I had an amazing experience at Vicino. The food was delicious, especially the carbonara I ordered — it was creamy, full of flavor, and perfectly served. 🍝 I sat outside the restaurant, where the atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed, perfect for enjoying the moment. 🥂 The service was excellent — the staff was very kind and attentive at all times. I also loved the special detail they had for my birthday. 🎉🎂 I’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Vicino, for making my special day even more special! 💛

Went for our 5th anniversary, but wouldn't recommend for an anniversary to others. Great mocktail (All Panic! No Disco). We started with the Meatball Bolognese. I liked the polenta, but I would get a different appetizer. My husband got the Funghi Pizza and absolutely loved it! I got the carbonara without the peas. I really liked the choice of bucatini. The lemon sorbetto was delicious and tart. I would come back just for it💛The tiramisu with the coffee pearls was a really fun take and yummy. It was a reserved anniversary date, but there was no recognition until we asked. Dessert did not live up to the beautiful photos with writing we'd seen. Unfortunately we were placed right next to a party of 8 even though we had a reservation and there were other tables open. We felt we couldn't talk privately. However, our server was so friendly and anticipated any time we needed anything. I blame the hostess for fumbling our reservation.

Google
We've been here 2x and it's always a solid experience. Best calamari we've ever had. The breakfast pizza is also worth getting at brunch. The espresso martini is so good.

Google
Walked into the restaurant and was immediately greeted and sat by the host. Selected a high top at the bar and had amazing service from Haley!!! Told her what liquors I liked and she helped me navigate through the signature cocktails. Both of the cocktails she recommended were amazing!!! I got the oysters for an appetizer and the Wood oven chicken for my main plate. Both of these dishes came out fast and tasted incredible. While eating my meal the owner and Haley came by the table to make sure everything tasted great. Overall one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. The restaurant itself had perfect scenography and was a great atmosphere to be in. Highly recommend trying this place if you have not!!!

Had a fantastic experience at Vicino! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. A big shoutout to our server, Patrick, who went above and beyond to make our evening special. He was friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Google
Vicino is a fantastic spot in downtown Indy! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The service was outstanding; the staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy yet stylish, making it a great place for a relaxing meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an amazing dining experience. Will definitely be coming back!

Google
What an amazing lunch at Vicino. I’m sure the dinner time could be even better! We reserved for a group of 13 and we were blown away by how attentive the staff was. The service was amazing. We were celebrating two graduates of medical school and this meal was icing on the cake. Our group hailed from three different countries and all shared that the cuisine was superb. We definitely would recommend this spot!

Google
We enjoyed this place. Good food, priced accordingly with generous portions, mid-high budget. We went during lunch and I thought the menu was sort of small and basic. Also, this must be the first Italian restaurant I visit where the starter bread was not included. We ordered and paid for their focaccia that also came with a side of olives, and it was good. Our waitress was amazing and wait for food was acceptable. I would visit again and recommend but would suggest including more items in the main course of the lunch menu.

Yelp
After perusing the Devour Indy options a friend and I met here for lunch. Parking on Mass Ave was fine and we were both able to find a spot within a block of the restaurant. I had made a reservation but for lunch it wasn't too busy so you could probably just walk in! It is a beautifully decorated and airy spot yet with a feel of Europe. We loved the various color palettes and table options. We sat at a smaller rounded booth that felt rather luxurious. The waitress was amazing and helped us think through options, but we both decided on the Devour menu. So many great choices and such a value able option! My first course was arancini followed by gnocchi and a pear pastry. The flavors were bright and perfectly balanced and every time we got a dish we stopped talking to exclaim over the food. It was actually a mind blowing meal! My favorite was the gnocchi as it had some richness to it yet also not heavy. It was soft and pillowy with a delicate pesto sauce that coated but wasn't greasy. Just writing this is making me hungry! We loved this restaurant and I've already told several others to try it. The Devour menu was amazing and a great way to try a new spot and a tasting menu. Definitely go as soon as possible!

