Our server was so kind and helpful. She was attentive, but not bothersome while we dined and talked. The food was really good. They have a good selection, not too much, so they do what they offer right. Nice atmosphere for friends, family, and a celebration room in the back.

Carmen was our server and she was incredible. We just moved to the area and she gave us so many great recommendations for INDY! Food was great, we’ve been to this place before and the food is always consistent and delicious. Very great, old Italian energy.

Google
If I could give this place an overall 4.5, I would. It is Italian comfort food, but it's not going to knock your socks off. You can tell that everything is made in house with a lot of love and care into each dish. The flavors are rich and very satisfying. The staff was warm and welcoming. This place could elevate their experience and really become remarkable. But, for now, it is a taste of traditional Italian home cooking. Would recommend a visit!

Google
Our food was delicious! We were hungry and started looking in the strips malls and decided on this place. The food was great. Truly. The waitress though was probably one of the least personable people we have come across working as a waitress. Would we go back? Sure.

Google
The meal could not have been better! Our waitress, Carmen, is a spot on professional. She knows the menu and can tell you anything you need to know about the Amazing food served there. The Alfredo was outstanding.

A couple of weeks ago, we were in search of some good local food; a place we had not been to before. Looking at the reviews of Vito's, we felt like we had to give this place a chance. Upon pulling into the parking lot, the experience had all the makings of just what we were looking for; a modest looking place on the outside, and a quaint authentic Italian vibe on the inside. The type of place that you might say the looks can be deceiving. Our experience was fantastic from start to finish. For starters, we were able to make reservations for us and our friends. Upon arriving, we waited maybe 10-15 minutes, but we were there a little early, and it was a Friday night. I got so wrapped in the delicious food that I only thought to get a picture of my desert. We started with the bruschetto (best we've ever had) and minestrone, which was also delicious. The fresh bread was also great! We had the pesto dish (I don't remember the name now, and I had angel hair past dish that featured a cream based red sauce with chicken and Italian sausage. At this point, I was stuffed, so I got some tiramisu to go as I couldn't leave without one of my favorite deserts at a place that was on point all night. On top of all this, the service was excellent; I could barely get my drink half down before it was filled again, and the staff were friendly. All 4 of us were very impressed, and we will be back!

Google
The food was absolutely delicious! The sauce was bursting with flavor and really elevated the meal. Our waitress, Carmen, was fantastic and made our experience truly wonderful!

Yelp
Hands down the best Italian place to eat in Indianapolis. I can't believe we had never tried this restaurant. The server was friendly, and she went over the menu and provided recommendations since it was our first time there. Their bread is so good, and dipping it in the Alfredo just took it to a whole new level. Their salad tasted so fresh and the dressing was great too. My husband love his shrimp pasta and I don't normally order lasagna out but was told it was some of the best lasagna ever made. Now they were not lying! The lasagna was next Level delicious! The cheese on top was quality! The filling was perfection and the noodles were cooked just right was well. All these components made the most perfect and delicious lasagna. If you have not tried this place you are missing out! The prices are reasonable, the food memorable, the staff super friendly. Sounds like the perfect combination to me!

Yelp
This local hang out is well know and for sure you want a reservation if going on a 'normal' hour! We spontaneously chose to try it and had to wait about 30 minutes - but it was well worth it! The menu is a decent size but don't expect everything, so it is more manageable and this all options are good. I was craving pesto so asked for a pasta with pesto, and even though not on the menu they did it! Much appreciated! The ambience is nice and feels a bit more upscale but casual as well. Our server was professional and helpful and prompt. The food was amazing and it was so plentiful we ended but brining almost half home. We will for sure go again and get another option, and make a reservation this time. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been.

Yelp
We ordered the bbq chicken pizza and the white pizza for pick up. The order was ready right on time and was still hot when we got home. It was delicious. Highly recommend and when we are back in town we will definitely be ordering again.

Yelp
they did not ask the legal question for service animals and if they did they did not enforce the law and violating health code of allowing an animal to be seated on their furniture in the lobby when waiting for seating. all services animal need to stay in the floor It's against health code. please educate moving forward.

Yelp
All around great place. Food is great, wait staff is great, the place has been there many years. The Vodka Sauce is to die for.

