Came here with no reservations with my party of 3 and to my surprise we were handed only the food menu, haha. It's not a big deal since I prefer food anyway, just surprised since the restaurant was covered from floor to ceiling full of wine! The wine menu is quite hefty and I went for the Chardonnay.
I can't say much about parking but it looks like they do valet right in front. The place is quite loud so be prepared to speak up when having a conversation within your party.
The food menu is quite clear with selections for a charcuterie board:
3 items for $28
5 for $44
Certain items require additional charges. We started out with one charcuterie board of 5 items, along with these dishes, served family style:
GRILLED OCTOPUS - $32
Chorizo spiced spanish octopus, roasted heirloom carrots, lime creme fraiche, black garlic mole.
Tender, flavorful, and decent overall.
TRUFFLE CAESAR SALAD - $30
Heirloom tomato, butter lettuce, artisan romaine moliterno truffle pecorino, shaved garlic crouton, truffle caesar dressing.
Did I just order a $30 salad that didn't even come with any protein? I sure did. I think the truffle was the protein, and this salad was very good. It was interestedly presented too--like they build a structure out of the lettuce, haha.
MOROCCAN CAULIFLOWER - $24
Pan-roasted mixed cauliflower, ras al hanout, preserved lemon puree, almonds, sultanas.
I didn't care for this, but it was fine and I just wouldn't normally order this. My friends enjoyed it.
Then we decided we were hungry and ordered another charcuterie board of 5 items. I can't tell you which meats were chosen as I didn't make the order but they were all good.
And for some reason while I went to the restroom, my friends decided we order one last dish:
WOOD OVEN BAKED BRIE - $28
french baguette, fermier brie, truffle honey, truffle butter, shaved truffle.
Very over hyped as this was bland and just tasted like buttered and toasted baguette, sliced. For that price, I do not recommend.
I had a nice time, wine was ordered of coarse but I'm no wino so can't tell you my full experience on that. Service was decent, and I'd probably only come back if it was the only option to be with a certain company.