Yelp
Positive: I really enjoyed the drinks here, they have a great location on mass ave, the staff is really friendly, the ambiance is really nice with the plants hanging from the ceiling, dim lighting, etc. Improvement: I would say the food needs some improvement. I got the oysters and why do they have so much salt. Firstly, since the light was dim I thought it was bread crumbs so I got a big spoonful and put it in my mouth. That was disgusting, no dish needs that amount of salt. The waiter was so friendly and recommended the chicken Marsala, like 6 of us got it and we all thought it was just okay. Other people thought there plates were just okay too. I would love to see this place succeed, but I think the dishes need improvement especially with so many competing restaurants around.

Yelp
The seasonal mocktail was quite tasty. My server described it as warm spices, and on this warm October evening I wasn't sure if that was the thing to get but I enjoyed it. I'd described it as apple cider meets pumpkin spice, with visual elements of Christmas. The arancini was just ok. I've had ones with very satisfying, thick crunchy crisp exteriors. These were more of an oven baked crispness. The chicken marsala was unfortunately a bit underwhelming. The sauce wasn't as marsala forward as I'd like, not sure if it needs more marsala or maybe a little lemon juice to brighten it up. The olive tapenade also darkened the flavor considerably so it just wasn't the profile I was hoping for. The chicken could also use a little more seasoning. Large portion though, I did not need to also get the arancini!

Roger L.

Yelp
Food is inconsistent as is the service. From my latest meal the pizza crust tastes like cardboard and the calamari is a little soggy. Dessert redeems the meal but I suggest avoiding this joint.

Yelp
Vicino offers a fantastic blend of atmosphere, creativity, and flavor that keeps me coming back. (Fun fact: the "c" in Vicino is pronounced like "ch," which I didn't know at first!) The space itself is charming, with huge windows overlooking Mass Ave, giving the interior a bright, open feel. The patio, situated on the corner, has lush greenery that adds a bit of privacy, perfect for a relaxing outdoor experience. Bonus: It's dog-friendly, which makes it even better. Both times I sat at the bar, and each visit was outstanding. Julian, the bartender on my first visit, is truly a master of his craft. With 90% of the cocktails on the menu curated by him, I trusted his ability to mix something unique based on my spirit of choice--and he did not disappoint. He seems to love experimenting, and his passion shows in every sip. On my second visit, Devin was behind the bar and proved just as talented, accommodating my desire to switch things up again with different spirits. I also had the pleasure of trying the food on my first visit, and it was absolutely delicious, pairing perfectly with the drinks. Overall, Vicino delivers a stellar experience across the board, with the only small downside being the lack of a trash can by the bathroom door for those who prefer to use a paper towel to exit. But that's a minor detail in what is otherwise a great spot.

Yelp
We were walking down Mass Ave trying to figure out where to eat. We saw Vicino had a nice outdoor seating area and it was a beautiful day so we stopped in. It took about 5 minutes to get us a table outside. While we waited, I looked around and there was plenty of inside seats. Once seated our server took our order. The service was ok, she not very friendly but nevertheless got us everything we needed. We had mixed reviews of our food. The Wood Oven Chicken was well portioned, I was told it tasted great. The Pesto Chicken was underwhelming, the gnocchi takes over the dish and there wasn't enough pesto. The Seared Scallops tasted great along with the polenta however I felt it could have been better portioned considering the price point. The Pizza (not sure which one was ordered and forgot to take a picture) was small, thin, and I thought it was also pricey for what you got. The drinks were pretty and all tasted great. Overall my experience was ok and nothing really stood out.