Yelp
Best Italian food on the south side of Indy and maybe the whole city. I never had a bad meal there. Great for large groups. Service always excellent. Wish I still lived in Greenwood to enjoy this great restaurant. Wm. Gilkison Cave creek, AZ

Yelp
A great Italian restaurant. The lasagna was as good as you would expect. The salad and bread was great. Service was quick and she came back often for refills. The ambiance is very dated , but that what you expe t at a itailian restaurant! Great Place!

Yelp
Vito's is my favorite place to go for Italian on the south side. Each time we have been here it is always very busy, but the service is fast and very accommodating. While you wait, there is also an opportunity to get a drink from the bar, which is very nice. This time that we went, I had the chicken Giovanni without spicy sausage. It was very good and a fair portion size. My fiancé decided to get spaghetti and meatballs with a slight change to get vodka sauce instead. To drink, we had an espresso martini and a Moscato. Overall, the service was great, and the food is always the best. Also, I would say that this is a great place for a romantic dinner or even a large family dinner!

Yelp
Authentic Italian restaurant with a variety of food options. The only thing that could make it more perfect is offering some gluten free options.

Yelp
Went to our favorite date night dinner place Vito Provolone's. We had our 1st date here & after being married a week I thought we were due for a visit. As always Vito's comes through! Had reservations ( a must for weekend evenings) and we're seated within 10 minutes. As always from the hostesses to the wait staff & the expediters everyone was great. The food is consistently outstanding. Great house salads ( their house Italian is very good!), fab meatballs & my better half loves the spaghetti with Italian sausage (a bit spicy) the garlic bread is warm soft & tasty as well. Now the fettuccine Alfredo. I'm VERY picky when it comes to this dish. I happen to cook a great homemade version of this so I'm always apprehensive ordering it out. Vito's consistently does GREAT Alfredo! Can't recommend this place highly enough! Pro tip #1 their food travels very well so don't hesitate to order carry out. Pro tip #2 Their pizza is very tasty as well!

Yelp
This place is hard to describe. I will call it casual classy. It looks like a somewhat classy spot, but you can come casual. They have a couple of dining areas, but the place is not very big. I would recommend making reservations if you plan on eating here. They have an adequate amount of parking spaces in the private lot that they share with the other businesses in the strip mall it is located. They do have a waiting area with a few chairs in the front, by the hostess station. I have seen this area pretty packed at times. The dining areas are not the most updated, It could use a little renovating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our server was awesome. She was very attentive, friendly and helpful. I was part of a group of 12 and she did not miss a beat. As you should have probably figured out, the restaurant serves Italian favorites including various pastas, pizzas, salads, fish, chicken and seafood. They have some awesome complimentary garlic bread that they bring out to your table before your meal. It was delicious. I ordered the lasagna. It took about 15 minutes for me to get my food, and remember, I was part of a large group. It was fresh, hot, cheesy and delicious. At first glance, I thought it was a bit small. However, it was very filling and between that and the complimentary bread, i was quite satisfied. The littles got a kids spaghetti and they seem to enjoy it. It was a lot of food and they had some leftovers to take home. Keep in mind that this place is only open for dinner and as I mentioned reservations are pretty much as must. I liked my meal here and recommend checking this restaurant out.

Yelp
We had the best time here! A bit of a wait (30 minutes) but they were busy, and have a limited dining room, so we were happy to wait. We were greeted and got drinks quickly, $3.50 a glass house wine was wonderful! I got spaghetti and meatballs and my fiancé got a pizza. Both were hot and delicious! Really loved the garlic bread, softest and most fresh and hot bread I've ever been served!!! Save room for dessert, it a must have! Space was quaint and charming, Italian music playing and fresh linens on each table. We cannot wait to go back and try more things!

