Westville Chelsea - Review - Chelsea - New York - The Infatuation

"We love Westville. All six locations or whatever they have now. It's a rare breed of restaurant in this town - a well priced, one stop shop that's equally reliable for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. It's healthy when you want it to be, but isn't afraid to get and down and dirty either. It's also one of the best delivery operations that exists in all of Manhattan. Westville East was one of the first reviews to post on this website, and it remains in regular rotation. Chelsea, you lucky dog, congrats on getting your very own Westville location. We're not going to lie - you needed a go-to spot like this in the worst way. Trying to find a reasonable place to grub in a pinch around your 'hood ain't easy. Thankfully, you now have the ultimate utility player. Take full advantage. RESERVE A TABLE WITH RESERVE A TABLE Food Rundown Salads Anything in the realm of veggies, Westville has down to a science. Their salads are big, and you can add and subtract from the salad ingredients without the staff getting pissed about it. Definitely go with chicken over the steak as your protein. Favorites include: Watercress with Arugula, Pears, Peaches & Sweet Roasted Walnuts, Westville Cobb with Grilled Chicken, Bacon, Avocado, and Bleu Cheese, and the Greek Salad over Grilled Bread with Melted Herb Goat Cheese, Olives, Cucumbers, Red Onions and Feta Cheese. Market Westville always has twenty plus options available on their “Market” menu. You can pick four and eat it as your meal if you so please. Favorites include: Brussels Sprouts in Honey Dijon, Sauteed Broccoli with Roasted Peppers, Sweet Potato Fries, and Green Peas with Shallots and Bacon. Grilled Lemon Herb Chicken The perfect mid-week dinner, it's served in a light and tangy sauce with two sides, and is always cooked perfectly. Salmon Teriyaki One of our favorite dishes at Westville, this permanent special is amazing. It's served with salad and one market side, which needs to be the garlic mash. Hamburger/Veggie Burger/Turkey Burger People freak out over both the Veggie and Turkey burgers here. That's a little too healthy for our blood, but we're not surprised they're awesome considering they come out of of the same kitchen that cooks up a moist, juicy, and all around well-executed beef burger. Be prepared to get a little messy. Lemon Pepper Chicken Salad Sandwich We're huge into chicken salad, and find that a lot of places cut corners and pay little attention to the details that make chicken salad either incredible or just average. Not at Westville. This is chicken salad done right, with heavy doses of pepper, onions, celery, and lemon. Egg Scramble Sandwich/Platter Just what the doctor ordered for Saturday morning hangovers. Westville does good things with brunch." - Andrew Steinthal

Westville Review - West Village - New York - The Infatuation

"While many New Yorkers rely on coffee and Pret A Manger to get them through the day, I run on a steady diet of cereal, water, and Westville. Considering the consistent flow of Westville in my bloodstream, it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t complete the trilogy of Westville reviews. The magic that is the Westville family of recipes all started in a West Village space about the size of a small studio apartment. Despite the lack of space, people still line up every weekend for Chronic Brunch. While Westville’s more recent offspring in the East Village and Chelsea feel new and comfortable, the original Westville isn’t as fortunate. While it’s not exactly an ideal dining scenario, it gets the job done, and is one of the best delivery/[perfect_for slug=“serious-take-out-operation”]Serious Take-Out Operations[/perfect_for] in this city. Food Rundown Salads Anything in the realm of veggies, Westville has down to a science. Their salads are big, and you can add and subtract from the salad ingredients without the staff getting pissed about it. Definitely go with chicken over the steak as your protein. Not at Westville. This is chicken salad done right, with heavy doses of pepper, onions, celery, and lemon. Egg Scramble Sandwich/Platter Just what the doctor ordered for Saturday morning hangovers. Westville does good things with brunch. Homemade Oreo Cookie This leaves little to be desired. I always order it because it looks so damn good, but it’s a little too dry. There’s too much chocolate cookie and not enough cream filling. However, it tastes a lot better cold. Take it home and put it in the fridge for an hour. Chocolate Chip Milkshake AWESOME, but apparently not on the menu anymore? What happened? Please bring it back." - Andrew Steinthal