Yelp
We got a reservation for a dinner for our group of five, and had a lovely meal at Vicino! I really liked the bright, luxe-feeling decor and upbeat atmosphere. They have a very good wine and cocktail menu, and even a wonderful mocktail. We started with a couple orders of the Bread & Herb Oil, and I definitely recommend this to my fellow focaccia-lovers out there. The mixed olives on the side of the plate were a great snack too, and I happily ate more than my fair share of them. For entrees, we got the Tagliatelle Bolognese, the Chicken Marsala, the Pesto Chicken, the Shrimp Pasta, and the Osso Buco. I got the Shrimp Pasta, and it was excellent; I'm a sucker for a lemony white wine sauce and it had wonderful flavor. The shrimp themselves were delicious, well-seasoned and well-cooked. I would have liked a bit more of the sauce, since the noodles were a touch on the dry side, but it was a very minor thing. I also got to try the Osso Buco, which was incredibly tender and tasted great. The lone blemish on the meal was the chocolate cake I got for dessert. Other folks enjoyed the Tiramisu and Lemon Bars, so I think my cake was an outlier, but the cake was very hard -- I could barely get a fork through it -- and tasted odd, as though something in it had spoiled. Like I said, my friends' desserts were all good, so mine does appear to have been the exception rather than the norm, but it was a bummer to end on that note. Bottom line: Five stars for ambience, entree, and mocktail -- but a deduction for a super disappointing dessert.

Yelp
If you have time to have lunch downtown this week I highly recommend the Devour Indy menu at Vicino Indy. Located on Mass Ave at corner of Alabama. $25 pp gets you 3 courses of exceptional quality. I had the caprese, burger and limoncello bar. My hubby had zuppa toscano, cacio e pepe, and the doughnuts. Large portions, fresh pasta, creamy sauce, this meal was a dream! Also Rico was an amazing server! Note: Will be happy to go back outside of Devour as many items on the menu looked delicious!

Lauren P.

Yelp
Stopped in for happy hour and stayed for an amazing meal! I love a place that offers a happy hour menu that's actually worth visiting. Cocktails are $5 off and glasses of wine were $2-$3 off. We ordered the spuntino as part of our happy hour and it was a lot of food! We had 3 people and still had some leftovers on it. The carbonara was amazing! Everything came out so hot and fresh. The carbonara had great flavor and the pancetta was nice and crispy. The only thing I didn't like was the pepper in the pasta because some pieces were kinda large and you really had to chew the pepper which was very strong! Overall, I really enjoyed this place. I hope it continues to do well!

Yelp
Was in town for a work convention and we were all craving some Italian. Looked at a few places and stumbled upon Vicino, perused the photos and knew this was the one! And wow!! Exceeded all of our expectations! For appetizers we got the focaccia and herb oil, calamari and bbq oysters. All so so delicious! The herbed oil was the star, as we asked for another side to drizzle onto everything! For our salad, we got the Caprese and this was one of my favorites! The two types of pesto sauce were immaculate and added the perfect layer of flavor. I shared the mushroom pizza and carbonara with a coworker - both so good, fresh and flavorful as well. My boss got the lamb shank and couldn't stop raving about it. He said it was in his top 3 meals he's ever had in his life! We were absolutely stuffed at this point and couldn't do any dessert, but these looked good as well. Our server was incredible and the owner even stopped by to say hi. Overall, Vicino was amazing and we'll be sure to put this on our list again for the next time we're in Indy. PS - the artwork, interior design (lighting and chairs) were my absolute fave and I greatly appreciated the attention to detail!! Keep it up, Vicino!

Yelp
I've visited Vicino a few times and I've always had a pleasant experience. Each time, the staff has been exceptional! I love the decor and the cute little photo opps that are around. The food is good. I always request salt and pepper because it can be a bit lacking in flavor, but it's usually an easy fix. My favorite is the calamari and the fungi pizza.

Latonya H.

Yelp
So I had a craving for calamari and saw this place close to my office. I ordered online, so not much interaction with the staff other than picking up my food. The online system toast said my food would take 30 minutes but I know calamari doesn't take that long to prepare so I went sooner and my gut was right so I do wish I would have received a notification once the food was actually ready but the food was fresh and tender, the 2 sauces paired well with the seafood, I will return for dinner soon to enjoy the full experience they offer, I'm intrigued!