Yelp
This place was amazing! Honestly I thought it was a crappy chain - there's a chain called Vito's Pizzas, and I thought it was connected to that. Nope! This is actually a quality Italian family-owned restaurant! The garlic bread that comes with entrees is AMAZING!!!!! I could not stop eating it. Fresh and soft and mmmmm! The small pizza is a perfect appetizer. A different kind of pizza sauce than I'm used to but I really liked it. The pastas all looked SO GOOD. It was hard to choose. I got the chicken Alfredo. They make their own alfredo - super rich and I loved it. The clam chowder was the soup of the day and it was tasty. There was a complaint about price vs size of entree. I get that - the pasta was sizable but easy to finish in one sitting. I think many of us are used to huge pasta portions at restaurants. But you do get the amazing garlic bread and soup or salad, so, worth it if you have the money. Super small when you first enter but there are back rooms, so it's a sizable Place. Good ambiance. The service was AMAZING. Top notch. So many restaurants have bad or meh service, it was so nice to see servers working so hard, always having water filled and fresh bread, and friendly. I will def go back!!!

Yelp
Simply put, this is my favorite Italian spot on the southside. Their starter bread is insanely difficult not to fill up on, and I've never had a bad pasta dish from here. The staff has always been really friendly, and the atmosphere is accommodating for both big groups and couples looking for a quiet, intimate dinner date. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Paul S.

Yelp
By far the best Italian restaurant in Greenwood and one of the best restaurants in all of the Indianapolis area everything I've tried there. Spaghetti, pizza, steak, and desserts, I just love and enjoy family atmosphere staff is impeccable wonderful People. outstanding service.

Yelp
Great food. We had chicken lamone and chicken Diablo. I would recommend it. Diablo not that spicy. Lamone had a great lemon finish. Service great. Tipped over 20 percent due to how nice that were

Yelp
All I can say is WOW! The Chicken Marsala is excellent and my personal favorite while my husband feels the same about the Spaghetti and Meatballs with Italian Sausage. If you love good Italian food give Vito Provolone's a try if you've never been. They are located on South Meridian and Stop 11 set back off the road in a small strip center. We met friends here for dinner and we had a terrific time. The service was superb, our dinners were amazing, the beer was cold and the cocktails were yummy. They also have a nice wine list. The menu has all of your Italian favorites. All the entrees come with fresh salad or Minestrone soup plus wonderful garlic bread. They offer daily soup specials Monday through Saturday. Vito makes 4 of their dressings in-house; House Italian, Ranch, Honey Mustard and Blue Cheese. If you're a Blue Cheese lover like I am, I recommend you try. My friends thought the others were very good as well. My husband always orders the Minestrone soup for his side. We definitely carbed-up with the Bruschetta and Cheese Bread for appetizers along with the regular garlic bread. My husband raves about the Spaghetti and Meatballs with Italian Sausage (their Mom's recipe). The plate was mounded with Spaghetti then the meats were plated around the Spaghetti. He always says he need to find out where they purchased the Italian Sausage. Our friends ordered the Chicken Fettuccine with their luscious home-made alfredo sauce and strips of tender chicken. He ordered the large 14" (12 pieces) S. M. O. G. Pizza. That's sausage, mushroom, onion and green peppers Pizza. He ordered the large so he'd have left overs and he saved 7 pieces for the next day. I ordered the Chicken Marsala which is my one of my top 3 favorites for Italian. If you've never had before it is a very tender chicken breast sauteed in their marsala sauce with mushrooms then served over Angel Hair Pasta. The marsala sauce is so flavorful and delicious I would enjoy just on pasta. Reservations are recommended but you can just walk-in and take a chance. If you'll be a walk-in I'd suggest you call ahead to see if they are booked.
google avatar

Clinton S.

Yelp
The best chicken marsala I've had in Indy. The restaurant is a bit small, but still easy to move around between tables. May be a bit more intimate than some would like but I didn't mind at all for the quality of food. Service was fast and friendly. The prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the meal. I'll definitely go back next time I have a craving really good chicken marsala
google avatar

Erin Lee R.

Yelp
The best little Italian place on the Southside! They're always slammed busy, a testament to how great the food is! I always end up getting the tortellini, with its variety of sauces. A delicious option for date night or catching up with a friend.
google avatar

Londa M.

Yelp
Went to Vitos last night and I have to tell you it was great! I ordered a small seafood pizza and it was so large that I brought over half home! The taste was amazing and the service was spot on! I will be taking my friends there again! Way to knock it out of the park Vitos!

