One of the best places to have cocktails in Canmore! I’ve been here a few times now with family and friends. The vibes are great, the service is good, and the staff are kind and responsive. Special thanks to Melissa our waitress for being great and taking care of us 😀

Where The Buffalo Roam Saloon is great place! Great beer and great food! I appreciated the location in town too! I loved the selection of drinks they had! For food, I had the chopped chicken salad! It was delicious, the veggies were fresh and chicken was tender! The avocado ranch dressing was tasty and unique!

I'm not sure how long this place has been open but can't believe I haven't been before. I love a beer around the fire pit at the Grizzly Paw next door during shoulder season, but the cocktails at Where The Buffalo Roam Saloon might make me reconsider. We stopped by tonight for a snack and and a cocktail and boy did this place impress. Service was super friendly and the cocktails were perfect. I had the 'Modern Milk' with tequila, coconut balsamic, and I think green chartreuse and absinthe it was superb. My wife had the Cranberry Fizz which was a little more ordinary but still tasty. We had the jalapeno cheddar cornbread and deviled eggs and they were also delicious. Wish we would have stayed for dinner. We'll be back!

Love the patio, and the great selection of food, lots of gf options. The duck wings were awesome, super crispy. The chorizo was good but really rich, better to share, the short rib pasta was hearty, and I had a wagyu burger. Everything was awesome and place has creative cocktails too! Highly recommend

A cafe with a beautiful view and delicious food. I also really liked the drinks 😍 At the height of the season, you will have to stand in line at the table and wait a little longer for the order. But it’s worth it and we’ll definitely come back.

Came here today for the second day in a row on our stay in Canmore. The service is amazing. So are the food and the drinks. Everything is fresh and well prepared, not like somewhere else in town. We will definitely come back another time before we leave.

We came here on a whim with some girlfriends for some bites and we were completely blown away by the food and drinks! Specifically we were blown away by the Drunken squid that we ordered it twice as it was absolutely delicious! The pork smashed dumplings were also very good! Drinks were also great. I really enjoyed the Strange Magic and Mexico at Night!

A great place with amazing food and cocktails. A shame that 2 wait staff seemed completely uninterested in serving, smiling or much else. Otherwise I would’ve given 5 stars. Caters for dietary needs and has great cocktails.

This spot is amazing! It's cozy, moody and feels welcoming the second you walk in the door. It's small, so plan ahead and/or get there early. I had an old fashioned with the steak frites. I've been thinking about the steak and the sauce since I left. Wow. What a special spot in Canmore! Check it out.

Decided to stop by after walking around the area to grab some dinner and got lucky for a table outdoors without reservations. The indoor space looked really cute but I was open to just getting a spot to try their menu after reading some reviews. The outdoor space was actually really nice as it was covered and a nice breeze! As for food I tried the fried cheese, nicoise salad, and short rib pasta. You can't go wrong wit the deep fried cheese and the marina sauce was tasty. The salad was also savory and was a lighter option to the entire meal. Lastly, the short rib pasta to end the meal and it did not disappoint. I was a little worried since I am not the biggest fan of horseradish but it worked well with the flavors and was rich without being too heavy. They also have a nice assortment of cocktails to try to pair well with your meal.

Came here for a drink while in town. 90% full Saturday night. Lots of fun expensive cocktails! I tried the Strange Magic: 7/10. Very strong alcohol taste. Small portion. About what you would expect for a tourist town and a nice cocktail. $16. Brother tried the Hot Apple Cider. It tasted as expected if you like apple cider. Staff were kind enough not to push food but also check in on us regularly.

Our first stop in downtown Canmore. Stunning views 360°. We ate outside and then did also go inside at the bar and loved the decor and the fun 80s music! Serious vibes, and delicious cocktails appetizers, and meal. Everyone was extremely friendly and hard-working. I would absolutely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for good drinks and food! it was casual and perfect way to ease into my trip to Canmore/Banff.