Kristen R.

Yelp
This is a trendy restaurant and definitely falls into trend over quality. The serving sizes are teeny tiny, the flavors are super bland and the prices are very high, but they are really pretty inside! Our server was great and made sure we had everything we needed, including something for our daughter's bday, but for the money we paid, we should have just gone directly to Italy!

Olivia S.

Yelp
As an out of town visitor, I sought advice on Yelp on where to eat in the downtown Indy area. We settled on Vicino, but I wish we hadn't! This restaurant definitely has a nice atmosphere -- very hip, with unique furniture/artwork and background music. However, we visited Vicino on a Sunday night and it was the not the hotspot I expected it to be...patio empty, inside maybe 25% full. Before I discuss the food, I should add that the service was not great. I won't include her name, but our waitress was not very friendly...tending to our table almost seemed like a chore for her...we thought it was quite awkward and some of the strangest service we've had. Our waters were never refilled, and the water we initially got was not cold or chilled at all. We planned on starting with some bread, but not for $10!!! I don't care how special the herbs or oils you provide are...$10 for bread is nuts in my opinion. Even the fanciest of steakhouses give complimentary bread! Anyways, since we refused to splurge on bread, we opted for the Caesar salad to start. To me, a salad is a salad, but this one...which I truly wanted to love...tasted like the Caesar salad from Panera. I was genuinely confused. The lettuce did not taste fresh AT ALL and they don't toss it in the dressing for you. They splatter it on the side of the plate. Now to entrees--I ordered the "classic spaghetti" and there was nothing classic about it! I like my marinara sauce with a bit of a kick to it but this was incredibly spicy, minimal sauce, and lots of thick cheese on top. After the salad flopped, I figured spaghetti would be a safe choice (hard to mess up spaghetti) but I couldn't even eat half of it. My boyfriend ordered the carbonara which he said had too much truffle oil and was nothing to write home about. We're not in the mood for desserts or another round of drinks after our experience at Vicino. Based on other reviews, maybe we ordered wrong, but a good restaurant is one that has perfected their menu and service...Vicino has not done that.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at Vicino last week before a show at the Murat. The food was delicious and there was a terrific variety - something for everyone. Cocktails were yummy and very fun (although pricey). We especially loved the atmosphere on the patio.

Ro W.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. GREAT COCKTAILS. The bathroom was clean. I left stuffed and happy. The restaurant was cute and vibey. They also offer outdoor seating.

Malika T.

Yelp
Food, ambiance, and service was amazing! I found this place through TimeLeft. The server we had, Patrick was so sweet and took multiple pictures of us per request.

Saba K.

Yelp
Had a great time. Came for brunch and got the chicken sandwich, Italian beef, and margherita pizza. The Italian beef was so seasoned and tender! Our waiter was in a good mood and thus gave us great service! He was polite and gave great recs. The espresso martinis are sweet and so was the waiter. love the decor inside. Will be back.

Lauren G.

Yelp
I walked by this place every day on my way to the office and had NO idea how great it would be! I attended with coworkers and clients for dinner and we ordered every appetizer on the menu. The atmosphere was like being transported to the Mediterranean and the menu was well curated. Our server was friendly and shared that she is working on her Social Work degree at an Indianapolis university. Will be returning soon with my family!

Sharon J.

Yelp
Came here with my friends for devour Indy and loved our meal. The lasagna was divine and the tiramisu hit the spot. Excited to venture onto other items on the menu next time

Jessica L.

Yelp
Great wine and an amazing charcuterie board! We sat at the bar and Devin made sure we had everything we needed when we needed it! Since it was middle of the day on a Friday, it wasn't overly crowded nor busy so it was a great first experience!

