We came here for “lunch” after a beautiful, touristy morning! In the mood to satisfy a sweet tooth, I got the hot chocolate and cinnamon roll. The roll itself was dense rather than pillowy - as vegan cinnamon rolls typically are in my experience, but the tart vegan cream cheese icing contrasted well with the warm cinnamon! The hot chocolate was also wonderfully sweet, and it was the perfect treat after a bitingly cold morning. The concept of an all-vegan restaurant has always dazzled me, especially from getting to enjoy anything on the menu without concern about dietary restrictions. What a great feeling, especially when the food is so delicious! Would recommend visiting and would love to try their extensive savory options as well!

Food was great! The firehouse crunch wrap was AMAZING. The fries on the side complimented it well. Service was friendly and welcoming. Was pretty busy around lunch on Friday so the servers had a lot of stuff going on, so they didn't check in on us as often as I would have liked, but I totally understand. We came back again on Sunday for dinner too. Split the club sandwich that time. Was big enough for two people to share. So good!

I went to Wayward Vegan for breakfast today and it was delicious! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and I really enjoyed getting to sit by the window and drink coffee in such a relaxed environment. I could definitely see this becoming one of my regular breakfast spots. ☀️💛

Google
My fave vegan restaurant. My whole family loves it too. From burgers to wraps to sandwiches and bowls, everything has been delicious. My personal favorite is the Reuben sandwich….so satisfying. Their fries are just the crispiest too. Service is always nice and fast. Great value!

Google
Voted best vegan restaurant!!! And it is!! Serves great plant based meals that mimic everyday meals that I grew up with! My thoughts are this …. Places like Wayward Vegan better socialize and introduces those seeking a way of eating that does not harm… to animals, environment and humans. Place for us to savor the taste we were raised with and continue to value our personal choice to do no harm.

Google
Friendly staff, casual atmosphere, and amazing food! We have to visit every time we travel from Spokane. The diner style menu is enormous with a little bit of everything, including brunch. The food is fresh and flavorful with great portion sizes.

This is a must-visit spot in Seattle! The options are almost endless, and the food is delicious. The omelette tasted amazing and very similar to real egg. Portions a large and food is priced fairly. Couldn’t recommend it any more!

Google
Delicious vegan food with a robust menu. We unfortunately missed the breakfast menu as they stop serving at 3pm. Our group tried a little of everything. We tried the "Jessica's Slammin' Fried Artichokes", Gyro plate, chicken Ceasar salad, the Chikn parmesan sandwich, but our favorites were the Chikn Drumsticks with all the sauces on the side dipped in ranch dressing, the Philly Cheesesteak, & the French fries.

Yelp
This place is beyond awesome. Food is generous and satisfying. Great for vegans and omnivores. We had a veggie omelette for breakfast. It was full of veggies. The home fries were perfect crisp, not oily and not burnt. Service is very friendly. This appears to be a family run restaurant and they take pride in serving good food and providing good service. I would have taken a photo of my meal, but I ate it before thinking of writing this review.

Yelp
My partner and I went midday during the week and it was pretty quiet. We tried the buffalo chicken/chiggen wings, steak tacos, and BBQ burger with fries. The wings were so interesting! Not my favorite because of the texture, but the taste and presentation were good. The chicken "bone" is made of sugarcane. For the tacos, the vegetables were fresh and delicious. Service was good! There wasn't a lot going on at the time and our wait person was attentive. The pricing was pretty good for Seattle. Cheapest meal we had the entire time we were there, actually.