So good we came here twice during our trip. This is by far the best food and drinks we had while in Canmore. I tried 4 different cocktails + my friends tried different ones and all were great. My fave was The Night Owl, which is their take on the espresso martini. So so good. Food was also delish - we tried 8 or so different dishes (served tapas style). The duck wings were probably my fave. My friends really liked the calamari. Service was friendly and it has a very homey vibe. This is a must in Canmore if you like good cocktails and food, with a casual (but more upscale than some of the other spots in Canmore) vibe.

Absolutely delicious, unique craft cocktails with a delicious menu. An eclectic, inviting, vintage atmosphere - the perfect romantic spot for a date. Everything was incredible. Amazing, quick service. I highly, highly recommend.

We enjoyed some delicious eats at Where the Buffalo Roam. I ordered the soup of the day, Garlic and dill soup and it was so hearty and tasty, the dill freshness really stood out. The Wagyu burger was delicious and you also need to try the duck wings, meaty and tasty and not overcooked or dry. Protip! Get the "Thai One On" cocktail made with Thai chili, lemongrass, ginger, vodka, lime and aquafaba - it was delicious!

We stopped by for a late lunch after a long day of biking in Banff. The menu was small but delicious. I really enjoyed my short rib pasta and my family enjoyed their burgers. I didn't try any cocktails but they looked great too. Would definitely recommend when in Canmore!

Stumbled upon this restaurant impromtply for dinner and it was an excellent experience! A plate of art that tasted amazing, friendly service that's also dog friendly and the price isn't crazy high as it is in Banff. Also has a great selection of cocktails! I ordered the beef short rib pasta, which was so pretty! The beef was tender, the pasta was buttery and the cherry tomatoes and green garnish gives it some colour! The cheesecake was also delish. The presentation was in a terranium cup with deconstructed cheesecake with crumble pieces at the bottom, layered with cream cheese, whipped tonic and some blackberries on top. Would recommend if you're in the area! Heads up that they serve until 9:45pm and don't allow minors in after 6pm

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. There were no reservations available and we waited around 45 minutes to be seated. It was ok since we could walk around the town, but if we were short on time, dinner here definitely wouldn't have worked out. The meal started out on a high with the hummus dish and chimichurri potato dish. We loved both so much since the flavors were unique and were surprisingly very good. The short rib pasta and steak frites were ok, nothing to rave about. I was a little disappointed since they were the main dishes and people had good reviews. The most disappointing was the calamari. As an appetizer, we were confused about why it came out last and quite a while after everything else had been served. I didn't enjoy the strong curry flavor in the breading of the calamari. Overall I was really excited in the beginning. I think some of their dishes have a lot of potential, but felt like I was let down throughout the meal. I would still recommend people to come check it out, but would suggest coming early to avoid dinner rush!

A surprise stumble on a rainy Monday due to another restaurant closure. So so glad we came here to meet Ginger, our wonderful, knowledgeable, and super friendly server. The drinks are original! We LOVE the Teapot Vodka (earl grey infused vodka), we ordered it twice! Another fav was the Thai One On (strong kaffir leaf which we loved!) Food? We thoroughly liked every single dishes but of course there are favorites... cream of mushrooms, steak frites, and grilled cauliflowers!! Ahh maybe we'll make another visit before we end our trip?

A quirky, quaint cocktail bar and restaurant in Canmore. We visited the spot on a recommendation from our Banff tour guide, and it certainly is a must visit if you're staying in Canmore. The calamari hit different. The beet salad was delicious (and I'm not usually a beet person). The short rib pasta was my favorite entree of the two that we ordered, and the curry was solid, but I was hoping for a little more curry flavor. The staff was very friendly and attentive. It's a little on the pricey side but not breaking the bank. I will definitely be going back the next time I'm in Banff! 9/10

Visited this place while in Calgary with limited expectations but wow were we blown away. The food is top notch and so fresh. The tomatoes and burrata are some of the best I've ever had. The cocktails are premier and extremely creative. The ambiance was also fantastic and the presentation for each dish was different. Such a unique dinner experience and highly recommend!

We went here for dinner with friends and food was absolutely delicious. Bryce our server was very warm and friendly. Our friends brought their dog and place was able to accommodate us out in the patio. I highly recommend this place.

