"Hit Sundance Square in Fort Worth for seafood dishes prepared with a hint of Southwest and Louisiana influences. Owner and chef Jon Bonnell is a leader in the city’s fine dining scene, and seafood fans will find all the classics here, from a lump crab salad to Cajun sea scallops. And the wine menu is top-notch." - Courtney E. Smith, Daniel Rockey

Walked in a 8:30 pm on a Monday evening and was graciously seated and served by the staff. Food was fantastic Gulf coast style seafood with some Cajun influence. Steak was also fantastic. Service was wonderful as well. My only suggestion would be the lighting which was rather cold and harsh for a restaurant of this caliber. Would definitely come back, especially if staying at the Worthington across the street.

Will return. Chef John Bonnell's restaurant. They're near the Sundance Sq in downtown, on the corner of Main St. and E 2nd St.; high ceiling, industrial, pleasant on the eye. Good stem Schott Zwiese (I prefer Riedel), mini decanters (single-serve carafes) ... which might add a touch of elegance and sophistication (?) but, actually, I'd rather not to have my wine wash through one more medium ... Our female server looks seasoned, with a big seasoned smile. We've crab cake - the best I've had so far: love and appreciate the nuts Ruby red trout - very good oysters texasfellar - very good After the appetizer she asked us if we’d like some bread … yes but no and I told her she’s a bad girl -:) Well stocked bathroom, from hand cream to mouthwash - a good natured bitching: shouldn't the mouthwash be the purple colored Total Care? ha ha ha ... Thank you.

We had passed Waters many times when going to Bass Hall and kept forgetting to make reservations. One night, with no reservations anywhere we dropped in and they were able to seat us. So happy they could. Really really liked this restaurant. Love the casual yet upscale feel. Service was exceptional. And most important, the food was outstanding. We started with very creative and well-prepared drinks – the Voodoo Cowboy and the Sunset Sipper. As we began our drinks, an outstanding loaf of bread was delivered. For a starter we split a Tomato and Goat Cheese Salad. I like it a lot when you tell a server you are splitting something and then deliver it on two plates. In this case, not just on two plates, but actually as small versions of the original with all of the plate appeal that the larger one would have. The salad was gently dressed and the cheese and tomato plentiful. Well done. For a main I had the Ruby Red Crusted Trout with crab and green beans, and a side of Boursin Mashed Potatoes. Every single item was perfectly prepared and filled with flavor. My wife had the Waters Crab Cake and described it as one of the best she has ever tasted. This is from someone who has had crab cakes at many restaurants. Filled with flavor, on a great sauce bed, excellent. We had no room for dessert, but did have time because the service was perfectly paced for going to the musical at Bass Hall. We will return to Waters, probably many times.

I visited Waters in Fort Worth during happy hour (4-6 PM, daily) and had a fantastic experience. The service was fast and attentive, and the ambiance was perfect for unwinding with drinks and snacks. Espresso Martini ($11) – Smooth, rich, and well-balanced with a great coffee flavor. It was beautifully presented with coffee beans on top, making it both aesthetic and delicious. Zelarita ($8) – A refreshing tequila-based cocktail with a salted rim, lime juice, and triple sec—perfect for margarita lovers who enjoy a well-balanced citrusy kick. Truffle Fries – Crispy and flavorful with just the right amount of truffle essence and parmesan. These were a perfect savory snack to pair with drinks. Complimentary Bread & Butter – A nice touch! The bread was fresh, warm, and paired perfectly with the butter spread, making it a great little starter while waiting for food and drinks. Fast and attentive service – The staff was friendly and made sure everything arrived promptly. Relaxed yet upscale vibe – A great place to hang out, whether for a casual happy hour or a more refined seafood dining experience. With its delicious cocktails, flavorful bites, and top-notch service, Waters Fort Worth is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back for another Espresso Martini and Zelarita!

While in Texas, people want to try a steak but as this is the second trip to DFW, walking around the hotel we found this place. The setup is nice, the decor is nice and it’s a trendy place. We tried the crab cake, tuna tartare, fried oysters and goat cheese salad and colleague tried the halibut fish with gnocchi.

