

Yelp
Service: We have been three times in the last week but tonight we're looking forward to a Valentine's dinner. The waitress Valentina forgot our reservation time, rushed us through dinner and was extremely rude. The restaurant was 80% empty. She didn't give us any other seating options even though the sun was directly on our table in our eyes and would not let us move to another table we wanted that was left vacant for two hours. Waiting for our Uber she asked us to leave the premises in case someone came and would not want to sit at this vacant table - one of 12 vacant tables. Food: tonight the ravioli was filled with chewy lobster and the wine they served was warm. We felt very unwelcome. Will be not be back. Maison Valentine next door on the other hand is wonderful amd the owner is incredibly accommodating and kind. Highly recommend

Yelp
(English) I am writing about the new restaurant that Via Emilia April 9 right in Midtown, Via Emilia Garden. I went to see this place and it is so cool and modern. Enjoy a 200-square-foot restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, with an open kitchen and a retractable roof garden and if you're hungry after dinner, the expanded market is available selling homemade and imported Italian products. As I mentioned, one thing that stood out to me was the wall decoration of this place, with 20 Nike shoes framed on the wall of the popular Italian retailer Slam Jam. As for the food, we had appetizers the Parmigiana di Melanzane which is aubergine parmigiana and Prosciutto di Parma fresh with Gnocco Fritto which was a light and very airy fried bread. For the pasta, we tried Tagliatelle al Ragu, which is one of their specialties, the sauce was a little salty for my taste, but the pasta, in general, was great. Another dish we enjoyed was the Tortellini in Brodo or Alla Panna, we ordered both and the waiter brought smaller portions both ways, in a delicious broth and another in a white creamy sauce. We finished our dinner with the recommended Mascarpone Nutella e Pavesini, which is one of the most decades desserts I've had. The creamy mascarpone is incredibly complemented with cookies and Nutella on top, I mean, what else can you ask for? I highly recommend this place without a doubt!

Yelp
Terrific pasta. I mean, this place is all about the pasta. Sauces are super simple, with that credo in mind. Not bad simple, just that if you are expecting something more American-ized you should go elsewhere. On that same tack, the portions are just too small. The salad portion for $13 was infuriatingly small; the pastas are designed, in my view, as actual Primi - like you would get in Italy. It would be helpful if the servers let you know that, because both of us had terrific pastas but were still not actually full and could have split a Secondi after -- easily! As it was, we decided to get a dessert -- which was, wait for it -- delicious, but small. So this place is not really value-oriented, but it is a terrific little restaurant. Just be prepared to order both a Primi and Secondi.