Yelp
Wayward Vegan is an absolute godsend as a vegan staple in North Seattle that serves such a huge variety of food at a consistent good quality. Now I am not vegan, just happy to support the cause, so I know how the non-vegan version of dishes should be as a comparison but never expect the vegan versions to be exactly the same because they're working with different materials. However I will say I've seen vegan dishes blow me away being just as good if not better than the non-vegan versions and sometimes you'd be hard pressed to tell a difference though that's not really as important as just making something taste really good in my opinion. At Wayward everything on the menu will satisfy. I've had nothing bad and I've had a few greats but most of the time you'll get something in the middle that scratches the itch but you know could be better. That's OK, their menu is huge and its an awesome one-stop shop for all your cravings as a vegan or someone just looking for a bite to eat. Orange Chicken 2/5 - Didn't quite have that citrusy zing and fried breading crunch I want from this dish. Popcorn Chicken 3/5 - Definitely hits the popcorn chicken spot but mine was underseasoned and wished it was crispier. Philly Cheesesteak Dip 4/5 - Actually really good especially the au jus dip which has a strong thyme note that's not bad. Mac N Cheese 4/5 - Really solid. Drumsticks (Buffalo or Sweet Chili) 3/5 - Meat texture is just not it, very dry and not very flavorful. Arnold Palmer 4/5 - Really tasty arnold palmer actually, well balanced!

Yelp
My immediate first thought when i entered this spot was that it is prestine! Like as soon as you walk inside you feel how clean the environment is from the floors to the table. Even my silverware and glasses were spotless. The immediate relief entering this environment just brings me so much joy. My server Yureli was incredible! She is the epitome of stellar customer service. Her thoughtfulness cheer and consideration is single-handedly the reason why I can't wait to come back to visit. I am not sure if they are a minority owned business but it was so refreshing seeing so many Hispanic and Latino people inside of the space. This is especially critical, considering all of the stereotypes associated with veganism. Furthermore, they all had exceptional customer service and should all be recognized for such. Now for the part that I'm sure you all have been waiting for. Let me just start off by saying for starters I stumbled across this place on HappyCow and from the moment I tried them. This was all I ate for the remainder of my vacation. their menu is packed with a plethora of options from breakfast, which is served until 3 PM to lunch, which includes sandwiches and wraps and dinner which begins at 3 PM their wide variety allows them to have something for anyone. I have listed the items to below that I have the chance to try with a small rating and parentheses Pancake combo (9.5 / 10) Side Caesar salad (8/10) Fiesta crunch wrap (9/10) BBQ burger (7.6 /10) Possible drawbacks: - lt was honestly so cold (as someone who is never cold) it felt like I was practically eating outside. I attribute it to the building style. - it is just a tablet expensive which is to be expected with vegan options. But what one might consider is less entrées and more appetizers and or a happy hour.

Yelp
Wow! Was blown away by this place. This is why I love visiting Seattle, so many amazing vegan spots. When I was not a vegan in the past, I used to order nachos from Alberto's/Alertos/Sabrosada in OC, Ca. Obviously, I haven't had those in a long time as a vegan, but this place has a great plant based dupe. So delicious. I brought home leftovers and I couldn't stop thinking about them so I had to finish them later on in the evening. The non vegans who joined me were equally impressed and talking about door dashing more the next night. Service was great, fast, employees super nice. Restaurant has open natural vibe with upstairs & downstairs seating. They serve alcohol as well & have happy hour. Will definitely add this one to my stop list for my next visit.

Yelp
I've been to Wayward a variety of times, even before they moved & before they recently (ish) changed management/owners. I intentionally tried them again because they were offering a $10 off promo. I was unable to use that though, because my total before tax was under $30. Regardless, I probably won't go back. The food was OK, compared to how good it used to be. The potato vegetable mix was under roasted & soggy onions are never a good vibe. The gravy is definitely different and had a slight artificial taste to it, which wasn't appreciated. The biscuit was fine. And the "eggs" were just cooked from a package or box or whatever. Darn. I really had hoped Seattle could hold onto one of its vegan restaurants, but now I'm second guessing that.

Yelp
They have a lot of options in the menu. A lot of choices for vegan chicken, egg and sausages. Nice, clean restaurant. The food tasted decent. They have parking behind the restaurant, which is great.