Still sitting at the table but didn’t want to forget to leave a review because it was delicious and the service was great. Shout out to our server Andrew as he was fantastic. We had the Oysters that had a dozen oysters with 6 different kinds. Love me some east coast oysters. I also got a 10 ounce Maine lobster tail that was super good.

Went here for our Anniversary and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was classy and romantic and the service was phenomenal. We like to take our time at high end restaurants (2-3 hours) and we were never rushed by the staff. The waiter made so many awesome recommendations and we absolutely loved everything we tried. The food is incredibly fresh, clean, and flavorful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers.

Yelp
What a great experience. We booked our reservation Open Table, with a note of our anniversary. We were greeted and anniversary acknowledged, sweet treat and when leaving the hostess even remembered and said it again. Such a nice touch. Service was fantastic. And when I requested a sangria, not normally on the menu, they made me one and it was super tasty. We did the seafood tower, a great deal for everything on it and a wonderful way to sample so many great items. Also... who knew shrimp cups could be so good. Oysters, large shrimp, ahi tuna, ceviche. Do it. Bread was delicious. For my dinner, I got the goat cheese salad... wow, it's as yummy as everyone said on here and the crab cakes (2). He got the gumbo, full of meaty goodness and a 12 ounce lobster tail. And we did the large lobster mac. It was good but not a knock out. Everything else was amazing. Highly recommend. So close to sundance square and a lovely stroll.

Yelp
We have only stopped at Waters for drinks prior to tonight but we finally had time to enjoy dinner here! We arrived around 5p to take advantage of the great pricing on their happy hour menu. We started with a dozen oysters for less than $25 and also enjoyed their fresh baked bread and butter prior to ordering our dinner. My husband isn't the biggest seafood eater so he tried their burger (from their HH Menu) with a side salad along with their garlic fries--- he thought the burger was the best of the three. Side note: we think their ketchup is homemade but forgot ask... really tasty! I had the halibut with sweet potato "gnocchi". Halibut was perfectly cooked but I could pass on the gnocchi... not the greatest. I would love to compliment the service staff. The just was so kind as well as our waitress/bartender. She helped us make our final choices and we never had to ask for anything. Huge thanks to her for making our experience so enjoyable! We will most definitely add Waters to our date night rotation!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
The service was exceptional (Laurel was our server), the ambiance was wonderful, and the food was PERFECTION! We had The Oysters Sundance, the Dirty Dozen (2 of each raw on the half shell), Gumbo, house salad, Ceasar salad, Halibut, Filet, and Sea scallops, and a Ft. Worth Old Fashioned, Pinot Girgio, and a Muscado. It was the best meal I have had in my life! I have eaten at some very fine establishments, but this was such an amazing experience, and I will never forget it. Thank you! Jennifer McKinney

Yelp
We enjoy eating at Waters. We dined on the first Monday of restaurant week. Korlin was our server. She took good care of us. I stared with 1/2 dozen PEI like oysters, not part of restaurant week. I enjoyed. I ordered the watermelon salad very refreshing fit a 100 degrees day. My wife ordered the romaine salad. She ate the Salmon for her main course. I ate the blackened red fish. Both were rich but great tasting. My wife ate the crème brûlée for desert and brought mine home. One thing I loved was the portions. Just right to not feel stuffed. I brought home some of the redfish. We enjoyed the evening.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and I'm SO glad we finally did. All the food was so excellent that we tore into it before I could snap more photos! The arctic char was perfectly cooked and flavorful, the tuna tartare was fresh, but our favorite dish was their fried goat cheese and heirloom tomato salad. A. MUST. TRY. It's definitely an elevated, mature version of a fried cheese stick. And the service matched the food! Very attentive and friendly staff. It's upscale so expect to pay more, but it was well worth it.

Yelp
We sat on the patio for Saturday HAPPY HOUR and it was fabulous, I cannot recommend more! Such a large selection of food and drinks on the happy hour menu, something for everyone (seafood of course!). The garlic butter oysters on the happy hour menu were by far the best thing we ate - and I don't like raw oysters! The service was fabulous - we will be back for happy hour.

