I recently had the opportunity to dine at VIDRIO, and it was an impressive experience. Upon entering through the large, beautiful wooden doors, guests are welcomed into two distinct areas—an energetic main dining room and a quieter, more intimate bar section. The ambiance strikes a nice balance, offering options for both lively gatherings and more relaxed meals.
To start, I ordered the Moroccan Beef Skewers served with harissa yogurt and sumac. Coming from a family with Lebanese influences through my fiancé, I’ve enjoyed excellent skewers in the past, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, these exceeded my expectations—the beef was flavorful, and the harissa yogurt with sumac was exceptional. I highly recommend this dish.
For my entrée, I selected the Mixed Grill, which included hanger steak, roasted chicken, grilled shrimp, baby peppers, and an olive oil potato purée. Each protein was cooked well and paired with its own accompanying sauce, enhancing the flavors beautifully. All of the meats were juicy and thoughtfully prepared.
Service was professional, though the waiter/bartender seemed quite busy with bar prep and stocking. While they only checked in twice, they remained polite and attentive when present.
Overall, VIDRIO is a great choice for flavorful Mediterranean-inspired cuisine paired with a stylish atmosphere. I would gladly return and recommend it to anyone visiting Raleigh.