Second time around and it did not disappoint. They make craft cocktails and have a beautiful selection of handmade drinks. We got the hummus plate again-delicious. The beef pasta dish was perfect to share and also amazing. Great service-we went at 4:30 pm before dinner rush and had a great meal.

Wish I could've spent more time here but thoroughly enjoyed myself here. The cocktails offered are unique and creative. The atmosphere here was awesome with interesting decor. The duck wings, baos and fried cheese were great. I wouldn't recommend coming here for dinner as it is pricey for the servings but the quality here is good. Great for a stop in before dinner for some drinks and smalls.

Hands down, BEST food and drink we had in town or surrounding areas. The drinks are strong and delicious (but also a ton of virgin or low-alcohol options!) The food is so unique and everything is prepared perfectly. I see some reviews complaining of the price. The way I see it, you can pay for the best food in the area or you can pay almost as much for mediocre or bad food. Good food costs money to make. Highly recommend the steak frites!!!

We went in for afternoon snacks. It was a nice surprise to find such pleasant and distinct flavors. Recommend the calamari and cauliflower. Duck wings are bit dry and bit too sweet for our taste.

This was a fantastic meal, and I was there with my Mother in Law. We went during mid covid, the restaurant did a great job of making the room a safe space for the patrons. The gin option was excellent and even more importantly, so was their tonic selection. I ordered the burger and really enjoyed it. Wonderfully juicy and flavorful, one of the best burgers I have had in Canmore. Service was also excellent. I called in to check availability and they were super busy, yet they made room for our party of 3. Great food, service, gin and tonics. Ill be back soon.

My husband and I enjoyed their Meat and Cheese Artisan Bread tray(Charcuterie Board) and scrumptious Cream Cheese Garlic bread. We had just enough room for Sticky Toffee Pudding. You'll want to kick your plate clean. If you do, no judgment from the friendly staff!

Great services and food. The drinks are very unique and flavorful. A must place to eat and/or drink while in Canmore.

The service has always been good everytime we come here. Generally they are quite busy however they do a good job at turning tables fast. The cocktail menu is SO awesome. We have had some of the best cocktails here and they have their own take on them. They even make a creative ceaser which I recommend trying on your Sunday fun day. The brunch and lunch is quite good. On sundays they have brunch until 2pm which is nice if you are a late goer like me. Some of their dishes lack some flavour however that's an easy fix. If you are just strolling dt Canmore I recommend you check this place out.

What can I say.. Came here on a Friday and it was amazing! I came with my Mom, my Grandma and my Aunt and there was something each of us liked. To drink my Mom and aunt got wine and I ordered the blackberry mojito. They were out of blackberries so she said instead she could make it with raspberries and it was amazing! My grandma got the white Sangria and it was delicious. She looked on the board and said it is $9 instead of $11 because the sign says so and the owner told us that's from yesterday but she still honoured it because the sign said it which was great! We got delicious deviled eggs to start and for our main meals my mom got duck crepes, I got the roasted red pepper and carrot soup with bread, my grandma got sweet Chili and my aunt got pulled pork sandwich ! Wonderful experience :)

We ordered basically everything on the menu, and it was all delicious. The short rib pasta, steak frites, bao buns, and warm potato salad were all 11/10. The cocktails are craft made and taste great. And the team is friendly. If you're in Canmore, don't miss this.

We absolutely loved this place! We happened to randomly walk by and decided to stop in for dinner and then ended up coming back for a second time during our trip because we loved it so much!! The elote, bao buns, short rib pasta, and steak frites, and soup were all equally delicious 10/10. If I had to choose one thing it would probably be the short rib pasta. We also enjoyed the old fashioned. The vibe was great and everyone was so welcoming. I wish I had pictures but we inhaled it!

We were looking for a good place to eat, town was busy at 7 and i didn't want just a burger. Across the street we saw a sign that said Saloon, figured, well this is about our last chance and we were going to settle on burgers. But, OMG! Not here! Incredible mixoligist bartender, and the food was like no other. I had the short rib pasta and my wife had the mussels. So happy we wondered into this little gem. I forgot to mention the staff was on top of it and very friendly. Cheers!