Yelp
Favorite restaurant in the Indy area. Great bread, delicious vodka sauce, and otherwise just plain yummy!

Yelp
This place is yummy . Beats a lot of Italian places . Great wine selection. Try it out . I'm sure you'll enjoy it's not a chain restaurant.

Sue S.

Yelp
Great food. Tastes like it is freshly made. The service is also top notch. Very busy, call for reservations. It is so good

Sarah S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food and a great experience. We had a reservation and were seated very quickly. It was very busy but service was wonderful and attentive. Delicious espresso martini! Will definitely return!

Debbie S.

Yelp
Enjoyed this restaurant again with a friend this evening. I haven't been there in years. It is the same delicious food as it was when I first started going there about 20 years ago. Everything is delicious. My friend had the lasagna. I had the fettuccine Alfredo the salads, the homemade salad dressing, the tiramisu is the best. I've had pizzas here for many many years. The S.M.O.G.can't be beat. The restaurant is small, but need as a pen. The weight staff is friendly and good at their jobs. The prices are fair for the nice quality food they serve. This is no chain pizzeria. Don't miss it.

Denise S.

Yelp
I had made reservations to be on the safe side. We were seated immediately. I got a salad with their homemade Italian dressing, which was a nice change from what I was expecting from an Italian dressing. Very creamy and tasty. I got spaghetti with meat sauce, which was delicious. My husband got the seafood Alfredo. I tried his just to see how it was and was blown away with how delicious it was. I couldn't stop nibbling off of his plate. The Italian bread was warm and soft and garlicky. I was very happy with everything we got and I'm ready to go back again very soon.

Barbara S.

Yelp
Tried the seafood Alfredo with shrimp & crab meat this time. Excellent choice! I highly recommend it- large shrimp, several big pieces of crab, & perfect Alfredo sauce. My usual favorite here is lasagna (a huge helping, enough for 2-3 meals) & I love it too- but the seafood Alfredo will be added to my favorites now. Our server (Maddie) was attentive, very friendly, & efficient! It was very busy, but the staff were hustling around taking excellent care of everyone! Our group enjoyed our dinner & also a great bottle of Riesling wine (1/2 price on Wednesdays!) We will definitely be back soon. Thanks Vito Provolone's for an awesome dinner!

Yelp

Raena L.

Yelp
I've been here before as just a duo and it was good. This time, had a group of nine of us. Service was good and friendly. I had the chicken lamone with capers and angle hair pasta, salad with blue cheese dressing hot bread, house chianti. Hubs had chicken parmasean which wasn't on the menu but he asked if they had it and our server said they could. My SIL had their "italian margarita" which really we think was an amaretto sour, very tasty. Food all around was good, and I enjoyed my leftover for the lunch next day as well. #yum #ReviewsByRL
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
The waitress was really nice and friendly, the food was the right amount. The clam chowder didn't have much clams in at all, but tasted ok. My husband got the Vodka Sauce with Pasta, it wasn't spicy at all. I had the Fettucine Alfredo with shrimp, it was pretty good. The table bread was really good. My husband ate the tiramisu since I don't like chocolate, but I did taste a bite, it tasted like a frozen one with Hershey chocolate milk syrup on top. It's not a bad place to go eat at. It's calm and relaxing no loud music playing and it's clean.
google avatar

Sue Ellen P.

Yelp
The food is amazing! The service is great. It is definitely a great Italian restaurant! We would definitely recommend it! The ambience doesn't compare to the get food!

Yelp
Good Food-Have ordered takeout from here numerous times. The pizza and chicken Parm are my go-tos.

Eric K.

Yelp
Fantastic little Itialian restaurant, was visiting my brother and he recommended we try it, very pleased. Service was great in my opinion. They were very accommodating in making a chicken piccata dish that I liked. The side sauage was also good as excepted. if you're in the area, give them a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Yelp
I was finally able to visit this restaurant recently. I had heard good things about it over the years. My son and his girlfriend seem to really like the place. My overall assessment is that it's too pricy for what you get and the food was just mediocre. It didn't blow me away. The tables are very small. There were four of us and it was quite the challenge to fit everything on the table. The salads were pretty plain (bare bones) and unimpressive, and I would've liked something more than flavorless iceberg lettuce considering the price of the meal. My choice was chicken Diablo. It was just OK. It really wasn't very spicy at all. There wasn't much chicken in the dish as well. The pasta was overwhelmed with the sauce. I was disappointed that they didn't offer what I consider real (grated at the table) Parmesan cheese. They just had the shakers with the dried up stuff. The endless bread was pretty good and is a standout. I will say our server was very attentive and friendly. I'm on the fence as far as going back and trying another dish.
google avatar

Jim T.

