Speakeasy craze has Austin in a chokehold as of late and Visitant is not one to be missed! I really want to keep this place a secret but it is just too amazing of a sensory experience not to share. Literally stumbled upon this secret bar during my daily cold brew and bagel run at Progress Coffee + Beer in Cherrywood. (Bonus: Progress is a coffee shop with a full bar and home to food trucks, Pueblo Viejo and Lil’ Nonnas pizza!) Visitant is hidden in plain sight, parked amongst the food trucks on a spacious patio. If you can’t score a reservation….just ring the bell on the stairs and you will be greeted by a lovely host. The moment you walk in you are transported in to another dimension! Once you’re seated, the menu is verbally given and they take your order. The charismatic bartender is not only dreamy but engaging while he quickly gets to work on your cocktail! These are some of the most creative and mind blowing cocktails I have ever had! My description will not do it justice, but you just have to trust me and try the Avocado Margarita…and anything else that catches your attention, because they change the menu constantly. I could go on and on about this place, but I want to leave some of the excitement and mystery for you to experience for yourself! Shhhhhh….

It was amazing but a bit pricy! I can see why it’s so expensive, you can tell a lot of thought and care went into every aspect of the bar but it was a bit of a shock! Their drinks were very creative and better than most other high end bars I’ve been to in Austin. Everyone was really friendly, the music was great, and the design was super cool. Be forewarned they do charge for water, $2 per person. It is very fancy water but I wasn’t expecting that when I said yes when offered. If I remember correctly our price breakdown was about $25 a drink -> $18 a drink + tax + water + 20% tip so we paid $100 for 2 people to have 2 drinks. I wanted to write a quick review since the only price estimate we could find said $20-$30 per person. In my opinion it’s very much worth the cost, you can tell a lot of the money goes back into running the business. It’s a super cool experience, there’s a very creative personal touch to it that’s hard to find in Austin anymore.

Five out of five recommend! This place was the perfect nightcap for my husband and I the other night. Someone recommended it to us and it was the perfect vibe. The owners were great and attentive and mixed up some really delicious cocktails! We will definitely be back!

Last night I found this “secret” speakeasy called Visitant Social Club located in Cherrywood. At night on the weekends Progress Coffee turns into a bar called Project Disco. In the back courtyard area of Project Disco there is a “super secret cocktail bar.” To enter you must ring the doorbell where you are greeted by the hostess. Anissa the hostess was amazingly friendly, articulate, and cute. You wouldn’t know about it unless you know about it; truly #iykyk. Hip, instagrammable, vibey spot with tasteful touches. Elijah is such a fantastic bartender and Anisa is an amazing hostess! The drinks rotate throughout the season/each month, and are very delicious. We started off with the avocado margaritas, and then tried the espresso martini which was to die for and one of the best I've had. The avocado margarita was totally unexpected and delicious! Never would have thought of that convo. Then we shared a blueberry lemon martini which was phenomenal as well. Will def be back here each month!

Amazing speakeasy! Went with a group of friends and we had a great time. Cocktails are so good!!. The bartender, Gustavo and hostess, Paola were really friendly. Although it was 100 degrees out, it was really cool inside. It was a great experience overall. Definitely recommend!

First true speakeasy experience in the sense it really didn't feel like I was walking into a bar....my Uber driver said "are you sure about this?" Welcomed with open arms by some enthusiastic folks happy to help us have a good time. Sampled all the drinks (in this rotation) and they all hit the spot. Will be back. Will send friends! Get it while you can!