10 Stand-Out Steaks in Unexpected NYC Restaurants | Eater NY

"Local American chain Westville is the epitome of a weeknight dinner spot, there with reasonably priced and vaguely healthy, varied options in a low-key setting. The grilled skirt steak, though tender and flavorful, does not stand out for any sort of unusual treatment or sourcing — it’s the portion size and value that is marked here. For $24, there’s a generous cut of steak served with chimichurri, baked rosemary potatoes, and marinated red onion and arugula salad. This is the steak to order (whether at the restaurant or for delivery) when a last-minute craving calls." - Eater Staff

We went to this spot for brunch since it’s close to our office and had good reviews. To be honest, the food was fine—nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. What really impacted my impression was the overall vibe. The space felt outdated, a bit cold, and there was an off smell that day, which didn’t help. The menu focused on healthy options, which is great in theory, but it felt a bit too limited—I found myself wishing for a few more choices. Pricing was around $20–25 for a main dish, which is pretty standard, but felt a bit steep for a casual weekday lunch. At this point, I don’t see myself going back, and I’d rather explore other spots nearby. That said, if you haven’t been, it might still be worth checking out—just go in with low expectations.

Google
A great place for a meal! My only complaint is that the protein they serve is on the dry side. The salmon I had was particularly overcooked. I tried the chicken cutlet and it was fairly dry (not as dry as the fish however). Despite the dry protein, the amazing veggie dishes certainly make up for it. The pesto mashed potatoes, roasted cauliflower with curry seasoning, and yucca fries were delicious. The drinks are also made well and very refreshing. The service was great and the restaurant was modern and charming.

Google
Always provide the best quality of healthy food, even for the deliveries, honest price and the staffs are always accommodating the requests, lovely services and cozy vibes. Always be the ultimate weekday canteen for us! Tried the fried chicken sandwich today, just yum yum 😋 🤤

I took a client from Supp who is a vegetarian for lunch at Westville | Chelsea, and it was just the perfect decision. Aside from the meeting going well, the space is bright and clean, and the servers are attentive and present. We sat at the bar, so shout out to the bartender, Jess—personable, smiley, and fun! The menu has many options with genuine healthy ingredients, which is not always easy to find in NYC. I picked the soup of the day as a light lunch, and it was really yummy! See you soon :)

Google
This place is AMAZING!!! We had a feast: Chicken Soup (GREAT!), Turkey Chili, Fresh Veggies, Drinks, Dessert. And The Total Bill including Tax was $87! The Staff was so gracious & accommodating. It does get really noisy here on The Weekends, but only because it is packed. Go on Off Hours for a quieter but still amazing meal!

Google
I love that you can combine whatever fresh veggies, proteins, or fruits you’re in the mood for (that they offer), to create your own custom plate. My favorite thing I ordered was the tofu which was either miso or teriyaki (i forget), and the refreshing watermelon and peach salad.

Google
Good no-nonsense food at a very good price point. Some highlights for us - Burger is tasty and doesn't feel overly rich. Makes for a good guilt-free feed. You may want to consider asking for sauce if you like more flavour though. The base Burger was plenty for me however. French fries are cooked perfectly - nice and crispy, very hard to stop eating! Cauliflower with tahini (market veges) was a good compliment to our mains. I'll definitely be back for a casual meal and would recommend for anyone looking for a simple meal to drop by.

Google
Went on a date, we had a reservation at 8pm - we ended up changing it to 8:30pm, it was very easy to change the reservation. Overall, we had a lovely time, the food was delicious, they had a very good selection of beers and drinks.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise to find this place here. I have been a fan of Westville since their flagship restaurant in the village. I came here for brunch and I had the dish with salad and egg. My friend had the waffles. Service was decent and the place is very busy. I saw near the barista and was entertained seeing her create all of her drinks. Since this place is right on 7th avenue, it has that energetic vibe. The food is healthy and decently priced. This hungry vegetarian is happy.

Yelp
Brunch starts at 10 & we arrived a few minutes early. This was a find! Our service was excellent, the food tasted as amazing as it looks. It was a delightful morning for dining al fresco, while the traffic was noisy at times, the live flowers made it seem like you were dining in a garden rather than on a NYC street. I loved the market plate and loved every bite. The roasted sweet potatoes, the street corn, the Brussels sprouts, the watermelon and grilled peaches were so good. While I'd be tempted to try other things on my next visit, I might have to order the market plate too.