Yelp
Came here at the behest of my friend who is vegan. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the place is and how good the food is. Put in an order for take which took about 10 minutes. So, what was in the bag - "Hot Hunny Drumsticks" - "wings", celery, side of ranch. A little chewy, not hot which is sort of deceptive but good, sweet flavor. Along with that was the "Mac Daddy burger" - two patties, house sauce, lettuce, pickle, onion, and "cheeze". I was thoroughly impressed with this burger. It doesn't fully taste like a burger-burger, but it had a great grilled flavor, and the sauce added to that. It was also a decent size (which I appreciate given its price), but really, some burger spots the patty is disappointingly small or is more fixins than burger. The menu here is huge, with many options including breakfast and near me so I could see giving it another go here.

Yelp
Wayward Vegan had been closed for dine-in for nearly three years and I haven't had the heart to visit unless it was to eat there since visiting Seattle. Finally their dining room has reopened and it was worth the wait. This is one of the BEST vegan restaurants in town and one where anyone can really enjoy, especially if they like some comfort food. From classic brunch items to burgers, this place really has it all. My partner and I split the 3-stack Pancakes special with vegan sausage and egg, and he got the California Crunch Wrap with them fries. I selected the choc chip pancakes and they were so chocolatey and fluffy that it was hard to finish! Generous portions all around and worth sharing. The vegan sausage wasn't anything exciting but everything else was top notch. The fries... we MUST talk about the spuds. Some of the best I've had. Get a basket if your meal doesn't already come with a batch. The wrap itself was massive and delicious too. If you're able to get a seat on the top floor, definitely do so. The views from above are nice to people watch while enjoying your food. I am ready to come back here whenever because they are just so good. Definitely visit if you're in town.

Yelp
Visiting Seattle for the first time & y'know I just had to find a good vegan spot for eats. The atmosphere was ... I dunno; I guess the music that was playing was a bit unusual. At least my server was pretty pleasant, although I don't recall her giving her name. I ordered the Pesto Chiggen Fettuccine Alfredo for dinner & the Meat Lovers to take home for tomorrow. The Alfedo tasted good. I'll update my review after I taste the Meat Lovers tomorrow. I also got the strawberry lemonade. Whoo hoo! That's the best lemonade I've had in a while! Worth coming back just for that! Update... ...the Meat Lovers was dee-lish! My word! The gravy alone could've been a meal all by itself. Best gravy ever! Mashed potatoes tasted good all by itself. Heck, everything could've been eaten separately; so imagine all those wonderful, perfectly seasoned flavors all together!! Yep, changing to 5 stars! I wish they had a restaurant in my neck of the woods. I want more!

Yelp
The burger meal was great. We got a chimichurri burger. It had a ton of veggies and the chimichurri was seasoned well. The cream cheese balanced well. They offered 3 options for the side salad, which turned out to be a substantial size. We chose the berry side salad with walnuts, blueberries, strawberries, and a creamy dressing. The loaded fries were the right size for a small meal. The fries themselves were perfectly crispy and the cheese sauce was a good consistency. The meat bits were crispy and seasoned well. The one dish I didn't like was the chiggen and waffles (chicken and waffles). The waffle was just very tough and hard to chew. The chicken filet itself was good, but the waffle ruined it. I would not recommend ordering any waffle dishes here. Park at the park and ride across the street. Keep in mind this is a cashless restaurant. Restrooms are single stall. Happy to support a vegan business and would come back for a burger / sandwich combo.

Yelp
We came here bright and early on a Saturday morning. We ordered the chicken and waffles, chicken-fried steak with gravy, and the huevos rancheros. Everyone enjoyed the food that we ordered. The chicken and waffles were good but a little on the drier side. The huevos rancheros was also good but it did not taste like the standard huevos rancheros as the bottom was like a crispy tostada. The eggs we found out are made out of mung beans, although they really tasted like eggs. The gravy on the steak tasted like real gravy. Overall we were very impressed and can see why they have won so many awards. And especially with such a big menu, if we lived nearby, we would be coming here more often. Awesome vegan spot.