Yelp
A cozy, intimate dining experience that just fits. A quiet atmosphere with friendly service. I started with an Italian salad and had the 7inch pizza w pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives and onions. The crust was crispy and the sauce light and complimentary to the balance of the whole. I'll be back.
google avatar

Tina M.

Yelp
The outside is nothing special but the inside is nice , warm and welcoming. We was greeted quickly and was seated. It was quite inside. I really like the brink inside. We ordered stuffed mushrooms for appetizer. Very juice and good. Then we had salad and bread. The bread is already buttered and has a little garlic taste Goos stuff. He orders the fettuccine and said it was very tasty. I orders the tortellini with tomato and Alfredo sauce. Nice mix. I am ready to go back.
google avatar

Rita S.

Yelp
Wonderful Italian restaurant. Ambiance is nice. Food is very very good. Seafood fettuccine last week. Yummy!
google avatar

Ravi S.

Yelp
Okay wow, I really enjoyed this place. My brother wanted Italian food for his birthday so we decided to check out Vito's. The restaurant itself had a really homey vibe that we greatly enjoyed and the service was top notch. Every entree comes with garlic bread and your choice of soup or salad. The salad was a salad. It was good, but nothing incredible. The garlic bread on the other was unbelievably good. It melted in your mouth and I for sure ate way too much. We got the stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer and those were also delicious. The butter oil it came with the and the melted cheese really packed flavor. For the entree I got the seafood fettuccine and it was so good. I don't really know to do it justice because fettuccini is a basic and classic dish, but all I know is that it was incredible and I'd definitely get it again. Dessert was a cocoa powder chocolate ice cream with a cream layer in the middle and that was also good. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
If you want traditional Italian food that's simple but still delicious, you want Vito Provolone's. We've been coming for years, and Vito's has easily become our favorite Italian restaurant on Indy's southside. The atmosphere is wonderful -- intimate but relaxed! Vito's is a family-owned restaurant and they care about their customers. The staff is always very accommodating and we always feel comfortable whether we're enjoying a date night or gathering with friends and family. By now, we've had nearly every dish on the menu and they're all great. I love to start my meals with a cup of minestrone and some of their warm, fresh bread. For comfort food, I turn to the baked mostaccioli. The marinara is a bit on the sweet side for my taste, so I usually ask for extra garlic and that helps balance it out. Their pizzas make a great casual dinner. Or for something more rich and decadent, the chicken lamone is very flavorful without being too heavy. They also have a wine that perfectly compliments each meal, which for me is a must for any good Italian restaurant.
google avatar

Ace P.

Yelp
Love all of the food there! The pasta, the pizza, the service! This place is close to home and well worth the money . The portions are healthy and it usually takes two sittings to finish!

Rivera A.

Yelp
Wow it's a great place for a family, business or any other reunion. 1,000 % satisfied and wanting for comeback soon

Kiley W.

Yelp
I love this place! My favorite dish is the baked mostaccioli. They also have the best garlic bread I've ever had. The service is always great and the restaurant is cozy and comforting to me. Honestly my favorite restaurant in town!
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
Vito's food is amazing. They have an amazing staff. The restaurant is in a convenient location. Great prices
google avatar

Bobbi J.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, this is possibly the best Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo that I've ever eaten! Sorry that you didn't get a picture, I'll get that next time. The chicken is grilled and tender, the Alfredo sauce is rich. I don't like a runny, tasteless Alfredo sauce. This one is a winner! The Caesar Salad was also good with homemade croutons, and the garlic bread was fresh and tasty. You may need a reservation, so call ahead and check.

Yelp
A lovely place, a neighborhood favorite. Has been there through thick and thin and Covid. Great Italian food.