Yelp
Please do come here the staff is wonderful!!!! Seriously so genuinely friendly and acccomandating. They have a lot of vegetarian options! I ended up having two small plates - the sautéed tofu and the yucca fries which came with spicy mayo. They were thick cut fries which I appreciated and for a small plate it was very filling I even left two. No complaints and I had to pay for my check early because I was short on time and they accommodated me with that. I also ordered a to go burger at the beginning of my meal for a homeless person I saw down the block but I never found them again afterwards :(. Nice place to come with your friends for lunch or on your lunch break.

Yelp
Came here with a group. Service was very nice and the ambiance was good too. They were pretty busy and still gave us great service and food and drinks came out timely. I had grilled salmon with 2 sides I had the Brussel sprouts and marinated kale. Fish was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious and seasoned well. I would totally go back for a casual meal again.

Yelp
It was my first time here and it was good. Disappointed I was charged extra for sauce rather than the standard ketchup, but overall great food. Service was excellent, the ambiance was nice. I sat outdoors and it was a beautiful day.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant is perfect for dining outside. I ordered a caesar salad with a breaded chicken cutlet and fries on the side. Sadly, I was given a completely different salad. I ate it thinking it was just the restaurant's take on a caesar salad, but I was wrong. The cutlet was very crispy and the fries were good as well. My server ended up giving me the salad on the house, which is greatly appreciated. Now, I have to come back and try the caesar salad. I will say that the carrot cake for dessert is a must. It's so moist and sweet.

Yelp
I recently visited Westville and had the Monte Cristo sandwich, which was okay. Rather than the typical processed deli meat, the sandwich featured actual sliced ham - a nice touch that made the flavor more authentic. The dish came served on regular toast rather than the traditional eggy batter, which was an interesting twist. The tartar tots on the side were a tasty accompaniment. Overall, it was a solid dish. The atmosphere at Westville is casual and welcoming, making it a nice spot for a casual meal. I'd recommend giving it a try, especially if you're in the mood for a creative take on a classic sandwich. 4 out of 5 stars.

Yelp
My dinner last night reminded me that Westville consistently delivers delicious food in a casual setting. It's like an elevated dinner experience, I'm a big fan. We started with some beets and goat cheese, a great veggie starter that was delicious. The beets were warmed up a bit, and the goat cheese tasted fresh. The sweetness from the beets went well with the sharp, herby taste of the cheese. For mains, we got a cobb salad and the steak. The steak temperature was spot on, and the side veggies were delicious. The cobb salad was packed to the brim with all the ingredients, including loads of chicken and bacon. The lemon dill dressing was honestly perfect, both in taste and amount - just enough to flavor the salad without drenching every bite in dressing. All in all, a great experience for casual dining, definitely a good option!

Yelp
Overall 3.5 stars Service: excellent Ambience: bright, white vegetable decor. small restaurant, so good for smaller parties. Good place to take children, families. They do have bar seating. Would recommend a reservation for peak hours. Food - happy hour from 5 to 7 PM with drinks at discount prices. Sangria was OK. Would stick to mixed drinks. - I loved the menu. Especially the focus on the market vegetables, which can be hard to find in the city. There are so many options to choose from and they many options for vegetarians, vegans. Having said that I was underwhelmed with the food. - Teriyaki salmon, overly salted - Garlic mashed potatoes: delicious but standard - artichoke hearts were chewy and not properly cleaned -brussels sprouts and beets: good, but again standard. - vegan burger: came apart and was bland. - dessert: we loved Price: well priced for Chelsea. Total for food, drink, dessert and tip was around $50pp. This would be a great restaurant in suburbia, outskirts of New York City. However, for the area I was underwhelmed for dinner. It is a good option for vegetarians, vegans, lunch takeout. Would try brunch but would not go back for dinner.

Yelp
I always enjoy buying food here as it is good and I feel it is worth the money Iam paying for it. Definitely reccomend going here for the price and flavor. You have to visit in person also.