Yelp
I absolutely love Wayward! In my opinion, Wayward is one of the best vegan restaurants in Seattle! My wife and I are both vegetarian and really enjoy the restaurant. The atmosphere is very casual and laid back. The staff is really nice and friendly and they provide good service. The food is really good. I had a waffle and the Albuquerque crunch wrap. They were both cooked to perfection, fresh, and delicious. They had an amazing taste and didn't even taste vegan. They also gave some alcoholic beverages available as well. I highly recommend wayward if you are vegetarian or vegan or just looking to try plant based food. They are absolutely delicious and worth the visit! We are repeat customers for a reason!

Yelp
Great vegan spot with an extensive menu. They have breakfast/brunch, lunch, dinner, and comfort foods. They also have an extensive drink (NA and alcoholic) They serve breakfast until 3pm which is awesome. I had the sunrise omelette. The eggs were very good (just eggs) but I wasn't a fan of the vegan cheese used. The potatoes were awesome. Great, friendly service. I will definitely be back to try more items!

Yelp
We went there for breakfast. The waffle was good, everything else was underwhelming. Even the coffee and tea were not good and overall expensive for the quality.

Yelp
Spousie and I love-love an all vegan spot, frfr. The menu has changed from our last visit and now has more of the vegan diner vibe the old(er) incarnations had. The music being played was even a (very safe, generic, AOR, suburban) 50s-60s diner playlist. My spouse and I are super thrilled of the menu additions and ordered some breakfast entrees. As is always the case, in every incarnation, every time we've been, the food was incredible. The service was friendly and prompt even while the place was nearly full! Not that much could dissuade me from returning as I love this spot, and we will be returning and I cannot wait until we do :)

Yelp
I loved all the food. I also had a really fun time recommend the kids French toast with the sausage. This review came from my granddaughter.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything is vegan here and very tasty! I love the French toast with fresh strawberries!!

Bela H.

Yelp
Really good food!! I'm not Vegan but my best friend is and so I suggested we just go to a Vegan place since I don't have any restrictions but it was really really good. The service was fast and they were really nice and helped to recommend some food to me. I liked the chimichurri burger it was something new to me and the texture almost resembled meat and overall the taste was great!

Ben W.

Yelp
Enthusiastically dropped by on a recent trip and while the servers kindness was plentiful, the food was deeply disappointing. Despite a generous serving of sides on both plates we ordered (JUST brand vegan egg + potatoes) the two mains beside them were less than "meh". Chilaquiles sauce lacked punch (and despite being pictured with Soyrizo, it arrived with none) and the chicken fried steak lacked flavor, tasted like oil from the breading but the gravy arrived cold, and more unforgivable - severely under-seasoned. Needed salt, and additional umami from whatever they are using to flavor it. Couldn't even find satisfaction with their coffee and juice.. baffled by the acclaim but maybe we ordered all the wrong things and caught them on a bad day. Tons of exciting ALL vegan options but from what I previewed, it couldn't see myself going out of my way to give the restaurant a second chance.

Yelp
It's been a very long time since I've been here and not sure what my problem is. Brought a new vegan here and she was ecstatic to have an omelette. Service was great from the minute we entered, attentive and super friendly. I had the Reuben (tough call between that and the sunshine wrap) but I'm so glad I did. The fries were extra crunchy and the sandwich was beyond. Creamy, sauerkraut -laden and exactly what I wanted. The restaurant was clean and upstairs where we sat was chill and comfy.