We went here for dinner for a recent trip to Canmore. A party of six who showed up a bit later in the evening for dinner. Despite the small size of the restaurant we were seated immediately. The drinks were fantastic. And the food was unreal. Great service despite a couple indecisive members of our party. The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that we weren't notified of the restaurant having run out of a few menu items before we were given our menus to order dinner, otherwise absolutely fantastic. Definitely a nice treat and something you can't get just anywhere.

Came here here the one night for drinks and a late night snack. Was not disappointed! I ordered the surfer rosa and tater tots. The drink was so good! Nice orange flavor. The tater tots were the best I've ever had. Soo crispy and you get a lot! The seasoning on them was really nice too! They had other drinks that sounded really good that I would want to try like the shrub and bubbs. :)

Whewwwwwwww I think our waitress was drunk this afternoon. 3 out of 6 of our orders were wrong. No apology and no offer to remake the correct dish. We were in a hurry so we asked for the check. She brought the check and when we asked if we could pay half cash half card, she said to make sure we tip on the correct amount. Ha!!! I think waitresses don't get thanked enough. Maybe she had a tough day. Maybe she's gotten burned before, but that left a sour taste in our mouth. We still tipped the full 20%. I thought the restaurant was beautiful and fun. The food was delicious. The bean tacos were 8$ each! Too expensive. But the service was, excuse my French, merde.

Ace cocktails in a fantastic little saloon-styled bar. The bartender was delightful and recommended drinks. The atmosphere is perfect for a snowy mountain town. Leonardo DiCaprio apparently said that the Old Fashioneds here are his favourite. He was filming The Revenant when he visited this bar. The cheese and meat tray is completely worth all the wonderful flavours and house made pickles and onions!

Tried two days in a row to get in with a 6-year-old. Was told first day that minors weren't allowed after 8 pm, next day that they weren't allowed after 6 pm. Reasoning seemed quite unconvincing. :(

Cocktails are amazing. The old fashioned is one of the best I've ever had, in the world. It's all I drink. The food is also fantastic. We arrived 10 minutes before the kitchen closed and they were nice enough to allow us to order. Excellent service from the staff.

Great service. Limited menu. Stopped in for an appatizer and a bevy on our tour of Canmore. Server was really personable. Decided on some Baked almonds (pricy handfull of nuts...but they were good!). They did accompany our Ginger beer and tequila cocktails (the "Mexican Mule"!) very well. Small place with a great vibe and nice atmosphere. When we find ourselves in Canmore again... We'll be back to explore the menu further!

We wanted to grab a drink passing in the area my boyfriend and I but staff was so rude with him, we turned around and went next door! Next time please be patient with the customers and let them know an approximate time, it's simple to be nice with people and not rude. Not sure why this still happens, the customers bring you business so be nice to them.

Little to no service. Our seats were offered up before we had even been given our ticket. Drinks were good, but way over priced for the size. Fried cheese was tasty, but only comes with two small pieces for $14. Not worth it. Pass on this place, there are so many better options.

Went here with little ones for a late dinner and to try their cocktails. Pretty unassuming exterior, which makes it more alluring. There's a kids' menu, albeit limited selection. We took this as kids allowed. They had a best dinner ever with tater tots. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Duck confit crepes were outstanding, calamari was quality and not your typical small squid, we fought over the deep fried cheese and their schnitzel was fab. Their drinks were just great! Talented bartender with some real skill for mixing. Highly recommend this place for eats and sips. Prices were reasonable and worth it. Lovely service too!

My husband and I stopped by today for a late lunch. The service was great and the food was incredible! We started with deep fried cheese, my husband had the chilli and I had the falafel wrap, then we shared a creme brulee for dessert. My only complaint is that the creme brulee had not set properly and was mostly liquid (which is why I gave 4 stars), but I would come back over and over for the wrap. Great little place, can't say enough good about it!

Best cute little restaurant/bar in Canmore. Attention to details, originality in food and drink menus, and apparently every bit of interior design was hand curated by the founders. Now I make a point to stop there whenever I have the chance when going through Canmore, my other mandatory stop being Le Fournil bakery.

Awesome staff, especially Robin. Great drinks, yummy food. Several gluten free options. Will definitely return!