Yelp
Quick easy meal. Diner, chill vibe but the food was so much better. Music was a little loud, but fit with the vibe of the restaurant

Yelp
I had a wonderful dinner tonight at Westville, Chelsea. I ordered off the special's menu, Oriental Salad, adding salmon, it was amazing. And two of the special veggie sides, grilled asparagus with toasted capers, lemon & thyme and the roasted sweet potatoes with a lime, sour cream drizzle. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Our server was great too! Oh, don't miss out on the Drink specials, either. Tonight's was a spicy margarita for only $9!
google avatar

Yelp
Food 5/10 Below average brunch food, not quite sure what all the hype is about this chain. Maybe it's the "healthy" approach to brunch? Idk. I got the eggs benedict and it was soo heavy. The sweet potato fries were okay. Atmosphere 5/10 Very cramped inside, the white and green color scheme was not it. It felt a little bare inside too. Service 7/10 Was fine.
google avatar

Flora H.

Yelp
I was excited to try Westville and ordered the grilled salmon with vegetables, which I always love, but found it to be just a bit bleh. The salmon was lacking in flavor and was just very forgettable. Perhaps I just ordered poorly, and am open to trying it again.

Yelp
Food is fun and affordable. Great for family dinners The menu has a lot of variety and great options for vegetarians and vegans.

Yelp
Westville Chelsea - new location, now on 88 Seventh Avenue. It still packs a tight dining room but it definitely can seat plenty of people. This place was buzzing on a random Wednesday night. I met a friend for an early dinner, 6:30pm and there were only a few tables left. The menu is the big draw here - organic fare when listed, lots of vegetarian options, and vegan friendly meals. Don't worry carnivores, there's plenty of chicken, beef and pork as well. This is the second or third Westville restaurant I've been to and they are definitely consistent with quality eats. Plating is a different conversation but the food is consistently delicious and I feel less guilty eating out here... Getting my veggies on and in a tasty way. Beets and Goat cheese is one of my favorite market vegetables as are the Yucca fries (hey, I said less guilty... It was this or French fries). Which the fries are generally so good as well. Another favorite: turkey burger plate, fish and chips, and any chicken dish. My friend really likes both salmon entrees. I think she orders it quite often. This visit I had the passion fruit lemonade, very tart but I liked it more as the ice melted. Only comment, tables are always packed too closely here so very easy to eavesdrop unintentionally and thus, less privacy.
google avatar

Karena M.

Yelp
This is a cute little restaurant. It was lively when i entered. There was about one table empty however, the bar had about 5 seats available. I sat at the bar. The bartender was really nice. Greeted me immediately and gave me the menu to scan. They have daily specials and that day was Wednesday Wine Day. So each glass was $8. I had a glass of Procecco. I also ended up ordering the fish sandwich with sweet potato fries. The food did not take long to come out at all. I did not like the fish. It was dry and not hot. I could tell it wasnt fresh out of the fryer. I also wish it had more slaw inside. The sweet potato fries were sweet which i loved. I wish they would of been crisper. The meal wasnt the best but it wasnt the worst. I will be back. Next time I'll try something differently. Maybe a salad. I seen alot of people getting salads from here.

Yelp
Seated us right away - 10 people on. Saturday at 5pm. Good service. Lots of choice. Full bar. $5 veggie chili was amazing!

Yelp
Great food for delivery and location for sitting in. I love this place for healthy eating. We go to order for delivery for ourselves and our kids. I love the market plate as you can pick four vegetables that are healthy and filling. They are super quick!
google avatar

S W.

Yelp
Food was very mediocre, but the drinks were good as were the service and prices. Seating is pretty uncomfortable. If you're into veggies, this place has a lot of selection. Not worth a second trip.

Yelp
Pros Decent food Homey aesthetics Cozy ambiance Variety of simple foods $$$ Friendly staff Conveniently located Daily specials Serves alcohol Pesto mashed potatoes Cons Portions too small Food not fulfilling Closes early

Yelp
A great option for a fast casual healthy meal! I had heard many good things about Westville as a healthy option for food, and am glad I finally got to try it! It is super cute inside, a very simple modern vibe. We were seated right away and service was great. We got sweet potato fries to share, which were well seasoned and yummy. I got the grilled salmon with butternut squash and broccoli. Everything on my plate tasted great! I wish there was a sauce for the salmon because it was just a tad overdone so maybe I would try the other one next time. My friend got the chicken cutlet with brussel sprouts and plantains. The brussel sprouts were good, but the plantains were quite dry. I would love to try the other market sides because they all looked delicious! I finished my whole plate but did not feel overly full which I enjoyed. Will definitely be back!!

