"Art Basel crowds can make you want to flee to an island. And Key Biscayne is technically an island. Even though getting to this casual wine bar might put you face-to-face with some hideous traffic, at least once you end up at Vinya, you're guaranteed two things: free parking, wine, and great food. The dishes here are much better than your average wine bar charcuterie. There are small plates, salads (including a gorgeous niçoise), and bigger entrees, like lobster thermidor sitting in a delicious gruyère sauce you get to mop up with slices of toasted brioche. And they have a phenomenal liquor store inside, so you can buy enough booze to ensure you don't have to leave the house until everyone's gone back to New York." - ryan pfeffer
"Key Biscayne's Vinya is a casual yet versatile spot with indoor and outdoor seating, a fantastic liquor store you can browse after you eat, and a really big parking lot where you are all but guaranteed to find a spot—for the low, low price of zero dollars. This place works equally well for post-work drinks as it does for a lowkey birthday dinner with a few friends and lots of wine. "Key Biscayne's Vinya is the kind of neighborhood wine bar that'll instantly make you open Zillow to see if there are any available properties within a one-mile radius of this place. The market/wine bar/restaurant is a versatile spot that works equally well for post-work drinks as it does for a lowkey birthday dinner with a few friends and lots of wine. Vinya is a lovely experience whether you're trying to sit at the bar with a glass of wine and bacon-wrapped dates or have a proper sit-down dinner. "Choose a bottle from the extensive selection and stay a while. At this Key Biscayne favorite, there’s a $15 corkage fee, well worth the price for a relaxing get-together among friends. (Note: there is a Coral Gables location as well). The menu features elevated Latin American flair like morcilla spring rolls and octopus a la plancha. Still, regulars can’t say enough about the Vinya burger made with wagyu beef, aged gouda, bacon, fried egg, caramelized onion, and truffle aioli." - Eater Staff
"Lobster Thermidor Fondue We checked out Vinya for the first time this week. The new Key Biscayne spot is a wine bar, restaurant, market, and just generally wonderful place to hang out while consuming delicious things. One of those delicious things we tried (in addition to a few glasses of wine and a couple great cocktails) was the lobster thermidor fondue. These chunks of tender lobster were great. But what puts this dish in the "fondue" category is the cheesy gruyère-based sauce you get to wipe up with triangular slices of toasted brioche.