Yelp
We took my parents to Waters for dinner last night and had an incredible time. The service, the food, and the atmosphere is top-notch. My favorite thing is the goat cheese salad. Everything about it was perfection, the dressed arugula, heirloom tomato, and the crunchy coated herb Goat cheese. I think my dad enjoyed the margaritas the most since he kept ordering them. My husband appeared to also love the old-fashioned. Lol. My mother and I enjoyed some red blends. We shared the dishes at our table: the cocktail shrimp, crabcake, Arctic char, gumbo, and the sea scallops. Every piece of seafood was fresh and cooked properly with loads of flavor. Well done, team! Thanks for a great evening!

Yelp
Not bad, but not great. Food was good, small portions but quick and nice service. Came here for some drinks and appetizer. The waiter was nice, gave good advices for what to order from the menu. The drinks were light, taste like juice, no alcohol. Food was good but nothing special. The free bread was really good, soft crunch on outside soft on inside. The oysters were small. Overall place is pricy for what they serve. We took our sister for her birthday dinner, waiter asked if we were celebrating anything special and brought out a candle on a dish. I would have prefer nothing than a candle on a dish. Overall okay place, not worth $300+ though. We went across the street to get more drinks.

Tom F.

Yelp
The ambience was nice and the staff very attentive however the prices seem exorbitant. I wanted a bourbon on the rocks and was told it was $21. I have the same bourbon at home in the bottle for $53. I know they're in business to make a profit, but that seems excessive. My $12. Caesar salad consisted of 3-6 inch leaves of Romain uncut on a plate with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and crouton crumbs on top. The best part of my meal was the seafood gumbo which was delicious. I'm aware that they need to make a profit, however, if they are concerned with business growth there's a need to make their menus more affordable.

Lau H.

Yelp
Service was good. Oysters were good. My halibut dish was good. All in all 10/10 recommend! I will definitely be back!

Albert G.

Yelp
This is the place for great dishes, amazing service, and good drinks. The ambiance is relaxing with a more upscale crowd. The dirty dozen oysters were definitely one of the favorite dishes for the night. Premium oysters from different places and tasted very fresh. Our entrees were the lump crab cakes and the 8 oz filet mignon. The lump crab cakes were definitely filled with quality crab and they were delicious! The filet mignon was seared well and an absolute winner. Overall, the service here was great and helpful, our server was very informative about the menu items.

Yelp
My wife and I had a fantastic Anniversary Dinner here on Wednesday evening this week. I have lived in Fort Worth for the past three and a half years and this was one of the top three meals I have had. We probably dine out five or more times per month. Janelle was our server and she was excellent explaining the menu and answering any questions we had. Wonderfully upbeat. The restaurant itself was laid out extremely well. The ambiance was felt throughout the restaurant and bar. The food was incredible, the oysters (which were premium oysters flown in daily), the heirloom tomato and fried goat cheese salad started the dinner off well. Our entrees of Halibut ( also flown in daily) and Cajun Sea Scallops tasted amazingly fresh and could not have tasted better. I did mention when I made the reservation that it was our Anniversary. When we checked in we were told Happy Anniversary and for the rest of our dining experience everyone we came into contact with wished us Happy Anniversary. We were even given a card signed by the staff with our dessert that told us Happy Anniversary again. That type of service very rarely happens anymore. I know this is a long review, but it is so deserved after the experience we had.