L G.

Yelp
Well, we ordered our food to go. Food total was $64 & some change. When we paid, we handed the card machine back to Lillian without selecting a tip. Well, it seems that someone (Lillian) was tipped 20%. We usually don't tip that much on a to go order. When we received our food we were opening it up to inspect and taste, but were told that we can't eat unless it is plated. The mac and cheese was delicious. The chicken tenders were over cooked, dry and tasted like fish. Also as my husband was eating his 4 plate veggies, he found a nickle in the kale. Yes, I said a nickel. Someone planted that in our food. Needless to say we will not be back......
google avatar

Yanina L.

Yelp
Perfect place for brunch , delicious food choices, quite a few vegan options. Great cocktails and nice vibes. Super friendly service
google avatar

Ellen L.

Yelp
I've been to the westville dumbo location, but this was my first time at the Chelsea location. I got the pesto chicken which came with pickled onions, avocado, tomatoes, and greens. All the ingredients tasted fresh, the chicken wasn't super juicy but at least it wasn't dry. The meal was very filling and I especially loved the pickled onions that gave it a nice crunch and flavor. So the reason for three stars is that I felt like the meal itself was overpriced for what it is. The salad wasn't overly delicious and while it was good, I probably wouldn't get this again. Also, when we arrived we put our names down on the wait list and said we're open to bar seating or table seating. After waiting about 20 minutes, we still were never called but saw two open seats at the bar. We asked a different hostess if we could sit at the bar and were immediately seated. I have no idea how much longer we would've had to wait for a seat if we never went up and asked (which I never do since I always assume we'll get seated when it's available)
google avatar

Koriey H.

Yelp
Came in for a quick lunch and I was VERY UNDERWHELMED! The restaurant has this fancy diner ecstatic. AND I love a good diner. I ordered the Tuscan Salad and a side of fries. The most exciting thing about the salad I thought would be the fried halloumi cheese and it turned out to be the most disappointing. Why? Seemed dry and old. The fries were nice, crunchy, and fresh. The host was pleasant and I loved the dress she had on (90's cult classic short cotton dress) However, my server was very inhospitable. Not saying he was mean but gave off that he didn't want to be there or was hoping I was his last table lol. Overall, it was very mehhhhhh. Would I go back...possibly to try out some other things.
google avatar

Robert H.

Yelp
Great place for a casual brunch! We shared a couple of salads and burger and everything was tasty. Nothing fancy but prices were reasonable and service was great.
google avatar

Harley S.

Yelp
Decent place for a simple and relatively healthy brunch, with outdoor seating on 7th Avenue. The "Market Vegetables" provides lots of options for vegetarians. For $18 you get a "platter" with four of them of your choice. None of them are particularly great, but together they make a more than decent meal.

Robynn D.

Yelp
So for anyone who has seen my previous reviews, you know I've become a Westville fan. So when I was in Chelsea last week shopping with a friend, we popped into Westville's location on 7th Ave. Needless to say, the food was as good as the new UWS location! And the staff equally friendly and helpful! Is it something in the water? LOL Or perhaps just great management!
google avatar

Anita J.

Yelp
Great brunch spot - it gets busy so make a reservation if you can! The coffee here is decent. Good options for those with dietary restrictions. Would recommend for a cute brunch in West Village/Chelsea area
google avatar

Vishnu G.

Yelp
This was pretty unremarkable for brunch. I had the southwestern brunch bowl, which tasted just alright. I'd recommend getting reservations to avoid waiting in line for ages.
google avatar

Mary K.

Yelp
Great dinner at Westville last night! Reservations were definitely needed on a cold Friday night if you wanted to sit inside; they have a parklette which I imaging fills up in warmer weather. Their website says parties of 2 are limited to 1 hour; we were there a bit longer and it didn't feel like they were rushing us yet when we were done they cleared the table quickly. The mulled red wine cider was the perfect warm bevy to start with. For some reason we were worried about the portion sizes so my husband and I over-ordered and ended up with too much food but that's ok because everything was delicious :) We started with the Truffle Parm fries and Brussels Sprout poppers (would've been enough food had we only ordered one app). Then we split the crispy chicken with two sides (zucchini and tomatoes, and grilled tofu), and two hot dogs with one side (broccoli rabe with red peppers). Everything was amazing and our server Mitchell was attentive and super friendly!
google avatar

Cassandra W.