Megan F.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience here and randomly stopped in for date night when we found ourselves near Mass Ave. The restaurant feels very upscale and I love how it looks. They have a nice outdoor patio too for warmer weather. We started with the arancini, and they were absolutely delicious, and I really loved the sauce they were plated in. I decided to try a pizza and went for the Tuscano pizza which had a lemon arugula, artichokes and prosciutto. This pizza was delicious, it was so fresh and the flavor combinations worked so well. I hadn't had anything like this before. Our waitress was great, and helped give us with menu suggestions.

Maureen B.

Yelp
It was my friends birthday yesterday and so we had a whole day of activities planned which ended with dinner at Vicino. When choosing a restaurant we wanted somewhere nice and hopefully a place he hadn't been. Because it was a surprise we didn't know he had been to the restaurant soon after they opened. The restaurant decor is beautiful. One side is more casual with bighter lights and higher tables and the other side is more formal with lower lighting and an almost romantic ambiance. We were seated at our table immediately after arriving and our server briefly told us the restaurant approach to Italian food. After perusing the menu, we ordered. I got the Funghi pizza, my friend got the carbonate and added chicken and the birthday boy settled on the Caesar salad. He asked our server the size of the salad and she indicated it would be a decent portion. However, when our meals were brought to the table, the salad was more the size of a side salad on an entree plate and it was soggy and wilted. He asked the server for a fresh salad which was handled quickly. We both noticed that our server's demeanor changed from the moment he asked for a fresh salad and it was almost like she had an attitude. At one point, she came back to the table and cleared away our side plates and unused utensils. She also cleared away my friends plate since he was done with his salad. Since he hadn't touched the cheese crisp, she didn't ask him if he was done first before removing the plate. When we got our bill, our other friend realized that the chicken she added to her carbonara was a $7 upcharge. When the server asked if she wanted chicken with her carbonara, she should have mentioned how much the upcharge was. Most places will tell you how much an additional charge to expect and I also understand she could have asked. My friend was also not happy with the size of the salad since he had eaten there before and got the same thing and it was much larger/filling. I usually give a restaurant two chances when I have a less than stellar experience but this one that I doubt I'd visit again for awhile.

Konah W.

Yelp
Vicino is a great addition to Mass Ave. with a wonderful patio. The food is a bit on the pricier side, but worth the money for a special night out. We started with the bread and herb oil. The fish was flavorful, as was the spaghetti and meatballs. Try one of their mock tails, you won't be disappointed!

Sigrid W.

Yelp
The old Hedge Row location revamped and they did a beautiful job. The entire restaurant has a light and airy welcoming feeling. We visited a few days after they opened and the service was great, the menu full of delicious choices. The only problem was that seemingly all our dishes were very salt heavy and I mean just plain too salty. We did let the manager know. We revisited this time for brunch and everything was wonderful (no overpowering salt). Loved the variety of options. Innovative as well as traditional brunch items are available here. Just as alwasy, parking along Mass Ave can be an issue.

Pavel P.

Yelp
A very nice bar to get food and drinks. I only had a couple of drinks here and would definitely recommend this place for dinner or just a quick break to have a beverage.

Shreya C.

Yelp
Cute little place in Indianapolis. I stopped here before my flight back home for a quick drink and appetizers. I got the flower power cocktail and it was pretty refreshing with a kick of ginger. Beautiful looking too! For appetizer I got the Arancini and it was okay...nothing spectacular. I felt like the outer shell was a bit too fried (if there is such a thing) but on the whole, decent. I then got the Raddichhio and Pear salad and apparently that's new on the menu. Very fresh! The service was very good and the cute bartender was soo accommodating of all my questions. Extra points for him! A great spot to try.

Hugh M.