Yelp
Restaurant Week I took my parents here for restaurant week. Bonnell's (my dad's favorite restaurant) was booked, but fortunately Waters (still owned by Bonnell Restaurant Group) had an open early dinner reservation. The food was good. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the cheese grits were some of the best grits I've ever had. I also ordered calamari and even though they said steak cut they weren't really steak cut and had a lot of fried flour breading. I had the watermelon salad which unfortunately was only ok, but my folks loved the corn relish salad. They also really enjoyed the shrimp and grits and salmon and dirty rice. For dessert I ordered the strawberry cheesecake tart but after tasting my dad's coffee crème brûlée, I wish I had chosen that instead. The service was great- I never had to ask for water and the waiter checked on us at reasonable times. If you go to restaurant week, get the corn relish salad, the shrimp and grit or the salmon, and the coffee crème brûlée.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
Came here last weekend for dinner. Ended up having the ribeye and gold potatoes instead of a seafood dinner. We did have the calamari which was tasty and the crab cake was ok. Not one of the best but not one of the worst. Drinks were made well. Service was fantastic. The only down side is they close at 9. Would be nice if they were open just an hour longer. Will definitely come here again. You should make reservations if you plan on going.

Sara C.

Yelp
We had salmon special with asparagus risotto and artic char with sauce. Both were perfectly cooked but way too salty. Neither of us could finish due to saltiness. But service was great. Would probably not order these again but go for fish and chips possibly. We like Bonnell's much better.

J C.

Yelp
Happened upon this place looking for seafood and steak in downtown Ft Worth. Made a reservation, changed reservation and then cancelled it due to headcount's not confirming. As luck would have it everyone confirmed right after cancelled. Called Waters and to my shock, they said no problem come on anyway! Great customer service! Very clean relaxed atmosphere, hush puppies are on point, extremely fresh east coast oysters, filet was outstanding and shrimp grilled perfectly. To cap it off, Root Beer Floats for desert! Andrew was our waiter at lounge area, couldn't have asked for a more attentive experience! Thank you

Yelp
First time going to Waters, as a restaurant. I've been to the bar, but this time it was with friends who've never been there before so we were looking for a great time. The food was amazing, they atmosphere was great, but the help, well that fell short big time. Let me explain. We showed up for 6:30 p.m. Friday night reservation, we did have a show at the local jazz bar. Just two blocks away at 8:00 p.m. Figuring that an hour and a half is a good enough time to order, get our meal and get to the show, we were greatly mistaken We are server was Chad. Obviously he knew what he was doing but he fell short on one major thing, letting us know the protocol. We didn't think it would take 45 minutes for the food to show up after we ordered, and there's a few things you should know. So let me give you the background we sat. We ordered our drinks and we ordered an appetizer but that was done only when Chad said he will get everything from us. So you will have to order the appetizer and your dinner at the same time, which was not explained to us until the moment We wanted to order an appetizer. Next next we were enjoying our appetizers and drinks but it was taking a long while for our dinner. So at 7:30 p.m. an hour after we sat down, I asked Chad where was our meal. And I did explain to him that we had a show at 8:00 p.m. first thing he said was I didn't know you should have told me. I didn't like his tone, but okay now he knows there needs to be an expedited side to getting our food delivered to the table and the bill to be brought quickly so we can wolf down our food, by the way, which was wonderful, before we headed out the door and made it to the venue just in time. So for those of you who are looking to go to waters and you have a concert or a venue or a play that you are attending, make sure you let your weight staff know even though I think they should have told us or have asked us if there was a show, make sure you let them know what time your show is so that way they can expedite your order if you are an hour and a half before the venue. With this experience, I doubt I would recommend this place to another friend because of what Chad did. Now I understand that it's not Chad who represent the whole establishment, but I do feel like it is his responsibility to have told us that if we had a show or if he asked if we had a show, especially on a busy Friday night, that we've would have known the protocols versus assuming that we knew it was going on. On to the food the food was amazing. We had a dirty dozen which is 12 oysters from different locations from around the United States, so you get different salinity and different tastes from each out of six locations around the states Next, we have the halibut and the filet mignon. Oh well prepared, delicious and I would highly recommend it if you go to this establishment. We did not partake in dessert obviously because of our rush, but in the short 20 minutes we had to eat our food, it was delicious. Unfortunately, we were not truly able to enjoy each day's and the company of our friends. We just spent our time wolfing down our food. If you go to this establishment, just be aware that you are responsible for letting your staff know that you have a show coming up. If you don't have a show, well sitting around for 45 minutes, minutes waiting for your food and you're enjoying your cocktails and your appetizers, Waters is a good place. There are other establishments around there that you can frequent, I'm just sorely disappointed in the staff the way that Chad treated us and he had the assumption that we knew it were doing, and we were the first time visiting.