Yelp
Dined here with a group of friends and we had a great time! Food was all super yummy, and I felt super healthy after eating all the greens and veggies offered. We got some fries and mac and cheese to share in the beginning. Mac and cheese was YUMMY. I got salmon plate with dijon brussel sprouts (YUM) and yuca fries. I wish they didn't only give 4 yuca fries but whatever. My boyfriend ordered the sherperd's pie and really liked it. For drinks, I got the green tea toddy which was *chef's kiss* - had never tried a toddy before and was super glad that was my first experience! The boys got a bunch of beers. Waiters were funny and we had good service. Would love to come back and try more veggies!
google avatar

Raphael P.

Yelp
Heard a lot about how good the salads are, but went and ordered the steak sandwich and it was amazing. Steak was cooked perfect medium rare and the bread and onion and sauce combo was excellent. Get the truffle fries for a little extra, it's worth it. Food was delicious even through delivery, definitely need to try this place in person. Recommend.
google avatar

Tessie V.

Yelp
Reality, 3.4 I can't believe that the Westville chain is still kicking in NYC. The food is average. Remember when their Mac and cheese took over NYC? This chain is nothing special, they are just the only location in the neighbourhood that service booze early. The food here is fine. It's more like a rest stop for local mums, students, and people on lunch break. The service here is great though. Everyone that works here is very sweet and on top of the ball. They also do a good happy hour.

Lisa Y.

Yelp
We had a lovely meal and our waitress was very gracious. The menu has something for everyone and the market vegetables are all fabulous.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic cob salad!!!!! I was really in the mood for chicken fingers, but decided to try the salad and am beyond satisfied. Wowza.
google avatar

Sejal M.

Yelp
Great food, great drinks, great service, great ambiance. I've been hearing so many people rave about Westville and now it makes perfect sense. Went after a workout and boy did it hit the spot. I got the egg scramble with veggies, half salad, half home fries and gluten free toast. To drink I got the health tea which tasted incredible. They nailed it all. Tasted great and super fresh. You can differentiate the high quality of the foods and ingredients that they use. Our server was so great & accommodating. Not to mention, we were seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon which is hard to come by in the city. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
Westville is some of the best out there. Great menu, great service, so flavorful. Really enjoy this every time I have it
google avatar

Elianny S.

Yelp
We came in for an early dinner and even though this places looks very casual they asked if we had reservations since it was busy. Luckily we were able to sit at the bar. The menu has a variety of main dishes, salads, soups. I ordered the burger with blue cheese and sweet potato fries. My burger was cooked perfectly medium and was very good. I liked the sweet potato fries even though they were somewhat limp. My friend had the tomato soup and said it was very good. Prices are reasonable for the area.

Gloria P.

Yelp
Had a great dinner at westville Chelsea. I love their vegetable plate ..So many excellent choices..Service also really great. I have to say every Westville I've eaten at has such a wonderful staff. WES was beyond helpful And with a smile. Whoever does the hiring of staff gets it!!!!!I highly recommend this restaurant. Love westville . Oh ya! My food was delicious

Yelp
This is the second Westville location I've been to and I keep going back because the options for vegetarians are pretty good. We got the market plate (all the picks tasted fairly good), veggie chili, and quinoa artichoke burger. Tried some of the veggie chili and it was delicious! I wish the portions for the market plate were a bit larger but I guess that's the point of the market plate--you get a little bit of 4 things. Hands down the best items are the DRINKS! They feel so easy to make, like you could make it at home, but something about about them was so perfect, especially the health tea and the green iced drink we got, which they made non-alcoholic for us. So minty and refreshing!