Yelp
Went here tonight for dinner with my son and his girlfriend. Nice restaurant, nice atmosphere and good food. Our waitress was very good and really attentive. They have a nice selection of appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, pizza and other main courses to select from. This place appeared to be pretty busy but the food came out quickly. I walked by the kitchen and everything that I saw was being made from scratch. We started with their bread & oil appetizer that is also served with an assortment of olives. The bread was really good - just wish there would have been a couple of more slices served. My son ordered the Carbonara Dish which he said was really good. His girlfriend had the Chicken Pesto Dish and asked to swap out the gnocchi for spaghetti pasta. The restaurant changed the pasta without an issue. I had their Caesar Salad and Pizza Picante. Great taste and serving sizes. The pizza was well made. When I come back to visit Indy again, I will make this a place to revisit!!

Brady R.

Yelp
Came here for dessert on a Sunday evening. Quickly seated and greeted. I ordered the limoncello berry bar and also tried the tiramisu. The tiramisu was tasty. The bar was not good at all. The bar had so much gelatin in it that you could make it bounce. It was almost as if it was frozen and didn't thaw properly It was also worth noting that two desserts and a coffee was almost the same price as dinner at another nicer restaurant along Mass Ave. Probably won't be coming back.

Shaun L.

Yelp
I'm honestly, extremely surprised. After eating this at this incredibly delicious, high level Italian cuisine, I assumed id be sitting next to Robert Dinero, Joe Pesci, or even Henry Hill. Walking in, the ambiance is absolutely perfect. Greeted by welcoming, attentive faces. I Kicked this adventure off with a delightfully made espresso martini. A little something to make me Forget about a long work day. The bartender is basically a cocktail scientist. Buddy don't miss. We had some bread and oil. Was perfect. Had some calamari, fried perfectly. Some folks at the table had the lasagna. Which I hear is "to die for." ( Say this as a wife from Goodfellas, as you cover your chest with your hand.) I Had the Pork chop. WOW. I think this pork came from some royal lineage, from a secret village in the Miyazaki region of Japan. I felt like going back to the kitchen to volunteer to work under this chef for free until he feels I'm worthy enough to get paid for the 60 hour work week. Seriously, this place is as legit as it comes. Do yourself a huge favor, and go enjoy a night out with a person who deserves it!

Lauren S.

Yelp
This place was good! I really liked my sandwich. the chicken was not dry at all, the quality of the bread roll was good, and the balsamic glaze was the cherry on top. It wasn't life changing but a solid place to try for lunch.

Maria F.

Yelp
Gathered here with family after an event and it was surprisingly not busy. We were seated so quickly and our food was fantastic! The salmon pizza (I know what you're thinking.. salmon?) was incredibly delicious and the flavors hit the spot. Also, the Caesar salad was fresh, which would complement anything or as a standalone. Lastly, the desserts (especially the mini donuts & limoncello bar) were delicately made. We left super satisfied and looking forward to another visit!

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Vicino is right in the heart of Mass Ave - usually packed, but open and airy with a lot of seats. Their cocktails are amazing and their Italian menu is pretty unique. Heavily recommend making a reservation online. The menu reads like small plate dining but everything we got was more than filling. The cocktails are teeny tiny but very high quality liquor and creativity. Italian food isn't necessarily the most difficult cuisine, but it feels like they made it unnecessarily hard. The oven-roasted oysters were amazing but the bruschetta was begging for more tomatoes. The spaghetti was almost overly spicy with big thick meatballs. The lamb ragu was slow roasted and full of savory flavors! I loved the vibe. Food was 4/5 stars. Definitely a cool place for a night on the town though!

Eric B.

Yelp
Vicino was an outstanding dining experience for our large group of 20 people! I made a reservation in advance, so there were no surprises, and Vicino did not disappoint on acknowledging our arrival and being prepared with the seating area arranged for all of us. The food was incredible! The menu vast and the service outstanding. Be sure to visit Vicino!

Sara B.