Yelp
The food was spectacular and the service was pretty good. We plan to come back for sure Here's an image of our food

Yelp
Time for a much-needed update. This place is fantastic. I arrived around 9:45am for breakfast on a Sunday. The place was fairly full but there were a couple empty spots to sit. I ordered the Hillbilly Omelet ($18.25), which coked with hash browns, soyrizo, grilled pepper, onions, and gravy, with cheddar sauce and a side of home fries. I also added some broccoli ($1) for some greens. The dish came out in about 10 minutes. The portion was massive. You get a huge omelet (made with JUST Egg), wrapped with the aforementioned fillings, and home fries with some more grilled onions and peppers. The omelet was nice and moist, and stuffed with wonderful textures and flavours that go very well together. Perhaps the best vegan omelet I've had. Sensational. Rather spendy, but you get what you pay for. And service is top-notch. I will definitely be coming back here on subsequent visits to Seattle. Highest recommendation for vegan breakfast.

G G.

Yelp
Haven't been here for a couple of years. Service was awesome. The food was very bland. Ordered the Infamous chiggen dish and pesto chiggen Alfredo. Both dishes lacked flavor. The pasta was overcooked. The restaurant smelled like the gas or propane they must use in their kitchen. Not enough pesto or Basil or garlic. Portions were ample. The salad was perfect.

Yelp
Javi was excellent with attentive service and recommendations! (try the meat love!). Will keep this as our favorite vegan place in seattle!!

Yelp
3/10/25 3:45pm I rarely leave 1 star reviews but the lack of service was so bad we had to leave. It was just my friend and I, the restaurant was otherwise empty. The waitress handed us the menus and less than a minute later, before we could even get a chance to look at them asked us if we were ready to order, of course we were not. In the meantime a guy comes into the restaurant and takes a nearby table behind us. Five minutes later and we were more than ready to order, but we could not seem to catch her eye, she seemed preoccupied with who knows what. Finally she starts walking over, but she goes to the guy instead to take his order. Then, without looking in our direction walks away. By now it's been 7-8 minutes. My friend starts waving her arms trying to get this waitresses attention, but alas. It appeared as though she started stocking the refrigerator and completely forgot about us. It was utterly bizarre to say the least. We were too put off to go up to her and say something, so after 10 minutes we finally left. Even though we were looking forward to trying this place, there was no way we were going to give these people our money and ended up going to the restaurant next door. Never again will we step foot in this place. In reading some of the other 1 star reviews it looks like we were probably spared. I would give 0 stars if it were an option.

Yelp
I usually get their food delivered since they're not super close to me, and every time it just hits the spot. I always get breakfast food, and it's just the perfect diner style breakfast. Their omelette is fantastic, and the pancakes with berry compote are so delish. Always huge portion sizes, so plenty of leftovers. It's so nice to have a vegan breakfast option in town with a wide selection!

Yelp
It was my first time visiting Seattle Washington this weekend and my partner and I craved for vegan breakfast! We found this restaurant on HappyCow. I am absolutely mindblown by their dishes. We had the HillBilly omelette and the Waffle Chicken. Both blew my mind. I look forward to come back. Our waiter was a woman who have us wonderful recommendations! The drinks were delicious too. I recommend their coffee and iced matcha! The restaurant was clean, spacious, and peaceful. Great for dates, brunch, and family outings. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Such a lovely vegan cafe with amazing brunch options! Although I have a fair share of vegan options available to me in the Bay Area, it was refreshing to see a cafe with so many unique and interesting choices on the brunch menu. I loved how the menu had a multicultural flair and boasted a plethora of flavor profiles. The drinks also looked amazing! I tried a sip of my friend's matcha latte, and it was so refreshing, creamy, and smooth! I got the chocolate chip French toast combo with vegan scrambled eggs and tempeh bacon. The portion was so hearty and generous, and the meal was super delicious! Our server was very helpful and great to talk to! I would love to come here again.