Yelp
Decent food but the table service was so-so. We had reservations for a party of 6 on a Tuesday. A couple of our party were running late but the hostess sat us anyway, which was nice. The highlight of Westville is their huge assortment of market vegetables. You can get just a plate of 3 veggies or entrees that included 2 choices. I ordered the grilled salmon plate with broccoli with garlic and brussels sprouts with honey dijon. The salmon was excellent. I ordered medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. I wasn't impressed with the vegetables, though. The broccoli was pretty bland and the sprouts weren't cooked enough. They looked like they were roasted but were still crunchy and not caramelized at all. So 5 stars for the salmon but 2.5 for the veggies. Everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy their meals. My wife liked her teriyaki salmon and another person said the vegan artichoke and quinoa burger was excellent (it was a special, not the regular vegan burger on the menu). The rest of the party also ordered cocktails (margaritas and palomas) and said there were good. Our service wasn't great. It seemed like we had to wait awhile a few times when we wanted stuff. The restaurant was busy so won't knock them too much. All in all, everyone was happy with their food and prices were good.

Yelp
We came here for Saturday brunch, which was enjoyable. When making the reservation, we had the option for indoors, which we chose, or outside. Inside the seating is fairly nondescript, but all the tables and chairs can be moved around as well as individual sheets of plexiglass on stands so that tables of any size can be separated. However, if you don't mind sitting outside, I think that would be more interesting. Each of us ordered the Argentinian Eggs Benedict, because it sounded so interesting. I have no idea what makes a dish like this Argentinian, maybe it's simply "because they say so," but it was indeed unique. the poached eggs (2) are on top of chorizo, which is then placed on top of hash browns instead of an English muffin. The potatoes can absorb all the juices from the chorizo and the (minimal amount of ) Hollandaise sauce. These were all consumed very quickly, and I'd definitely order them again (and again). Service was more attentive at first but never bad. We were greeted immediately, and we got our first cups of coffee quickly. I was offered milk, but when I asked if half and half was available, I was told it was and I received it. Refills were not automatic, I had to ask for one. I was slightly peeved regarding my reservation. I made the reservation on Open Table, initially for three, indoors, for my second best choice of times because it said indoor seating was not available at the other time. A few hours later, three more friends asked if they could join us, so I tried to modify the reservation. I got a message that said they only take reservations for SMALL parties. I did not question that, I simply attributed it to restaurant size. Once I got there, not only was there ample indoor seating the entire time we were there, there was a table seating 6 behind us which was never filled. So my suggestion is if you want to try to make a reservation for a larger group, call them directly. I still consider this a fun place to have brunch, and I'd certainly return!

Yelp
It's comfort food, a bit pricey for what it is but the portions are large. Biggest problem there was a piece of bacon in the mac and cheese. I ordered the regular Mac and cheese as I don't eat meat. That's a huge problem and they need to be more careful and less careless. Don't put meat in foods that don't have it.

Yelp
This place is incredibly noisy. If you go with someone you like and want to have a conversation, it's quite difficult. I ordered the breaded chicken with broccoli and mushrooms. Everything was well cooked and felt healthy but it was all rather plain. I had to add salt to everything. With all the choices in Manhattan I probably would not bother to return.

Yelp
I went to Westville Chelsea for dinner and ordered the Salmon Teriyaki, which I got with green peas and bacon and seared tofu. The ingredients were high quality and were cooked pretty well. The salmon and tofu could have been more flavorful though and the sauce didn't do that much to improve the dish. That being said, it was a solid dish with ingredients that complemented each other and a solid portion size. For $23, this was a fair deal. The service speed was pretty quick and the staff were very friendly. There is an indoor seating area as well as a nice covered outdoor seating area. Overall, Westville Chelsea is a solid spot for American food with fresh ingredients (both brunch and dinner). Give it a shot if you're in the area.

Yelp
This is the second Westville location I've tried and I really enjoyed it. I came here for a work lunch with a group of 6. They were very accommodating and honored our reservation even though we were a bit late. Our waitress was the sweetest. To eat, I had the crispy vegan quinoa and artichoke burger. It was tasty. The burger "patty" was quite soft, but it didn't feel too mushy like veggie burgers can sometimes be. I loved the fresh avocado on it. The subtle dressing on the arugala side salad was also really good. The pickled onions on the salad were nice and tangy. My friend tried the watermelon lemonade and liked it. She got it without alcohol, but it can also be ordered with prosecco. Definitely a great option for a casual meal.

Yelp
Westville is one of my go-to places in Manhattan. I love the fresh options and the upbeat atmosphere. The staff is friendly and food is fresh. Don't forget to order the health tea, a staple for the winter months!