Yelp
Beautiful interior. Friendly service. (Especially friendly considering I had a toddler at the table.) Fairly quick as well. The food and wine were amazing. I loved everything we ate! (& I didn't take a single picture, it was that good!) Arancini- amazing, definitely order these Crostini bruschetta- also incredible I had the pesce for the entree and loved every bite. The egg plant was perfectly prepared. I would've loved a small bed of noodles with the meal- it was the only thing missing for me! The toddler had buttered noodles (not on the menu) and loved them. Pretty generous portion for him. Dessert- lemon bars- omg delicious. Real lemon and lemon zest made it taste he perfect way to finish a heavy meal. My friends had tiramisu, and also loved it.

Rachel K.

Yelp
Service was great, vibes were aesthetic, and food was amazing! We had bruschetta, caprese salad, lasagna, and Margherita pizza. Would order all of it again! The star of the show was absolutely the espresso martinis! Favorite ones in Indy so far! And I got a complimentary birthday cannoli

Michelle H.

Yelp
The service was great. They were super busy and they still managed to find a table for my boyfriend and I as walk-in. The ambiance was romantic, casual, and a hint of class. The food was delicious. I got the shrimp pasta and my boyfriend got the bolognese. I was full about 3/4 of the way but it was so good I had to finish my pasta. And of course I had to get the tiramisu! But I saw the limoncello on the menu, so I suggested my boyfriend get it so we can try both. With our deserts we also got some espresso Romano; it was a great pairing with the limoncello. Thanks for an awesome dinner, Vicino!

Aaron P.

Yelp
Stopped by this newer restaurant on Mass Ave. Was glad to see a quality restaurant take over this great space. The Arancini was a great appetizer, with crispy thin breading and melty risotto center. I thought it was perfectly seasoned. The Osso Bucco was the best I've had in a long while and would definitely order again!

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Vicino has become part of our usual rotation. They have a nice variety of Italian dishes. I really love the watermelon salad, and if you're not starving, it could absolutely be a full entree. The tomato soup is a cool weather favorite. The chicken entree is huge- only order it if you are realllly hungry. Love the zabaglione as a finisher--and so few places offer it! Outdoor seating is nice when the weather isn't scorching- and it's a great brunch spot that doesn't seem like it's on most people's radar.

Bhumi P.

Yelp
Loved the vibes and service was impeccable! We came in a large-ish group on a Friday night, but did have a reservation ahead of time! May not be entirely necessary though, as it didn't get truly busy until 8pm. I had the scallops, which were great but I do wish there was just one more! We also got each of the desserts: limoncello bars were not super sweet, but were tart, very enjoyable if you don't love sweet desserts tiramisu was wonderful, no qualms cannolis were also great, crunchy and flavorful donuts (bombolini) were good, but they were dense! more of a sharing dessert for sure Zabaglione was fine; not sure what I was expecting but I would bot get it again

Robyn W.

Yelp
Flavor and presentation of everything was great. Our service was good, brought our food and gave recommendations when asked! The cocktails were just beautiful both visually and in flavor - a great welcome to our experience! We didn't want to eat too much so we only got the bread plate as our appetizer/small plate. A great surprise on this one was the olives! The foccacia and oil were good as expected, but the olives were a tasty bonus! I had the Osso Bucco for my meal and it was fall off the bone tender, and so so tasty. It is my new favorite Osso Bucco and I seek it out at Italian spots. I can't wait to return and try a pasta dish. My companion ordered one and it looked DELISH! And, Maybe I'll be able to save room for dessert.

Yelp
Very nice interior and location is right in the middle of mass Ave, which is great. The staff was also very accommodating as we didn't like our initial table location and they quickly moved us to a different table. Appetizers: the arancini was very good and the oysters tasted pretty fresh. Caesar salad was also solid Pasta: spaghetti Classico was ehh but the pesto chicken gnocchi was my favorite. Also enjoyed the carbonara topped with egg yolk. Scallops were also great in flavor and cook except one was slightly burnt. Dessert was really the only low point and I honestly probably just chose wrong and might be hyper critical as a baker myself. All that being said, the cake pops were rather dry and the table couldn't even finish them.

