A great follower of the legacy of Lisbon tascas, this place is simple and straight to the point. Their permanent menu classics are already worth a visit (the bitoque, the açorda, the arroz de polvo, all stand out!) and you can 'collect' their daily specials by going on different week days (for lunch, to be safe on them not being sold out). The prices are accessible and fair, and service is always on it, fine with English and super helpful. Not an accident that it's been shortlisted or winning on several awards.

We came without a reservation and were seated comfortably outside (as we were with a dog). The food was amazing - good olives and bread for couvert, a simple but very tasty soup of the day for €2.50, perfectly grilled fish, and the bitoque was absolutely excellent. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was the chocolate mousse, but that’s more a matter of personal taste (I’m a big chocolate mousse fan and try it everywhere I go). All in all, it’s a great new-wave tasca with solid food that stays true to tradition and friendly service.

We really enjoyed our lunch here — the croquettes, swordfish, and bitoque were all delicious. Friendly service and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back again!

Wow, what an amazing spot. It seemed a bit off the beaten path but it was so worth the Uber ride from the touristic area. The food was amazing, the service was amazing. I had one of the dishes of the day, merguez sausage and roasted potatoes with garlic and onion. My wife had the whole Robalo (sea bass). They were both incredible. They make their own piri piri sauce that was very good, and our server gave us the recipe! So nice! The menu is in Portuguese but they speak great English. Highly recommended.

In Alvalade, in a small dead end road between Av de Roma and Av de EAU, this family Tasca offers a traditional menu and a good focused wine card at fair prices in an informal ambiance with an open kitchen and informal service. We were a small group that had the couvert with delicious Galician olives and a tasty cheese, for mains a great Açores de garoupa and a very fresh braised tuna steak with vegetables, and for dessert a deliciously creamy baba, all with a good bottle of red Dão, waters and coffee for €28/pax which is a steal in this neighbourhood.

Really good! If you like old school tascas but also a bit of a hip vibe, this is your place. Lively, good atmosphere, friendly, and very traditional (and very well done) dishes. Totally recommend.

Local Lisbon restaurant. Simple and effective. Small menu but high quality food. The steaks were really nice and its very affordable considering we are the the centre of the city

My husband and I had an amazing, late lunch. The owner and team were so welcoming. Our lunch was delicious and the house vinho verde was amazing. I highly recommend and we’ll likely be back to wrap up our trip!