Yelp
Aware this spot has come under new ownership and the menu has been redone (reduced). Came for brunch on a Saturday. -Biscuit with Fruit Compote ($11.50): Savory Herb Biscuit, nicely grilled. Definitely served with Jam, not "compote" (a nice huckleberry one). Also served with syrup and butter. It really needs to be renamed into just, "Biscuit and Jam". Also a bit steeply priced for a single biscuit. -Good Morning Crunch Wrap ($14.75): Savory and delicious. -Tots in a Blanket Burrito ($14.75): Stick to your bones, greasy, amazing. Pros: The food was actually really good. Whatever they used for their "eggs" was tasty, well textured. and on point. Great portions. Cons: The food took a while to come out and the service was very messy. The staff member helping us out seemed new / didn't know the menu (was confused when I asked for a menu item). They forgot a couple of our items too. Given, they did just re-open and understand some kinks need to be worked out.

Yelp
I finally got the chance to check out The Wayward Vegan after hearing such great things about this place. Let me say that I was seriously impressed by how amazing both the food and service were! There is plenty of seating in a cute cafe style setting. I ordered the mushroom omelet and my boyfriend got the hillbilly omelet, both were absolutely delicious. We also both shared their hot hunny drumsticks which were the best vegan drumsticks I've ever had! I can't wait to come back and try out even more of their dishes.

Yelp
The food was perfect! Service was great, our server was professional and friendly and food came out in a timely manner! The ambience was nice, my one and only complaint is that there was no air conditioning when it was 90 degree weather outside but I will not subtract score for that. The overall experience was great!
google avatar

Angelica K.

Yelp
Happy they're back open. Smaller menu makes decision making easier. Still has great food. The only thing I wish they stayed what burger patties they used. I couldn't tell if it was beyond or sweet earth. I'm not a huge fan of beyond but nevertheless it was still super tasty. I also got the hot hunny wings and they were so good.

Yelp
Although I'm usually a carnivore, I couldn't help but notice how many people with amazing skin and vitality follow a raw food or vegan diet. Intrigued, I decided to give The Wayward Vegan a try, and I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I stepped in. The warm greeting and positive energy of the restaurant made me feel right at home. The staff, including my waiter, were incredibly friendly and attentive. The ambiance was enhanced by the nice music playing in the background. I opted for the CA Dreamin Crunch wrap, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors and textures were perfectly balanced, and it left me feeling satisfied and nourished. The Wayward Vegan has given me the confidence that I could make the shift towards a vegan lifestyle, knowing that I won't be compromising on taste or satisfaction. This hidden gem of a location has won me over. If you're on the lookout for delicious vegan food, I highly recommend giving The Wayward Vegan a try. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I found the fake chicken soggy and their brownie to be genuinely the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. Their savory meals are mid (not a lot for the price), but that brownie really broke me. Their staff was super sweet, and the ambience and space itself was very clean.

Teresa M.

Yelp
hands down the best vegan food I've ever had! javi was fantastic waiter with great hospitality. They treated us to a dessert after our meal! food was absolutely amazing! I can definitely see why wayward has been chosen best restaurant in the PNW for two consecutive years! anytime we come to visit Seattle this will definitely be somewhere we eat daily!

Yelp
I had an okay experience here at The Wayward. Service was not the best. The waiter Milton wouldn't make me an iced coffee and said they didn't have ice. I ordered an Arnold Palmer instead which came with ice... so it's safe to say he just didn't want to make an iced coffee for me. He also never refilled drinks. The food and sauces were good but very heavy. The chicken inside my Crunchwrap could have been prepared better. I think I'll try them again in the future, but will try different dishes, but overall, this visit was disappointing.

Yelp
2nd time back and the food did not disappoint. They had reggae jams in the background. The vibe was amazing

Yelp
This used to be my favorite restaurant in Seattle. New management really hiked up the prices, and has taken the fun out of the vegan diner experience. It used to be a once a month outing for me, but I have not been there since August of 2023. Where a breakfast, coffee($1.00 upcharge for milk), and tip cost about $25.00. Food is still good. If you don't mind shelling out 20+ for diner food, then I'd recommend, but I have probably eaten my last meal there unless something changes.