Kelsey R.

Yelp
Went here on a random dinner pick &&&&& LOVED it. High scale seafood restaurant in the middle of downtown Fort Worth. Everything we ate was really good. The oyster appetizer, salad with goat cheese, and free bread was a must! The halibut fish was also good, but not my favorite. Our waiter went above and beyond and made sure we were happy and the table was clean. Ambiance was calm and fit the occasion. Will come again.

Debbie B.

Yelp
Best gumbo ever!!! So much seafood and well balanced with okra which I usually hate. I was full with the cup but wanted more. Sat at the bar and it's super chill vibe and a little busy for a Wednesday evening. Happy hour is a great deal for oysters! I got 12 oysters for $24. It's half off the regular menu.

Gill S.

Yelp
While fresh seafood may be how good your distributor is, Waters excels in the small details that make this a wonderful place. This place sits on the edge of being formal, while also feeling elegantly casual. You'll see lots of old money bourgeoisie business folks, along with plenty of families and friends. Service is top notch, where our server/bartender had the grace of a ballerina, watching over every patron, keeping diligent track of each person's progress with their meal. I arrived 7 minutes before the end of happy hour. I'm glad I was able to still order from the happy hour menu! I accidently ended up ordering all the components that would have been in the seafood tower all a la carte. Doing this led me to have a discounted seafood tower (by like 35%). Totally worth getting stuff from the happy hour menu! The Oysters dirty dozen is a medley plate of all the oysters they have on hand. Honestly is the best route to take, unless you absolutely know or crave something specific. This was the best value during the happy hour. It was basically half off a normal order! You can't go wrong ordering the shrimp cocktail. It hits the spot if you want to sink your teeth into some colossal shrimp. You get about 6 shrimp, which can be pricey but it's worth getting. The shrimp cocktail sauce may have been some of the best I've had. Most of the time cocktail sauce is too acidic, too watery, or just plain terrible. Not this one! It was robust and full of body, like a roasted red pepper or even an Italian red sauce. I don't know how they do it, but I'm still dreaming about it! The mustard sauce was also fantastic, but the cocktail sauce blew me out of the stratosphere, while I was still grounded on earth with the mustard. What I will say is this mustard had a little of every type of mustard. Tangy like dijon, hearty like stone ground, but a good amount of creamy sweetness like honey mustard. The Shrimp and crab ceviche was probably my least favorite thing from the menu, but this is solely in comparison. The dish itself is still a solid choice. They have decent bits of shrimp, but this did not satisfy my craving for shrimp. The Tuna tartare may be small, but it sure was tasty! Fresh raw tuna, sitting on top of avocado and other acidic, creamy sauces made this a nonstop scooping expo. The chips are even fried in house! The crunchy outside, with a touch of a soft inside as it melts on your tongue was quite the delight. I would have ordered more, but I was actually getting full. I blame the scorching weather and day drinking at Martin House causing my stomach to close up shop so soon. Otherwise, this is one of the best restaurants for seafood that Ive had in DFW.

Nicole M.

Yelp
I've been here a few times but we had a birthday celebration for a friend here not long ago: Not a fan of where they sat us (Bar area and one long table for 18). Made it difficult to visit with others and move around the space. Bar service is a little slow. Other than that, table service was great. Food was amazing! Always order the chef special. Will be back sometime in the future.

Linh Q.

Yelp
This place had good flavors, great service, will definitely be a good place for a night out for date night. They have valet, but if you come after 830 or later, valet will be filled up and you'll be forced to park by yourself. I made reservations at 8:45, and the kitchen told me that they will stop taking orders around nine, so I didn't have much time to choose. Although they were very patient with me. The lobster tail was succulent, the shrimp was super fresh, I did not like the dirty rice. But the crabcakes were delicious! I love the aesthetic inside it's very chill, you don't have to dress up too much, but you can't be dress down, really nice bar for you to just come and grab a drink as well. Overall, I will be back.

