"A popular business, Wholesome Bakery, known for decadent vegan and gluten-free treats, is closing its permanent location. Owner Mandy Harper will say farewell after service concludes today. The business won’t leave the city; fans can still order her baked goods through the business’ website." - Paolo Bicchieri

"Wholesome Bakery isn’t just vegan, it’s also free of gluten, soy, and trans fats. At the Divisadero Street cafe, you can find a solid selection of sandwiches, bowls, and salads, but go for the baked goods, including indulgence-worthy brownies, cookies, and cakes. Online ordering is available, and local delivery is free." - Paolo Bicchieri, Eater Staff

"NoPa has a fair share of coffee shops, but Wholesome Bakery is the only one serving a menu dedicated solely to vegan pastries. And the selection is solid. Fill up a cardboard box with the cinnamon rolls, apple scones with crispy edges, and pumpkin loaves that will easily satisfy your AM sugar rush quota. They also do excellent espresso drinks, and have a fridge stocked with grab-and-go breakfast things, like breakfast burritos with hibiscus bacon and granola." - Julia Chen

"A dedicated gluten-free, vegan, low glycemic index, and generally delicious bakery, Wholesome is the passion project of Mandy Harper. Creating recipes to serve her own dietary needs, she founded her operation in 2009, opening a brick-and-mortar location of her own in January 2018 to keep up with demand. Harper just opened for dinner, too, so expect even more sensitivity-centered deliciousness." - Paolo Bicchieri, Eater Staff