Yelp
Best vegan cafe I have ever been to. Everything is delicious, the staff is very friendly and it's very cute inside.

Yelp
Service: Excellent, our server was always on top of checking in, water refills, etc. Ambiance: Happy frolicking animals play constantly on a TV screen, the place was quite packed during weekend lunch. Food: In general, faux meat and egg replacements reign here. There is very very few dishes that emphasize a completely whole foods plant based dish. This is, after all, more like a comfort style food place. Would be a good place to take people transitioning to the diet, or just veg curious. California Dreaming crunch wrap: This one sadly missed the mark for us. It was fairly bland, dry, and one note. It was also served with a lot of fries, where a salad or side or roasted veggies would have helped balanced out the meal. 2/5 Good morning crunch wrap: This has a nice blend of flavor and textures! It does have faux sausage in here, but not too pronounced. Served with diced potatoes. 4/5

Yelp
Let me start by saying I appreciate that this vegan diner exists. I wish there were more places in Seattle that offered an exclusively vegan or even vegetarian menu. That being said, I think those who will love Wayward most are those who miss the meat. Practically every dish is a take on a meaty classic like chicken & waffles or bbq drumsticks or country fried steak. If you're in the mood for an actual vegetable, well, there are scant few options here. Until recently, I'd last been in a handful of years ago and remember being unimpressed by the bland breakfast (which, if I recall, involved biscuits and gravy). Finding ourselves here once again for a friend's birthday brunch, I was looking forward to giving them another try. This time around I opted for a lunch option with their Albuquerque Crunch Wrap (crunchy tostada, popcorn chiggen, chipotle ranch, lettuce, black beans, cheeze sauce in a flour tortilla) with fries. The fries were really good. The wrap was fine. Portions are substantial and I took half of my wrap home with me. Service was sort of weird. Our server was really nice when he came to take our order but then never came back to check on us after we got our food, nor did anyone offer refills on waters or coffees. Oh, and if you're sitting at the table by the stairs, beware of water coming over the edge from the busing station up above. Also super weird that none of the three workers who became aware of the small waterfall cascading onto me ever apologized for the mishap or brought me extra napkins for my wet head. Bottom line, if you love heavy comfort foods and crave veganized meat-centric dishes, then Wayward is your spot. If you're looking for something that doesn't include a fake meat, you're best off looking elsewhere.

Yelp
I came here two days in a row, and both times, it was the highlight of my day. The waiters are tall, dark, and handsome. They pour me coffee and feed me anything off of the menu I desire. On the first day, I did the Infamous Bowl. It was hearty and just a little bit more than I could take. I still finished every last bite just for the taste. I was Thanksgiving full, where I had to take breathers to keep my stomach from cramping. The second day, I ordered a Reuben. They brought me a chicken burger thing, but I knew I would love it just as much... so I scarfed that baby down and took home those beautiful sweet potato fries. Crisp on the outside. Moist on the inside. It's definitely as good as Plum Bistro. Expect to spend $20/entree.

Yelp
First time in and the vibes were great! Modern decor, friendly staff, and tasty food. The coffee is strong, and no sweetener was offered, but it's good on its own or with the dairy-free milk. The matcha was great (even though I'm used to homemade ones with vanilla, it was smooth and not bitter at all), and the entrees were good but could have used some salt/pepper. The Hillbilly Omelette does have a bit of spice but nothing over the top, and the Tots In A Blanket Burrito is very filling! The reason for the less-than-perfect rating is because of the lack of salt/pepper/sweetener, and that we went fairly long without getting checked in on or our drinks refreshed. Overall, an awesome experience and we plan on going back to try out more of the menu!