Flo K.

Yelp
The food was good, not great due to the high price tags Caesar salad was lack luster and took minimal effort for the high price. Service was very good and the hostess was very upscale, and professional. She glided through the restaurant helping patrons. Not sure I would eat here again, but the front of house staff is excellent and seem to work very hard.

katerina k.

Yelp
We made a reservation on a Friday night. It was quite busy, but the service was nice and quick. Our server made several recommendations and was very polite. The food was delicious. We ordered fried oysters and it was the highlight of our dinner, the halibut with sweet potato gnocchi was delicious. We really enjoyed this place! I would recommend making reservations in advance.

Elaine F.

Yelp
Delicious!! Great service. This is a nice pre-show dinner. Note that a table of two could be sat at a communal high top table with other reservations.

Amanda N.

Yelp
Water's has the best happy hour oyster deal in town. A dirty vodka martini with bleu cheese olives and the Dirty Dozen on the back patio make any rough day easier to take. This is my most favorite restaurant in town. Everything on the menu is delicious and perfectly prepared. Service is always excellent.

Daddy J.

Yelp
Everything we dreamed of and more !.... Fantastic dining experience Glad they were open Happy new year !~~

Kimberly W.

Yelp
Happy Hour has never been happier! My mom and I love to go to different Happy Hours, around Fort Worth, and I think Water's may be my new favorite. $7 Dirty Martinis (with blue cheese stuffed olives...yum), $19 Dirty Dozen oysters, and various other bar snacks. I can't wait to go back!

Indira B.

Yelp
Came here for our anniversary!! Food was amazing (we ate it too fast and couldn't take pictures) Can't wait to be back!

Toni M.

Yelp
Wonderful service, food and modestly bustling ambience - "we're busy, but you can hear everyone at your table talking" noise level. You can order literally anything on the menu and it will be amazing. Throw a dart at the menu and order "that".

Joe H.

Yelp
Just took a chance at yelp and it did not surprise. From the moment we walked in they did a great job. We got the perfect table and our server (Daniel) was one of the best I have had. He gave us recommended our wine and since there were three of us we decided to order several item to enjoy their best options They even provided us with hot and cold plates to make sure the food was served at the right temperature. The wine was great and at the end of the night the GM (Jake) stopped by to ask us how things went and made sure we were taken care of. Long story short go and enjoy

Jennifer T T.

Yelp
Wow. Absolutely top notch. From the service, to the atmosphere to the food...absolutely wonderful. Our server was fantastic. She made wonderful suggestions, answered all of my many questions and improved our overall dining experience. We started off with crab cakes which were delicious. Excellent dear on the top, but not too much. My husband ordered the pan seared halibut with sweet potato gnocchi and I had the char. Both were superb. When you go(and you should) make sure to get some of Nana's lemon icebox cheesecake. It might honestly be the best cheesecake I have ever had. Ever.

Hillary R.

Yelp
Sat in the lounge area. The service was great. Oysters were okay. My favorites were the crab cakes and halibut!

Allison M.

Yelp
My husband and sister in law come annually for Fort Worth's Main Street Art Fest and my husband and I have stayed at the Worthington in the past, where we can walk across the street to Waters. This time, we just came in for the day. It was her first time and my FAVORITE seafood restaurant and I live in Dallas. I love the decor, food and service. It's casual yet fine dining. We ate at 4:30. On this occasion, we were celebrating my hubby's birthday the day before and had 3 beautiful goddesses serve us! The head server, Janell (please excuse misspellings of names) is an Aquarian who knew a lot about my crystals I was wearing, who was training Elila (also an Aquarian) and Lindsay (a Libra)- I asked them all their sun signs. Great conversations too. It was wonderful appointed service- making sure we were happy at all times. We started with expertly made martinis served w/ice crystals in steel martini "glasses"...a great bartendress. We started with a dozen oysters and the BEST crab cake (browned and tender) with arugula and dressing I can recall having anywhere. We then had the jumbo shrimp and tomato, arugula and fried goat cheese salad with a special ranch. YUM! Jumbo shrimp perfectly cooked and good lemony mustard sauce w/cocktail sauce. We added the garlic and parmesan French fries with the ranch and shared the Icelandic ARCTIC CHAR with asparagus. If you haven't tried Arctic Char, they do it beautifully! If you like Salmon, try Arctic Char. Sis-in-law and hubby ordered Espresso Martinis which were wonderful paired with a surprise signed and wax-sealed happy birthday card and 3 delicious truffles. We also had the subtle/delicate lemon cheesecake and perfect creme brulee. I stopped by the kitchen and thanked them in broken Spanish, because a great meal has a small army of greatness behind it and people need to know how much their craft is appreciated. I look forward to the next time I can dine here! We learned they have an amazing patio too on the other side! Sorry, didn't take photos. Everything we ate was beautifully presented and delicious.

