"A major Spanish wine distributor, Vila Viniteca opened in 1932 and is now a third generation family-run business. For a really good selection of both local and international wines, head to their shop on Agullers. And, FYI, if you're looking to pick up food as well, Vila Viniteca's gourmet grocery store, which stocks small bites, cheeses, and cooked meats, is conveniently located next door. (Also to note: Vilia Vinetca has another, smaller wine outpost in the shopping mall, L'illa Diagonal.)"

14 Best Wine Bars in Barcelona | Condé Nast Traveler

"Vila Viniteca is split in two. First, there's one of the most cavernous wine shops you'll ever see, with 8,000 bottles spread among shelves, display chests, boxes, and a mezzanine. Next door, there's a delicatessen that borders on decadent, whose beautifully hung hams, elegantly displayed cheeses, and artisan canned goods will have you remortgaging your house. There’s also a small bar area with a trio of tables and a sommelier eager to tempt you into trying a bottle." - Gemma Askham

Google
A must-visit in Barcelona for top-quality products at honest prices. Incredible cheese, wine, chorizo, lomo, and jamón — all served with real passion. A truly wonderful experience!

Awesome wine shop with very large collection. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I left with two nice bottles of wine to take home, nicely and conveniently wrapped for the travel.

This place is an absolute gem. The absolute perfect laid back atmosphere and the kindest servers. We asked Ana for her recommendations and she delivered meat, cheese and wine pairings beyond my expectations. She even brought out a very interesting “first press” wine which has 0% alcohol for my spouse who is allergic to alcohol. If you find yourself here consider yourself lucky!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vila Viniteca, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The wine selection is unparalleled, boasting a top collection that caters to every palate and preference. After choosing a superb wine, I indulged in their selection of preserved foods, and I was blown away by the quality and taste. Each bite was a divine experience, with flavors that danced on my palate and left me craving more. Additionally, I was incredibly impressed with the level of assistance I received in selecting the perfect wine. The staff at Vila Viniteca are highly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, and their expert recommendations truly enhanced my dining experience. Their guidance ensured that I found the ideal wine to complement the exquisite flavors of the preserved foods. Overall, the impeccable service, coupled with the exceptional wine and divine preserved foods, make Vila Viniteca a five-star destination for any food and wine enthusiast.

Unbelievable wine selection in the store. We also had lunch twice in the other building and it was amazing. Anna helped us both times and she was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend!

Vila Viniteca is pure heaven for anyone who loves good food and wine. The cheese selection is out of this world—creamy, crumbly, funky, and everything in between. Add a bottle from their incredible wine collection, and you’ve got yourself the perfect pairing. And don’t even get me started on the delicatessen—it’s packed with goodies like Iberian ham, truffle treats, and other irresistible bites. It’s the kind of place where you pop in for a snack and end up leaving with a bag full of gourmet treasures. A must-visit for anyone who loves to eat and drink well.

Yelp
We enjoyed tapas in the downstairs "cave" paired with wine from their AMAZING wine shop next door (I stopped in the wine store first to pick the wine. The selection is incredible). Food service was slow but we had plenty of time (drank two bottles of great Spanish wine). Great place to get meats, cheeses, bread, etc. if you want to have a picnic or something to snack on in your hotel.

Yelp
Bar Brutal recommend coming here. My American interpretation of Vila Viniteca; a true version of a 'High End' gourmet New York deli grocer with a 'Smithsonian' sized Wine Shop. The wine shop looks like a library & indeed it is. You name it, it's probably there & with the most helpful staff. The food & kitchen shop is boutique in style. You can eat tapas made with ingredients available for purchasing. Service was extremely warm, friendly & helpful. If you want to bring home eclectic Spanish ingredients or wines before heading back to the boat or to take back to your room, stop here. It's a must.

Yelp
Great service and very good selection of wines from all over the world. The staff is very knowledgeable and had some great recommendations for champagne, cava, French burgundy and new Spanish wines for a party we were hosting.

Yelp
Outstanding selection! As Napa regulars, my partner and I enjoy big, bold cabs, but we are not as familiar with Spanish wines. The staff made some great recommendations for regions and wines that we should experience, so we purchased a few bottles for our stay. We are currently enjoying Priorat and Toro, and the suggested wines are absolute perfection. Thank you for guiding us in the right direction - we look forward to returning one last time, so we can order a last round before our flight. If you're a wine enthusiast, you must stop here!

Yelp
They've a wine shop and a gourmet food section(next to wine store). Wine shop: huge selection, service was personable but not super helpful or enthusiastic in contrast to wine stores we've encountered in Spain and elsewhere. Didn't feel compelled to buy anything. Gourmet food shop: service was ok. Had cheese, Jamon, Olive oil etc. and a small snack bar w/vino. Picked up some cheese and olive oil.

Yelp
I came to this place in October of 2010 in search of wines for my friends. There are several reasons why I came to this place: 1) I don't know much about Spanish wine and needed a gift for my friend's husband who happens to know all sorts of wine since he works in a restaurant 2) I wanted to show my gratitude since they hosted me while I stayed with them 3) I was also visiting her mother that weekend and she hosted me back in 2003 4) Birthday party that weekend From the outside, it looks like a regular wine shop however, once inside, you're overwhelmed by the selections in front of you. I was fortunate enough to find a representative who spoke English and took the time to explain several of the Spanish wines. She asked questions and listened patiently as I'm pretty indecisive. She took the time to explain how the wines are grown and how it fit each palate. I wasn't rushed at all and never gave me the glazed look of boredom. I think I spent about 30 minutes thinking about the 6 bottles she showed me until I made my decision. I ended up purchasing two bottle, both red and unfortunately I'm blanking on the specific names. I do remember the care the woman took to wrap the bottles up in boxes as I was traveling by train and she taped them up to provide enough support so it won't break through. I really appreciated the time she took for me and definitely a fan of this place!

Yelp
I came specifically looking for sherry wines on the recommendation of one of Barcelona's most gourmet restaurants. Vila Viniteca had about ten or so sherries, but only a handful of Amontillado. The service was excellent, but they just didn't have enough selection relative to my expectation. I think the store should still be visited to browse their overall inventory, but not a mega selection of sherry wine. Enjoy!

Yelp
I like this place. A lot. It's a great wine shop and also a deli with all sorts of magic in it. I came here many times and could never leave, not without wanting to buy and eat... everything! Get a few tins of Spanish canned seafood (trust me) especially the anchovies and clams, you can thank me later.

Yelp
Great selection of wine in a variety of price ranges. When asked those working here are very helpful in recommendations. I picked up two bottles for my trip (18 and 30 Euro). Ended up tasting the 18 Euro bottle later at a restaurant after purchasing when a group I was with order a local wine. It was quite good so I'm not disappointed with their first recommendation. The second wine I'll have to wait and try later and come back here to update my review if their advice was good. At this point though I would go back next time I am in town to try some other wines.

Yelp
Great place I really should give it 5 but I never give 5! Huge wine selection including many high end bottles. Friendly staff and real prices. This review is for THE store as I have not Tried the all eats next door yet...

Yelp
There's good, affordable wine in pretty much every supermarket in Barcelona. But if you want something special, whether from the region or from anywhere else in the world (not to mention a price range that is just as varied), this is the place to go. The staff speak multiple languages and could not be any friendlier or helpful. Be sure to try the cava; it's wonderful!

Yelp
Without question the worst customer service I've ever experienced in a retail establishment. Avoid like the plague!

Yelp
Not only a great wine shop with a selection of fine wines from around the world, but also across the street from it is a deli, second to none with an amazing selection of cheeses, cured meats, and regional specialities.