Yelp
Vicino is a beautiful new Italian restaurant on Mass Ave. they have a great location and the decor of the restaurant is amazing. The space is gorgeous. You can sit at the bar or near the wood fire oven. We sat at a table near the back of the restaurant. We started with two drinks my husband a traditional old fashioned and I went with the Italian soda. The drinks were alright nothing spectacular and I don't think I'd order the Italian soda again it has cinnamon in it which is very overpowering. We also started with the garlic butter shrimp. The shrimp were huge. The presentation was great. I am leery when it comes to shrimp I noticed they did not clean the digestive tract from the shrimp. I was turned off by this. A restaurant at this caliber you'd expect better. I let our server know and she had it replaced. The shrimp was pretty good. It has a sweeter flavor I expected it to be savory but not bad. I decided to order the carbonara and my husband went with the spicy pizza. His pizza was delicious I definitely had order envy. I was not a fan of the carbonara. It lacked flavor and I didn't enjoy the consistency of the pasta. Our server asked if we wanted to order another drink. I ordered a dirty martini. My drink was served with a bug. At this point I was ready to go. At no point did a manager come to our table to acknowledge the unfortunate situation with the shrimp or the bug. For 130 dollar dinner I was seriously let down and will not ever come here again.

Yelp
The ambiance is really nice. We went for a late lunch and it was pretty quiet. Service was attentive and made suggestions for the table. I loved the variety of foods. Everyone really liked the dishes that they got.

Yelp
We visited with a very very large group, and they were so accommodating! We mostly had kids, and they were hungry! The food came right out, and I tried 3 items; margherita pizza, spaghetti classico and the Italian grilled cheese and all were delicious. The meatballs were a bit spicy but omg were they SOOO good. I ate the meatballs while my 6-year-old at the spaghetti and love it. The grilled cheese was also very good and great portion size and only $12. Highly recommend the Call Me Pretty drink delicious and pretty :) Even though they allowed us to host our luncheon for our kid's cross-country team you can tell this would be a great dinner date place.

Yelp
Beautiful place. Friendly servers. Had the roasted oysters for an appetizer which we really enjoyed. I had the Lamb Ragh and my girlfriend had the Lasagna, both of which were delicious. The Italian old fashions were great. Wish we could've stayed for dessert if only we weren't late for some other plans.

Yelp
I'm still dreaming of the pan-seared gnocchi; ditto for my wife and her bolognese. The ambiance was low-key upscale, the service was speedy and attentive, but the food was definitely the star. What a great spot for Italian in Mass Ave's crowded food scene!

Yelp
Overall good experience. I went here for Mother's Day and it wasn't busy. I had a reservation, but for some reason when I arrived the hostess seemed confused and what appeared to be the manager had to help her. After some awkward pauses he showed us to our table. He then offered a different table, which we accepted, but it still needed to be cleaned. Once seated, I began checking out the menu, which to my surprise was a bit limited. Entrees are only pastas and pizza. There are a few apps and then salads. Though the selections are not abundant, the food we ordered was all very tasty and we enjoyed all the items. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a lovely bar and nice design and decor.

Yelp
I know this is a new restaurant, so I am more than happy to come back in a few months and try again. That being said, everything was just okay. The service was a little strange with the hosts being suuuuuper friendly and conversational, but our server was not. It was "hello what can I get you?" Didn't feel very warm or friendly. She had a lot of tables, so we didn't really feel like a priority. The place itself though is beautiful! The space is decorated to perfection and the furniture is great! I will say that the tables were organized in a criss cross pattern, so you were sitting literally right next to someone at another table. Very odd that you could hear everyone conversation. The food was okay. My husband got the pesto chicken which was actually delicious! I got the carbonara and I ended up switching with my husband because the pasta was cooked to a weird texture with not a ton of flavor. Overall nothing to write home about, but it be willing to come back in a few months!