Jim W.

Yelp
Great find in Sundance Plaza thanks to Yelp. We'd been looking for a new seafood spot and saw the reviews on Waters. Class act from the time we stepped through the door. The service was outstanding, very attentive without being intrusive. Cocktails were a treat, along with the jalapeño and corn hushpuppies as a appetizer. We had the surf and turf and the halibut. The seafood was certainly the star of the show. Prepared perfectly. Desert was strawberry shortcake and coffee. Start to finish a great experience . Not cheap, but great for a special night out.

Shonya L.

Yelp
We celebrated our 8year anniversary at Waters, our server was really nice. He greeted us and congratulated us on our anniversary and promptly started to explain the menu for the night. (Chad-hope that's right). He recommended the goat cheese salad for my husband and I to spilt and that was the best part of the meal. My husband did enjoy his steak and shrimp. My meal was not that great. The risotto was under cooked, the broccolini was extremely salty and the fish was bland, the little bit of sauce saved the plate. We sat at a table by the server's entrance so I didn't see much of the ambiance of the restaurant, I just watched the team work and I can say this place has a great staff they work together very well. Overall I left underwhelmed and hangry.

John M.

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner here on 11/18 before a concert and it was excellent . The service was perfect out on the outdoor patio. We had the arugula, green tomato and fried goat cheese salad and a Caesar to start , we split the seafood tower as the entree. The seafood tower had wonderful elevations on the old classic, I will explain. The ceviche with micro diced ingredients, awesome. Fried airy wontons dusted with a Tajin type seasoning for the tuna tartar. Delicious selection of various oysters and properly cooked shrimp. The added element was everything was very cold and iced properly, makes all the seafood feel so fresh. Last we had the crème brûlée and espresso's. Next time we are in Fort Worth we will be back . Waters Texas thank you for the wonderful evening.

Yelp
This is a nice seafood restaurant in the heart of downtown Fort Worth. We had excellent service and the food was fantastic. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. We made reservations for 6pm on a Saturday night and had plenty of time to make it to the symphony concert at 7:30 (within walking distance to Bass Hall!). It wasn't too busy when we got there but had picked up by the time we left, so a reservation might be a good idea. They have a nice patio space that we want to try next time we go. We had the hush puppies for an appetizer (they were a special) and WOW. So good - we especially loved the fried jalapeños. For dinner, I had the halibut, which was perfectly cooked - light and melt-in-your-mouth, and the sauce and potato gnocchi were delicious. My mom had the crab legs (1/2 lb) which she loved. We also shared a side of the haricot verts. I would say if you're hungry, sharing a side is a good idea. The portions are a normal (aka not massive) size. They also have a good wine menu. Overall, great evening!

Yelp
This is truly a seafood restaurant that specializes in seafood dishes. Don't come with expectations of finding a good steak with the seafood. We had the appetizer for 4 plus that included crab, oysters, shrimp and tuna sushi. Very tasty and extremely fresh! It was quite filling. I jumped out and ordered the 6 oz filet with a lobster tail. The steak was okay, not bad, just okay. The lobster was perfect. Service was fantastic and friendly. Price point was on the higher side but makes sense for the fresh seafood menu.