Yelp
Started with a pretty standard appetizer, fried tofu with a dipping sauce. The dipping sauce makes or breaks the dish; The Wayward Vegan nailed it.. I am not big on mayonnaise, but their vegan rendition was very good and worked well with the tofu. I had the ginger tofu lettuce wrap, probably the best lettuce wrap I have ever had. Why? Probably the marinated tofu which was flavorful and stood up well on its own, not needing the other ingredients to give the dish its taste. Both of my dining companions ordered the Albuquerque Crunch Wrap which unfortunately was a not enjoyed. Personally I have never failed to be disappointed by breaded dishes which always seem to dominated by the breading, true again with what the Wayward Vegan served. Breading with very little (vegan) chicken. Our server was very attentive, food arrived in a timely manner and drink glasses were kept full. I would certainly go back, dragging my companions if need be!

Yelp
*Delivery Lunch I'm not vegan but I love having lots of great vegan options. Like most people, I've been trying to limit my intake of meat each week and Wayward cafe has a lot of really tasty options. It's not just grain bowls or salads but they help to satisfy those cravings you get. I got the popcorn chicken Crunchwrap with fries and my wife got an order of the stuffed hash browns. The Crunchwrap was great, good flavors, great textures, the "chicken" was crispy and chewy. I wouldn't say it tasted like chicken but it felt like bits of chicken. There was a little too much "cheese" sauce and that overpowered some of the bites. Fries were solid, the chipotle ranch sauce was fine but not my thing. The stuffed hash browns are everything you want them to be.

Yelp
*Currently open for takeout and delivery, Friday through Tuesday 9am-9pm! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day - a true diner! Prices were a bit steep but the portions were hearty. My friend and I enjoyed our dinner at Ravenna park. - The Rochester: $13.50: the mac 'n' cheese was standardly good with a salsa that bordered on too sweet. Onion was nice and crispy, chorizo patty was rich and salty, and the buttery toast was worth the calories. - Crunch Wrap Supreme Master: $14: surprisingly lackluster but ultimately satisfying. Nothing popped and it was the same rich, salty chorizo as in the Rochester. The ingredient distribution was also uneven, with some bites being just lettuce. What I tried today didn't really knock it out of the park, but they have a large menu full of creative options that I want to keep exploring!

Yelp
This place was amazing unfortunately, it is not open for dine in. But the takeout was tasty. We ordered the waffle, the tater tot burrito thing, and the good morning Crunchwrap. It was all tasty! BUT it's a lot of food. So don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach like I did I ate the whole waffle (because I had to redeem myself from a terrible waffle I had two days ago at a place I will not mention but is also in Seattle ) and I had 2/3 of the tater tot burrito thing (not because I was still hungry, but because I'm phat ). One order of food can serve two people. So come hungry and plan wisely! The photos aren't great (probably because it was takeout) but don't be fooled. The flavor was all there.

Yelp
So I didn't wanna say it but after reopening under new ownership the vegan food at Wayward is better than ever. I loved old Wayward for dishing out diner-quality vegan breakfast, but new Wayward makes leveled up vegan breakfast and it's delicious. The menu is noticeably smaller, but honestly it needed to be trimmed down to raise the quality. The food tastes less oil laden and cooked with more care. No more piles of steamed kale and greasy messes. In fact, the plating is actually beautiful with nice pops of color. I still would like to see more actual vegetables on the menu, but adding veggies to the home fries was a nice touch. New Wayward's new staff are very different from the granola moon children that used to work there. They are very business-like and here to do their jobs. I'd like to see a little more warmth from them but hey, I get it. We all don't love our jobs. The ambiance did take a hit with the new owners. Gone are the quirky and cute plates on the wall with hand painted animals. In fact, there's barely anything on the walls at all now besides a few tv screens showing screensavers. I'm hopeful they are still just trying to find their style and will add more personality to this experience soon. I'll definitely be be back and am so glad Wayward keeps pushing the bar on vegan fare.