Yelp
We had the scallops and crab cake. Both were so yummy. Lobster Mac and cheese was good too. Bartender was super friendly and made great drinks. Fun formal environment.

Yelp
My girlfriend told me this was a great place for crab legs & that is what my husband wanted for dinner for his birthday. We were disappointed but they are unable to get crab legs right now. There were so many good reviews about the crab cakes so we both got them, they were okay. They did bring out my husband a little celebration dessert. And then we each got a dessert. The place was super cute & the staff were amazing. Would go again but call before to see if they have crab.

Yelp
Came here for my sister's birthday, and it was a real treat! Great location, beautiful restaurant, outstanding service and delicious food! I had the red snapper special and added a crab cake because....why not? My daughter ordered the filet and absolutely loved it. She has been asking to go back just so she can get another steak lol

Yelp
Menu - inviting to ponder! Service - very attentive & knowledgeable about offerings! Ambience - just right to be able have conversations without yelling, great decor, soothing music. All of these plus most delicious food selections equaled an excellent dinner. Well done!

Yelp
Biggest takeout ripoff experience in my 41 yrs on earth. Born and raised off the coast, I thought I might be able to experience a decent piece of fish in Texas. Considering, it's a little bit closer to the coast than Denver. I asked the host several times what he recommended to be the best piece of fish and settled for the halibut special. I spent $86 for a piece of fish the size of two fingers and a garbage crab and green salad. I feel like I need to be credited. I almost never write reviews, but this particular situation really made me very upset. That's a lot of money!

Yelp
Excellent food, friendly service though there times they were a bit scarce. We ate outside, which was chiller than anticipated. The restaurant were quick to provide heaters. Will definitely return (and sit indoors next time) & recommend. The lobster tail & tuna tartare were fantastic!

Yelp
We always have such a great time and experience when coming to dine here. We were served by Sophia this evening with the help from Kentt for some great wine options. We came to try out this years Restaurant Week menu and we were not disappointed. There were three of us at the table, so we were able to divide and conquer the whole menu this year and get to try everything. The salads, soup, and fish dishes. The espresso cream Brule dish was really outstanding and it really put the sponge cake into the shadows for the sweet part of the menu. Never a bad meal or service at Waters Texas!

Yelp
Amazing experience, amazing service, and amazing food! We went here for our engagement dinner and were treated so well by both the manager, kitchen staff, and server. The food was really great. 10/10 recommend. They even brought celebratory truffles, which were great! Cant wait to come back

Yelp
My husband took me here for my birthday. Perfect choice for a pescatarian! Our waiter, Jacob, was absolutely amazing. Since it was our first time he gave us a complete run down of the menu and even highlighted a couple of dishes that he liked which helped us narrow down our choices. My favorite thing was the Dirty Dozen. It was a oyster flight with six different types of oysters. It was thoughtfully plates so you could follow the order displayed on the menu as you were eating them. I also tried the fried oyster Appetizer and that was just as good. They were larger in size, so 6 went a long ways I was struggling to pick between the crab cakes and the halibut, but when Jacob mentioned the red snapper special with a crawfish cream sauce, I was sold. So happy with my choice. The broccolini was the perfect compliment to the fish. I couldn't bring myself to order dessert. I was just too dang full. I know I missed out on something spectacular, but I had no more room in my tummy

Yelp
2 stars for the waitstaff who brought me a water. Could've been three but the other one didn't bother to tell the outdoor barkeep (bartenders, back when I was one, at least either kept their heads on a swivel or developed a 6th sense) he had a customer. I didn't have the time to wait, it was a hit it or forget it moment. I'm not the type who will beg anyone just so I can pay them. Too harsh? I don't know. I usually tip 100% and all I wanted was a shot of añejo and I was out of time. Sure hope the couple he was speaking with and running inside for on Friday about 5:15 gave him 100% , me, I didn't get the chance to do so.

Yelp
Staff, food, ambiance was top tier from beginning to end! We were in a hurry after arriving late to dinner before a ballet performance, and our server managed to make it the best experience!
